"Dante is known for its wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, but the restaurant also serves some of the best modern Italian cuisine in Omaha. The menu features seasonal specials, house-made pastas, an all Italian wine list, a succinct lineup of original craft cocktails, and a butterscotch budino that’s one of the city’s most notable desserts. Dante also serves as a hopping west Omaha nightlife spot, where the crowd keeps things fun." - Sarah Baker Hansen

Went out for lunch to celebrate my father's birthday. One of the appetizer plates had some dry food residue left on it. We got some food and drinks including pizzas and pastas. The service was fairly slow considering it was not very busy. Quality of food was decent - the dough for the pizza was tasty but the toppings / sauces were lacking in flavor. The honeycomb appetizer is enjoyable but it's disappointing that they switched to a bread that's not as good.

I have been in Omaha for work for about 2 weeks now, have already visited this gem 3 times, and will absolutely be going again before I leave. The pastas are made in house daily, the brick oven pizzas are incredible, and the ribeye absolutely fantastic. The bar staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; Jackson helped me and a colleague choose several different drinks that are now go tos. If you're in the area and haven't been here, you're missing out.

I never thought I would come to Omaha. However work sent me here, little did I know that the foodie culture is thriving and spear heading the way is Dante. I have been 4 times in two weeks, I love it. As someone from NYC let me tell you this is what we search for. The pizza is top notch, the homemade pasta Wow. On my fourth visit I had this digestive (pictured below) and it topped off my trip. Omaha has now become to layovers worthy. Wow!!!

We’ve been wanting to try this place since we moved out here, and I’m sure glad we finally got to go. It’s been vaulted to the top tier of restaurants for us out here in Omaha. We started right out the gate with greatness. We started with the Fritto Misto, the squid was fried to perfection, with the perfect layer of crisp to complement the squid. The flavor was out of this world, paired with the potatoes, chili, and the lemon aioli. I could have ordered this dish three times over and been satisfied just snacking on this all night long. As for the entrees, the pizza Napoletana was out of this world. You could tell it was going to hit from the aroma as soon as you walked in. It is honestly the best Napoletana I have ever had, in Omaha, in DC, in NY, really anywhere. We decided to be adventurous and go for the featured pizza. The pistachio pizza. We didn’t know what to expect, not only were we not disappointed, but we were more than surprised. The blend of the pesto, mortadella, mozzarella, mint, and pistachio hit just right. This is going to be a regular item for us moving forward, and I’m an Amore di Carni kind of guy. As for the bolognese, I don’t even know how to explain it. It is hands down the best tasting bolognese I have ever had. As for the service, I really appreciated our server. Great conversation and great recommendations throughout the night. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Stopped in to celebrate anniversary dinner. Ordered the meatballs appetizer, funghi Bianco pizza entree, and wood fired Brussels sprouts side, and gelato flight for dessert. All were quite delicious, though the Brussels sprouts were a touch under salted for my taste, unless you got a bite with the bacon pieces. The wine selection was broad. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and informative. It was a touch loud given the open atmosphere, so if you're looking for a more intimate place, maybe go when it's less crowded. Definitely recommend!

Four stars for good food, nice atmosphere, and great service. All of the dishes were good, but missing some flavor depth on the chicken and gnocchi dish (this dish was pretty bland), as well as the ricotta gnocchi (also bland and a little dry). The brussels were perfect. The pork belly app was nice.

Amazing food and great service. We stopped in for an early Friday dinner and were immediately seated on the patio. We started with the House Ricotta & Honey Comb. It was fantastic. The ricotta was light and fluffy with a hint of lemon. It was a great flavor combination with the accompanying tigelle bread, local honey comb and bacon jam. For dinner I ordered the house made Squid ink Taglierini. It was tossed in a calabrian chili sauce with bottarga and jonah crab. The flavor was excellent- very fresh and unique. My husband had the Rigatoni Bolognese with added burrata and it was delicious as well. Everything about our meal was excellent. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Honestly, I would have liked to give more stars, but it was a horrible experience. We went as a group and had reservations but were definitely an afterthought. They sat us right at the top of the stairs, so anytime someone passed by for the two and a half hours, they bumped into my husband's chair. Since we had more than ten people they started at the other end of the table and by the time they got to our end they were out of everything and we had to wait on our end several times for basic things, like water. We asked for a pitcher to be left at our end three times before they did, and we were out of that within minutes and refilled. To charge $4 for a can of soda is ridiculous if you are not going to bring us water for the whole table. Now, the food. The Meatballs & Polenta was great... I'm just surprised that only three come for $16. The Diavolo was great with the extra mozzarella but very hot. We love spicy and had to take some peppers off, but we would order again. Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe was the worst pasta I had ever tasted. It was beyond bland and was on the table when we left it was that bad. However, nothing compared me for the "Strawberry Cheesecake." It not only looked like a blob of bolgonie, but it tasted worse. Waitress didn't even ask about why we didn't eat anything. Passed the 'cheesecake' around, and not even 1/4 of it was ate because no one enjoyed it. Several other issues with our party, like waitress not putting in orders and them running out of good deserts or even checking in on us. It is just all around a memorable experience for the wrong reasons.
