Google
Two stars solely because one worker provided me with an acceptable, minimal, level of kindness & customer service (nothing exceptional but appreciated relative to the rest of his coworkers). I don't know what it is about crossroads trading-- every location from north to south the workers are absolutely miserable and rude. This location may be the worse as it is in the heart of West Hollywood where materialism and pretentiousness thrive-- and yet this city and its people are made up of performative activist who claim to preach justice, acceptance, peace & love (I suppose those morals are reserved for their media). I find this quite ironic considering their character reflects those they criticize-- our near and dear neighbors just up in Beverly Hills who carry the same arrogant and supercilious ways while sitting in their mansions. I can say this store and it's team does one thing really good and that is conforming to the norm of LA coffee shops and second hand stores where you can expect pretentious folks who call themselves activist and claim they're for the people when they really don't give a *unprofessional word I can't put in* about anyone. Well, at least their consistent with the stereotype. As for the specific workers I'm referring to from today: there was a shorter black woman with good style and wearing lots of accessories who worked in the try on section as well as a shorter white man with trimmed facial hair and semi long hair at the register going through donated clothes. This was around 12:30-1:15 today. Although, as a whole, the team is simply not great. Godspeed to them.

Google
Awesome new location that’s bigger and better than their older location. Plenty of good pieces for menswear especially shoes, pants and button down shirts. You’re most definitely paying more for the curation of the productions but I found some great boots while I was here. I only rated them 4 stars since they don’t have bathrooms, which is a real bummer for some of us. Overall solid great addition to the neighborhood.

Google
Horrible place to come and sell! Came here during a Monday to try and sell a small bag of clothing. Waitlist had about 15-17 people already but I tried to wait it out. There were only 2 employees sorting through HUGE bags (1 when the other went to lunch/break). Why would a major business voluntarily shortstaff like that, especially when theres no guarantee they’ll take any of your stuff???? To kill time I looked around and found a good selection of stuff Id liked to buy, but ended up not doing because I left before I had to pay for parking. Apparently you can reserve your place online remotely, which is just really discouraging as someone who actually showed up and was looking to buy stuff while selling. Find someplace else!

Google
This store needs better ventilation and better cleaning. I felt the air was bad while I was there, like my nose was feeling it. One and half day later I got bad sore throat. I got some kind of infections there. That was the only place I went.

Vivian Gould

Google
I came into this new location looking for a specific style of heel, not really expecting to find anything that specific to what I wanted. I was looking around and I think I probably looked confused, so a sales associate, I believe her name was Daisy, asked me if she could help and ended up finding me the most incredible pair of shoes that were even better than what I was originally looking for AND fit me like perfectly...and I've never had one pair of shoes ever fit me perfectly. So thank you Daisy, I hope I got your name right! I love my new heels!

Google
Awsome crossroads trading store in west Hollywood / los Angeles California 🏖🌴😉 they got great service/selections of itams. Staff Here are excellent to me . This location is moving to a better & bigger location nearby soon .....thier is public bus transportation stops and parking around

Joey Campbell

Google
They have a decent selection of clothes but the unfriendly customer service made my shopping experience uncomfortable. The guys that work here (including the manager) were complaining about customers really loudly in front of everyone

Kyle Schee

Google
Total waste of time to sell here. Waited 45 minutes to be told they’d only accept one item. A brand new pair of boots still in the box worth $140 and offered to pay me $16 for it if it sold. The clothing on sale was basically thrift store quality for a higher price too.

Carly H.

Yelp
This place is the bomb! They have really unique pieces that you will only come by once so I will definitely come back to see what else comes in. Some of the clothes have a slight smell or a small stain here and there but it is a used clothing store! I have found some designer items for a really good price that were in reasonable condition! The workers here are pretty nice. Some of the employees didn't greet me but others made up for it! Gwen was very accommodating when I wanted to try on a lot of things and was nice enough to ask about my day. The person at the register was also very nice to me so I will definitely be back. Well done crossroads!

Yelp
Not upgrading my rating just adding more. I did shop here today for something specific (film fest outfit), and I'd say this is definitely more of a vintage/consignment than thrift store. The prices aren't gonna be cheaper here, they just have discounted used name brands. So you'll get a deal and save money but it's not Marshalls in other words. I scored a one-of-a-kind pink jumpsuit that was probably 75% off retail price but still twenty bucks, and that was sitting next to stuff marked at a hundred bucks or so. Service is normal, some nice cashiers some snooty ones depending on the day.
google avatar

Blake C.

Yelp
I really do like to shop here: because every so often there are great gem pieces at excellent prices. but selling here/ dealing with any of the employees is always very frustrating. They are not considerate with your time AT ALL. the wait times are ridiculous. and for no other reason other than employees not doing their jobs. I'm waiting in line to sell - and the ONE guy who is going through people's bags keeps going on his phone to text every few minutes. or stopping to chit chat and gossip with his co worker. So it's taking him 20 + minutes to go through one small bag of clothing. i'm standing here just watching him dance and sing to the music.. talk. text on his phone ... while i have other things to do today it's just inconsiderate and unprofessional. i won't ever be coming back here to sell again because i don't have hours out of my day to wait like this. also... an elderly woman asked this guy for help checking in with the kiosk to sell her clothes and he said "sure like i have nothing else to do" under his breath but loud enough for me to hear. the lack of professionalism - customer service - simple manners... very disappointing update : because i waited to leave to post this - i ended up being in there waiting 1.5 hours. with only 2 people ahead of me to sell with small bags. never again.

Yelp
The new location is great, but you'd think the staff would have more positive energy. Everyone here is rude. Honestly, most of the staff needs to be replaced, except for maybe one or two people. Where's the Manager?
google avatar

Anqi L.

Yelp
Waiting was bit long, very busy store, they have very strenuous check for selection, the stylist was nice, in general, if you are looking for selling there, don't have a high expectation if they will pick most of your cloth. The percentage is among the highest compared with others.
google avatar

Megann M.

Yelp
DO NOT waste your time trying to sell clothing to this location. The buyers are under the impression it's a high end used clothing store. Numerous times I have taken shoes and clothing in VERY common sizes, 4/6 clothing and 7-1/2 shoes, in great condition and they have declined to purchase. You may be asking if I had bad taste or if the clothing /shoes are outdated or cheap- it's not. Just save yourself the inconvenience and sell elsewhere! #wasteland #buffaloexchange
google avatar

Marcelino R.

Yelp
One of the best places for thrift shopping. The buyers are pretty great because I always seem to find something to buy! Solid selections for every season and gender. Great customer service and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this location oh.... and btw It's also moving down the street to Hancock ave and Santa Monica Blvd soon.

Amber C.

Yelp
The service was nice once it was our turn. But they made us check in on the tablet and it was our first time ever doing this. And they didn't explain that they only take seasonal things and it can't be certain brands basically. So we waited over two hours when they told us it was a 30 min wait. Just to be seen for 5 minutes then told no for everything. Their stuff they had was priced major overpriced and they gave me $5 for a $50 top that had a tag
google avatar

Sofia D.

Yelp
Tried to give this place another chance, but the people working the buying counter are rude every single time I come in. I will literally try to greet them even though I feel like that should be part of their job... and they will not respond and just glare... They will take all my best clothes that I could have sold 1 piece for the price of how much they gave me in store credit (which is double what they would give u in cash) .. which is disgraceful if you take the cash option.. not even worth it. Literally wanted to ask for all my stuff back. If they dont like you, then they wont be fair about pricing on your clothes... just an observation Ive made from selling many times to this location. Wont be selling here ever again /: Tried to many times with bad experiences..

Yelp
Michael is super nice! I shop at several locations and is always smiling and gives great customer service. Retail is challenging and even though they might not trade your clothing choices the attitudes of the staff are what makes customers loyal shoppers.

Mia T.

Yelp
If you want a good defense after you've harassed a customer just turn it around and claim they threatened you. You'll get rewarded with time off and have the customer barred from their store. Problem solved! Please do not give CR's your hard earned money. I've spent minimum 20k at this location this past year alone. I just wanted to give CR's my money. I used to love shopping here. That's all changed into a complete nightmare of calls and disparaging remarks from CR's. After repeatedly being harassed by their employee I told a manager who's response was so, so nasty. She kept repeating that no one has ever complained about that employee before or any of their employees, but stated there would be an investigation. Ten days later I received a call from the district manager who notified me that I'm no longer welcome at the store and THE EMPLOYEE WAS REWARDED WITH FOUR DAYS OFF CLAIMING SHE FELT THREATENED WHILE I'VE BEEN TOLD I'M NOT WELCOME AT THEIR STORE. The head manager told me that they can't talk about how they're dealing with the employee, but that they are investigating. Perhaps she didn't want to mention they gave her a four day vacation after accusing me of threatening her. They aren't savvy enough to even think the employee would lie in retaliation. All I can say is that I'm the desired customer with tons of money who doesn't want attention but just wants to be alone and buy clothes while minding my own business. I'm polite to everyone but they treated me like GARBAGE while rewarding the employee who HARASSED me consistently. Their calls and allegations towards me have been demeaning and unprofessional in the least.

Yelp
Ok so I knew this placed sucked last time i was trying to sell but I gave it another chance. Do the buyers know who shops here? Its in West Hollywood and should have better menswear but the idiot girls who do the buying passed over Todd Snyder, Reining champ, Vince, plus Acne and Nudie Jeans. Not sure what they are looking for but if i take how they dress then they must be looking for H&M. So confused by the store. Not one thing in that mens section that I would want to buy.

CC S.

Yelp
Aggressive cashier with the forever21 von Dutch hat and disinterested employees who just stand and watch when said aggressive cashier verbally attacks the people who are trying to cash out. Embarrassing for the company. Dont waste your energy or $$ here.
google avatar

Stefan P.

Yelp
Update to Sean's response to me. It is just as I said in my initial review. The girls at your location are as stated. Snooty and rude. She turned away a pair of men's Ferragamo shoes because she said they were a little worn. Turned her nose up and scoffed. Hmm all the stuff you carry is worn. I'd had luck with a male employee just the day before at your location. The guys are always nice. So I took this same pair of shoes to the Melrose location and was waited on by a guy. Guess what? Nice. Bought the shoes immediately no problem.
google avatar

Violet N.

Yelp
Sorry 3% surcharge for dirty, smelly, USED clothes. Meanwhile the company keeps the profits and employees in this location give you attitude while you're checking for bugs in the clothing. Hard pass no. I'd rather shop on Etsy.

Ubf Belt H.

Yelp
Very rude staff and the pay out is just not worth the time. Waiting over 2 hours to be told NO to brand new Nike, Rick Owen's, Gucci etc. Will not return. Ever.

Lil P.

Yelp
Rude staff. Took them an hour and a half to go through my one bag? There was only one person infront of me lol.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
As many other reviewers have stated, your experience at Crossroads definitely depends on who your buyer is. Sometimes I've brought in a bag and almost everything was bought, other times only 1 or 2 pieces (when they all were designer or high end brands and styles comparable to what was in the store). The amount you get per item is pretty low, but if you would have donated items for free, I guess $10-$15 is fine? But you're probably better off just donating at a place like Out of the Closet or trying to sell it yourself on Poshmark or Mercari.

Elle G.

Yelp
Selection not impressive. Service just okay. Greedy / petty ownership I will not support. I will update my review when this place removes it's ridiculous additional "3% surcharge" that's added to each purchase. EDIT: Staff should be paid fairly WITHOUT surcharges to the customer. I did ask the cashier for the surcharge to be removed and I was told it's not possible per management.

Sean Y.

Yelp
I've never received a greeting from the people in the store. Even when I say hello first to the selling desk they just glare and don't say anything. They are so rude every time I go in. This isn't Rick owens or gucci it's literally crossroads and I feel uncomfortable every time I talk to the selling desk as if im some sort of peasant. Won't be coming back this is 5th time I've felt like this. Management clearly needs to clean house. The other crossroads is better because they actually treat you like a human

Olivia C.

Yelp
Act too picky looking at clothes either the same brand or worse quality on the racks - not worth trying to sell anything here.

Durainaz F.

Yelp
I much prefer the Melrose location. The staff actually look through clothes you bring in to sell. I had 5 bags of nice items Zara, Joie, Anthropologie etc and a guy called Daniel didn't take a single item. I KNOW fashion and he seemed clueless and the worst fit for a job here. I am very disappointed.
google avatar

Glydia C.

Yelp
My place to find gems. They took a decent number of my items so I'm happy for that. Glad I found items to trade for because you get 50% of the price they can sell your item for in trade or 30% cash. Can't believe I used to take bags and bags of clothes over the years to goodwill and just donate there. Never again.
google avatar

Jesse P.

Yelp
I was happily surprised by this place. I love thrift stores and second hand stores. This place, it's like going to the actual store at thrift store prices. I am a total fan! I bought sneakers, jeans, a hoodie and an entire bag of goodies. If you are close by, check this place out. You will be glad that you did. I know I was.
google avatar

Alyson F.

Yelp
OK let me tell you that I've been to almost every crossroads from Orange County to LA and this is a really good one. The buyers here are very professional they're very nice and I know what they're doing. They definitely know the right stuff to buy. Rachel was awesome! Thank you guys
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
Great selection of things - I scored some jeans and a silk pantsuit! The store is organized well and pretty busy even on a weekday morning. Everyone who helped me was laid back and friendly. Parking is available too - meters outside and a small lot!!

Shannon L.

Yelp
Came in to try to buy today. First impression store super messy and smelly. Second impression the ladies except for the sweet gentleman were not welcoming at all. There was a larger fair skin girl at the buy counter that did not take any of my items. When asked why she didn't take anything she said it was because I had no good brand name things and she said it with attitude as if she was too good to take my items. When I got a second opinion the other girl told me she was a brand new manager in training and then she proceeded to say they were being selective and full. I of course went to melrose location and they took everything. I'm always disappointed coming here because of how inconsistent they are. I'm going to start going to Buffalo exchange as they always take my things and nicely at that. Crossroads do better at training your staff especially these new people that alter experiences like mine! Totally unfair and a huge waste of time. You are driving your customers away.

M P.

Yelp
It's fine but They charge a 3% livable wage fee when you checkout. It would be awesome if Crossroads could just pay their employees more instead of dumping the costs on the customer.
google avatar

MorningSta R.

Yelp
Clothes are hyperinflated prices for cheap garments. Style is hit or miss, mostly miss. 1 star for going back to only store credit return w/in 7 days--without notice upon checkout. The pandemic is not over. This is a low end thrift store. Bad capitalist business..
google avatar

Zoe L.

Yelp
There are three other Crossroads closer to me but I go straight to this one because it's huge and therefore maybe takes more of my clothes. Selection is funky fantastic and more interesting to look through than the other stores. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plan to wait an hour if you're selling clothes but you can leave your phone number and they'll text you when ready for you.
google avatar

Ezana C.

Yelp
This is my favorite crossroads to come to when I'm selling my stuff. They have a really nice selection on the racks. Staff are really welcoming too! Always walk out a happy customer :) shout out Cody Rachel and Chanel y'all keep doing your thing!!
google avatar

Rob J.

Yelp
Sort of a shady buying process. They claim it's because of Covid but basically you drop off your stuff and you don't get a chance to see how much they will give you. You then get a check later for a low amount. I dropped off like 12 pairs of basically new Levi's, 2 H+M suits, a new Puma fanny pack - and all I got was a handwritten check for $62.95. No itemization or description of what they paid per item. Just seems a bit shady.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
I did a major clean out of my closet and brought a couple bags here to sell. The buyer was so pleasant with me. She specifically asked me if I wanted to tell her about any of my items and was very receptive to some additional information on one of my items. They do seem very selective in what they take but the store is reflective of that. It definitely had the best inventory of all the crossroads in the area. I will definitely be back to buy and sell.

Wendy Z.

Yelp
THE most unprofessional thrift store ive even been to!! Made an acct just to share my experience. There was the smell of mildew in the mens sectionIn addition, im usually lenient with workers as i can understand customer service is taxing HOWEVER when i was inquiring about selling i was interrupted by an employee who was showing something on her phone to the other employee trying helping me. I believe her name tag read Rachel,so unprofessional especially at her big age. Never going again
google avatar

Tomas W.

Yelp
I try to visit this Crossroads once a week. They take a good amount of my items when selling, and I always walk out with something off the racks. The customer service is fuego. Tysm Cody Rachel Chanel specifically!

Claire J.

Yelp
Horrible experience. I've never made a Yelp review before but I made one for this review. I just felt so disrespected. I went there to sell my clothes and waited about 45 minutes before they called my name. (not a big deal, it as busy). When my name was called I put my bag up on the counter and before I was able to say a word to the worker, a man walked up to the counter and started talking to her. She clearly recognized him and turned to me and said that it would just be a few more minutes before it was my turn. I was confused because my name was called but I thought maybe there was a mix up with the wait list, so I waited on the side. I was waiting right by the counter. I could hear the girl speak with the man who came ahead of me. He said "sorry for not singing up, girl, but I know you always got me." She told the man that she wouldn't have had him wait in line. Now, I hate to eavesdrop, but they were speaking very loudly. I felt as though it was very unfair for the employees to give special treatment to certain customers. There were many of us waiting to sell and they did not even try to hide that they were playing favorites. I have sold my clothes many places before, selling high end, designer clothing and even have put items on consignment at other establishments in the past. If the man was dropping clothes off or only had one item I could maybe understand, but to simply tell me to wait after already telling me I was next in line was frustrating. THEN to make it worse, another worker calls another persons' name and that person starts to bring their bags up. I politely tell the worker that I was actually next in line to sell. She tells me that she will "add me back to the list" because I was not there when my name was called. I assured her that I was, but I still waited. After another 30 minutes of waiting, the first worker had finished with the man who skipped the line. I went up to her and asked her about getting started on mine. She rolled her eyes and agreed. She took my ID and I told her that this was my first time selling at this store. She said "yeah so we only take certain things but I'll let you know what I can take." I expected her to give me any more details on the process of selling, but at this point I was exhausted. After only going through a couple items she turns around and brings shows one of my items to a girl behind her and whispers something and they both giggle and snicker. I'd had enough. I said, "Excuse me, I think I'm just going to go home." I thanked her and started packing my items back in my bag. As I was doing so she smiled and exchanged glances to the other employees, whispering things to them. I was done. I asked her if I could speak to her manager and she said that she was the manager. I told her that she was being very unprofessional and that I will not be coming back. I could have given her more specific feedback, but to be honest, that is not my job. She should be taught to not be rude and disrespectful to customers by YOUR management, Crossroads! Based on some other reviews, your employees lack of customer service and hospitality seem to be a HUGE theme. As a owner of my own business, I would re-think your hiring practices if I were you.
google avatar

Mimi C.

Yelp
I've only sold with this company once; it was five men's pieces in the mid 2000s at the Melrose location. I went to samo blvd and used the app to see the line to sell. Note I went 15 mins after they open and there were already two people ahead of me. Plus: they have parking. I took ten men's pieces (guess, gap) all new with tags. They offered me $5 or $6 cash for each so I declined. However; the rep Brandi was very nice and while I didn't do any actual business, they were nice.
google avatar

Sana R.

Yelp
Only two stars because they only wanted to buy a pair of new gold heels from me when I had a large trash bag full of clothes! They didn't even buy my new Paige jeans. They only buy items for the current season so do not take any sweaters to sell. Did I sell them my new gold heels? No! I had a feeling they were low balling me so I went to Buffalo Exchange where they paid me double for them. But even Buffalo Exchange did not buy all the other clothes, so I left them there as they said they would donate them. Once you check in at the buying desk, they put your name on a waiting list and then call you. It was not too long of a wait during the weekend (15 min). Parking- there was a tiny lot that only has one open spot during the weekend and I snagged it!
google avatar

Eva Audra B.

Yelp
Usually have good buyers who are friendly and receptive and know the trends. Got a horrible buyer this evening who was clearly not in the mood to be working. Declined 3 pairs of great winter boots that Wasteland took in a minute. Will skip this Crossroads for selling in the future and go straight to Wasteland or Buffalo Exchange. Mostly the attitude of this buyer makes me never want to return. She was SO over the top rude.
google avatar

courtney a.

Yelp
I used to love this place. Today I went in hoping to use my store credit. The system was down so nope couldn't use it. That's ok I still kinda wanted this one ugly ragged overpriced sweater. I casually asked if they ever talk down prices. (Thinking maybe on a day when the store system was down --making shopping more inconvenient then I already find it to be, they might!) Well the young lady laughed at me. Said no. Then mumbled "crazy". Maybe I am actually a crazy not-in-my-20's anymore person shopping at a high-end goodwill. But that's still rude for customer service.
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
This place is the WORST crossroads of them all avoid at all costs. Not only were they extremely rude and offensive when I was trying to sell clothes but also were incredibly rude when I told them about an item I had purchased from their store that was dirty and damaged saying "well you bought it." I couldn't believe how disgusting their behavior was given they work in customer service. If you don't want to be insulted I suggest going to the crossroads on Melrose.
google avatar

Jill D.

Yelp
Terrible No Style bratty teenage girls at register who wouldn't know a good designer item of clothing if it slapped them in the face. They need to hire well trained and informed staff to do the buying. Average Selection of ZARA, Madewell, J. Crew etc. that's what they consider "Designer". If you have any good merchandise don't bother bringing it.
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
Very poor selection. Customer service is mediocre and their buy options for trading is close to none. If they do trade or buy it won't put more than a penny or two in your pocket.
google avatar

Lia V.

Yelp
Wow. The people who work here are incredibly rude. They don't want to help you and they treat you like you're a peasant asking for scraps of food. Who does that? So unnecessary! If you choose to work in a customer service industry please have decent human interaction skills. As in, treat people like they're people. Honestly you're not better than anyone else because you work at a used clothing store. Get over yourself and get a real job.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
This place has really gone down hill. I loved coming here to sell because the staff was so amazing but now they're beyond rude. It's sad I probably won't be back.
google avatar

Zorab O.

Yelp
Terrible customer service, extremely rude, unprofessional and unhelpful and employees will gang up on you as a customer if you dare and say something. Border line bullying attitude. unacceptable behavior.
google avatar

Darius W.

Yelp
Always love swinging by here during my days off and down time. You can find some really good designer used/new clothing for affordable prices. I love thrifting and the Crossroads locations here I find better then the ones out in NYC. For example I bought a $395 John Varvatos Blazer for $40. It was in new condition and I still get so many compliments till this day! Good luck & happy thrifting!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Definitely don't try to get your clothes sold here. I gave them a bunch of amazing clothes, stuff like G star etc., and they paid me nothing for it. They turned around and donated everything.

Emi T.

Yelp
This used to be the BEST Crossroads!! Something has changed within the last year, and it's now every bit as disappointing as the one on Melrose. This Santa Monica Blvd store used to purchase cute, and trendy clothes. They were a little less concerned about "name brands" than that other store, and more about cute, fashionable, or unique items. Now they have gone towards name brands- meaning as long as it has some kind of brand name, they will buy it, no matter how boring, plain, or out of date it is. This used to be my go to spot for cute finds! Now, nothing catches my eye. :-( So sad to see it transform for the worse. I also used to come in with giants bags of cute clothes to sell, and they would purchase at least 75% of it. Now, they don't buy more than 1 or 2 things. They will pass on very cute pieces that still have the tags on. It's all very strange.
