The 26 Best Restaurants in Anchorage, Alaska | Eater

"An elevator ride up to the top of the iconic Captain Cook Hotel takes you to the fine dining French and American Crow’s Nest restaurant, among the fanciest dining spots in town. Nestled inside is a walk-in bar with a 360-degree view of the city. You can tuck into a small collection of booths and snack on a limited menu that includes a great burger and, when available, local oysters. The cocktails are expensive but exemplary." - Julia O'Malley

Excellent restaurant! So glad we were able to snag a reservation here. On clear evenings the 360 view is outstanding. The service was excellent, the wine menu was overwhelming in the best way, and the food was very tasty. My favorite dishes were the halibut and the cheese plate. Highly recommend both of those dishes!

My friends and I had a great experience here celebrating a birthday! The service was top notch and the views from our table were amazing. Each of us enjoyed our meal throughly. They even did something special for my friend’s birthday! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Anchorage!

The Crow’s Nest offers a truly spectacular view of Anchorage—an unforgettable backdrop for our grand finale after a wonderful Alaskan cruise and scenic train ride to Denali. From start to finish, the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and professional. The food was absolutely outstanding, with every course—from the salad to the dessert—prepared and presented beautifully. The salmon and steak were outstanding. I would highly recommend dining here if you're looking for a memorable culinary experience in Anchorage. Don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed!

Went here for our 10th anniversary for some fine dining and we were not disappointed at all! The service we received was excellent!! The hostess even told us happy anniversary as she checked us in at our table which I was impressed with. Drink waiter did everything exceptional treating us like royalty. The waiter was well versed in all of the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. She worked hard along with everyone else. The atmosphere! Well for Alaska, this place is well kept and very clean. Nothing was out of order! Our table, window side, was a thing of absolute beauty! All high class! The food! Tasted wonderful and was all made to perfection. The Venison was made to my liking along with King Crab and corn bisque leaving no complaints at all!! Thankful for the happy anniversary chocolate dish. Thanks for the memories! Applause to all at Crow’s Nest!!

5 starts to the bartender Eveline. Very professional, well spoken, polite and person centered. My oysters were very quite tasty. Loved them. The sobet was a surprise but was too sweet for my taste. I loved the atmosphere and the view. If you're in Anchorage, I'd recommend to visit this bar.

Google
Amazing restaurant in the Captain Cook Hotel, located on the top floor of the hotel with stunning views. The food and cocktails were superb, our server Jill was outstanding and the atmosphere is professional, yet warm and cozy if that makes sense.

Google
service and atmosphere is great, i have never actually eaten here other than their mother's day and Easter buffet which is so worth it. i love the omlette bar but i do think some dishes lack in flavor. but i would come back for the brunch buffet for sure. the desserts were so beautiful kudos to the dessert chef

Google
Where else can you get million dollar views, craft cocktails, stellar service, and good food? This bar quickly became a favorite for sunset drinks. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. There is seating at the bar and at a few tables with bar service. There is a bar menu for food. The burger was good, although I would have preferred a better side then potato chips, especially for that location/ theme of the bar.

Yelp
We came to crows nest for our anniversary dinner on a Wednesday at 5pm (opening time). Crows nest is located in the captain cook hotel on the 20th floor. I had never been here before and I really enjoyed the experience. We got a table (1 out of 4) in a corner room and had a 180° view of downtown Anchorage. It was a bit cloudy and eventually started to flurry by the time we were done but we had a great view. Our server was OK. Not sure if she was new or what but she seemed to hesitate or have to think about what to say most of the time. Overall she was absolutely fine. Our waters were filled and we were checked on thoroughly. We started off with some cocktails, couldnt find a menu online so it was a surprised of what they offered. (Menu pictured below) I got a blood orange cosmo and it was really good! I actually liked the Yukon Smoke better, it has mezcal and was Smokey but so good! Decent priced cocktails as well, mine was $12! I can name so many local places who are mostly $18 cocktails. We got the fried olives as the appetizer, there were maybe 14 olives and they were so good! I'd definitely get those again. For the entrees, they are pretty pricey but you kind of get more to it, like some rolls(not as good of a bread service as they could do though. The water guy came and gave us one roll each and some butter. After awhile he came by and offered us one more bread I thought we only would get one) I got the Kodiak scallops (44$) had some risotto, tomato sauce, and a Parmesan crisp with pine nuts. It's smaller portions for a high prices, but they gave us a small cup of soup(like a few bites) and the bread I just wish maybe some more risotto would be nice. I know fancy places do small portions. Also the pickled cranberries were interesting but so good. For dessert we try every crème brûlée in town and theirs was very good. No fruit with it, it had pumpernickel biscotti and whipped cream. The crème brûlée had a vanilla taste and it was better than a standard Brulé! This is definitely a fancy place and our bill was $180 with tip. It's nice they give you bread, soup, and chocolates. I would go sit in the lounge next time because they have amazing drinks!!

Yelp
Better the first time. We came to this restaurant in July of 2024. Food was good, service was good, friendly and helpful. Food was excellent back in 2024, oysters were large came with a nice sorbet as a palate cleanser. Fish was tasty, perfectly cooked and flaky. Fast forward to June 2025. What happened? Oysters were the same price, smaller and less plump and no sorbet. Cost cutting? The Halibut was bland, and the black cod was bland. Needed to add salt. The walnuts on the Cod were bland and had no flavor whatsoever. No idea what a AAA 4 Diamond restaurant is, but this place is just OK. Service is good, but I've had good service at a place like Kincaid Grill. I think you're paying for the fact that it's in a nice hotel with a nice view. The steaks are just ok. The pork chop was good and the filet was tender. This doesn't negate the fact that for this type of restaurant, it's very inconsistent. It also doesn't change the fact that a year ago this place would've been a 5 star and is now in my opinion a 3.

Yelp
- the view is the star of the show - decent service - ok crab - $200 steak was good - decent drinks - people were not as dressed up as I thought they'd be - good for fancy celebration dinners

Yelp
I was here for an event and we decided to come have dinner. I had the amazing arugula salad with tomato soup. Both were sooooo good and flavorful. The salad was fresh and the cheese crumbles topped it off. The soup was nice and hot which made it great on the cold evening. Service was quick and easy. The bread was fresh and warm my butter melted as it spread across the slice. I had a martini which was perfect. It was the end of a great first day in Anchorage. The ambiance is beautiful.... The atmosphere is amazing, the view over the city makes a nice touch from the 20th floor. Great for date night. Will come back when in town

Yelp
We have been coming to Crows nest over the years. Views are amazing from every table, servers are knowledgeable with excellent customer service. We have sampled most items on the menu. With each new updated menu item we are always excited to give it a try. Never being disappointed. Our starter must try list is Bone marrow, lobster roll, oysters on the half shell. Chef always starts you off with something tasty. They strive for freshest items they can get. Always encourage the fresh items on menu. Highly suggest reservations specially in the summer months. You might get lucky and get a table but why take that chance. For Anchorage fine dining at its best. From table settings, to all the well seasoned staff & views you do not want to miss.

Yelp
For my recent trip to Anchorage, I was traveling with a coworker who never been to Alaska. One of the key stops, is always to go to the Captain Cook Hotel, and go to the Crow's Nest for a drink and appetizer. We did do that. As you can see by my photo, I had the Elmer T Lee, bourbon, which was a really good price, and my coworker had a local beer, which he really enjoyed. The bartender, Evelyn, was great, very engaging, explaining many things to us. As for the food choice, we ordered off a bar menu, and had the local burger, which came with some fresh made crisps. For the burger, it was not my favorite. The meat was not seasoned very well, or did not have a lot of flavor. The pork confit on top, was bland and a bit mushy in my opinion. I couldn't tell if it was a fish product or pork. Usually, you don't confuse those two. We ate it all, as we were hungry, but all in all, I would've preferred just a basic burger with some bacon and lettuce, tomato, etc. All my opinion. Great ambience in the bar, there were not many people when we got there, actually there were none. The bar did fill up with a couple other people at the bar, enjoying the view, which is amazing, along with the cocktails and really good liquor pours that they have.

Yelp
We had a really lovely dinner here on our first night in Anchorage. Great service, great food, great view. We did not order any dishes that were prepared table-side, but we got to watch the very dramatic preparation of a flambé coffee drink which was elegantly prepared by our server for another table.

Yelp
Ambiance: Very nice, fancy, sit down restaurant. Dress up! Service: Good. Attentive. Food: Alright let's get into this! As a couple, we are realizing that these fancy, higher end restaurants are not our thing. We decided to do this because it was in our hotel and thought we should have one high end dinner during our visit. We started with Bone Marrow and Oysters. The Bone Marrow was really good. Comes with toast to spread the marrow on. Oysters were on the bigger end but they don't come with the standard stuff you would think it would with oysters (lemon, sauce, etc). There was no "juice" in the oysters making them "bone-dry". I don't know if that is an Alaskan thing or just this particular restaurant. Do some research before you order oysters. Haha. We clearly didn't. Entrees we got the Halibut and Salmon. Both were very good! They do not come with sides so make sure you order if you want something else to go with your entrees Overall for the price, we were not impressed and would have rather spent our money elsewhere. Even the drinks were just okay to the point I didn't finish mine due to taste. If you want a nice romantic dinner, this is a good choice but if you are here to eat with price and quality in mind maybe try something else.

Yelp
Stephen at the tourist information center recommended The Crow's Nest as a relaxing place with great food and an amazing view of Anchorage. He was not wrong! We sat in the bar area with views of the downtown area on one side and water views on the otherside. We opted for the burger with housemade chips and it was delicious. For dessert we had mint ice cream that tasted exactly like fresh mint from the garden and the warm donuts (beignets) that were filled will lemon curd (and were just ok). Ashley provided outstanding service with a smile and kind word - even though every table was full and she was running to keep up. She is a true gem! I would love to come back and try other items off the delicious looking menu and enjoy the majestic views and elegant atmosphere.

Yelp
I am unfamiliar with fine dining, but I had to check out the Crow's Nest with how much I've heard about it. I was very impressed. Chelsea, my waitress, was super sweet and informative. I got the swordfish entrée and the black forest for dessert. It was all very delicious. I will admit, I wish there had been more swordfish, as I wasn't quite full afterward. I suppose the dessert helped with that. I also shared a picture of the amuse-bouche, which is meant to help cleanse your palette. It seemed to be just an olive paste. I wish they provided more bread since they kept giving me only one roll at a time. The cocktails were great. I got the Sunburned Mush, which is vodka, orange juice, and raspberries, and the Denali Coffee cocktail.

Yelp
This was a great dinner night spot. Located in the Captain Cook Hotel, this restaurant is one of my favorites in Alaska , serving quality food, drinks, and excellent service. The views here are spectacular and it doesn't cost extra to sit next to a window. The crab bisque was a great choice for an appetizer, it had great flavor too. Our entrees for the evening were the filet mignon and prime ribeye. The filet mignon came cut in slices, which was a surprise, but it cooked to perfection and had a great sauce to pair with it! The shoestrings fries were its pair, although I wish it was a better side dish. The prime ribeye was also tasty, the sides were fine, nothing memorable. The dessert was a brownie paired with a toffee popcorn and it was good! Overall, I would come back here for a nice evening again.

Yelp
Nice experience. 4 of us went up to The Crow's Nest for pre-dinner cocktails. Our server was a sweet young woman. She really knew the menu well. She started us off with some complimentary bar snacks. We chit-chatted a bit about where we were from and where she's from. We ordered our drinks, they came and we relaxed for about 30 minutes. We were on the east side of the room, so I could see the small planes landing at a smaller airport to the east on the other side of the Sheraton Hotel. The Crow's Nest is a bit pricy for drinks and we knew that before we came here. The service level and views were worth it. Note too that you can eat dinner in the bar area as well. We'd come back to The Crow's Nest.

Yelp
We've been back to Crow's Nest a few more times since I wrote my original review last year, so I think it's time to update it. That fifth star is well deserved, that's for sure! I always recommend reservations, just to be on the safe side! The service is fabulous, I don't find anyone even the slightest bit pretentious and they're so kind and attentive. We joked about having our usual table and really love the location in the southeast corner. I wish there was a lamb dish back if the menu, because it was amazing before, but they've taken it off. Fried olives and cheese plates for appetizers, cocktails, Ribeyes, scallops, strip steaks, all amazing! While I was disappointed they took the carrot cake off the dessert menu, the options were still fantastic! Another knock it out of the park dinner last night!!!

Kristen A.

Yelp
Not only is the setting gorgeous - I love the preserved vibe of yesteryear - but the service and food was even better. We hit up the bar for an appetizer and some cocktails on our way around town. The drinks were solid, good pours! We shared the fried olives and lobster roll. I'm not a huge fan of olives but omg these were delicious!! Crispy, flavorful and just the right mix of tangy olive and goat cheese. Perfection. The lobster roll was also good, the roll was great and it was a generous mix of lobster to filling. I haven't been to the actual restaurant it I can solidly say the bar is great! A must do in Anchorage.

Yelp
Very disappointing. There is a reason that Crow's Nest isn't relevant any longer. They just don't seem to care about the dinner experience and as a long time Alaskan this was sad to experience. The evening started out poorly as they gave us what I expect in the worst table in the house. I don't think it is a regular table and appears just put out for Valentine's Day dinners. One chair is next to a wall and your view is of a post and half a window. The other chair looks at a wall only. I think one of the main reasons one goes there is the amazing view of our town. Why they have a table set up like this is stunning. The topper is that they had any number of other open tables but didn't move us when we asked. The meal was okay - we had the scallops and they were adequate. The desert was a fail. The apple donuts were dry as hell and the cheesecake was dry and paste-like. I feel like I let my wife down on this Valentine dinner. It feels like they are mailing it in honestly and living off of an old reputation built when Wally Hickel ran the place. Avoid the Crow's Nest.

Yelp
The Crow's Nest is an Anchorage classic and while I used to think it sat in the 4/5 star range, recent menu overhauls have moved it into the 4.5-5/5 star range for me for sure. To start with, the Captain Cook is beautifully decorated at the holidays and that extends to the Crow's Nest as well. The views from all tables are exquisite, showing off different parts of Anchorage. The service team is incredible, promptly bringing out drinks and ensuring waters are full. For a cocktail, I had a thyme bourbon sour, which was quite good albeit a bit too sweet for me. I had the crab bisque for a starter, which is a timeless classic and always hits the spot. For a main, I had their new duck leg, which was deliciously cooked and fell off the bone. The vegetables accompanying the duck were also wonderful. We were too stuffed by the end of dinner to have dessert but I suppose that's just an excuse to come back. Overall, the Crow's Nest is a perfect place for a fancy dinner in Anchorage.

Melissa D.

Yelp
The staff are five stars without a doubt. David was the absolute best server and their sommelier was really sweet and chatted with us for a while. The view is absolutely stunning and the food is good. The halibut was lively cooked and my husband got the fillet with crab which was nice but a bit salty. The dishes are simple but nice. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes. It is expensive but a really nice experience.

Yelp
Great views great ambiance and good food! This place was great for dinner with the boys. It is a bit on the pricey side for the amount of food you get but outside of that it was a really solid experience at the top of the captain cook!
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
This place is incredible every single time I've gone. I have never had 1 bad meal and/or experience. To start, the ambiance is very romantic and the restaurant is at the top floor of the hotel surrounded with floor to ceiling windows giving you the best views of downtown Anchorage or Turnagain Arm. Service is top notch. However, Dress up, I'm pretty sure they have a no tank, no flip flop policy. When you walk in and check in with the host they offer coat check before escorting you back to your table. Servers have been out within moments of being seated if not almost instantly. The food is wonderful, fresh warm bread to start, great appetizers and a ton of fresh and fun entrees. I wish I snagged more photos of my dinner but I was to enticed by the smell and just started digging in. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for a great place to date night out. Get all fancy and go enjoy a great dinner with an epic view! It is $$$$ so don't forget your wallet
google avatar

Maki S.

Yelp
The ONLY thing I'd change is I'd ask to be seated on the east or north side during dinner because it's a view of the mountains, and on the west side is a view of the water -- however as the sun is setting the screen is down so you can't really enjoy it. Otherwise, it opens at 4 and that's when you can take the elevator up to this lovely space. Service was prompt and polite, and food was really delicious. I recommend the house favorite: the pork chop. I ordered steak but had a little food envy. I'd definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely view, great local food, and friendly staff. On a recent trip to Anchorage I stayed at the Hotel Cap Cook and decided to treat myself to a special dinner. Dre greeted me and showed me to my seat with friendly conversation. Emma and Roberto provided excellent service. Emma was super knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful guidance. The atmosphere was lovely and food delicious. Not pictured was the Banana Split, because I got that to go and enjoy in my room.

Yelp
After reading many reviews, we decided to splurge on a dinner at the Crow's Nest while in Anchorage. Unfortunately, the evening of our reservation was quite overcast, so the view was underwhelming. That said, the service was impeccable and the food was generally tasty, if on the high side. After the complimentary amuse bouche, we decided to share a Caesar Salad (baby romaine, pecorino romano, crostini, black garlic Caesar dressing), which was smaller than expected, but did go nicely with the complimentary rolls, and two entrees: the King Crab Legs (one pound with lemon and drawn butter), which could have been plated in a more appealing manner, and the Salmon (babaghanoush, baby artichoke, wild mushrooms, Israeli couscous), which had a lovely crispy skin. For the price, it would've been nice if the non-protein ingredients were more plentiful. We finished the mean with the complimentary dark chocolates and jellies.

Tori F.

Yelp
Everything about this resturant screams nice date night. Servers are SO attentive and wonderful. One of the best steaks I've ever had and desert was okay but presentation made it that much better. Would definitely try another dessert the next time.

Yelp
We were visiting Anchorage for my birthday! My friends and Boo made a reservation at the Crow's Nest to celebrate which is one of my favorite places. The views are incredible, the food is awesome and the service is stellar. We started off with the apps of fried olives, raw oysters and the bone marrow. The bone marrow is my jam and this was some of the best I've ever had. It was seasoned well with caper relish and came with the yummiest grilled bread. The olives were also divine. I'm not an oyster fan but Boo loved them saying they were amazing, big, fat and juicy. We also had Caesar salads and split two amongst 4 of us. My only regret was not asking for my dressing, it was good. Next came our entrees, the Pork chop look great, Boo got the King Crab which was sweet and plentiful. I got the Halibut and my gal pal got the Salmon. Everything was spectacular! Of course we had left overs, it was a very delightful and rich meal. We opted out of dessert since we were full and had a show to go to. But they all sounded amazing. Highly recommend the Crow's Nest! A MUST!!
google avatar

Jenn B.

Yelp
Alaska was showing off, the sun was out and we had the perfect window seat to capture the sunset. The entire staff is incredibly customer focused. They are attentive and desire for you to have a memorable experience. Ordered the oysters as an appetizer along with the lobster appetizer. Moved to a soup course which was absolutely delicious! Who knew roasted cauliflower soup with pickled florets and hazelnuts would taste so incredible. Main course was a generous serving of scallops. Cooked perfectly. Finished off with a delicious dessert. If you are in Anchorage, AK, I would highly recommend the Crows Nest.
google avatar

Sharon O.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. The restaurant has beautiful views of Anchorage and we even got to catch the sunset. The service was great; very attentive and they made great efforts to make me feel special for my birthday! The food is definitely pricey, but quality is great. The pork chop was huge and delicious. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. Not a restaurant I would go to regularly because of its price point, but would definitely go back for special occasions!

Jonathon P.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. A favorite for us. Great view and atmosphere. Perfect for a special date.

Yelp
We landed in Anchorage in the afternoon and decided to try the Crow's Nest. It was dimly lit and very relaxing! It has spectacular views of Anchorage and it's surrounding mountains. Ashley was out waitress and she was very attentive and kind. I like to stick with one wine for the night, however, my husband loves to try new ones. I wish I could remember the wines but Ashley's recommendations upon his requests were absolutely delicious (I stole a sip from each). My husband eventually asked "surprise me with something opposite from previous wine" and she did not disappoint with a crisp Pinot grigip to finish up the night. The meat and cheese tray was also so delicious. Paired with the wines nicely. I had a lobster roll and we split a winter squash soup that felt like a warm hug in such a cold climate. Overall, anytime we stay at the captain cook we will be coming to the Crow's Nest.

Yelp
had half a lobster roll and clam chowder. solid all around. service was good too! nice view of the lake
google avatar

Justin A.

Yelp
The view is amazing. I got the rib eye, rare. It was flavored perfect, but was cooked more medium to medium rare. What makes this place stand out is the view. So come before the sunset to enjoy the view, you'll love it!

Yelp
The Crows Nest Bar atop the Hotel Captain Cook is the Best place in Anchorage to enjoy good drinks, a meal, and a view. Very popular with my friends and family. We enjoy the excellent service.
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
The food was amazing! For an app, we shared the risotto, absolutely tasty. I had the halibut, which was delicious!! Others at the table also had the halibut and the filet. Everyone loved their meal. For dessert, we shared the banana split, the sorbet, and a mango tart. The view from the wall to wall windows are of the bay, and are quite beautiful. The services is absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, friendly, and quick.

Yelp
on our last day in Alaska, we hit up the The Crows Nest which is an upscale American seafood spot and had great views of the mountains and Anchorage, and to drink I had a Old Fashioned that had house-made date simple syrup and black walnut bitters. Solid drink, and we also got the oysters which for some reason were ginormous and didn't taste the freshest or saltiest. The lobster roll was good and slightly zesty, but I've had better. Now for the main, I had the Alaskan King Salmon with beet puree which I absolutely loved. The salmon was nicely pan fried, and I loved the crunchy skin. The delicate salmon went really well with the earthy flavor of the beet puree. The fingerling potatoes weren't as salty as I had hoped, and truffle mushrooms weren't very truffly. For dessert, the warm bomboloni donuts were solid, but the espresso tasted like they overroasted their beans. I'd come back for the salmon and a drink.

Doug S.

Yelp
We made reservations months in advance at 530 pm, we were right on time and the dining room was empty. The hostess seemed unhappy to see us and we couldn't have been seated farther from the view of the Cook Inlet, The very last table in the back. Our server was very nice and the cocktails were great. We each received one cold dinner roll with butter. The Caesar salad appeared to have no dressing basically dry romaine, Parmesan and crouton. I ordered Salmon which was good but not hot, barely warm. My wife order King Crab for $125 that was something you would expect to see from Sizzler. The thinnest crab legs you could imagine, loaded with tendons. Costco in Northern Nevada has 10 times better King Crab. We each had a glass of wine which was very nice and the perfect temperature. We cancelled our return trip reservations and went to the Whale Tale On the trip back.

Yelp

Yelp
Stunning. Came here on a friends treat for a special occasion and will be coming back for others! Classy ambiance, knowledgeable staff, and delicious cocktails.

Yelp
Husband and I went here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The service was white glove from the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, attentive and made great suggestions. The food is pricey but well worth it, it was one of the most delicious meals we've had recently. And gorgeous ambiance with an unbeatable view. 10/10

Yelp
Amazing views, excellent food and top notch service. It's by far my favorite restaurant in Anchorage if not Alaska. If you haven't been to this place, you are definitely missing out.

Yelp
This was my second and definitely not last visit to the Crow's Nest. Impeccable service, wonderful ambiance and delicious food. The food was so filling and at no point did I ever feel rushed. Our waitress, was very helpful when we couldn't decide which bottle of champagne to order. The Crow's Nest is a venue I wish I could visit more regularly, but at the price point it is something that we will reserve strictly for special occasions and holidays. We started with the risotto which was devine. I enjoyed the bisque and my husband the salad. All wonderfully balanced and perfect serving sizes. I went with my usual, the king crab which was perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed the venison osso buco which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Ed G.

Yelp
Went to the Crow's Nest tonight. Very nice atmosphere, the staff were professional. The winelist is extensive (overwhelming). The food was good. Not great. More seasoning would do wonders. The issue was meal timing. Appetizers came out plates were cleared and 50 minutes later the meals came out. Just a few ticks too many. There are much better in Anchorage.

Monica S.

Yelp
The food was fabulous with terrific service and the view of downtown was amazing. Watching the moon rise was the best.

Yelp
Foods, ambiance, and service were top notch. We requested a table with nice ambience and we got it. Our server recommended the porkchop and I must say she really knew the best dish on the menu. Everything we got were excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant in Anchorage. It's inside Captain Cook hotel on the 20th floor.

Yelp
Such a beautiful restaurant with 360 views of anchorage on the 21 floor. Such a nice dining experience. They had a wait time of 45 min for walk ins or you can sit at the bar area for first come first serve. We got a seat immediately. The waitress was so great super attentive and talkative and really informative about all the dishes. Food was some of the best we had in Alaska for sure! Got the lobster crudo and the swordfish. I tried a bite of my husbands grain bowl and it was so good especially considering that it's vegan. The drinks are very heavy handed as well and the martinis are served table side for an added show. My favorite spot to eat now in Alaska

Yelp
I was a little torn with this review because our service was excellent. Patrick our server definitely deserves 5 stars but the food was somewhat disappointing. I made this reservation a month in advance from Arizona to celebrate my birthday so I was really looking forward to something great but instead it was okay. We tried the bone marrow for an appetizer which was good and I ordered the Halibut which was just meh. A 6 oz cut with no sides for $48 was a bummer, no seasoning or unique flavors really put a sour taste in my mouth.

Yelp
So my son took me to dinner last night to celebrate my 60th Birthday & I was so excited to go to the Crows Nest since I haven't been here in many years! The view was absolutely gorgeous & our host Dre was the nicest gentleman ever!! Our server Logan was good. Now your wondering why only 2 stars... if I could rate the customer service I would definitely give more stars. We started out with oysters & I have to say I have had better at another establishment in town, however the oysters come with a vinaigrette but we did have to ask for cocktail sauce which definitely made them taste better. We both ordered the Angus Ribeye Med Rare when the meal came out my steak was Med to well done... my sons wasn't Med rare either & his steak had quite a bit of fat. If a person is paying $58 for a steak I expect it to be choice meat & I don't think it was choice. In saying that when Logan came by the table & asked how we were enjoying our meal I was pleasant explaining to him my steak wasn't as I requested & he tried to tell me that due to lighting I may be wrong??? Now I'm not a professional cook however I'm a darn good cook & when I go to an upper class restaurant I expect them to cook better then me. Logan asked me what I wanted I said I'll just have a wedge salad because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. When he returned with my salad it was a warm salad which the menu doesn't mention that at All!! Being an Alaskan for 58 years I have been to all the restaurants & I should have known to stick with my favorite...Club Paris

Yelp
Definitely recommend reservations, the couple before us were on a waiting list with no guarantee to be seated. And not a quick in and out place either. They do validate parking in the garage. Went here for an anniversary/Valentine's Day dinner and it was impressive. The views (we were seated in a corner spot with views of downtown and the inlet), the ambiance, the service and the food did not disappoint. I usually order filet mignon with the intention of having a few bites of steak and sharing it- I like the sides best. But this had to have been the best made steak I've had as far as I can remember. No leftovers. Delicious drinks, "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on our dessert plate and a handwritten "happy anniversary" card. Details. Definitely coming back in the summer when the sun is setting over the inlet for more views and drinks.

Yelp
The view here is truly amazing and worth the price of admission. I feared the food would be "just ok" as is often the case with such a gorgeous setting. But the food was good overall and service was attentive. Cocktails, dessert, and steak to preferred temp were hit or miss. Overall woke recommend for a night out on the town in Anchorage.

Yelp
"Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-- While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door." ....ok well it's not called the Raven, but close enough, Crow's nest. The place boasts hosting presidents, a view, good food and great service! Our server was Chelsea, who was attentive, engaging and wonderful! She's such a sweetheart! The place boasts views of Alaska, of course the weather now is 50s cloudy, and rainy, so can't see much of the landscape! But any other night, I'm sure the views are great! The pork chop was pretty juicy and delicious and the bone marrow was good! The Banana Foster apparently is a delicacy here. They bring it to your table and some magic fire concoction Houdini type effect. The other tables were raving about it, so maybe next time! They brought a nice warm fluffy bread with some butter, to wet the palette, and a small appetizer complements of the house. Delicious meal. Great location, great service and Chelsea really went above and beyond. I got a nice Sangria that tasted better than the one I had in Barcelona! Who knew, anchorage would serve Sangria! I thought it would end up being a tourist trap but prices are something you would see in a regular steakhouse. There were other restaurants that were higher priced. Do call for a reservation even if it's same day. Staff was happy, engaging and definitely not pretentious!
