We did not stay there. We went for dinner. The staff was wonderful! The atmosphere is very nice. Some of the best bathrooms on the LBI. My first batch of muscles were amazing second batch no good. The salmon was delicious but it was the only thing on the plate that was warm. Potatoes and sauces were all cool like they had been sitting waiting for the salmon. Also, it's like we got gluten contaminated probably by the cream sauce with the salmon.

Just had a quick winter stay at Daddy O. It was just what we were looking for. Nice rooms. Great GM and Front Desk and wait staff. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly. Will be back for the awesome food and cocktails. Janet O

My MIL threw us an incredible dinner & welcome drink party here! It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend. We had our own private room in the back, they help with decor set up and worked with us on how to set up the room and the tables. The food was delicious, everyone was raving about the steak - add it to your package 100%. The staff was so sweet!! Anything we needed, they were more than happy to help with. After dinner with family and bridal party, we opened the room up to any additional friends and family that came for the weekend for 2.5 hours of drinks. It was a perfect space and held comfortably about 80 people (I think). Definitely recommend looking into them for rehearsal dinner if you’re getting married in the LBI area! Excited to come back and dine!

We've been here several times but it's our 1st time staying here. The atmosphere is great and the rooms were very nice. The entire staff starting at the reception desk was fantastic. We loved the rooftop bar for end of night Martini. We had several different employees over our four nights and they were all fantastic and friendly. Sushi and drinks were fantastic. Special shout out to Sam we had her earlier this year downstairs and she was great both times.

We rented the outdoor patio area for our 40 person wedding reception and can’t recommend Daddy O enough. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, everything was 10/10. The bartenders were great and the food was delicious. All of the staff were so kind and helpful, always checking in on our guests or clearing empty plates. Thank you Daddy O for a night we’ll never forget!

My girlfriend and I had such a pleasant experience staying at DaddyO hotel in September 2024. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The hotel was incredibly clean and loved the amenities. The location to the beach was so convenient and so was the parking lot across the hotel. We loved the 50's beach decor and all the spaces to hang out. Rooftop bar, rum bar and inside bar were all great!! We are considering staying there once a year, probably September because it's less busy. Looking forward to another stay!!

Just on a short vacation, did not stay in hotel, definitely will next time. But did eat there twice. Besides fantastic food, the kind to die for. John, Frederick, Jill and Kenyon, made the meal something special. Good food, is good food, but people, make the meal something to remember. Those four did, big time!

Cannot say enough good things about this place! We booked the outdoor area for an event over the weekend and they were extremely accommodating. The space is beautiful, the food was incredible, and the drinks were strong. The staff is so pleasant! I will forever be appreciative

After several years of going to LBI we must've passed this place every single time and paid no mind to it. We happened to be arriving later one off peak evening so we stopped in. So happy we did. The place is huge and the quality of food is probably better than most spots on the island. Very nice ambiance as well. They have a kids menu (which wasn't available on the website). Their drinks are on the stronger side. Seasonal cocktails are their specialties! I had the BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH - pickle brined, kimchi mayo, shaved romaine, house pickles, brioche roll. It was a bit over dressed with the mayo and messy but delicious nonetheless. Wife had - VERLASSO SALMON -creamer potatoes, watercress & citrus salad, pesto, port reduction which she thoroughly enjoyed. Their prices are on the higher end. Service was great and friendly. Plenty of parking nearby (large lot). ENJOY!

Let's start by saving that the service here is great. If you're looking for a nice rooftop by the beach with some street views, this is a place to go. it's not very large and get very busy so I would recommend going early on weekends or holidays. The food was good! Being its location it can be quite pricey for food and drinks, but it is a great time

Must visit for LBI, very average kids food but adult food was great! Very nice Ambiance and looks great, that includes the bathroom, trust me I've been in some bad bathrooms. Great service, my server Colten was very friendly!

Daddy's Os was a good experience. The pasta with marinara was very average. The service was again just average. But I don't blame them because it was the offseason. The decorations were not good at all. Just a couple of plates. But the bathroom is very modern and beautiful. So just an average experiment.

Went there for brunch and it far exceeded my expectations. The mimosa kit was delicious (although they say it's for five people when really it's probably for three). Chicken and waffles were fantastic....maybe the best waffles I've ever had. They had a sugary crust baked into them which balanced well with the saltiness of the chicken and collard greens. Yes, they served it with collard greens, which really worked. The restaurant ambience is perfect for the beach and the service was friendly. I will for sure be back.

Came here last night and asked for a seat at the bar. I love the roof top patio here. We weren't sure if we were just having a drink or getting something to eat. We ended up staying for dinner and we weren't disappointed. The beef short rib was really good. I was not expecting it to come on a bed of pasta though. Probably should add that to their description. Definitely a $$$ type place. Inside is gorgeous and you can totally have a romantic night here with your significant other

Love the options on the menu! The soup was amazing! Honestly though Buffalo Wingless was cauliflower- needed a little bit more blue cheese The salads were yummy- love how big the portions were!! French onion gnocchis weren't the best- the pasta was way too mushy and the taste wasn't there for me. Lots of drinks options- good price and were strong!! Service was decent. Had a lovely view from the rooftop! Would come back to try more!

Rooftop service was wonderful! Bartender made sure our drinks were perfect. The food was tasty and enjoyable. Views of the streets below added a nice touch. Nice way to spend an afternoon!

Thankful for a fine News Years Eve experience. We didn't want hoopla and noise so an early dinner was a great choice. The evening's menu had a little of everything and there were specials, including a champagne cocktail. Kudos to Daddy'O for not subjecting guests to an over priced prix fix menu like other establishments. Our waitress Ashley was on point!

Lunch time at the Jersey shore and a cloudy day with occasional showers so out to lunch and spotted this place driving down the Blvd. This restaurant is attached to a hotel and upon arrival at 12:00 the place was empty so we were seated promptly. Looking for a Light meal and kicked it off with calamari, golden crisp, not greasy or chewy with a couple sauces. Next up was a ribeye cheesesteak sandwich that really had thinly sliced steak, provolone and crispy onion. The the sandwich was so big I could only eat half and ignored the fries that were also crispy and very tasty, not oily. Had a couple more meals, a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Pecan Crusted Goat Cheese & Local Beet salad and feedback was very positive. Service was great, staff friendly and the place was clean and well maintained.

Daddy-Os was my favorite restaurant on the island for years. It was my Dad and I's spot. We'd go to the rooftop bar get two paloma's, the spicy tuna tacos, mango tango sushi, and the scallops. It was the best food and the best service. Sadly that is no longer the case. My family and I went to Daddy-Os this week on a week night and waited 20 to 30 min for the second half of our tables' meal. When the other meals arrived they were overcooked. They also swapped out the risotto bed with the scallops with burnt carrots and baby corn. It was not good at all. My sisters marg tasted like it was doused with spoonfuls of sugar. The waitress was so kind and apologetic but I had to write a review bc of how disappointing it all was.

We've been vacationing on LBI for a really long time and have wanted to try Daddy-Os for a while. Well, this was the year and it did NOT disappoint. We made a reservation just to make sure we got a table and we were lucky we did because by the time our drinks came there wasn't a table left in the place. Our server got to us right away and had our drinks to us (Perfect Manhattan, Raspberry Crush, Shirley Temple, and a Cucumber Cooler) as we were ready to order. Drinks were a little pricey, but it's LBI so it's expected. I ordered the Butchers cut 8oz filet and the 44 roll - shrimp tempura roll topped with salmon avocado and eel sauce and finished with an Irish Coffee. Wifey also had a 44 Roll and a Chopped salad. My son ordered a Spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll and applewood bacon risotto...finishing with a Decaf espresso. Finally, my daughter had the Gulf Shrimp & Gemelli Pasta. There are lots of great places to eat on LBI, and we've found a lot of them, but if you have a chance you have to hit Daddy-Os. The food, the service and the ambiance are worth the prices

An all around great place where you can sit and talk and enjoy the music as well. Food is good and changes with the season off-season is my best time here when its more quiet and intimate. The attention to detail and service doesn't change, and is always great.

This restaurants gets three stars for the beautiful atmosphere on the rooftop bar and friendly service. Unfortunately that is where the good review stops. The drinks were watered down and not flavorful at all especially for $15.00 per drink. Stick to beer or straight up alcohol. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer that were supposed to come with a cheese sauce. The cheese curds were delicious but mistakenly came with tartar sauce which did not pair well. We ordered a Caesar salad which consisted of brown bagged lettuce with spongy croutons , roasted peppers and barely any dressing. We also got shrimp tacos that were supposed to come with fresh avocado which was missing but weirdly had yellow mustard on the taco. The bacon fig grilled cheese was flavorful and delicious and the burger was flavorful. For the price , the meals and drinks were definitely not worth it. In addition we were charged a service fee for a credit card even though we paid in cash. We pointed out the mistake to our server who corrected the receipt but you can't help wonder how many others are charged this fee and do not notice. This is a one and done for me

I come here specifically for the spicy tuna tacos. They are a slam dunk every time. Outside is nice during the summer but it can get a little busy (like every other place around here)

excellent spot for an intimate, higher end dinner when visiting the LBI area. they have a variety of dishes from handhelds to entrees. the seafood specifically is great quality and superior. our table ordered the muscles, bang bang shrimp, chicken milanese, short rib pasta, shrimp tacos, and steak noodle dish. all exceptional! one of the best bang bang shrimp appetizer I ever had. the service was also excellent and attentive. will be going back in the summer time to enjoy the rooftop bar

I've been here a few times but this is my first time sitting in the dining room. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience! The service was speedy and friendly which is often surprising for a Saturday night! Our cocktails were great! They have blue cheese stuffed olives too! Unfortunately they did not have a good wine list - by the glass or by the bottle. We started with the tuna tacos, truffle fries, toast of the day, lobster bisque, and the LBI sushi roll. We loved the tuna tacos - they came in a wonton shell and it was so crunchy! We also loved the LBI roll - tasted very fresh! We did not enjoy the toast of the day or the lobster bisque. For meals, we had the shrimp tacos, scallops, and the ribeye cheesesteak. These were the best scallops I have ever had - cooked perfectly and extremely fresh! Scallops are typically over cooked and too fishy, even at high end restaurants. The risotto that came with the scallops didn't have much flavor. As for there ribeye cheesesteak, it was tied with the scallops as our favorite item! The meat was cooked well, the truffle Mayo was flavorful and the bread was the perfect texture! Would definitely go back!

Wow ! The food, ambiance, waitstaff , bartenders so nice! Local fish and the best desserts!

We frequent Daddy O a few times per month. While the food is always good there was a HUGE difference in portion size. Their $16 arugula salad was half the size as it use to be and no goat cheese. Their soup for $15 while served in a big disc bowl for show was way overpriced for what you get. Just another restaurant now trying not to raise prices but instead making extra profit by providing less. Steve LBI

What a gem! Stopped here for lunch with a friend. Had a nice little lunch menu. We both got the shrimp tacos and had soup with them (it was a cold December day). The potato and leek soup was so good and thanks to the bartender for suggesting we add bacon on top, it took it to the next level! The tacos were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the service was fantastic. Will definitely make this a regular stop.

I've been to Daddy O a few times and have never had a bad experience. But this time in particular was my favorite! It was busy since it was the end of the season. We sat in the outdoor patio section which was really cute. For appetizers we got the crab dip and a sushi special. Crab dip was delicious and perfect amount! And the sushi special was very good. It does only come with 4 pieces though. My boyfriend isn't a big sushi person and he said this is his all time favorite sushi he's ever had. For entrees I got the spicy tuna tacos because it was highly recommended which lived up to the hype! I also got a side of the bacon risotto which was good. My boyfriend got the ribeye cheesesteak and omgg that was to die for!! It melted in our mouths!! My boyfriend says this was his favorite meal of the summer!! And I also really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the staff was so nice! Definitely give Daddy O a try if you're in LBI!

We always come here in the off-season, typically on a Saturday - early afternoon. The bar is HUGE (and the chairs are actually quite comfy)... the restaurant is large itself, with tables grouped in little "rooms" (quite cute!). Whenever we come here, we sit at the bar - you can never go wrong with that! The bartenders are always friendly and helpful, and offer suggestions to the menu. You can't go wrong with the Spicy Tuna Tacos or the Blistered Shishito Peppers ... and the French Onion Gnocchi is what dreams are made of - absolutely delicious!! The ONLY gripe I have, is that the menu hasn't changed in a long time (exact same menu from a year ago - at the very least). Keep the favorites, but switch it up!!

We came on Thanksgiving weekend& surprisingly got seated right away. They were very nice.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. I only wish there were more dairy free options. The service was great.

Super cute rooftop with a great vibe. That's where everything positive ends. The service was awful. It took us asking for water 4 times before we finally got and because they didn't come by much that was quite a while after we sat. The drinks were also super slow. We actually asked for a bill thinking they forgot about us for a second round before they said they actually were making the drinks and then it still took another 10 minutes. After looking at the reviews we see that this place clearly doesn't consider customer service a priority as this happened in many of the previous reviews. This is something management really needs to check.

The service was excellent. We would have given it 5 stars, but we were disappointed with the beer and arugula salad. They changed chefs, so the goat cheese is a purée instead of a goat cheese ball. The rest of the food was excellent. The environment was so nice and peaceful. We would definitely go back again.

Vibes: modern, casual; fairly loud and family-friendly Tasting notes: - Big Daddy Roll: disappointed that it only came with four pieces; large fish to rice ratio; yellowtail taste is subtle, drizzle of eel and mayo sauces eliminates the need for soy sauce; jalapeño kick is an after thought on the tongue - Daddy O Burger: asked for and received a perfectly medium rare, juicy, moderately thick patty with a very nice char; appreciated tang from sauce; fries were regular cut and fluffy, though some were not crispy - Thai Steak and Noodle Salad: filet tips were somewhat tender and easy to cut with a knife since they weren't quite bite-sized; noodles picked up sweet-salty sauce well; macadamia nuts added more so to texture; scoop of fresh avocado was appreciated though did not fit well into the dish; pricey dish but it was a satisfying portion Other notes: - Took 30 minutes for main entrees to come out - Friendly service - Had a sip of my SO's Coco-Jito, a fun twist on the classic mojito, very coco-nutty and strong! Just want to say the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata salad with beef tips was one of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. So fresh and flavorful. The heirloom Jersey tomatoes were incredible. It's been a week and I'm still thinking about that dish! I split the pork belly sliders with my husband - also very good. Service was friendly, from hostess to server to bus person. It was a bit loud in the dining room, but the decor and lighting is nice. One of the better places I've dined while in LBI.

Great location only a block or two from the beach. Hotel is older but remodeled inside. Some issues with the age like the floor being uneven leaving a big gap above our room door. Felt a bit uncomfortable. Some water damage from AC unit. Service was excellent very nice restaurant- we had several good meals there. Parking across the street. Since the hotel is on a main road it could be loud at times. Our room was over the live music in bar so we had to wait for that to end to relax in the room at night.

Food Allergies Welcomed! We are a family with food allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and shellfish. This place and their staff were excellent, they worked with the chef to ensure our food was safe. They could accommodate several items on the menu which were all very good. The best items were the chicken sandwich, the pasta short rib, French onion gnocchi, the chopped salad with either salmon or steak tips. At one point, the waited was not sure if a meal was prepared properly, so he had it sent back and replaced. Ask to sit at a booth, ask for Ryan as a server - he was great with the food allergies.

went to LBI for a weekend getaway and booked a brunch reservation at Daddy Os yesterday. Google had 10 AM as the opening time so we booked a 10:45 reservation. Got there at 10:30 - a few early but figured we would wait or have a brunch drink. The doors were locked at 10:30. I called the number and a young lady told me they opened at 11:30 - not 10am. Left a google review because we were annoyed and opted to go somewhere else. The owner then proceeded to call me to argue about my review Google review and said they were definitely open at 10:30. Very unprofessional We watched the owner open up the restaurant and put up the flags at approximately 10:40. in the few hours since the call they have updated their hours on google‍

Stopped in a for a quick lunch at the bar on a sunny winter Saturday. It was pretty quiet when we got there, but lots of people came in after us, and the bar filled up. The one bartender on duty was great, if a little harried. The service was good, the drinks were delicious, and the apps we split were pretty good, too. We split the fried cheese curds, which were delicious, but a touch too salty, not that stopped me from finishing them. I also had the spicy shrimp tacos, and he had fried calamari. Both were delicious. Food runners meant everything came out hot and fresh, which was really nice The dining room looked very nice, and we do expect to be back one of these days for dinner, but will definitely pop in for a bar lunch again.

AWESOME service from Alexa or Alesia ( cant remember name) bartender on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 it was pouring rain and we had a long and stressful day including finding a place open. Our bartender was the nicest and sweetest personality. She really lifted our spirits. Very attentive and it showed she really loved her job. Customer service 100 stars!!!!! We would definitely be back based on her alone! Daddy O she is the best! Keep that girl!!!!

So many good things to say about this place. Our server Leia was the absolute best, she had such a sweet and caring personality. She was so helpful when ordering drinks and food as well! Loved her

We love the shrimp tacos. The staff is nice. They have great music also. Drinks are pricey but they are all over so there's that.

Been wanting to come here for sometime now and glad I did. Stayed overnight at the hotel for our anniversary so a dinner at the restaurant was a must. Was rainy and dreary outside but inside this place was happening! Service was on point and very accommodating. Started with the cheese curds and French onion gnocchi. Both are highly recommended. The burger was also a standout. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Drinks at the bar afterwards made for a nice end to the evening. Will be back for sure.

It has been a while since our last trip to Daddy O's and it will be our last. The meal was one of the worst ever. The Steak and noodle salad was supposed to be a filet but it clearly wasn't and was very tough. The greens were smothered in a salad dressing that had a strange taste. My son-in-law and I couldn't eat more than a couple of mouthfuls leaving about a half pound of the greens. My sons $64 Surf and Turf had the same tough "filet" although he said the scallops were OK. My wife's flounder tasted like it was frozen a couple of times and was on its way out. Actually it had very little taste. Disgraceful, for what they charge you should expect fresh fish. No bread or rolls of any kind were served before the main course. Much of the appetizers were left uneaten and entrees had more than half left on the plate. The server did ask if we wanted to take them home and we politely declined, although at no time did the server ask if something was wrong since so much of the food was left. In fact half of the pizza for the kids was left and that usually never happens. It looked like sauce on cardboard. Oh, and $7 for a 12 ounce can of Miller light. NO draught beer or bottle beer at all. I rarely leave a review and I can count on one hand negative reviews giving the restaurant the benefit of doubt since things can go wrong. There was so much wrong here that it's clear to me that Daddy O's should be renamed Daddy NO's. Now I know why there were so many empty tables and we were able to get a reservation.

This is by far one of our favorite places on LBI. The ambiance, the lighting... just LOVE everything about it. Was in yesterday yet again for one of their AWESOME happy hours. Can't say enough about the level of service at the bar from Kat, Gabby and all the rest, whether running food or cleaning up they are attentive!!!!!!!

Ate here last year, food and service were great. One year later, last night. Terrible! Our server didn't even want to be there, was dejected at every table In our section. Food, looked and tasted like it was prepared and reheated under heat lamps. Was it just a bad night? Possibly but you should be as on point as you can during high season.

First time trying the restaurant for lunch after many visits over the years to LBI, and we know now what we've been missing! Husband and I had calamari and smoked salmon avocado toast for starters - both fantastic. For entrées, he has seafood salad, and I had beet salad with goat cheese, which I loved; it's better than the seafood salad. Then I overheard the next table raving about the gumbo, which was their soup of the day, so our server gave us a sample. And wow, it was the best gumbo I've had in a long time. I ordered a cup to go! The only reason I'm taking away one star is the music. It was bad hotel lounge music that took away from the ambience. We would have preferred 70s/80s rock (Queen, Journey, Beatles, Sting, Led Zeppelin, Dire Strait, Fleetwood Mac, etc.). Bring back the classics! And keep up the great food - kudos to the chef.

Came here with a group of friends and this place is massive!! Indoor dining, indoor bar, patio outside and a rooftop. So many places to wait and enjoy the fun cocktails until you get seated. Would highly recommend reservations beforehand. The views from the rooftop during sunset are stunning!! The food was amazing - we got the Brussels sprouts flatbread and cheese curds for apps. Got the salmon and steak and shrimp scampi for dinner and every dish was absolutely fantastic!

Well here is another restaurant that charges for bread...$4...and if you use a credit card you get hit with another charge. At $244 for the meal this is really taking advantage of the customer. Will not be back to this rip off place.
