The food at cru's is extraordinary. The chef made a great menu, with a variety of different flavors. The historical building has a beautiful courtyard, a bar, balcony and two dining rooms. They also have extra rooms for private events. Besides dinner, the restaurant serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings combined with an amazing drag show from Vanessa Carr Kennedy and her friends, which is definitely going to be your highlight of your week in New Orleans!

Great food and service. The oyster were fresh, the Chilean sea bass simply delicious, crispy outside and soft inside . The veal chop flavorful, juicy and perfect cook And the last but not less important, the donut bread pudding, delicious. The dinner was a whole experience and Chef Marlon kind and so professional. We'll come back.

I’m elated to see Cru’s expansion and upgrade to a wonderful location in the historic Bywater. Chef Marlon and Ops Manager Aaron delivered visually appealing and palate appeasing food. While visiting during the soft opening, Cru was massively packed with a diverse genre of individuals as anticipated. In New Orleans when word spreads of a new eatery, a crowd runs to it. Cru focuses on an array of seafood from the raw, to seafood grilled, sautéed, fried and so much more. The calamari that was offered tonight was of a massive portion while extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Kelsea did an amazing job as well showcasing her love for Japanese food with her famous vegan jackfruit sushi. This location has a rustic look in both the courtyard on the ground level and treehouse upstairs, yet a romantic dining area, and a private events room. The courtyard decor and vibe was very especially dreamy and exciting. Cru is a must visit while in New Orleans. Great food and a wonderful atmosphere is most welcomed and withstands the test of time. I’m sure we will be seeing this restaurant around for a long time.

This place here is beautiful !!! But that is about where it ends. The waitress is ok as well . But just that ok she doesn’t know what they are out of which is everthing!!!! They must literally had to catch the chicken and shoot a cow our food took a hour to come!!! was it worth ummm i would say not sooo much. But if your with friends it may be ok cause talking pass the time but they are out of things rate food 2 in a half 3 food under cooked.

I LOVED this place from the staff to entertainment to the building to the food. The building was so beautiful, they even let us tour it. When we entered and left, we were greeted by everyone. My mother and I went to the Drag Brunch on a Saturday. It was our first time going to a drag show and it was EVERYTHING; I loved the stories of each performer along with their performances. The ending of the show was fun and Chef Marlon came out, himself. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the crab cake topped with arugula salad and the bottomless mimosa, it was the best crab cake I've had in my life. My mother ordered the shrimp and grits and she loved her dish, also. I've had my BEST experience here, being my first time visiting NOLA. I definitely recommend it and will be coming back!
