Relaxed hangout serving coffees, pastries & sandwiches, plus handcrafted desserts & fancy cakes.
"If you’re downtown and want a little treat, D’Andrews is the spot. It sells some of the most beautiful pastries in the city: marshmallow-topped s’more croissants, gooey chocolate chunk cookies, and sticky pecan cinnamon buns. The coffee drinks here—like cappuccino and a nitro cold brew—are great, too. Sometimes, the pastries rev up your appetite instead of quelling it (we’ve been there). If that’s the case, order one of the breakfast or lunch sandwiches made with the shop’s homemade focaccia bread. This is also the place to pick up a cake or some other fanciful pastry for a special occasion, like a baby shower or an office birthday celebration (Brian from IT always gets that buttercream one from Kroger, and it sucks)." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak
"Nashville native David Andrews moved back from NYC in 2016 and opened his first shop downtown. At D’Andrews, a 2024 James Beard Award semifinalist, you can grab an espresso, nitro cold brew, or latte with homemade syrups to go with decadent rotating pastries including double-butter croissants, blueberry corn muffins, and brioche pecan cinnamon buns. The breakfast and lunch cafe also makes an enticing assortment of salads, soups, and sandwiches, including a BLT, a pimento grilled cheese, and egg sandwiches, all on house focaccia." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Eater Staff

"The rest of Nashville’s semifinalists, who were named in January — Trevor Moran of Locust, Arnold Myint from International Market, and D’Andrews Bakery & Cafe — didn’t make the cut for today’s 'short list' of nominees, though their 'long list' consideration still carries its own measure of prestige." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"David Andrews, the owner of D’Andrews Bakery and Cafe, shared his experience of the Christmas Day bombing and how it affected his family and business. Open since 2018, the restaurant, described as a 'bakery masquerading as a restaurant,' is located on the ground floor of the Cumberland Building. Andrews and his family live nearby in the Exchange Buildings." - Melissa Corbin
