"Let’s say you can’t decide between pizza and pasta. Probably invented in the Bronx at least a decade earlier, the ziti slice at Danny’s — a semi-luxurious pizzeria in East Williamsburg — will answer the question for you, because you can have both. In many versions of this crazy slice the pasta is too soft, but Danny’s ziti is more al dente, making for a better chew, and the smothering of cheese makes this wonderful slice a satisfying full meal." - Robert Sietsema

SerpAPI
The best pizza in New York! I have been eating pizza here for over 35yrs and no one tops this pizza, that juicy crunch...Mmmm! The staff is great and their food is the best! I Love Dannys pizzeria! You wont regret coming here!!!! 🍕😋

SerpAPI
This is one of the best pizza restaurants I have ever had. During our search for dinner, we stumbled across Danny’s pizza restaurant, I am so glad that we did. We had a large pepperoni (it was very large) some garlic knots and a few slices of cheese pizza. The service was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. When ever we come back to New York I will make sure to stop by and have some of their pizza again.

I've eaten from here several times and the pizza is always good, but this time it was dry, the crust was very thin and not enough cheese! But they still get 3 stars for my past experience!

SerpAPI
I try out Regular & Grandma Cheese pizza. Both are expectionally good but really disappoint with Garlic Knots...they are really hard to chew. Gr8 customer service...will try again.

Ive been coming here ever since I was a kid. Love the food from here. They don't ever disappoint.

Danny's is a no-nonsense - Steps above average - perfect stop for pizza and beer when in Bushwick. It is also one of the only places that has pasta-slices on the menu and that, as an item, in fact a a meal, for the price, is one hell of a winner. Danny's slices are always well crusted fluffy-crisp and big. Staff is always nice and always on point. Will always wanna come back and get that pasta slice.

Yelp
I order out this Pizzaria twice and the reason I give them stars, is because they follow up on the order I placed. On Uber Eats app menu hasn't been update so I ordered Burrata, and they didn't have that menu anymore. They called and let me know and I get an ordinary Caprese salad instead. The vinegar is not that great and too oily. I actually replace it with my Balsamic glaze. Penne a la Vodka is good and pasta is al dente. Fried Calamari is also good. Mussels is okay, just regular. Even I ordered from Uber Eats app but the restaurant use Relay Delivery instead so it confused me what app should I give delivery guy the tips? Anyway, I gave the tips to one of the app and hope the delivery guy get it.

Yelp
Was in the neighborhood on this rainy Sunday evening and stopped in for a slice (or three). My husband got Sicilian, Buffalo chicken, and I got a plain slice and we shared an order of garlic knots. Let's be real, I tried a bite of my husband's too. The slices were large and tasty, and as others have noted, just that solid NY slice. It made me get those "I love this city" vibes that only a nice slice can give you. My husband loved the garlic knots - lots of flavor. We ate it there but the delivery guys would not stop coming, so this is clearly a popular place for such a mediocre Yelp rating. Definitely deserves more love on here. Staff was helpful and friendly! Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
I haven't had anything but their pizza so this is a review strictly based of their slices of pizza! I've had pizza from nearly every pizza spot across Williamsburg and Bushwick and I can confidently say this place has THE best plain slice. It is so thin yet not floppy, has the best texture and slight crunch and still maintains a great flavor. I don't know how they get a pizza so thin without being overly greasy and floppy. 10/10

Mjonathan R.

Yelp
What tf is this? They delivered a soggy pizza, slightly uncooked, with a third of the little cheese they used IN the box instead of on the pizza. Some parts of the pizza have no cheese, like at all. It's so soggy that it left the box moist on the bottom. I can't even cut it properly because it's so soggy! The dough is too soft to cut!

Troy C.

Yelp
I have been a long time customer at Danny's but lately there's something wrong with the quality of their pizza. Tonight I spent 50 some dollars and waited an hour and a half for a pizza that was cold and overcooked (the crust was very tough and almost un edible) like it sat around a little while before it was delivered. The Caesar salad was fine - the mozzarella sticks, eh... We ate what we could of the pizza (gave most of the crust to the puppies) because we were too hungry to wait another hour and a half for something else. This was a 1-2 star meal but I give them a 3 out of loyalty giving room for improvement. ALSO.... Don't order from the website ordering system. They offer very little or no support for your order. I recommend ordering from Seamless. At least they guarantee the product and make it easier for you in case you receive sub par food. (No. I do not work for seamless or any of its subsidiaries!). My order number on menufy was: 60721757

Sundeep S.

Yelp
Pizza was ok. Staff is friendly! Corner location makes it ideal for a quick pick me up Great for a quick snack or a meal. $3 a slice.

Josie L.

Yelp
you need to get a square slice and it needs to be fresh!! I love Danny's, the people behind the counter are always really nice too

Ava B.

Yelp
the delivery was ontime byt oooh mygod that pizza was so stale! felt like they gave us the display pie that sat out all day and threw on our ordered toppings without any regard. chewing it felt like chewing day old pizza and it wasnt even that late at night maybe 8:30/9pm so there is no reason why we shouldnt have gotten a fresh pie. $35 down the drain, we threw the whole pie out after a slice

Kylie B.

Yelp
Decided to order a grandma pie because I have always heard good things about Danny's. Unfortunately, this pie was super disappointing. It looks good in the photo but the taste is not there. The sauce tastes and looks like cheap marinara sauce and had chunks of tomatoes in it. The only somewhat redeeming factors were that the crust was crispy and the delivery was on time. Won't be ordering again.

NY C.

Yelp
This is an excellent NY-style slice. Checks all the boxes for thin crispy crust, quality cheese & sauce. "NY Pizza Rat Approved"

Kay J.

Yelp
Prices were already ridiculous at Danny's but I never really complained much because the food WAS really good. Unfortunately lately you can tell they're cutting back in certain areas while the prices have gone up even more. $12.50 for 8 Buffalo wings? $12.50! They used to be $10. The pizza I just ordered was $28. It barely has any sauce or cheese on it. An absolute waste of money if I have to add sauce and more cheese and place it back in the oven. This is ridiculous. I understand cutting costs and raising prices but when the product you're selling comes out like complete trash I can't be a customer of yours anymore.

Yaya M.

Yelp
The cafe is very nice & very clean , classic Italian food and great lunch specials ! The home made sangria is to die for :) . Food is delicious and quick service . I recommend this place to everyone :)

Irish M.

Yelp
Local pizzeria in the East Williamsburg neighborhood located in the corner of the subway station. I had the mushroom and spinach slice, the pizza was ok but do not forget to order their garlic knots with marinara dipping sauce. Their garlic knots is packed with flavor. You can dine in or it's great for a quick bite. Homemade sangrias are also available.

Noel R.

Yelp
Danny's is my regular local togo gas oven. Awesome pizza. My son and I usually get a mushroom and pepperoni and it's awesome. I order them well done. Last time I added fresh basil and that made things even better! Solid pies all the time!

Arianny L.

Yelp
I go at the very least once a week! Love this spot. However, I would recommend going in person instead of ordering online.

Gabe B.

Yelp
I ordered a silician pie with extra cheese and pepperoni last week. the order wasn't even right. it was just a plain sicilian pie for 32 bucks. trust me the quality of this place has dipped downward. last time I order from here

Dominique W.

Yelp
Wow! We ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza and I forgot how good NYC slices were. The delivery was super quick, food was still very warm and pizza was phenomenal. This is the first local spot I've tested and now I'm wondering if I need to look further lol. Either way, this is a great place to get a huge and great slice: We also ordered garlic knots and they were great too. Highly recommended.

Mysings A.

Yelp
Yes please! Danny's has been my go to for years. They do not disappoint. I love getting a slice and they customize it as requested without question (I pay of extra of course) I love the Brooklyn vibe that always comes with a smile. I also love cheese sticks, the salad and the pasta. They deliver quickly and have an amazing text service you can use. Danny's is my neighborhood go to. Try it out.

Diane S.

Yelp
Watch what you order here good quality is horrible Calamari needs improvement called and they told me I would have to speak with boss think twice when ordering

Liz B.

Yelp
Danny's Pizzeria is my favorite Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. All the pics I post are of amazing delicious dishes. They never fail me. I've ordered almost everything on their menu

Miriam W.

Yelp
Ordered delivery tonight after our usual spot had a long wait so we decided to give this place a try and our experience was alright. The pizzas came kind of cold but we managed to heat it up.The pizzas though were nothing to rave about..they tasted just okay. We won't be in a rush to order pizza here but we appreciated the fast delivery especially on a Saturday night!!

Tiff C.

Yelp
Marinara sauce skimpers. Inconsistency in service. Only came twice and never going back

Lauren M.

Yelp
Pasta is pretty good and a large portion (for the dinner size). I had the vodka sauce penne with chicken to go and it came with a roll. Seems like a family-run spot that's been around for a while and the workers were nice. Will try the pizza soon. Happy this place is in the neighborhood!

F.R. D.

Yelp
Legit delicious ny pizza. Cheese to crust to grease ratio- on point. Cheese by the slice or whole pies. Either way delicious.

Marquis B.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick, reasonably priced slice of pizza around the border of Bushwick/East Williamsburg border then Danny's Pizzeria is a decent option. A slice of cheese pizza costs $2.75. Although it's not the best tasting slice in the city but it's good and definitely better than average. A large cheese pizza with a side of garlic knots and marinara costs $20 per there current special (1/2/21). NYC is known for having the best city in the world so the bar is set extremely high here. A mediocre slice here is probably equivalent to the best slice outside the Big Apple. Because of it's price and geographic convenience, however, I'll definitely be going back to this pizza shop to try other items on their menu.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Hello horrible customer service delivery service .. I ordered for a delivery waited an hour n 20 mins I called he's like oh we making it fresh for u that's y it's taking long when my order finally came it's was completely wrong order how I ordered penne vodka n they send my spaghetti so I called them to inform wrong order he tells me oh it's right we just ain't have penne noodles so they decide to give spaghetti noodles then my order was so messy the sauce was all over the bag no sauce on my actual plate had to walk all the way to bring the food back cuz the delivery man didn't want to come back n take my food so fuck up

V P.

Yelp
Family favorite for Friday nites for years. I have eaten at Danny's before they expanded to their dining space and second location on Graham ave. Love the pizza with pepperoni !

Cheryl P.

Yelp
We've gotten food twice so far and will be ordering again! The garlic knots had the perfect amount of butter and was a little crispy on the ends. The personal pizza is the perfect size and right amount of toppings. Overall, it's a great deal!

Johano T.

Yelp
I've had the regular pizza here before and it's okay. Not fantastic, just good. I made the mistake of ordering an eggplant parmigiana hero. The bread was good, the sauce was completely tasteless. I saw some cheese on it, but could not taste any cheese at all. The eggplant had the consistency of soggy cardboard left out in the rain. The entire sandwich was completely bland and had no taste whatsoever. I will never order this item again. A good eggplant parmigiana hero goes like this. The bread is fresh and a little toasty on the crust so it crunches when you bite into it. The sauce is generous, deep red and zesty. The cheese tastes like real shredded mozzarella that melts onto the eggplant and pulls into strings when you bite the sandwich. Here is how you make good eggplant. You clean the eggplant, the large deep purple one, not the smaller, lighter colored variety. You don't need to peel it. You slice it paper thin into circles. You dip both sides of each piece into a beaten raw egg and drag both sides across a plate full of seasoned Italian breadcrumbs, until the eggplant is breaded. Then you take each piece and place it in a frying pan with oil in it. You let it fry until it is toasty brown, then place it onto paper towels to soak up some of the extra grease. The result will be delicious. Danny's did not do that. Danny's sandwich was disgusting. They threw some frozen slop into the oven and served me a piece of garbage that tasted like something made by Chefboyardee. Pizza is okay. Don't waste your time or money on the Eggplant parm. Make your own. You don't have to be a chef. No recipe. No measuring. Just use your brain and care about whether it tastes good. Danny's obviously does not.

Laura S.

Yelp
This pasta at this place is so delicious. I legit think about ordering it all the time. Highly recommend the baked ziti, penne with vodka sauce, and the side of sauteed spinach. The pizza is good too, but the pasta is the best. THANK YOU Danny's for delivering high-quality food to New Yorkers during the pandemic.

Keira D.

Yelp
Ordered the grandma margarita pie. Arrived undercooked and inedible. Cheese was barely melted, and there was hardly any sauce. Virtually no flavor. Probably the worst pizza I've had in recent memory. How does someone screw up a cheese pizza? I've never know. Boxed it right up and gave it to this homeless guy on my block. An hour later, saw the pizza in the trash. Even a hungry homeless guy wouldn't eat it. LOL Don't waste you're money. Carmine's or Williamsburg pizza is 1000x better.

Ella S.

Yelp
BEST PIZZA EVER! Guys who work there are so nice, especially during the quarantine. They are always so welcoming and happy and it's a great part of my day. highly recommend. cheese is classic, crust is soft but crunchy. awesome.

Matt L.

Yelp
Danny's pizzeria is kind of a dual service establishment: on one hand, it has a casual sit down/take out pizza wing on the corner; on the other hand, it also is a proper sit down kind of restaurant, though all I did was pick up a pizza to go, so I cannot speak to that part of the I was visiting my friend on McKibben street, so this pizzeria was really conveniently located. If it weren't for that, I probably would have no reason to come here. I ordered a whole pie, so I asked them to make a new one for me. It cost... $20 I think? And they prepared it in about 10 minutes, which was pretty fast, all things considered. They have quite a few patrons in and out of this place, so it's not like this place is empty. The pizza is pretty good. Not really anything special, but totally edible and served pretty hot. The pizza is fairly large actually... like, definitely larger than a large at like dominos? I'm really not sure how large that is, but perhaps a little bigger than 16"? You'd have to go to know for sure (or call in), but I definitely think I got my money's worth. OVerall, I'd come back if I was in the neighborhood again and wanted to buy a whole pie.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Pasta was alright, meatballs were alright - but there's a certain level of dishonesty that comes with throwing dry parsley on Campbell's chicken noodle soup and charging 7 bucks for it. Buyer beware.

Trent P.

Yelp
Excellent service Excellent food.... When I'm on that side of town Danny's Pizzeria is my goto spot

Brittney C.

Yelp
The food didn't taste good here. I ordered from either Uber eats or door dash. The food looks really good in the pictures advertised on the website but I wasn't smitten with the actual taste. The wings were very soggy. I mean they weren't the type of wings that had sauce on them they were fried with a breading and then tossed in a sauce which then made it extremely saucy. Very very gross texture. I can't blame it on delivery because the food actually came fast. The Alfredo has NO SEASONING! Very very strange once again. It tasted like noodles that weren't strained all the way and then tossed in a alreado canned sauce. The anti pasta salad meat tasted as if it had some out of the lunch meat prepackaged aisle. It wasn't fresh at all. I've had anti pasta salads at authentic Italian spots and it did by taste like this. Won't be going back. Don't recommend

Eva J.

Yelp
I'll start with the disclaimer that I didn't have the pizza here. I came for a quick bite with a friend and we got their Garlic & oil mussels. I'm a sucker for seafood in general but the mussels were tasty. I got some bread and lemon on the side and it was snowing outside. Maybe the snowfall on a quite Wednesday night makes my heart particularly vulnerable to the taste of the mussels but frankly, I'd get them again. Even on a less magical night. Not sure if I want to try the pizza here, just based off of reviews but I'd get the mussels again. Sad I forgot to take a picture (I was too hungry so I forgot) but honestly, you can probably do a lot worse on a snowy midweek work night. It was quiet & simple. Not intensely memorable but neither are a lot of life's moments. Even if I don't come back here, I thought it was worth the review.

Mai A.

Yelp
Their garlic bread has nothing to do with that, it's just a baguette sandwich with butter inside! And it came with burnt ends!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Ordered delivery, the pizza was SO GOOD! knocked a star off bc they forget the pepperoni we added on two of our pizzas, but the regular cheese pizza was so good I'm not even that upset about it. Will order again! For reference we ordered 4 personal size pizzas and happy with all of them.

Stacy B.

Yelp
Danny's Pizzeria you are totally outstanding, I had an incredible experience here yesterday. Good value for the money. Staff are very pleasant. They're accommodating, polite and always on their game. Each and every single item that we purchased was incredibly fresh and yummy. Definitely recommending this place to my friends!

Sonja C.

Yelp
So this place was cool. I had a regular slice. It was not to hot and not cold. I ate inside the place. It's nothing fancy inside. I would recommend this place if you just want a quick bite to eat. This place is crowded so it's def a fav of people in the area

Brookie B.

Yelp
I just ordered delivery and I asked for my pizzaCRISPY and WELL DONE, the guy said don't worry I got it. I literally received a pie of dough with melted cheese on it an hour later...

Marvin P.

Yelp
I came in here starving on my lunch break about 20 minutes ago. I left highly disappointed. I want my $6.50 back How do you mess up a chicken roll?????? By doing what they did and not putting marinara sauce inside .

Alex P.

Yelp
Yo! First of all, this Is my first Yelp review EVER. Came here for a slice (just one) . We've had sangria and fried calamari as well as two slices of pepperoni. We aren't done yet.... place is chill, food is great, music alone is enough to make me want to stay, service is easy and comfortable. It feels like an old school neighborhood spot your parents might have had their first date at. I'm definitely coming back. I would recommend Danny's to anyone. I'm probably about to order more food but I couldn't wait a second longer to tell you al about this sick little spot!

Budur N.

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience at Danny's Pizzeria & Cafe. The ambience was laid-back and friendly. Every thing I've tried so far is wonderful. Service was excellent and everyone working here was extremely nice and hospitable. I can recommend this place enough, it's so relaxing and amazing vibes.

Shirely N.

Yelp
I am impressed, Danny's Pizzeria & Cafe was actually wonderful. Delicious menu items and excellent service. The food selection was really interesting, but Buffalo Chicken Pizza was especially outstanding. The workers is definitely a highlight of this place because they are always quick, polite, and provide service with a smile! Probability of going back to Danny's Pizzeria & Cafe: 100%

Kamilla B.

Yelp
I ordered a salad and bolognese pasta. Salad was sad. Tomatoes looked pale and red onions were barely there. Pasta overcooked. The meat sause tasted too much like tomato paste. Perhaps, they do good pizza but I am not ordering from them again.

Benjamin L.

Yelp
Ole faithful, Danny's. Some people like to hate on Danny's (my old roommate and some of the guys I play in a band with) and I'm actually appalled when they spew nonsense about this place. Listen, short and simple, if you're on Montrose ave and you're trying to get a quick slitch or two just pop into Danny's and get yourself something nice. It's good for what it is and where it's at. If you show up a little late maybe past 10pm or so on a weeknight they have a window open and the door locked you can potentially barter for the rest of the slices. One night me and deeter popped our heads in here after band practice and bought the place out. Got a coupla plainers, coupla ronis, a spinach how ya doin and a few other randoms that I don't remember. Paid like $20 for 10+ specialty slices. And after all that you're going to sit there and tell me Danny's is bad? Get out of my face with that. Added bonus: They serve Modellos for when you want a quick brew during your pizza break. Unfortunately they don't have diesels but you can pop next door to Mami grocery after if need be.

Harmony N.

Yelp
Wanted some pizza while in New York. Loved that this place had a "to-go" side and a "sit-down" side. We sat at the bar and Michelle was super nice. She grabbed us anything we needed and chatted for a while. We had some slices, garlic knots, and a salad. Food was great.....a little greasy, but I expected it because I ordered pepperoni. I truly believe that the "trick" to a good pizza is the sauce. This sauce was light and not overwhelming. Next time I am in Brooklyn, I will be back!

Dorothy K.

Yelp
I love this pizzeria as it is next to my friend's apartment, so it's very convenient. I have never heard of Caesar salad on pizza before, but oh boy! It's so good! My new fave pizza.
