Here Are All the Michelin Starred Restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area | Eater SF

"Cyrus saw a triumphant return in September 2022 after closing for 10 years, with chef Douglas Keane overseeing an ambitious menu that moves diners through a 20-course meal in various rooms of the restaurant, including one room with a chocolate waterfall. Nick Peyton, the maître d’ and owner of Cyrus, took home the Michelin Service Award in 2025. (1 star)" - Eater Staff

Nick Peyton of Cyrus is The MICHELIN Guide California 2025 Service Award Winner

"In Sonoma County, California, I experienced an antidote to traditional snooty fine dining at Cyrus, where maître d' and owner Nick Peyton and Chef Douglas Keane present a One-MICHELIN-Star tasting menu. An evening is modeled like a dinner party: guests are led through rooms by a welcoming host and even encouraged to nibble in the kitchen. The service is formal and precise in its mechanics but disarmingly warm and unpretentious — we were treated to a friendly, relaxed interchange rather than pomposity. Peyton, who recalls the imperious maître d's of the 1970s, has shaped a hospitality approach that earned Cyrus this year’s MICHELIN Guide California Service Award, and every meal is theatrically capped by an eight-foot chocolate fountain." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Celebrated Wine Country chef Douglas Keane has returned to the fore with his re-launch of Cyrus in Geyserville. Set among rolling vineyards, the dining rooms are housed in a coolly modern concrete and glass lair that offers a striking contrast to the verdant surroundings—an old-growth plum tree in the courtyard is a nod to their past as the Sunsweet prune packing facility.Dinner is an ebullient experience that progresses from canapes and Champagne in the lounge, to small bites in the kitchen, substantial compositions in the dining room and a sweet finish in the Chocolate room. Farm-fresh crudité to be dipped in umeboshi emulsion; Sonoma duck with turnips and hoisin; and black sesame financier with shaved plums are just a few examples of the impressive, globally accented cuisine." - Michelin Inspector
