This cozy Lincoln Park gem serves up crave-worthy dim sum all day, featuring must-try pork and egg yolk buns, all in a vibrant setting.
"Like that elusive sock that disappeared last laundry day, finding dim sum outside of Chinatown can be tricky. But luckily for Lincoln Park (and unlike that pesky sock), we’ve found D Cuisine. The bright dining room is deceptively spacious, perfect for a casual group dinner or solo lunch to break up the monotony of your three-week-long bologna sandwich streak. D Cuisine keeps their dim sum menu compact at just 30 dishes, with options like juicy siu mai and fluffy steamed buns filled with a molten, egg custard that will definitely burn your tongue. But, waiting for them to cool requires the patience of a saint, and you’re probably not being canonized anytime soon." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"This charming Chinese restaurant near Clark and Broadway has a wonderful lineup of dim sum specials — some of the best away from Chinatown. The morning hours make this an attractive option for weekend brunch, as dim sum is properly enjoyed before noon." - Ashok Selvam
"This Lincoln Park dim sum restaurant is a North Side favorite with legit food as their chef comes from Hong Kong. Their dim sum menu is available all day for anyone wanting dim sum for dinner (atypically found at most places; dim sum is mainly a morning or afternoon meal). They have excellent steamed pork riblets. I’ve had dim sum in the morning and headed back for dinner in the evening on the same day. It was worth it." - Karen Lee
"The North Side is a relative desert for dim sum but this Lincoln Park space gives Chicagoans a reason to venture beyond Chinatown for their fill of buns and dumplings. D Cuisine makes its dim sum in-house and offers a full lineup all day long. Munch on classics like siu mai, chicken feet, and congee or go with the Guangzhou-style roasted chicken for an impeccable large course. D Cuisine accepts online orders." - Ashok Selvam, Eater Staff
"This BYOB Chinese restaurant in Lincoln Park serves dim sum all day, every day. And while D Cuisine has a limited selection compared to other dim sum spots in the city, what they do have is delicious. You’ll find excellent pork buns, creamy steamed egg buns, shrimp dumplings, and sesame balls that are crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy inside. They might not have large circular tables that seat a whole family reunion like some other banquet hall dim sum spots, but it’s great for small groups." - adrian kane, john ringor
