Ok here is the caveat, maybe we ordered wrong. The service was efficient. You sit outside the truck and parking is kinda awful. The product is fresh and the quality is great! Shooter Sampler-while the description says it has chili in it, I was not prepared for the amount of heat that made me cry. The flavor was delicious, kinda big and clunky for shooting. It made my stomach turn unfortunately. Oysters- better than the shooters says my husband, I wouldn’t try it cause it still had the chili on it. Tostada Special- this was my favorite, lots of crab, shrimp and octopus however the sauce took it Asian and was an overpowering flavor.

Good lord, I can't believe this is a food truck. This place is serving what I would consider to be Michelin quality. As an extreme foodie, I have been searching high and low for good mariscos, and I think I've found it!!! I ordered the Mango Habanero Aguachile and a Baja Fish Taco. Both were the best I've had in LA, let alone anywhere 🤯 The aguachile was better and fresher than what I've had at 106 Underground Seafood and Mexico. I would even say that it is better than the places my aguachile-loving foodie friend from Mexico has taken me. I was talking to one of the locals waiting for their food, and they said they made their dad come here. Hell, I'd bring my parents here too 😂 The prices are above average, but it is a small price to pay for a memorable, mind-blowing experience. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends here 😋

Google
It's a very spacious and will designed food truck with about 6 tables with umbrellas for shade. The staff knows their ingredients and food. Stand out for me it's the aqua chile negro, the specific chile was warm yet refreshing.

5 months old taco truck, great Quality, and definitely very tasteful. You better not crave it too late as they are open from noon to 8pm. It’s definitely a mariscos on the bougee side. I asked for not spicy for dietary restriction but it was hella spicy. A bit unfortunate. My least favorite were the oysters they had in my opinion to much toppings on them for their size and you could not really taste the oyster. Other than that I will come back to try the tacos, filet mignon and lobster. Spicy also is la cuenta. A good spot to eat fresh, maybe will go back with a bigger party, to share a broader selection of their specialities. A one of a kind experience, enjoyable, and nicely crafted.

During a leisurely walk in the area, I stumbled upon Del Mar Ostioneria at lunchtime and decided to give it a try after reading the menu. A customer finishing their meal told me the food was great, and that sold me! I ordered the salmon ceviche, which came with chips, and I was not disappointed. The flavors were fresh and delicious. There were convenient seats by the food truck, and the upbeat soundtrack gave off beachy vibes, adding to the experience. Great food, atmosphere, and service – highly recommend!

Google
Was a bit taken aback that the place was a food truck and not an actual restaurant, but overall, I had a great time eating those tasty ceviches, keep in my the food portions are a bit on the smaller size, especially the auguachiles and ceviches

Google
My god, their Aquachiles and cerviches are delicious along with their blue shell tacos. You can order any and it doesn’t go wrong. I keep coming back to this place. The guys were great, very good service. The most important thing about this place is the authenticity of the food (freshness, seasoning, taste homemade). My only note to the business: as more gringos and gringas come to your truck, please keep your food spicy and authentic. I overheard a white woman talking to the cashier “last time I ordered an negro aquachile but it was too spicy” and heard her tell him to make it less spicy overall as a feedback to the food truck. No Karen — this food does not revolve around you and your knock off branded clothing. Couldn’t not believe how many single brain cell karens out here in LA. One doesn’t need to google aguachile to know there’s a pepper involved…. plus the funniest thing about it is that it’s not that spicy at all. The weak will complain the most, and will try to water down the food. Let them dine at Taco Bell and watered down taco shops. More table space for those who will keep coming back your food for the delicious food it is.

I’m from Ensenada, the ceviche is good, comes in chunky pieces. That taco is good. Ask to have the sauce aside if you don’t used to eat spicy food. It was a ready really fast. 😎👍👍👍👍

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and fresh seafood! I ordered the mango habanero Aguachiles and they were extremely flavorful with the perfect level of spice. I am excited to go back and try more. I highly recommend.

Yelp
5 stars. Taste, Quality, Price, Welcoming atmosphere. Del Mar impressively has found a way to harmonize these factors, in a time where quality can take a back seat to atmosphere, or monetization. I recommend... The Following 1. Kanpachi Ceviche: 5 stars Yellowtail cuts: smooth buttery Flavor Profile: Savory, sweet, tangy, spicy, clean, fresh Overall mouthwatering and it just smoothly chews down, while it puckers your palette and gently heats your tongue for an acidic but flavorful zesty finish. 2. The Tostada Special: 5 stars Fresh Crab, uniquely trimmed for texture Octopus, Shrimp. Firm but delicate. Flavor profile: Sweet, fresh, light, spicy, crunchy. A uniquely presented dish. Sphagettied fresh crab, lightly tossed in fresh, sauce that's sweet and creamy. The combinations really make your mind feel every ingredient distinctly. Bite it all at once! 3. The Fish Taco: 5 stars Thick large cut of buttery white fish Breaded slightly, crisped with guacamole It feels indulgent while also remaining fresh and light. I also had... Lobster Tacos - creamy and luxurious And shooters - flavor bursts, fresh And the Cocktail!!! All great, but the cocktail... Hard to come by without an abrasive acetic bitterness from an over ripened tomatoey base. Here it's refreshing. Once you eat the fish you'll drink the rest pleasantly. Those are my dish highlights ! Clean food is hard to come by. No let me rephrase this, Los Angeles in general has a problem with serving unclean food to their patron's. Clean food, that you can be excited to taste, that is served to you uniquely, and presented to you with creativity, elegance... and that leaves you feeling good after consuming it, is a scarce rarity. And to meet customers at a price point that allows such an experience to be grasped by most... It's rare... But it's a trend that I'm hoping to see more of. Chefs... individuality... and resources going straight into the cuisine. Del Mar serves cuisine. They serve taste, that is minimalistic but poignant towards what it's looking to achieve. Their style allows for their ingredients to speak, while moderately enhancing them with bold, distinct flavors. Upon arrival, you may be confused. You've arrived to a "truck", you may expect your food to come out quick and in a certain fashion or manner, however this is a "Made to order", establishment that serves a curated experience and every detail is thought out. You may find yourself searching for a certain kind of assortment of flavors that often accompany ceviche. Salts, hot sauces, etc... (And this isn't knock any other style) Nonetheless, here... you get something new, that also simultaneously grounds you to what you want out of ceviche style dishes. Texture, and freshness that satisfies the gradient of your palette, while you walk away feeling clean! These are warm caring human beings, and their love carries itself into the food. It's not just service when you come here, it's genuine care, it's warmth, it's integrity, that is setting a foundation for what our community in LA needs more of. Independence and uniqueness. 1 of 1's - Adding to the culture of LA in a positive way. I'd highly recommend giving them a visit! -Dude with Green Hat

Yelp
I was excited to try this place since I love lobsters and fish tacos. I ordered through Uber Eats, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance. I tried the lobster, fish, and surf and turf tacos. While they were tasty, they all had a similar flavor profile, making the overall experience feel a bit one-dimensional. It's worth trying once, but I'd recommend ordering just one taco along with another item for more variety.

Yelp
The food here was fresh, but some dishes missed the mark. The seafood lacked something special, and the steak taco was overpowered by cheese, masking the filet mignon's flavor. While the quality was good, the prices felt a bit too high for what was offered. There's potential, but a better balance of flavors and more reasonable prices would improve the experience.

Yelp
So nice I hit it twice. The Surf and Turf taco is truly what dreams are made of. I must admit, I was intrigued when I first saw the reviews and photos for this food truck. The quality looked amazing, so I went out of my way to visit while in LA. To my suprise, there was no line when I arrived and it was super chill sitting at the tables in front of the truck after I placed my order. Since this was my first visit, I wasn't sure how big the tacos were and at $10-$15 per taco, I asked for a little guidance. The woman working told me that one taco can fill someone up but order two only if you're really hungry. That was great advice, because ordering just one was perfect for me! I went with the Surf and Turf Taco because it sounded both a bit decadent while also being a marriage between both worlds of meat. The filet mignon was so tender and to my surprise, the lobster was plentiful and tasted so fresh. It didn't taste like it had been previously frozen at all, which is a common experience I've had while dining out. Additionally, the fried cheese blanket?! Insane chef's kiss! It kept the meat nestled in it's goodness and was a delicious discovery in each bite, coupled with the blue corn tortilla and avocado. It was seriously one of my best bites of 2024. I came back the next day because I felt it was worth tasting one of the most delicious things I've ever put it my mouth once again. But this time, I made sure to arrive starving because I really wanted to try the fish taco since so many of the reviews raved about it too. Between the fish taco and the surf and turf, I'd go for the surf and turf again anytime over the fish taco. That's no shade to the fish taco - ample fish, fresh and flavorful batter - delicious. It's just that the surf and turf was still haunting me and satisfied me in a way that I don't think I'll be able to replicate elsewhere. Overall, this was such an amazing plan to dine! They deserve all of their flowers!

Yelp
Usually I would be very skeptical and not want oysters from just any food truck but this place is legit and fresh ! Best prepared Oysters I have ever tasted. Lobster tacos very generous portion size. Service was quick . Ambiance is just a food truck that's clean and new. They have plenty of tables and chairs to sit outside. Can't wait to come back for more oysters ! THE BEST !

Yelp
Rivals that of the best seafood spots in Ensenada. The perfect LA bite - incredibly fresh seafood enjoyed Al fresco in a parking lot while salsa music plays and umbrellas block out the mid city sun. The aguachile negro was my favorite and reminded me of eating raw shrimp seaside on the Amalfi coast. Portions are massive and the value can't be beat. This place is going to pop off soon so get over there quick before lines are around the corner.

Yelp
This place was incredible! We got the surf and turf taco, the baja fish taco, the salmon ceviche, and the kanpachi ceviche. I think I would skip the salmon next time (fresh and still good but a little bland compared to the other items we got). Everything else was delicious and the portions were generous. - Baja fish taco was not at all greasy/oily despite being fried fish, and pico de gallo was very good. - On the surf and turf, the lobster was buttery and didn't skimp, and the filet was well cooked - not tough or overdone. - Kanpachi was the standout for me if I had to pick one - great tartness from the marinade and fish was perfect. Can't wait to try more items.

Yelp
This is the best of food truck dining. It's parked safely inside a strip mall lot next to All Season Brewery (where the networking meetups are) and across from Goodwill (where my friend likes to shop). Meaning parking is easy and there are other things to do on this block. And *most importantly* there is somewhere to sit and enjoy the food right there while it's fresh and ready. I should have taken photos of the umbrella shaded patio furniture but I was busy snarfing down the tostada (no photo!) and the surf and turf taco (see photo, big enough for 2 to share). My friend also got an oyster shooter. 10/10 would come back. I'm thankful my friend has a well-researched list of new foodie spots and I can tag along! #freeparking #outdoorseating

Yelp
Delicious, fresh high quality mariscos served out of a truck. I forgot during my recent visit, I only ordered a fish taco, but I can already see and taste the high-level quality here. The service was great - friendly and helpful. The vibe is pretty chill with some seating around the truck in a lot. We just know that this food is at an elevated level and will take time to prepare. If you're expecting fast food out of a truck, then you're going to the wrong place. This place really is kind of like a café just disguised as a truck. I ordered the fish taco and it was a generous size with fantastic ingredients, with great flavors and textures. Definitely want to come back to try some other other menu items. If you're looking for some high-quality delicious mariscos, this is your spot. I found parking a couple blocks away. I was in the area for something else, but saw this pop up on my radar side. I decided to walk over here. Depending on the time of day parking couldbe tricky.

Yelp
Delicious, Fresh, and Bursting with Flavor! I had the pleasure of trying this spot, and wow, the food exceeded my expectations! The dishes in the photos speak for themselves: 1 Shrimp Aguachile - The shrimp was incredibly fresh and marinated perfectly with just the right amount of tang and spice. The avocado slices and crisp red onions added a nice balance to the citrusy kick. Paired with the tostadas, it was a perfect bite every time. 2 Imitation Crab Salad - Light, refreshing, and loaded with flavor. The shredded crab was seasoned with a creamy dressing, a hint of spice, and topped with perfectly ripe avocado slices. The lime on the side added a nice citrus pop to bring it all together. Both dishes were vibrant, fresh, and satisfying--definitely worth coming back for. If you're into seafood and bold flavors, this place is a must-visit!

Yelp
The lobster taco and the surf and turf taco are unreal. Actually better than almost every lobster roll I've ever eaten. Ceviche was also excellent. Definitely recommend getting a bite here before you go to all seasons brewery next-door.

Yelp
found out about this place from Youtube so we decided to try it. the place itself is actually a food truck, and the plaza they operate out of is very small and they only have two dedicated parking spots for customers which kinda sucks, so street parking it is. there's tables and chairs outside the truck. first impression was that the food was super expensive upon looking at the menu (i.e. $10-14 for one taco). however, we ordered one baja fish taco, one lobster taco, and a 1/2 dozen of the oysters. the fish taco was actually really good, but the lobster taco had a big piece of shell or cartilage in every bite which made it a not so enjoyable experience. oysters were good and fresh. they also dont give out cups of tap water which is sad. service was okay. honestly based on everything I don't think I would come back here.

Yelp
I was out exploring on a Sunday ! When I run into this amazing seafood food truck. Rick the owner is such a darling guy. Had me try a shooter oyster. Which it was so delicious! I had to try more... I order the ceviche raw shrimp! The presentation and the flavors were so amazing!! Highly recommend this place to my seafood fans!! If there was more stars to give I would give more. Customer service amazing!! Food Amazing!!! Ambiance is chill !!

Yelp
Driving up to this place its located in a wedding chapel plaza, the truck is a beige brown and they have a couple seating areas around the truck. The service was nice and the food didnt take long to come out. Everything on the menu looked delicious. When i ate the food it wasnt what i was expecting, it wasnt bad but the flavors werent there.

Yelp
Top shelf seafood, and not just for a food truck! Oysters, Ceviche, and Fish Tacos all hit. Definitely will be back
google avatar

Kathy X.

Yelp
This place is incredible! Their tacos are fresh, quality, and yummy! I tried the surf and turf taco, which has this delicious cheesy crust. At first, the tacos seemed kinda expensive, but it's a really big taco stuffed with fresh seafood, and it truly is worth the money. I also tried the ceviche, which was really great and fresh as well. I prefer the tacos and will be ordering more tacos and skipping on the ceviche next time, but it's definitely worth trying. It's restaurant quality and unexpected from a food truck.

Yelp
10/10 would come here again. In fact, if I was in the hospital, this is the food I want my boo to sneak in. Absolutely Divine Aguachile and ceviche! Got the 1. Aguachile negro: 10/10 mouthwatering 2. Aguachile tamarindo: 10/10 I didn't expect to like this as much as I did 3. Mango Ceviche: 9.5/10 delicious 4. Shooter sampler: yummy but portion was a bit small, I would rather get another Aguachile next time 5. Lobster taco: 9/10 delicious with a nice amount of lobster! However, I was just addicted to the aguachile so I prefer to fill my stomach with more of that shrimp on crack Seating: There were 4 tables of 2 in front of the food truck and more tables on the side underneath really cute canopies that make me think of European sidewalk dining. Parking: - Shares a small lot with a chapel and a couple other businesses - car turnover in the lot was decent such that there was always 2 empty parking spots available despite the steady stream of customers TDLR: Don't ask just eat, you can't go wrong here. Actually, on decime thought, don't come. I'm totally addicted and I don't want the line to be too long when I come back for my fix, lol

Yelp
A seafood experience unlike any other, this place is absolutely incredible. If you've never tried it prepared to be blown away!! An amazing team that consistently delivers a true culinary experience . The menu boasts the freshest cuts of delicious sashimi, each slice a testament to their commitment to quality. The ceviche is a masterpiece, bursting with vibrant flavors that dance on your palate. And the tacos - they're simply the most incredible you'll ever taste, with each bite revealing layers of expertly prepared seafood and perfectly balanced toppings. I fell in love with this place the moment I discovered it. The combination of exceptional people, impeccable service, and a delicious fresh flavorful fish and food makes it a must-visit. I find myself returning at least three times a week, and each visit is as delightful as the last. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or a newcomer, this restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience that will keep you coming back for more.

Yelp
Tried the octopus ceviche and lobster taco and both were delicious! I loved the kick in the ceviche and it was super fresh. The lobster taco was amazing! The tortilla was perfect and they hand make them! 4 stars since it is a bit pricey, but would definitely come back to try their other items! The staff was super nice and brought our food to us outside too. Food truck located in a small plaza with some parking. There are a few tables outside the truck to dine at.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't need to tell you how amazing the food is-- there are plenty of other reviews for that. Yes, the seafood is fresh and delicious. What makes it a great experience is the passion that is evident amongst the whole team about their food. They really care about their product and you can almost taste it. Just talk to them about their dishes and you'll see what I mean. Feels good supporting this small business. Almost as good as how the food feels in my belly

Priscilla ..

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Tostada especial was large and full of crab meat and shrimp with a great creamy sauce. The recommended aguachile negro was a 10/10. The oysters were topped with ponzu which we loved. The surf and turf taco had a nice bed of cheese on the handmade tortilla and was so soft. Lastly the kampachi was buttery and perfect with the tostadas they offered on the side. We got lucky and there happened to be no one in line. A beautiful, calm lunch on a hot fall day! Sidenote: truck was so sparkly clean! Service was so efficient, music was great and cant wait to be back.

America T.

Yelp
I order for delivery for the first time and wow I'm impressed on how good and fresh it taste 10/10 I had the aguachil negro
google avatar

Daniel P.

Yelp
Del Mar Ostioneria exceeded my expectations with their great options! I had their lobster taco, complete with a delectable chipotle sauce that added the perfect kick. It was in a purple tortilla covered in a blanket of grilled cheese. The kampachi ceviche offered a refreshing twist with its tangy flavors. I highly recommend this one. The tamarind habanero aguachile provided a delightful balance of sweet and spicy notes. The sauce was incredibly addicting. I want to go back to try the other aguachiles; if it's your first time I recommend trying another aguachile even though this one was delicious. The high quality of ingredients truly shone through in every bite, making it a dining experience to remember. The environment of the restaurant is in a bit of a secluded parking lot. When it isn't packed it is perfect for a refreshing lunch. It was super clean and they come out of the truck to serve it, so the service and environment were great, especially considering it was at a truck. Would recommend and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Fresh seafood arrives daily at 11:00 am. They open at noon. Make sure to arrive early as they sell out as the day goes on. This food truck is located right inside the parking lot of the wedding chapel. Free but limited parking. Limited outside seating with umbrellas to keep you shaded. We arrived right before closing so we were very limited to what we can order. We got one tuna tar tar, two shrimp tacos, one fish taco and one seafood tostada. I was obsessed with the tuna tar tar. The tuna tasted sooo fresh dispute it being at the end of the day. It has a little kick too it too which I love. My fiancé really enjoyed their shrimp tacos. Nice staff and delicious food. Def will be coming back a little earlier next time to try other items on their menu.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
I know they are way over priced and the food is subpar 10 bucks for a taco give me a break seriously!!! You guys can do better than that!!
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Good seafood! Came here on a thursday night at 7pm and it wasn't packed at all. Come here before it gets too popular, because I can see this place blowing up. Shrimp Aguachile: I recommend waiting for the shrimp to marinate and cook in the lime juice first. When the platter first arrived the shrimp didn't taste as good but as the dinner went on the shrimp was sweeter and delicious at the end. Octopus Taco: Tender octopus, the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste but my friend enjoyed it the best. Sirloin Steak Taco: My favorite taco. Tender meat, yummy sauce, and cheese, you can't go wrong. Fish Taco: Not my favorite fish taco but you can tell the ingredients are very high quality. I think they need a hot sauce to add to this. Kanpachi Ceviche: Solid, not the best I had, but still fresh and tasty. Needs a hot sauce for sure!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Been getting the Kampachi Ceviche once a week the past 3-4 months + it's my favorite seafood dish in LA at the moment The flavor is great going down, but the aftertaste is even better :)

Eduardo O.

Yelp
Man this place checks all boxes , and speaks what LA is. Great vibe! Phenomenal food! If you haven't had you must go!

Yelp
This is the second time I've been here as an out-of-towner. These guys are incredibly friendly and because my dad and I both came from out-of-state, they added an extra taco to our order AND threw in an air freshener (which I still use in my car from the first time I've been). Can't recommend this place enough - some of the best tacos I've ever had. Great quality food.

Yelp
Amazing food and always consistent. The team / owners who run it are all cool too! Super fresh and tasty, hard to find this style anywhere else nearby

Yelp
I had such a great experience, food was authentic and the quality of the seafood was top tier and fresh. We ordered the classic agua chiles shrimp taco and the oysters. The service was great Rick helped me pick out options . The plates were good portions and the playlist was mood. Definitely returning back to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Similar to Holbox near USC if you've ever been. I think the tacos and ceviche are better here. One of the keys to their tacos are their homemade tortillas. The blue corn one is fantastic and was used for the lobster taco which I thought was the highlight. However, everything we ordered was great! And really a decent value too considering how generous they stuff their tacos. And their ceviche is fresh and flavorful with some kick, but not too much. See pics for what we ordered. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I have had a few items that are on the menu and nothing disappoints, Everything tastes very fresh. Workers are cool and friendly. The spot is a nice outdoor place to eat at.

Yelp
My mom had gone there 1st, and she loved the tacos. She wanted to bring me back. This food truck is good and in a nice location with, of course, outside dining, but a bit pricy. We ordered Halibut fish tacos and kanpachi (fish cervechi), a diet coke, and a regular Mexican coke. Everything is fresh and made to order. The tacos are good. I loved the avocado shells. Just know that the salsa is very spicy (harbonero peppers), and they dont tell you up front, so just a heads up say no salsa. The 2 staff people 1 could have been the owner, but they both were nice and friendly.

Yelp
Really impressed with the quality food and friendly service at this food truck with seating. The comparison here is with fine dining, it's on a level above other taquerias. We began with fresh and delicious oyster shots, moving on to the classic aquachile. The fish taco was the best selection, an enormous portion that was practically a meal in itself. The lobster taco was the runner-up, and will make you forget about lobster rolls (at least temporarily). The shrimp taco might have been the winner anywhere else. The only disappointment (slight) was the filet mignon taco, which was outshined by the seafood offerings, and was primarily ordered for the sake of this review. If you're not a seafood lover, well, maybe this place isn't for you.

Yelp
Food was flavor full but the quality of their customer service was inconsistent. I noticed the staff to be helpful in bringing out plates to certain clients, but not others.

Yelp

Yelp
I've been reading about this place and was happy to see it was within walking distance of my house. I took my 3 month old for a walk and stopped to have myself an early dinner. I wanted to try everything but decided on the salmon ceviche, fish taco, and Octopus taco. I was impressed with the presentation and surprised they brought my food out to the table I was sitting on. The salmon ceviche was very fresh, and I loved the diced cucumber and jalapeño. I saw another review say there's was too salty, but I did not have that experience. I actually would have liked a bit more salt, but I would order this again. The Octopus taco wasn't my favorite, but I wasn't expecting it to be battered and fried. It's my fault for not reading the description and just assuming. I'm obsessed with Holbox's Octopus tacos, which are grilled, and I was hoping it was more like that. I was surprised by the sweet sauce they had on it, but it was tasty. The fish taco was delicious. The batter was light and airy, and the toppings were refreshing and added a nice depth of flavor. I read a few reviews where people were complaining about spice, and I found nothing to be spicy at all, but I also love really spicy food. At one point, my baby started fussing, so I asked for a to go box as I hadn't finished my food. The nice woman who worked there then offered to hold my baby for me so I could finish my meal. You guys, as a single momma, this was SO appreciated!! She told me whenever I came back that if they weren't too busy, she'd watch him again. 5 star customer service for sure. Bottom line, yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality is very good, and I was stuffed and couldn't finish my food. For two tacos and a ceviche, it was $42 & I tipped $10. Not somewhere I can frequent often, but go when I want to treat myself like I did today. There is a sign up on the truck that says it's not fast food, and every order is made to order. I didn't have to wait long, but they did tell me that it was an unusually slow day for them. If you are on the fence, I would give it a try.
