19 Standout Korean Restaurants in Murray Hill, Queens

"This is the promised land for duck lovers; the restaurant name translates to “everything duck.” The grilled slices of duck are thicker with a heftier crest of fat, and they’re served spicy and non-spicy with the latter highlighting duck’s natural meaty flavor. The inclined grill allows the grease to drip off. The oritang (duck soup) is a rich spiced broth dotted with the tiny earthy and crunchy beads of perilla seeds. The assorted banchan is top-notch. And for a dose of history, take a look around the space for black and white photos of post-war South Korea." - Caroline Shin

Yelp
As hole in the wall as it can gets Tucked away from northern blvd is this hidden gem. I am so surprised this place is not more popular. They have all the Korean classics at a great price. Their short rib and buckwheat noodles are phenomenal. Service here is top notch too - tons of excellent panchan. Free stream egg and doenjjanjiggae. And a free bowl of cinnamon drink to close the meal. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. Def give them a try!

Yelp
The food is amazing, but the customer service is lacking. The treatment of nonregulars and non-Korean speaking customers is somewhat disappointing. They removed us from our half table to sit a larger party. They gave us another table about 15 minutes later. However, they didn't really do anything to make us feel better other than offer soda. The staff don't speak much English as well, so when they were asking us questions, it took some time to understand. The grilled duck was delicious. My first time having grilled duck at KBBQ. Juicy and grilled perfectly. Not the most tender duck I've had, but it was pretty good. The pork belly was grilled well too. There was a wide variety of banchan. You could honestly get full off just that, and I almost did because everything was delicious. Two bbq items was more than enough. We had trouble finishing off the makguksu. There was sujeonggwa at the end of the meal to help digest. The food is delicious. However, the service left a bitter taste.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were super excited to try this place after seeing the great reviews that had been posted, but we were extremely disappointed. My boyfriend and I made an extremely last minute decision to eat here, we were really looking forward to it after seeing the great reviews about both the meat quality and the service here. The restaurant was empty when we entered with all but 2 other tables seated inside. We sat down, and took maybe 3 minutes looking at the menu before we were approached and asked if we were ready to order. This was our first time here and our first time looking at the menu, so we said we needed more time. Our waitress walked away, and not even a foot away from our table, I heard her click her tongue. I was extremely shocked but considered that maybe I had misheard. We ordered our food, and all the side dishes came promptly. We were pleasantly surprised about how many side dishes there were, but to our disappointment, we only liked 2 of them. When the meat came, our waitress came over to cook it for us, we were extremely excited to try the meat especially since it was being cooked on a charcoal grill which is somewhat unusual and rare nowadays. But the meat came out tasting burnt rather than smoky, to the extent that it had a bitter aftertaste. The meat quality itself was not notable and rather disappointing. To top it off, the entire cooking process was so awkward. I think the air vent suction thing might not have been working because the waitress had to keep holding it above our meat...maybe a little too close that at times we'd see it touch the meat. It was awkward because she was using tongs to hold the vent down, and at times it'd slip and swing too closely to us in the air. At some point one of the waitresses came over to ask if help was needed, she tried to push the vent down with her hands, but the moment her fingers touched the hot vent, she sharply withdraw her hands with a gasp. It felt like they didn't know what they were doing The entire experience felt extremely inexperienced and unprepared. It was as if the staff was new or received no training to prepare them for a kbbq restaurant, and maybe the equipment was also not working. I was also feeling extremely self conscious because being the only table that needed serving in the restaurant, I guess all the attention was on us. I could feel the stares of the maybe 4 waitresses on us for most of our time there, and since our waitress was grilling our meat the entire time we were sitting there, it was a bit awkward to have conversation. We ended up just eating in silence and leaving within 30 minutes of us being there, which was no fault of their own, but a factor to consider. Although we really wanted to like this place, we didn't and probably won't be back to give it another chance :( Disclaimer that we did come extremely late for dinner, but they accepted us, and I feel like if you aren't able to provide the same quality of service or food, that's when you should stop accepting customers.

Yelp
Ate here today with my parents and sister for my belated birthday to try this place out for the first time. We had ordered different kinds of BBQ meat to share and eat together. The service there was definitely great and attentive. We couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Yelp
Had such an amazing mother day celebration at Daori. One of the best place I ever had and definitely beat out its competitor next door. I was a loyal fan of the Michelin restaurant next door but until I met Daori I would say this bbq place and service is so much better. The place is clean and you're met with kind sweet waitress who takes care of your needs. Love the banchans they give . Ordered a soup and two bbq items for 3 people and it was more than enough. Great ventilation system so your clothes won't smell. The short ribs and duck were the highlight and definitely worth it. Love how they start each guest with fried tofu, soup and end with their dessert soup. Would definitely be back!

Yelp
This place may be the best low key, bang for your buck, delicious Korean place I've been to. We ordered I think the 2nd meat combo with marinated kalbi, brisket and beef tongue for $99 and it was huge! We also ordered the duck to bbq which they did last. We were so full we had leftovers. All the meats are great. The ban chans were yummy like they took just as much care making them as the mains. The menu had a lot of options, things that ate more traditional that I haven't seen on many menus. Coming back for sure!

Yelp
I had an amazing experience here for BBQ. The duck BBQ was juicy and bursting with flavor. They provided a generous amount of banchan to accompany the meal, which added great variety and extra deliciousness. The service was exceptional-- the ladies were very attentive and provided top-notch customer service. Highly recommend this spot for a fantastic BBQ experience!

Yelp
My friends wanted to try their duck bbq and I'd say this place did not disappoint! Service was very good, everyone was very nice, and the place is super clean. I was pretty surprised with their banchan (side dishes) - there were lots of variety, everything paired so well with the bbq, and they had good quality stuff too. Will definitely be coming back and trying other things on their menu!

Yelp
A GEM OF A SPOT. This is a bit out of the way for Manhattanites, but there's plenty of buses that can be taken from the Flushing Main St station that can bring you here, and it's well worth the trip. This spot is known for their duck KBBQ, but I honestly felt like their service was the standout and blowaway feature. The servers here are very attentive to your orders and cook the food for you, whether it's KBBQ or stews, and they'll even split portion sizes to make it easier. We got complimentary doenjang guk (soybean soup) and steamed eggs with our order as well, which were both excellent. We ordered the Korean spicy marinated duck, black pork belly, and korean army stew. All the above were excellent, but the pork belly stood out to me, maybe because they took out white kimchi and grilled that together with the pork belly. The acidity here balanced out the fattiness really well, and our server showed us the recommended way to eat it as well, which was helpful. We were also starving, but these 3 dishes were way too much for 3 people. Maybe 3 dishes for 4 people would've been a more proper ratio. The vibe definitely reminds me of smaller hole-in-the-wall BBQ spots in Korea, and the staff was super friendly. Overall, an excellent KBBQ spot to check out, whether you're close by or further out!

Yelp
Oh my goodness. What a wonderful experience with their friendly staffs and more importantly delicious foods. There are a few Korean bbq's in this area so the standards are pretty high in order to compete. Daori certainly meets these standards so i definitely recommend trying it out.

Yelp
There is no shortage of amazing (and authentic) Korean restaurants in Flushing and Daori will now be on rotation. We usually go to Hahm Ji Bach right next door, but wanted to try a new place and soooo glad we tried it! I came on a Wednesday around 7pm and it was pretty empty then got packed about 15-20 minutes later. We ordered the Grilled Duck BBQ and Bibim Makguksu. I could be wrong but those 2 items aren't usually served at most Korean restaurants so I was really excited to try. The Grilled Duck was amazing and I prefer this type of cut duck for BBQ vs the thin cut. FYI if you order 1 portion of grilled meat, you do not get the steamed egg or side soup. The Bibim Makguksu (buckwheat noodles) was so refreshing from the standard Bibim Myun but be warned that the spice level on this is a bit higher than other places. The service was friendly and attentive and the side dishes were all tasty. 10/10 if you're in the mood to try not your too basic Korean food come here!

Yelp
I think I'm going to come back to this place for sure. Murray Hill is now probably the low-key queen of Korean dining in your city near me. Not only does this place really hook it up with the banchan but everything that we had including the duck, which they're known for was delicious. Everything came out so fast as well. It was hard to capture pictures of it all. They also give you this nice little sweet tea with cinnamon notes at the end that I actually haven't had before at a Korean restaurant. It was a really nice touch for the end of the meal. The service was excellent and the lady who served us was efficient, kind, and always checked in with us, and gave us suggestions as to how to best enjoy our meal, with tips that even surprised us a seasoned KBBQ eaters.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night because Hahm Ji Bach was it's normal crowded self. Daori was a few doors down and pretty empty which was great for my family. Prices here are comparable to other Korean restaurants so expect to pay over $100 for 4 people. We had 3 meats and our total was $123. However, the usual bonchon is the crowd pleaser. Also, the waitress was very kind cooking our food, even cutting up the meat for my toddler. I would recommend others try this place out if you want some elbow room while eating.

Yelp
After a nice trip to the Bronx Zoo we decided to head to Murray Hill Queens for some Korean BBQ. My son in law picked this place and we are glad he did. The service was excellent, the food was very good and the ambiance was very good as well. So far this is my favorite Korean BBQ we have visited. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop in. We will back.

Yelp
Def my fav Korean bbq in queens, huge variety of banchan(side dishes) and the bbq meats are . Highly recommend getting the duck and beef set. The manager is super nice and does the cooking as well! Price isn't too bad but try not to over order because you can get pretty full from the banchan :)

T T.

Yelp
Clean, lots of banchan, zero pressure from the wait staff who proactively kept hot tea cups full and asked if we needed anything.

Yelp
Our Gang of Four Foodies explores restaurants in Flushing and everywhere else. We are quite familiar with the range of Korean restaurants in Flushing and Manhattan. We have a new favorite! Daori is a standout restaurant for food, service and ambiance! We went for lunch and accepted gracious guidance from our server about what coordinates with what dish and how much to order. The advice and all the service from the first to the last moment was perfect! The photos were all taken by Pauline, an ardent foodie!

Yelp
Yeah this place gets high ratings from me. Great food and amazing banchan. Super clean, spacious, and friendly service. Ownership is the group that also runs Hahm Ji Bach/Mahsil in this area so you know they've got it going on. Highly recommend the grilled duck, but the naengmyun was a bit bland for my taste. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes (specifically the duck soup - need to make the request an hour in advance!)

Yelp
Came here for the duck pot! We had to make a reservation and order it then because they start cooking it before you get there. Super worth it especially on a cold winter night! I heard their bbq is good too but if you are down for something slightly different, I recommend it!

Yelp
I saw the $9.99 lunch special sign & decided to give it a try. I ate pork soup & rice. It was as good as any other restaurants in Flushing & I was given 8 side dishes. Plus, a cup of ginger cinnamon punch (sujeonggwa) after lunch. I was eating by myself & felt like I was given too much. All side dishes were wonderful. Been a while since I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Definitely will be going back.

Yelp
The duck was very good! I have not had duck bbq before. Typically I go for short ribs but this time the duck was the big winner. It was tasty and hit the spot. Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Lots of side dishes. Overall I would come back again, order the duck bbq again and try other duck entrees.

Yelp
I have not yet tried the food but very much looking forward to it! We ordered the Neungi Beoseot Baeksuk to take for a family member going through chemo. They had it before and loved it. In the Korean community, it's "known" that duck is a great source of protein and nutrients for chemo patients. We will definitely be back to try the other dishes as it all sounds amazing.

Yelp
Great food at great prices. They definitely know their Korean food prep. They just started a new lunch special 9.99. In 2023 in this economy! Definitely coming back for more

Yelp
Met my cousin here for dinner. It was our first time trying this place. The place is small but it can fit a certain amount of tables. We ordered beef which they grilled for us and a bunch of other foods. We also ordered some duck soup it was special. It tasted very delicious all the food tasted good and I would definitely come back here again.

Yelp
The bomb. Best kbbq spot in queens. Hands down the best. I always go here when I celebrate shit

Yelp
Came in at 830 on a Friday with 3 friends. A lot of tables were available. Google says they're closed at 10 but it's really midnight. Service was amazing. Super attentive, they even noticed which side dishes we were reaching for more and brought extras of those out. Speaking of side dishes, wow. The price of the bbbq meats are very standard for other Kbbq places but the value comes out in the quality and variety of the banchan. My favorite was the potato salad, eggplant, and soup. For mains, we ordered the duck and thick pork belly. The staff cooked it to perfection and it was not too greasy or heavy smelling at all. Cannot wait to come back and bring more friends here.

Lois P.

Yelp
If you ever need to find a bbq spot in queens, you need to try out this place. The best duck bbq in flushing w/ decent prices and great service order the sseng gogi!

Yelp
Food is soooooo good. We got pork belly and cold noodles. All of it was very delicious. It's one of the better Korean restaurants in the area
