The 14 Best Restaurants in Carrollton | Eater Dallas

"Traditional Cuban dishes like ropa vieja (shredded beef) and pan con lechon (roast pork sandwich) are favorites, alongside notable specialty items, such as the tostone burger (a choice of chicken or steak burger between two crispy plantain discs instead of bread buns). And the cocktails, from the La Cubanita Espresso Martini to los mojitos, that use natural tropical fruit juices like guanabana (soursop), maracuya (passion fruit), and coconut are great for kicking off any celebration." - Didi Paterno

Had a great experience at Cuba Bella Cafe with family to celebrate my birthday. I chose this restaurant because we had been before and enjoyed the food so much. I’ve been wanting to return. It did not disappoint! All of our meals were delicious and huge portions!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They knew it was my birthday and celebrated with us with a desert and music. It was a great evening and we highly recommend!

Great food, immaculate vibe! Everyone was warm and welcoming and treated us like family. The menu was reasonably priced, and the cuban sandwich reminded me of my time spent in Florida. The arroz con pollo was delicious, the plantains were perfect, both sweet and tender, and the portions were huge! And don't get me started on the coffee.. so good! Worth the hour drive from Mansfield! Will definitely be back!

Bistec de Puerco y cafe cubano siempre. Whether you’re an islander or a white boy like me, you will be coming back for more. This is my go-to spot for a nice dinner with the wife or a cafe to get me going during the day. Thank you to the staff for doing a wonderful job.

Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we dug into the appetizers, every bite was a delight. The main course was equally mouthwatering, and don’t even get me started on the Cuban coffee—pure bliss! The atmosphere is vibrant, with music that perfectly complements the experience. Plus, the decor is charming, featuring a stunning mural of Cuba that adds to the whole vibe. A must-visit!

Our party of five had an absolutely delightful experience at this gem of a restaurant! As someone from Puerto Rico, I was instantly transported back home by the incredible Caribbean flavors. Every dish resonated with authentic taste and care. We started with the yuca frita and masita de cerdo, and both appetizers were simply amazing – perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I ventured to try the cubano chino, and wow! This Cuban-style Chinese rice was a revelation. The combination of flavors was unique and utterly delicious. My companions raved about their dishes as well. The roasted pork and pork chops were reportedly juicy and incredibly flavorful, the bistec encebollado was also a hit, and the fish filet was noted for being wonderfully flaky and soft. The sides were equally impressive. The tostones were perfectly crisp, the arroz congri was rich and satisfying, the platanos maduros offered that wonderful sweetness, and the frijoles negros were hearty and well-seasoned. And then came the desserts... oh my goodness! They were truly to die for. It turns out our wonderful server is also the talented baker behind these treats. The tres leches was heavenly, and the guava bizcocho cubano was simply incredible. I was so impressed that I actually asked for her number to order a cake for my upcoming birthday! We also had the pleasure of meeting the new owner Luis, who has been at the helm for just 13 days. It was heartwarming to learn that he was previously a cook at the restaurant and has now taken ownership. You can truly taste the passion he puts into his cooking – it's evident he cooks with his heart. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about the food she served. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Cuban food. The new owner is doing an amazing job, and I wish him all the success in the world. We will definitely be back!

Tried a Cuban restaurant for the first time and loved it! The restaurant is very clean and the workers are welcoming. Loved the music that was playing while waiting on my order. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. Ordered the bistec encebollado and it reminded me of how a home cooked meal should taste like. The seasoned rice was my favorite of the entire meal. Definitely will be back to try more on the menu. 10/10 :-)

Great food! The carne asada was cooked the way I ordered and it was very flavorful. The black beans by far are the best I have tasted in N Dallas. I ordered the Guanabana aka Soursop fruit drink and it was sweet and delicious. I will try the passion fruit next time. The atmosphere was very inviting. Everyone is so nice!
