Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If you’ve been on Capitol Hill recently and wondered why there’s a line of people along 12th and Pike, it’s because Dave’s Hot Chicken opened its first Washington location in the old Little Big Burger space. This LA-based chain serves Nashville-style chicken ranging from no spice to reaper-level heat in the form of chunky tenders and sliders smothered in “Dave's sauce.” Also, they're open until 11pm on the weekends. We recently checked out Dave's Hot Chicken. Read our first thoughts here. " - Kayla Sager Riley

Dave’s Hot Chicken Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There are those who will wait in the pouring rain on Capitol Hill for chicken tenders, and then there are those who won't. If you fall into the first camp, let us warn you that Dave's Hot Chicken is not worth your time or chicken tender-loving energy. Much like tiny sunglasses and Fyre Fest, this LA-based chain is past its 2017 prime. Here, you’ll find Nashville-style fried chicken ranging from mild to reaper-level heat in the form of chunky tenders and sliders smothered in “Dave's sauce” (think honey-spiked chipotle mayo). Unfortunately, the crinkle fries are stale, the potato rolls are soggy, and the tenders are limp. For a quick late-night snack on the Hill, we’d sooner hit or Dick’s. Or, maybe it's time to give a chance instead." - Kayla Sager-Riley

I recently ordered Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time online and got the two-piece tender combo with the hot option—it was amazing! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with intense, flavorful heat. The spice level was just right, giving a serious kick without overpowering the great taste. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the pickles added a perfect tangy touch. The online ordering process was quick and easy, and my food was hot and fresh when I picked it up. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to order again!

The hot chicken is the best hot chicken in the area. Chicken was juicy and loved the spice . We did the super hot tenders. Comes with bread and fried. They also have the cauliflower option which is a couple of dollars more but solid and delicious . So the vegetarians wont be disappointed! However, the people working here could be a little friendlier. No smile felt like they were going through the motions. However, highly recommend this place if you are a hot chicken lover !

Dave's Hot Chicken in Seattle is a must-visit for anyone craving bold, flavorful fried chicken. Nestled in a casual, no-frills setting, this spot focuses on what they do best—hot chicken. The menu is straightforward, but don’t let that fool you; each item is crafted to perfection. The chicken is always juicy, with a crispy exterior that holds up to the variety of heat levels offered. Whether you choose the mild or dare to try the "Reaper," you’re in for a treat. The sliders are a standout, packed with tender chicken, perfectly toasted buns, and just the right amount of pickles and sauce to balance the heat. The chicken tenders are also a great option, generously portioned and served with a side of their creamy, flavorful slaw. For sides, the seasoned fries are crispy and well-spiced, complementing the main dish perfectly. Service is quick, and the staff is friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on taste and spice, Dave’s Hot Chicken in Seattle is the spot. It’s a satisfying, flavorful experience that leaves you eager to come back for more.

#4 was your standard crinkle cut fries but an amazing deeper almost bbq seasoning that's got a salty finish 👌, love the extra pickles on the side 💃, and that burger is what you'd expect of a mild spice BUT MAN that was such a unique and delicious flavor 🤤🤤. All that plus tons of sauce for $9.99 near capitol hill? HUGE deal that absolutely hits the spot! Details and mascot are adorable. Only critique is it was hard to communicate, the vibe was amazing it was just loud enough that even leaning in I had a hard time understanding the cashier and the gentleman at pickup.

Finally got to try it. About 11 pm on a weekday and still packed. Food came out relatively quickly though, about 15 minutes for us. You have to find somewhere to stand around meanwhile and they call your name when ready. The food itself is good. It's not life changing or anything, but quite good. A bit too much salt and the breading was grainy almost. Medium doesn't taste spicy at all but hot is a little unpleasantly spicy so hard to find what I want. The slider was just a tender inside a hamburger bun. Fries were good, crispy. Pickle was probably my favorite part. Their sauce is very sweet. Pretty good though. About a solid 7/10 overall. A decent place to come by but not one I'll wade through a crowd to get to.

Nice location down in Cap Hill. Got a the slider(hot) with fries and a chocolate shake(no topping). The sandwich was very good. I liked the pickles, but the sandwich wasn't very spicy, could have used a little more heat. The fries were really delicious. Probably would skip the shake next time, it was just ok.

Great spicy chicken for a late night dinner. Service can be quite slow but the fresh fries and chicken are worth it. During late night rush hour the food quality is good but they are considerably understaffed. Vegetarian option is also discontinued

Being a fan of Nando’s, I visited this newly opened restaurant in Seattle. I had Dave’s menu #3, 1 slides, 1 tender and fries. Medium hotness level was ideal for me but maybe next time I will try Hot also. I will be back here for sure.
