The 21 Best Korean Restaurants In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

Daesung Korean Noodle - Review - Murray Hill, Queens - New York - The Infatuation

"At Daesung Korean Noodle in Murray Hill, Queens, everyone’s eating soup. There are nearly 40 varieties, all served in great big bowls that fill the room with steam like the beginning of a broth-based facial. The three-generation families who crowd into the wooden booths all have their usual orders, like the simple, clean-tasting signature kalguksu or the bulgogi soondubu kalguksu with tofu so silky it quivers and sweet strands of beef tangled between chewy homemade noodles. Both are worthy of an order to accompany the sizzling personal-pizza-sized pajun packed with squid and bacon and the default banchan spread with notably crisp and cold kimchi. photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff Pause Unmute Daesung Korean Noodle doesn’t take reservations and there’s usually a wait on the weekends, but it moves quickly. Bring a group of the soup people in your life, put your name on the handwritten list at the front, and then pass the time stealing glances at other customers' bowls." - Willa Moore

The Best Chicken Noodle Soup in NYC | Eater NY

"Locals line up on weekends for Daesung’s soups loaded with either long, knife-sliced kalguksu or short, hand-torn sujebi noodles. Its chicken noodle soup comes dressed with shredded chicken, strands of eggs, and zucchini slices. It’s then paired with a bright, freshly made kimchi that’s cut tableside." - Caroline Shin

The noodles here are absolutely delicious! We always go for the kalguksu, and it never disappoints. The noodles are fresh, smooth, and have a perfect texture. This was our second visit, and the quality remained just as impressive. The portions for both the noodles and appetizers were generous. We had the bibim-guksu, bulgogi soondubu, fried dumplings, haemul pajeon, bulgogi soondubu kalguksu, and dweji bulgogi soondubu kalguksu—all were fantastic! Get the pancake it will not disappoint. Beyond the great food, the service was excellent. The restaurant is bright, spacious, and very clean, including the bathrooms. Just writing this review is making me crave more! Can’t wait to come back. PS - their banchan is limited but it's delicious!! kimchi, radishes and fish cake!

We stumbled upon this gem just being in the neighborhood and looking for food. I was amazed at how delicious everything was. We ordered a pancake which was probably one of the best seafood pancakes I've had. The noodles were just the right amount of chewy and the broth was flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Google
Bibim guksu is perfectly cooked and perfectly sweet and spicy. Haemul pajeon is so crispy and tasty with lots of seafood. I just loved all of their menu. The servers are kind and attentive. This will be on my list from now. Even though I am not so crazy about kalguksu.

March 11,2025: The food and service for today was outstanding. The ambience was good too. Was here before about 5 months ago and the food was great. This is a hidden gem in flushing. The price is reasonable compared to other Korean restaurants. Definitely if you are in the area drop by.

Google
This was the perfect Kalguksoo for this cold and windy day! Bajirak Kalguksoo’s soup was so good and the clams were very fresh 🙌 and my favorite was the Okonomiyaki pancake which is their signature dish 🤭 You have to try this when you come here! And the staff was very friendly 😉

Google
Amazing food and atmosphere. The staff are always so nice. Daesung has to be my favorite Korean spot in Queens.

Google
The seafood pancake is delicious and big portions. I could probably just order their pancakes, and I would be good. Their kimchi is some of the best I ever tasted, too. It's very fresh. Great noodles and restaurant

Google
best seafood pancake of my life, if you don’t get this you’ll regret it. the hand ripped noodles are amazing too! can’t wait to be back.

Yelp
My favorite place for noodle soup. Every dish exceeds my expectations everytime and their fresh kimchi is delicious!

Yelp
Cute Korean noodle place on 162nd St. It's a bit hard to find parking on this street, but it's easily accessible by Q27 and Q65. The place was also packed during dinner time. They are known for their house made noodles and you can choose texture and flavor. The two textures are long and wide. I prefer the long noodles which are very bouncy and not floury. The thickness is somewhere between that of spaghetti and Udon noodles. My boyfriend prefer the wide noodles which are flat noodles a bit wider and thicker than hor fun. As for the soup base/flavoring and toppings, there are a bunch to choose from. I got the seafood one which is very hearty and contains LOTS of clams, mussels and shrimp. My boyfriend got the soft tofu one which is more flavorful and the tofu is delicious. Be aware - the portions are humongous. Come hungry if you're planning to get a bowl for yourself. We didn't even get to try appetizers because we were so full. They do give banchans (cold dishes) before your entree comes such as kimchi and radish. And they provide HOT rice tea which is perfect for this cold weather. Will definitely come back to try more stuff!

Yelp
Came during lunch on a Saturday and they had a short line that moved quickly. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. The kalguksu was delicious. I got the short clam, soft tofu kalguksu and my friend got the bulgogi soft tofu sujebi. Both noodle types were delicious and chewy but personally I preferred the long noodles (kalguksu). The regular spicy level was not that spicy and I would go up another spice level next time. Environment was nice but it's a bit annoying to have to detour past the server station to get to the restroom. The side dish was kimchi and pickled radish. Both delicious. Overall: really delicious kalguksu, I would come again

Yelp
Super popular spot with lots of people but quick and friendly service, which made our dining experience that much better! By the time we got in there was a line of people and by the time we left, the restaurant still felt busy. Before we sat down, the server asked us to place any appetizers - would highly recommend the Seafood Pancake or Haemul Pajeon: super crispy with soft, chewy squid pieces and paired very nicely with their spicy soy sauce. They have various kalguksoo and sujebi options, even soondubu (soft tofu). Super hearty and hot with generous portions.

Yelp
Cuisine: 9 Service: 8 Decor: 7 Value: 9 Overall: 9 It's hard not to love this restaurant that's been serving Korean comfort food since 1983. My first visit was probably sometime back in the late 1990's at through an introduction from my Korean friends. I will always recall that first bite of their Pajun and Oko Pajun. It just hit differently. Imho, it's simply the best Korean pancakes anywhere. After all these years, I still come here whenever I crave one of their fabulous pancakes. The crispy bottom is always perfectly cooked. The ingredients are always easy to decipher and contributes to the overall deliciousness of the dish. My personal favorite is Seafood Pancake or Seafood Oko Pancake. They also serve some great Kalguksu (long noodle), which comes with some yummy broth like chicken, seafood, fishcake, or short neck clam. You can have them spicy or not. The noodles are smooth with a nice chew. Very enjoyable on a cold day. On my recent visit, we also had the Bibim Man Du (fried dumplings & veggies mixed with sweet & spicy sauce), which was an excellent starter. With that said, our Bulgogi Soondubu, though smooth and tender, lacked a bit of flavor. I will note that it may have been better if we had gotten it medium instead of mild to accommodate my dining group. Ultimately, I am here for the Pajun/Oko Pajun and the variety of Kalguksu. Therefore, my rating is based on those dishes more than anything else. I also feel that prices are fantastic because I always leave happily stuffed for a fraction of what I would spend elsewhere. I truly hope they are around for another forty years for me to enjoy.

Yelp
Great for cold winter days! Portions were huge and came with two banchan dishes. Seems to be packed during the weekends and Friday night so come early! Would go again.

Yelp
We finally came back to try the oyster pancake, let just say. Perfect, crispy, delicious, when it was delivered to the table, you can feel the heat from the cast iron plate. I tried the honey soy sauce and the spicy soy sauce, both sauces are great. In my opinion the sweet soy sauce enhances the natural level of salt of the oyster, just enough to pop that next level of umami on your palate. Definitely very good option, plus it helps that the oysters are not overcooked. Previous we ordered the seafood pancake which was also very good. Honestly i dont know any other Korean restaurant that cooks their pancakes like they do here! We also order a spicy seafood soup with the hime made noodles and a spicy beef soup. The soups are very good, the service is quick and attentive and the kitchen puts out food fast even when the restaurant is busy on Friday night, that's definitely a plus!

Yelp
Ive been here twice so far and its as delicious as the first time I came here. The kimchi they served was so good. It's not strong in vinegar like the ones you get at the store. Definitely recommend you to purchase a bag to go if you are a fan of the kimchi served here. I came on a Saturday around 12:45 and the wait was about 30 mins since it is lunch hour. Would recommend you to come earlier or after 2pm if you want a shorter wait. I got the clam thin noodle soup and it have so much clam. The seafood pancake is so crispy and contains a good amount of seafood. The fried dumpling is delicious, crispy on the outside and moist inside. I wish it's open on Sunday but it's all good.

Yelp
If you come here for their pancake, it's not the same as before. They don't add the bonito flakes anymore. The batter is also not as thick and fluffy as before so now it's more crunchy. They don't have enough people working the lunch rush was there was barely any service. The place is very clean still.

Yelp
Very cozy spot on a cold day. Their service was spot on and the waitresses are very friendly. The food was amazing. Everything exceeded our expectations and I'm definitely excited to come back to try all their options on their menu!

Yelp
I've already lost count of how many times I visited Daesung. If you ask for my favorite spot for korean food in NYC, Daesung is 10/10 all around. I am very obsessed with their seafood oko pajeon, bibim guksu (mixed cold noodles) and mandu. Come hungry or drag more people because the food portion is gigantic. *Steamed Mandu (찐 만두)** We tried their steamed and fried mandu, and I prefer the steamed ones. It is fully stuffed with minced pork, chives and glass noodles. It tastes divine by itself, or when you dip it into the vinegary soy sauce. *Seafood Oko Pancake (해물 오코 파전)*** Imagine it is a seafood pajeon meeting okonomiyaki. Served on a pan with bonito flakes, drizzles of mayonnaise and teriyaki sauces. Their pancake is a BIG BOY, so huge even if we share with a group of four. Each slice is heavily loaded with shrimps and squid. The crispy edges are delightful. *Fishcake Kalguksu (어묵 칼국수) My fam can't handle spice so they got a clear and non-spicy broth. The fishcakes absorbs the essence of the broth. They offer long or wide noodles. Both types are bouncy and chewy but we like the long noods a little bit more. *Soft Tofu Stew (순두부찌개) First time getting the tofu jigae and it was surprisingly good. You can pick from different spice levels and my fam went for the non-spicy stew. We loved the jiggly soft tofu. The hot stone pot kept the food hot throughout the meal.

Yelp
So glad that I finally found this place because I no longer have to trek all the way to Manhattan for delicious Korean food. I came here on a late afternoon on Saturday and still had to wait a bit, the Daesung was packed! Before getting seated, we placed our order and were greeted with a variety of banchan once we were at our table. We started off with the seafood pancake and loved how light the dough was and how much seafood was included. I ordered the tofu noodle soup at the very mild level and it was packing with flavor. This is definitely a restaurant where you need to come hungry because the bowls are huge. The service was great as they were super friendly but efficient, making sure everyone can be seated promptly. The restaurant was a pretty good size and was very modern. I will definitely return, this place is perfect for a cold winter day when I am craving some soup!

Yelp
Daesung Korean Noodle in Queens is a cozy spot that delivers comfort in every bite. Their handmade noodles are the star of the menu, offering a perfect balance of chewiness and freshness. Whether you try their signature kal-guksu (knife-cut noodle soup) or the savory jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), each dish is packed with rich, authentic flavors that satisfy the soul. The warm, welcoming atmosphere at Daesung makes it a great place for a casual meal or to warm up on a chilly day. The friendly staff adds to the experience, ensuring you feel right at home while enjoying some of the best Korean noodles in the area. If you're a fan of comforting, homemade-style noodle dishes, Daesung should be on your list.

Yelp
If you love soup noodles like me, this is your dream place. The food is delicious, service is quick, and the prices can't be beat. We started with appetizers of course - vegetable and seafood pancakes and dumplings. All were good but the seafood pancake is a must and it was huge! I had the fish cake noodles and the soon du bu noodles. Fish cakes were delicious. Soon dubu was good but not as flavorful and spicy as I was hoping. I think the rice version would be better, but all in all it was still good. They get packed super fast so prepare to wait a bit. Service is fast and great. They're quick to take your order and bring food out which helps with getting everyone in and out quick. Would definitely come back again if I was in the area!

Yelp
Wow such large portions!! Each noodle dish can honestly be shared with another person. Ordered the following: - Seafood oko pancake $29.99 - Lots of seafood, green onions, and cabbage that was garnished with bonito flakes and okonomi sauce. Very crispy even when it has cooled down. - Chicken (Dak) Kalguksu $16.99 - Flavorful and clean broth with chewy noodles! - Bibim Guksu $16.99 - Cold noodle with fresh vegatables and pickled raddish served with a spicy, sweet, and tangy gochujan sauce topped with half an egg. So refreshing on a hot summer day! Loved the few dishes we ordered and would love to come back to try the others! Also, FYI at the front there were free cabbage to take. Service was great!
google avatar

Serenity G.

Yelp
Service was fast and they even have a service bell on the table. Food portions were large. I recommend the seafood pancake and cold noodle with pork, both were delicious! The seafood wide noodle was very bland and would skip it. Quite spacious and didn't have a line for lunch on a weekday. Definitely would go back for their seafood pancake and cold noodles!

Yelp
One of my favorite authentic Asian spots!! Found this place on a whim and wow!!! If you are looking for delicious Asian food that is amazing and equally as comforting this is the spot to go! Great noodles that are so chewy and fresh. The broth is very delicate and perfectly seasoned! Service was great. They have a call button at each table which is very convenient during your meal. Inside is beautiful, clean, very chic and modern. I have not a single complaint. Loved loved loveddd my meal here!!

Yelp
BEST SEAFOOD PANCAKE I HAVE EVER HAD!! Came on a Saturday for lunch at 2 pm, and our party of 3 waited about 20 mins for a table. We ordered: + Seafood oko pancake - phenomenal. Like I said, best I've ever had. Sooo crispy. And huge! + Chicken soup with wide noodle - this was flawless. The broth was healing to me + Beef bulgogi soft tofu stew with long noodle - chicken broth was better, but the beef was amazing We got mild soups, but would try regular-level spice next time. They also give you unlimited kimchi that was really good. And with only those three dishes, we had a ton of leftovers! Excellent service, too - everyone was so friendly. Overall: Wow.
google avatar

Yelp
My fav fav fav spot! I was skeptical at first but im a believer!! This place is worth the hype! The noodles are freshly hand pulled and their sujaebi is thin and perfectly chewey. Broth is clean and soul touching! Complete korean soul food is at this spot. Place is impeccably clean and organized the staff knows the drill. The restaurant is pretty tight so might be hard to find a table during peak time but worth worth worth a try!
google avatar

Yelp
This delicious food went way above my expectations. The Oko seafood pancake dish was crispy and so flavorful with the toppings usually seen on takoyaki. The accompanying sides were also very tasty. Seafood noodle soup was filled with mussels and was definitely on point. Tofu bulgogi jjigae had a nice mixture that went well with everything we ate. My cold noodle with chicken looked like a piece of art. I had to snap a pic before digging in. Definitely a must try if you're in the mood for Korean noodles.
google avatar

Yelp
Got the kalguksoo with clams and seafood pajeon. Kalguksoo noodle was good, and the broth was light. It almost tastes a bit too bland, but I think it's intentional so you can enjoy with the additional sauce and housemade kimchi. Pajeon was good -- I liked the ratio of batter to toppings. It was modern and clean inside, and the service was prompt. (almost too fast paced)
google avatar

Taylor W.

Yelp
AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! The food here is phenomenal! The interior is very modern and chic! They have a lot of table space. It wasn't very crowded on a weekday so we were able to get seated right away. Staff members are also super helpful in answering any questions you have about the menu. We got the Haemul Oko Pajeon, Beef Bulgogi Bibim Guksu, and Eomuk Sujebi! I absolutely loved the Haemul Oko Pajeon, which was a korean seafood pancake topped with bonito flakes and okonomiyaki sauce. It came out sizzling on a hot plate and was so crispy. It was still crispy when I ate the last slice at the end of our meal! The Beef Bulgogi Bibim Guksu was so refreshing. It was the pretty combination of spicy, sweet, and sour. I honestly couldn't finish the whole thing because the portion was so big so I took it home. And omg, it tasted even better when I had it the next day. The Eomuk Sujebi was also delicious! The fishcake soup was so umami and perfect when you're craving hot soup! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD and the portion sizes made every dish shareable. I would definitely come back here again! Honestly, that bibim guksu is a core memory now!

Yelp
The service and food was excellent. Noodles were great as well as the dumplings and kimchi. Place is very clean too and has an A rating.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because I've heard so many good things about the food, but I came here on Wednesday and received one of the worst service experiences of my life from a woman with yellow/blonde hair. It wasn't about what she did to the customers, but my table actually witnessed her consistently screaming at her coworkers and acting like a dictator over things that seemed like nothing. At first we tried not to pay attention, but since my table can understand Korean it seemed like she was really taking her anger out and harassing the people she was working with. It was really uncomfortable and unpleasant to notice and not only because we are customers eating at a restaurant. I hope I can come back and enjoy the food another day.
google avatar

Kristy L.

Yelp
The restaurant was so well organized and it gave such a homey vibe. It was very comfortable seating as well. The service was quick and even provided us more banchan without us asking. They were nice and sweet even when we were leaving. The food.... Let me tell you. The food was amazingly amazing. I can't tell you how good it is... you need to go try it yourself. The portions were so big too that I had to share a noodle with two of my friends. The dumplings were so crispy... the pancake were so crispy. I would definitely go here again!!!
google avatar

Kenneth P.

Yelp
Go hungry or go with friends. The noodle portions are hefty. I eat a lot and I eat fast. I was eating for what felt like 10-15 minutes and it looked like I barely made a dent in my noodle dish. I love that the kimchi here is closer to the sweet side than it is the fermented/sour side. I would happily buy it by the pound if I didn't live so far. If you're hungry and want to eat fast, opt for the long noodle. I got the wide noodle the first time I went and it slowed down my eating. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I was very hungry and I associate noodles with deep breaths and long slurps. There can be a wait as they operate on the Chick-Fil-A schedule (closed on Sundays).

Yelp
I went twice, once alone and the next time I took friends because I needed to return Tried different dishes both times. The workers are so kind and helpful, I'm not Korean but she was very patient and taught me about the food and how to eat it, grateful for her! The food is very good, especially the kalguksu ! I'll be back !

Yelp
⁂ Haemul Oko Pajeon Seafood pancake with a japanese twist to it (bonito flakes and okonomi sauces ) which was soo soo good. The pancake was super crispy and flavors were so umami. Would go here again just for this! Just look at how it moves hehe (9/10) ⁂ Signature Kalguksu Their signature wide noodle. The broth had good flavor and the noodles were so soft. I wouldn't say there was anything spectacular about this but went well with the other stuff we ordered. (7/10) ⁂ Eomuk ulken Sujubi Fishcake wide noodle in spicy broth. I loved the texture of the noodles and the fishcakes were very tasty. I can't really take spice but wanted variety in the meal so this was a bit difficult to eat without downing a much of water as well. However, it was very tasty and would op for this again but maybe ask for less spicy haha (7/10) The kimchi and sweet radish were very good. The soups were okay, would probably go during the cold season as it was very warming to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
the pancake was amazing! the banchan was more sweet than spicy (which i like) and the noodles were ok. we were seated quickly despite it being fairly busy (saturday night, thanksgiving weekend) and the servers were friendly. something funny that happened was that every server we interacted with all initially assumed we were korean and spoke to us in korean (my friends and i are chinese). seems like they must serve pretty authentic food as most of the other customers around us were korean!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
An absolute must in the winter. A popular spot amongst the locals - they serve incredible noodles and pajun. Ambiance is cozy and casual, plenty of seating for both small and larger groups. One of my go-to spots for seafood pajun. Every bite is a crispy goodness with a hint of bonito flakes. They really dont skimp on the seafood here. Definitely order this for the entire table, its a huge portion. Staff is lovely here, always circling around checking up on us and re-filling our banchan.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally had a chance to come dine-in instead of takeout. Prior to dining in, I ordered seafood pancake and oyster pancake; which are both really delicious. I usually get their seafood pancake and chow it down in the car. What makes this place different is their amount of seafood on their pancake and bonito flakes on top. Today, their seafood pancake didn't have much seafood, but made up for it with Mayo which made it overly sweet. The ratio of the pancake just wasn't balanced. Also got their clams with long noodles. It was a huge bowl. I couldn't finish it. The broth was so simple and so tasty and love that it was piping hot on a cold winter night. The clams were quite sandy though. The service was super quick and friendly. The restaurant looks traditional with wooden tables. I really enjoy their kimchi too. If you love their kimchi too, you can purchase some to take home!

Yelp
This has been my go to spot when I crave kalgusksu or sujeibi, prices are reasonable with huge portions although appetizers are a little more expensive for what you get. The food is always on point and satisfies my cravings for noodle soup. I will say this spot has blown up in the last few years and if you come during peak lunch/dinner time... there's always a crowd so you do feel them rush you out at the end of your meal. I would recommend coming during off peak hours or in between lunch and dinner to avoid this. Otherwise this would be a solid 5 star in my book.

Yelp
This is my first time at Daesung Korean Noodle and it came highly recommended by some friends and family members. The noodle portions were big and very filling. It was a hot summer day when I visited and I ordered the spicy cold noodle (sorry I can't remember the name). It was sweet and savory and a little spicy all at the same time. It was very refreshing. And when I was leaving I saw that a lot of the customers also ordered the cold noodle. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside and packed with seafood and scallions. Their kimchi is house made and it was so good that I bought a container to take home with me. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend that you check it out

Yelp
I asked a friend of mine to recommend some authentic Korean food in the area and Daesung exceeded all expectations. On a Saturday night we were seated immediately, but the staff almost overlooked our table because they were short staffed. It was a small oversight considering how polite and efficient the service was after we flagged someone down to get menus. The ambiance is relaxed and casual and while the service is fast, they don't rush you out right when you're finished eating (the downfall of eating anywhere in Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn). All the food was really good including the banchan. The seafood pancake was the best I've ever had. It's perfectly crispy and the batter they use just hits different. Both the Kalguksu and Spicy Seafood Kalguksu were flavorful and refreshing. The clear broth in both noodles is easy to drink and perfect on a cold day. They have sauces on the side to dip your pancake/add to the soup but I think the entrees standalone were flavorful enough without them. I was really surprised when the bill came and the total was ~$70 (with tip) for the amount and quality of food we got. Split amongst three people, it was practically a steal. And we didn't leave feeling bloated or heavy. Guess I need to check out Bayside more often.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
My sister suggested this place for my birthday and I didn't think too much of it because I'm not usually a fan of cold noodles. We got here at 6pm on a Saturday night and were promptly seated (6 adults and 1 baby). The ban chan they served was kimchi and sweet pickled radish. I will just say that I'm not a kimchi connoisseur but I've had my fair share and their kimchi was THE BEST I've ever had. I thought it was just me but the entire table was commenting on it at first bite. The radish also had a nice punch to it followed by sweetness. For apps we ordered the bacon seafood pancake and fried dumplings. The bacon ojo pajun was the star dish. It's like an okonomiyaki with bonito flakes and sauce on top but stuffed with seafood and bacon. It was crispy when you bit into it but so moist inside and it was SO TASTY. We also ordered a mix of noodles. We had the kong-guksu which was cold black bean noodles in a black bean soup. It comes unsalted but there is a small pot of fine, powdery salt for you to add to your hearts desire. I'm not sure if this is everyone's cup of tea. Some might find it bland (my husband) but I thought it was very refreshing. It reminded me of the Chinese version of a cold noodle with peanut sauce dish. Everyone else ordered bibim-guksu which I thought was just ok. It was a better version of the cold Korean noodles I've had but I still thought the pajun was the best thing out of the entire meal. The ambiance here is very cozy and it looks newly renovated. Service is very speedy and staff are all very friendly. TIP: the noodle portions are huge here. I would recommend sharing a noodle dish and getting a few apps.

Yelp
Specialized Korean restaurant. Menu is very straightforward. It focuses on pajeon (a fried pancake), kalgujsu (long noodles), and sujebi (wide noodles). Each of these comes with a variety of options which redoubles the menu, but keeps it approachable. There are also appetizers, tofu, and beverages. We shared the seafood pancake and the seafood broth with wide noodles. Pancake was delicious! Crispy and just the right level of greasy. I sprinkled on some of their spicy seasoning for a little bit more flavor. It's a big portion, so we ended up bringing about half of it home. The seafood broth was flavorful and developed a creamy texture as the noodles as in the soup a bit. The mussels and shrimp were my favorite additions in the soup. The noodles were chewy and freshly made. The meal came with kimchi and sweet pickled radishes. Both of the side dishes were great. They sell the kimchi to go. I paired the meal with a bottle of Makgeolli. The atmosphere was modern casual. Service was very quick. The restaurant was bustling and the staff turned over tables fast. There were two single occupancy restrooms.

Yelp
The BEST Korean noodle place, so uniquely flavourful. Great noodle texture, toppings, and broth flavor. Seafood pancakes is also sooo good. It is a little pricey but very worth it!!

Yelp
Hands down best seafood pancake I've ever had!!! It was super crunchy and flavorful. Found this place randomly on google and went to give it a try. I got the wide noodle seafood and it was amazingggg. The restaurant felt pretty upscale and staff was super nice. We didn't realize until after that the noodles were meant to be shared so we each got a bowl and had to bring it home haha.

Yelp
The seafood pancakes here are hard to beat, packed with chunks of seafood and not greasy at all. Definitely one of the best I've had. The seafood tofu and beef noodle soups came in generous portions, super hot, and full of flavor, with the wide noodles having just the right amount of chew. The complimentary side dishes were good but a bit basic, consisting only of kimchi and pickled radish. The space is comfortable with a clean vibe, accompanied by a friendly, responsive and cordial staff. Add this spot to your list and bring your friends - you'll all enjoy it!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for Korean comfort food. They're super warm and inviting. They have the crispiest seafood pancakes and you have to get the okonomiyaki version. The bonito flakes really elevates the dish. The banchan is also one of the best in queens. They're super quick to refill when you finish the ban chan. I got the seafood soondubu, the broth was rich and spicy, with generous portions of seafood.

Yelp
~ Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajeon) ~ The pancake is huge! Generously stuffed with lots of squid, shrimp and scallion, and fried to golden crispiness on the outside, and the inside remain soft and slightly chewy. It's an interesting texture (quite different from what I had in the past) but still pretty good! Taste even better when you dip it with the sweet and savoury sauce, or eat it together with the home made spicy kimchi. ~ Beef Bulgogi Bibim Guksu ~ I love Korean cold noodle dishes! The somyeon (thin wheat flour noodle) is pretty chewy, mixed with the flavourful sweet and spicy sauce (it's not that spicy, even my friend who couldn't eat spicy can eat them!), vegetables and an boiled egg. I wish the sauce could be more a bit more on the spicy side rather then the sweeter side, nonetheless it tasted pretty good. Plus, it is a huge bowl of noodle!! Will I be back? Yes! Great portion, great flavours, what more do you want?! The 2 of us are super stuffed after this, we couldn't finish the pancake so we got the remaining pieces to go. The staff are super friendly and attentive too!!

Yelp
My friend and I went there on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30 pm. The place was packed but we got seated right away by a gracious host/server who helped us arrange ourselves and our drenching umbrellas. Perfect rainy weather for a kalguksu btw. While we were going through the menu she suggested that if we are ordering a pajeon then we should order only one soup since it would be too much food if we ordered more than that for 2 people. We appreciated having that information and also it made us feel that the people working there genuinely cared of us enjoying the food and not just upselling. About the food. The kimchi is very fresh so you won't find any hint of sourness (if you're expecting it). The radish was smothered in soy sauce and (seemed like) honey or mirin. Haemul pajeon was made nice and crisp upon our request but I felt like it was missing something (maybe it needed a little bit more green onions in and on it) but the seafood in it was of good quality and it paired very well with the sujebi broth. Now the star of the lunch was the spicy chicken sujebi. The broth was soul warmingly spicy and the noodles were the perfect melt in your mouth texture. I would definitely suggest visiting this place before the cold season ends to have the kalguksu or sujebi. I most certainly am. Enjoy

Yelp
Just experienced a feast at Daesun Korean Noodle! From their homemade wide and long noodles to savory Korean pancakes, mandoo (dumplings), and comforting tofu stew, every dish was a flavor adventure. The noodles were a perfect balance of chewy and delicious, and the Korean pancakes were a crispy delight. The mandoo and tofu stew added that extra touch of authenticity. If you're craving homemade Korean goodness, Daesun is the place to be!

Yelp
Come for the kalguksu and seafood pancake! We love restaurants that only offer a few types of items on their menu because that means they do them very well. We were searching for a noodle soup place on a cold day and ended up at daesung at an off hour around 3pm on a Saturday. There were still tables filled, but it wasn't too busy. They have many different kalguksu/sujebi soup fillings and I was surprised to also see tofu soup with noodles We got a seafood pancake to share - HUGE and so crispy. Their batter is different than any other I've tried. They also don't skimp on the amount of seafood. We were eating leftovers for days I got the chicken kalguksu - I love thick broths, and this one was much thicker compared to my husband's spicy clam noodle soup. He also thoroughly enjoyed his. Both bowls were also HUGE, so I'd recommend sharing or you'll have leftovers. I like that they have the sauces on the side for you to use at your disposal We'll definitely be coming back when the craving hits.

Yelp
One of my favorite Korean spots in Queens! The restaurant is always clean and the staff are so friendly. They specialize in kalguksu (long and thin) and sujebi (wide and chewy) style noodles, and there is a wide variety of soups and stews you can get with them. Their portions are pretty large, so we always leave with leftovers (enough for another meal or two). My go-tos are the pork soondubu sujebi and the beef bulgogi bibim guksu (cold noodle dish), but everything is delicious. They also have the best kimchi and pajeon. The haemul pajeon is a must! It's very crispy and full of seafood. They also sell containers of kimchi so you can take some at home. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Service was really good and efficient despite the long lines. Although their were a lot of tables in front of us, we were able to get seated pretty quickly and was able to order before being seated so we could get our food quicker. The soup base is what makes the place special and taste very similar to the noodles I had when I went to Korea. I prefer the knife cut noddles compared to the wide noodles. I tried the cold noodles (not pictured) and the seafood pancake (not pictured) and the pancake was one of the better pancakes I had.

Yelp
This place has the best seafood pancake I've ever had. Would get the one with the bonito flakes as it adds another layer of umami and texture. The kimchi they give you is fresh, crunchy and slightly spicy. Wonderful compliment to the noodles. I ordered the short neck clams soft tofu kalguksu which was a nice mix as my friends with just noodles found it a little too much. The clams were had some residual sand left in them so would not recommend if that bothers you. There were a few orders of short neck clam noodles so the issue was prevalent.
