The chicken is absolutely delicious! I haven’t had such a nice KFC for a long time not even in HK. The chicken is very tender and juicy inside while crispy with the skins and layers outside

Amazing food and good atmosphere with place being busy most of the time. Might have to wait for a table now and then anyhow well worth it. Struggled to finish the meal as portions are quite large, just had to carry on as would have been a shame to waste such good food!

One of the best Korean food I have eaten anywhere (including Seoul) and very modest price consider it's London. Everything we order was delicious - the fried chicken, pancake, tofu soup etc. My only complaint is the staff was very pushy in trying to get our table back when we haven't even finished our food yet :(

Really good Korean fried chicken. They're deboned, so the portions are huge. Ordering the half-and-half on my own (especially on top of the seafood pancake) was a mistake. I bagged half of it for take out, ordering that much was definitely enough for 2.5 people. I went for the Yang Nyeum and sweet cheese powder. The former is better, but the latter isn't bad. Came at an 4pm on a Saturday so there was no queue. They also don't take reservations past 6pm. Really kind service.

Ordered the veggie set menu for £24. Really amazing and service was spot on. It came with a miso soup, veggie dumplings, a pumpkin croquette and a tofu or vegetable bibimbap. Highly recommend!

Daebak – A Fun Spot for Soju and Korean Bites Near Vauxhall Daebak is a great little restaurant if you’re near Vauxhall and in the mood for Korean food and soju. The vibe is casual and lively—perfect for sharing dishes and drinks with friends. Starters We tried the Spinach Namul and Beansprouts Namul. Both were flavourful and nicely seasoned, though a touch too salty for my taste. Mains Pa Dak (Spring Onion Fried Chicken) The fried chicken was perfectly crispy without feeling too greasy, and the spring onion topping added a refreshing bite. Great texture and balance—especially with a shot of soju on the side! Bibimbap with Soy Chicken & Egg This came with a generous portion—definitely enough to share. The soy chicken was well-marinated, and the bibimbap arrived with a side of miso soup. Overall tasty, but again, a bit on the salty side. Final Thoughts Daebak is a solid choice if you're looking to drink soju and enjoy some Korean comfort food to go with it. If you're visiting just for the food and not drinking, some dishes might come across a bit salty. But if you’re pairing it with drinks and good company—it hits the spot.

This was a recommendation from a friend and it was excellent 👌 their fried chicken is amazing, would recommend 👌 oh and their beer is very good too

Not bad. More a 3.5 out of 4 but certainly recommended over quite a few other Korean restaurants in London. This is fairly no-frills casual place which you can probably infer from the focus on KFC. It's nice enough to sit down for a meal but don't expect to feel the desire to hang out too long. The tastes were definitely a mixed bag. The fried chicken was very good and definitely the most authentic I've had in the city so far. Kimchi jigae was not bad and will definitely give you your fix of the classic staple. However, bugolgi dumplings were clearly store-bought and tasted like they'd been in the freezer for ages - skip these because they're really weird. Fairly inexpensive. Try it if you're in the area.

Great food and service ! Always go back and if you never been you better go ! I would suggest calling ahead for a table it's small so get in there soon

Accommodating for walk-ins and friendly staff. Korean Fried Chicken was good - recommend the Yang Nyeum flavour. One thing to note is that rice is not included with some dishes Vs other restaurants. If you're in town and fancy Korean this will fill a gap, and is a nice place to eat for dinner!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was seriously blown away by how delicious everything was. We shared a spicy chicken ramen and KFC with Soy. The broth and spicy chicken were amazing in the ramen, I prefer to having a gooey egg in the ramen so rating 4 stars overall. The KFC was beyond delicious and would go back just for that. I am glad we got a medium size so we had left overs to take with.

This may or may not be the best Korea food I've had in London thus far! Daebak is located in Vauxhall which is not one of the places you would expect to have great food like this but this place is truly fantastic. Came for an early weekday night and the place soon became packed after we sat down. - Seafood Pajeon - This was probably the best seafood pancake I've had in a long time, I was honestly surprised at how good it was as it is pretty comparable to the ones I've had in Korea. The pancake itself was crispy on the outside doughy on the inside and it went extremely well with the slightly tangy sauce. Definitely don't sleep on this dish. - Bibimbap (Beef & Egg) - Was surprised that they gave out an accompanying miso soup with this dish but it makes sense as the bibimbap itself was on the dryer side. They didn't put any of the gochujang sauce in it, so I originally was a bit worried that there wouldn't be any flavor in this dish, but I was sorely mistaken as the dish was absolutely fantastic and even had the charred rice on the bottom. - Kimchi Jjigae - Probably my least favorite one out of the three that we ordered but still pretty good. They didn't give a ton of tofu with it which was kind of disappointing, but the flavor of the dish itself, the rich kimchi flavor, was spot on so I didn't mind so much. Overall, very solid Korean food. I'm still a bit disappointed in general that they don't give our banchans here, but the food is not bad at all and the price is very reasonable. Of course it can't be compared to the food in Bay Area and what not, but this place is truly fantastic for London and I can't wait to come back again.

Pretty great Korean food in London! My friend and I were craving Korean food after a week full of bread and fish and chips and we were so happy to stumble upon this place. We both had the buddae chiggae and were pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. We are both Korean and thought that it was pretty good! The broth had a good tang to it and it came with a bowl of rice. I wish it had more of all the fixings in it, but overall, I was satisfied at the end of my meal. In addition, the staff was very kind and the food was very well priced. I would definitely come back to subside my Korean craving!

I went back to eat inside and it was good. I had a beef Bibimbap which I liked with also some Pa Dak Chicken (fried chicken with honey mustard sauce) which was good and quite a generous quantity for the price. The Miso soup that you get to start with was also really good!

Great food. Best KFC in town. Fast and friendly service. Never disappointed when in London.

Average to below average Korean food. Not worth it if you're looking to satisfy your craving for Korean cuisine.

I first heard of Daebak when I deliveroo-ed. Their Fried chicken was yummy juicy and mouth watering. Being a stroll away from home, I did make a trip down twice since. Both times, I am greeted with a smile. Food's reasonably priced. Although you don't get served by a Korean, the staff that works there are all helpful and welcoming. What I appreciate about this place.... when you order a bibimbap, it comes in the traditional hot stone and an egg on top. These days, most Korean restaurants will charge you an additional quid to have an egg on top. Honestly, I'm baffled by how some businesses want to make a quick buck these days charging bits and bobs of what shouldn't be charged at all. I hope this place wont turn out that way but continues to serve a bibimbap the way it truly is. Their pajeon (seafood pancake), its a generous portion that can be shared amongst 3 or 4 people if you're ordering that as a starter. Or it can be a main meal by itself. If you're looking for some good Korean fried chicken, this is the place to be at. If you are planning to order a large portion, prepare your bellys or have a group to be with. It's a truly very generous portion and you'll be so stuffed when you walk out. Don't forget to have some soju alongside or some Hite beer the way all Koreans enjoy their fried chicken :-) Keep up the wonderful food portion, food quality and service with a smile, Daebak! My friend and I ordered quite a bit of food. I found that the food was very reasonably priced, the portion sizes were good and I wasn't unhappy about it at all. I ordered a spicy chicken bento however my chicken wasn't hot, it was only lukewarm and wasn't spicy at all. My friend had the chicken dumpling soup which she soon regretted after because she found that it was a little thin, and didn't really have much flavour. After trying some of it, I agreed. Our food could've had more flavour, and my dish should've been hot. We also ordered tteokbokki on the side and the original fried chicken. The tteokbokki was good, and the fried chicken was alright. It was nice and crispy, but I think maybe a tad bit too crispy as it was sometimes difficult to bite and chew. The flavour was nice, but could've been better. The service was really nice which we appreciated, and overall I think the food was good. However, it just wasn't amazing. I'd definitely come back to this place if I was in the area to give it another shot, but if I'm craving Korean food, I think I'll try find another place.

As Korean, I think I'm allowed to say that this place is pretty darn good. I've ordered here via Deliveroo on multiple occasion, and I keep going back! Their food is super flavourful and tasty -- just like how they would taste in Korea. I typically went for the budae jjigae (stew) and bibimbap, but their yangnyum chicken (Korean fried chicken) and other items were also fantastic. I would love to try all their dishes. The menu is varied and absolutely covers all the representative Korean dishes. Can't comment on service or ambience, as I have yet to visit in person. Suffice it to say, I can't wait to try it out and personally compliment the chef!

Of all the Korean Restaurants in London, this is the best so far! Kimchi rice is a must try with their korean fried chicken! This is one of my absolute favourite! Great value for money and the food is authentic korean cooking! I always go back here for comfort food. I will give them double the stars if possible.

I ordered three dishes for 2 people, we had to take away some kimchijeon because we were very full. I am Korean who was satisfied all food and my friend is Chinese who was satisfied too! She said She definetly try again with her friend:) It is not too expensive. Thank you for good dinner!

We came here at around 7 in the evening on a weekday and there were a lot of people which I took as a good sign. The service was quick. Their fried chicken is also good. We ordered the Kimchi rice. It was our first time to try this dish and we enjoyed it. We are definitely coming back for it. The prices are reasonable.

We had lunch there twice in three days. They have good Korean food and the prices are right. We also like their service. The servers are quick and polite. We will probably go back again.

I can only agree with flaming review below - Daebak is definitely one of the best korean restaurants I've been to and that's coming from a Korean native who grew up with grandma's Hanssik cooking and rarely goes for Korean food in restaurants since the original at home is usually the best. My parents, my girlfriend and I went in for a quick lunch and were surprised by the authentic taste and superbly friendly and quick service. We had the fried Nyamyeom chicken (Sweet & spicy) which was super delicious, the seafood Udon noodles, which were perfectly cooked with very fresh clams and prawns and the raw beef/raw egg hot stone bibimbap, which was not the perfect choice for the hot weather, but didn't matter because it was pure umami heaven. The side order kimchi was at a very tasty age and seemed handmade, not store-bought. Bottom line: If you crave for good quality authentic Korean food for little money - Go to DAEBAK! You will not be disappointed. The food and service are indeed DAEBAK (Korean for outstanding)! ;)

Made to wait outside if no table available. No bench to sit on while waiting. They write your name down for the next free table. They sat down other people that came in after me and blamed the "new girl" for not knowing. Korean fried chicken was terrible and the rice in the bibimbap was hard. Wouldn't recommend.
