Best Restaurants in Plano | Eater Dallas

"If a simple neighborhood sushi counter is what you crave, this is the spot. Talented sushi chefs put together specialty rolls and traditional classics like spicy tuna. There’s an ahi tower that will impress, and going for simple nigiri and sashimi is a solid choice because the fish here is excellent. The dining room has no frills — the thrills are saved for the food. This strip mall spot has plenty of parking out front, and it also offers online ordering." - Didi Paterno

Best Sushi Restaurants in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"For a good deal on no frills (okay, there are a lot of frills but we mean no frills like no caviar bumps) sushi, head to Plano and grab a table. While this spot serves all the basics out of its impressive sushi bar, it also does excellent sashimi salads, udon noodles, and stunt-y rolls that can be so much fun. Reservations are not required." - Rachel Pinn

The food here is always great. My husband and I have loved this place since 2020 and are proud return customers. We’ve been to several sushi spots, but this one remains our top choice. The Ahi Tower was excellent, but the roll could have been better—it needed to be fried more for extra flavor and texture. Surprisingly, the food took quite a while to be served this time.

My extended family had been craving sushi and our usual spot closed so we have been on the lookout for new sushi places to try out. One of my cousins had been here so we gave it a try. The wait staff was very attentive and what we didn't know was how big the portions are for their rolls. We ended up ordering way too much food and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. My daughter spilled some water and the staff was so patient and kind, they cleaned it up so quickly and brought lots of napkins to help. Regarding the food, I was surprised by how good the black cod was. We will definitely be back for more, as there are so many more dishes to try out.

Salmon tower was good. Hot pot meat wasn’t fully cooked. Sushi rolls were great

Just ordered and picked up my alone Star roll and I am very disappointed. The roll was full of oil and put right onto the styrofoam container that way. I actually had to move my rolls to the other side after putting a layer of paper towels down to absorb some of the oil as you can see on the photos attached. In addition, the miso soup was simply brought with no seaweed nor any tofu in it at all This used to be my favorite place. I have no idea what happened to the quality. I want a refund upon opening tomorrow morning!

Google
We had a very sub-optimal experience with this restaurant. Specially after spending $100 for two adults and a kid, and we didn’t even order any drinks. They sent the wrong food and incomplete food some of the dishes were not good. Ordered a sushi roll (maki) and they sent a strange cone, the nigiri had wasabi in it and the kid couldn’t eat it, the beef don looked horrible and tasted meh, the beef was overcooked, hard and dry. The only thing we liked was the udon soup.

While between appointments, we stumbled upon a charming Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The inviting atmosphere immediately caught our attention, especially the family-friendly vibe and the option to dine on the patio, which was perfect for the sunny afternoon. Our server was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations without being overbearing. As for the food, it was flavorful and beautifully presented. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Yakisoba. Each dish was seasoned just right, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being overly complicated. The relaxed atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a casual lunch, with plenty of families enjoying their meals around us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that felt both welcoming and well-executed. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!

Google
This is one of my favorite sushi spots in town. I've been going here for years! I appreciate that after all these years, the establishment has not changed the prices much. The portion sizes and quality of the sushi has remained very consistent. Their food is always fresh, deliciously prepared, and generous for what you pay for. The service is always top notch and place is kept very clean as well. They have great lunch deals! I love this place and will always continue to support Densetsu.

Google
Food: The sushi at Densetsu is consistently amazing, and I’d easily rate everything a solid 4/5. My girlfriend and I are big fans of the Red Mountain and Butterfly Kiss rolls, with the Red Mountain being our go-to every time. This visit, we tried the Red Mountain, Butterfly Kiss, Salmon, Tuna, Hawaiian, Summer Breeze, and Seared Salmon rolls. While everything was fantastic, the Salmon roll stood out for me—the salmon was incredibly fatty and flavorful. Overall, another great meal, and I’d highly recommend the Red Mountain roll if you’re new here. Service: Service at Densetsu is always top-notch, earning a solid 4.5/5. The staff is attentive and makes sure waters are filled consistently, creating a great dining experience every time. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is pretty standard, nothing particularly remarkable, but I do appreciate how the entire staff greets you as you walk in. It adds a nice welcoming touch, so I’d give the ambiance a 3.5/5.

Yelp
The seating is limited here, but the food and service never disappoints. The highlight was the Agadeshi Tofu and Caviar Mix over rice. So beautiful and delicious!

Yelp
My mother had frequently been here for lunch since she works nearby and has good things to say. I happened to be in the area, so the family decided to get lunch here on a weekend day. The place got fairly full inside around 12:30. There is outdoor seating too but not always available depending on the temperature. We were greeted by all the staff upon walking in, and service throughout was great! We really felt taken care of. The food was also commendable. I just wish they would have more plant protein options like tofu in their entrees as there are limited vegetarian let alone vegan options here. Options aside, what they do offer was delicious. We tried the tonkatsu bento box ($14) and the tempura udon ($16) which normally comes with shrimp and veggie tempura. They were able to substitute the shrimp tempura with more veggie tempura, which was nice. Portions were quite good for the price. The bento box components tasted good, although the accompanying sauces were a bit strong/salty. The udon and tempura tasted amazing, crispy, and fresh, and I would definitely get them again.

Yelp
Densetsu has been in business a long time and it was busy on a Sunday night. I had been there before but it had been several years. I couldn't remember much about it. We ordered edamame and a big bowl arrived. I ordered sushi and my friend had teriyaki steak and chicken. When I received my roll I remembered why I don't come here. The rolls are HUGE. You cannot eat them in one or two bites. And three bites of sushi with chopsticks is a real mess. That is not my style of sushi . My friend's teriyaki chicken and steak was smothered in sauce. It looked like gravy. Not his or my style either. Don't think we will be back.

Yelp
With a calming atmosphere where you can watch your sushi be rolled or watch any of their TVs, Densetsu is by far my favorite sushi place to eat at. We love their baked sushi (specifically the dynamite roll) and really all of their food is delicious. The service is very friendly and always helpful when you have questions!
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
Great quality, great service, great music. Food exceeded our expectations! Tried the Densetsu roll (loved the crunchy onion bits), red dragon (10/10!!), and spicy sirloin entree. They also gave us fresh oranges for dessert. Recommend for a casual, delicious meal!

Yelp
Have been coming here for years so I was surprised that I haven't written a review yet! I will start out by saying the rolls are massive! So filling and delicious. The servers kept checking on us and were super attentive. The place is small, but it's good to come during lunch. Weekend dinners are super busy. Love this place!
google avatar

Yelp
I can't believe it took me this long to try this place. Came here for lunch on a weekend and was surprised that they have a lunch menu available. I'm a sucker for value, so this is a win already. Ended up with a bento box, sashimi combination, and one roll (I think heavenly roll if I remember correctly). The sashimi and heavenly roll came first, and both were delightful. The bento was also very enjoyable and came with sides and a cup of soup. Service was very good too. I came there close to their closing time, and not once I felt being rushed. When the check came, they also provided cut oranges! I'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
Wow! Iv been to plenty of sushi restaurants and this is the one to top. (Iv been to plenty) What makes this place the best, is the generous portions, the taste and the amazing display of sushi. This has been the only time where the plate of sushi felt like dinner plate of food and just sushi samplers. The staff was polite and friendly. The place was clean. The only thing I could wish for... is more space. I felt too close to the neighboring table. This place was great! Im making it my go to sushi home. Job job y'all

Yelp
Good service, large portions, tempura vegetables light and crisp. Nicely sized salads. Nice ambiance.

Yelp
Visiting the area for a work trip and found this place here on Yelp! It's a small restaurant with room for 10 people at the sushi bar and dining room big enough for 35-40z they also have an inclosed outdoor patio with more seating as well. Getting seated was quick and the staff was amazing! They have a large selection of food, but I came for the sushi, which they also had a large selection of. I got an assortment of sushi and it was ALL fresh and delicious! The presentation of the sushi on the plate was great and the cost was reasonable. I highly recommend coming in for some GREAT sushi if you are around.

Yelp
First time here, I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento and volcano roll. The salmon teriyaki bento had a large slice of salmon with a delicious sweet teriyaki sauce I really enjoyed. The salmon itself wasn't amazing, but with the sauce and rice it came together well. It also came with a fresh salad with some sesame dressing and 2 deep fried gyoza. The fried gyoza was delicious! For $15 this was pretty good, and a large size. This tastes better than Shiawase in my opinion. The volcano roll was pretty good, but they added the tuna on top in a meatball form which I am not a personal fan of. The salmon on the sushi was good and the sauces were flavorful though! Service was really great! The food came out fast and fresh and I never had to ask for anything. They were friendly too. The ambiance is like a simple Japanese restaurant, clean and simple. Not too fancy but not too shabby either. Will some back for some fast and good Japanese food!

Yelp
So yummy ! We also got the gyozas which were slight crisped and so flavorful . Gonna come here more often. Service was quick as well

Yelp
Came early to beat the crowd. Very delicious. I will be bringing my family back with me next time!

Yelp
The service was super fast. My server was super nice and funny. The food was great, cucumber rolls are super good there. There is also a nice feel in the restaurant. Great post game meal

Yelp
I know good sushi and this was not it. I Had Chirashi. The fish was not very fresh, kind of mealy and only had 6 small slices of fish. I ordered Mixed tempura. It was greasy and I could tell the oil was old. I had the pink dragon roll the fish MEH and had too much phony Krab and had miniscule tempura shrimp inside. Who thinks this place is any good does not know what good sushi is. Well, I will scratch this place off my list never to return.
google avatar

Gabriel V.

Yelp
Quaint place, as most sushi places are, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Seated immediately and service was prompt. Really enjoyed the food and it came quickly.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Great service! I only ordered sashimi and coffee mochi. They do have fresh wasabi. Bento boxes do not offer sushi options. Lunch pricing was higher than anticipated for location and quality. Sushi was bland. Mochi was frost bitten or freezer burned. No WiFi here. I did not try rolls. So they may have more flavor. But I am a fresh sushi girl! Note: I went for lunch on Monday after fasting for a blood draw. I realize not all sushi places are great Monday.

Yelp
The sushi here did not disappoint!!! Hailing from LA, where Japanese food abounds, I wasn't sure how this restaurant would line up but was very satisfied. Ordered: Cherry Blossom Sushi (4.5/5) the sauce had a unique ponzu vinaigrette that paired so nicely with the sushi!! Big avocado and salmon filling with fresh tuna on top. Yuuuummmm!! Light and fresh. Lion King (4.5/5) salmon and shrimp tempura, tell me a tastier combo hehe. The sauce wasn't overpowering and the California roll part was really good. Tempura was crispy and the salmon fat ^^ Edamame (3/5) it was good, just basic salted edamame Service was very polite and plenty of parking in front. Densetsu did not lose to Cali! Also, they gave cute oranges at the end and I so miss that at restaurants.

Yelp
This is my to go place, I have tried lots of items from their menu and I really suggest the red mountain roll, so delicious and huge portion!

John D.

Yelp
I like this place very much, but last night, I ordered the katsudon and it wasn't so great. The pork was thin and stringy; the sauce was too sweet; there was hardly any egg on it. A lot of rice. But like I said, I like this place very much. Just stay away from the katsudon.

N N.

Yelp
Went here several years ago. Wanted to try again but was a little worried because some said the service has gone downhill. But we were pleasantly surprised that service was great and food was awesome. Rolls are big enough that we could've ordered 2 per person and not had an entree. Will go again and to other recommended places.
google avatar

Nghi N.

Yelp
Pricey, but the portions, freshness of the sushi, and amazing house sauces are all usually amazing and are the reasons why my family keep visiting this place for the best sushi in the area!! We love the red dragon, red mountain, jay's favorite, and cherry blossom rolls. :)
google avatar

Connor B.

Yelp
My experience at Densetsu was great! The rolls are humongous, so you can definitely order fewer rolls than at most sushi joints. I typically order 4-5 rolls and here I would order only 3. Good selection and great service. It seemed like there were a lot of families which was nice to see! The only issue I had is that the rolls, despite being huge, are mostly filled with crab mix, which is tasty but seems like it's driven by cost (more crab= less of the more expensive fish). That said, I think if you're trying to feed a family, this is a very cost-effective option as far as sushi goes.

Yelp
How does this place measure up? I hope you're sitting down for this one! THE PLACE It's lean, adequate seating. Nicely decorated. It has a lot of lighting on the inside. Definitely not a dimly lit/ intimate place. They played modern music instead of something more cultural. Even though the lighting and music kind of disappointed me, the experience definitely makes up for it. THE STAFF Very friendly. They got our orders right. Very attentive to drink refills. Food was prepared and came out quickly. THE FOOD OK! Here we go! We ordered: 1) The Popcorn... fried crawfish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 2) Edamame... very tasty 3) Miso soup... it was ok 4) Baked salmon rolls (sushi)... HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5) Sesame chicken... good 6) Dynamite Roll... HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THE PRICES With all that we ordered, the bill came up to $75. I think it was fair and it was money well-spent. OVERALL If you're familiar with my reviews, I'm hard on places... I'm brutally honest, but I'm fair. If I give five stars, dog-gone-it, it's worth it! I think the biggest thing to report here was the food portions. This was the first place to really impress me. There was enough food to take home... AND it was good! Everything had good flavor and good presentation If you are ever in Preston near Coit Rd., check this place out!!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
The worst place ever I order one food they brought me different one I explained again they brought me very different I explained very clear But no owner son blaming me like it's my fault saying I don't believe you I believe this young guy He was so rude saying you van leave On top that they keep laughing like I am some kind of clown It wad so embarrassing

Olivia M.

Yelp
Small place so make sure you are okay with waiting if it's busy. But worth the wait. The food and service is great!
google avatar

Gabriel J.

Yelp
Our 2nd time here. Got to say we love this place. Everyone is so friendly and food is amazing! The atmosphere is quiet and it feels welcoming. Definitely my favorite place in DFW are to get sushi!

Yelp
Always has great service and the sushi is superb fresh present and the presentation is wonderful.

Yelp
Got take out for lunch from here - it was a super cute interior and even though they were very busy they were still very nice and promptly took care of their take out customers! I got the Angry John Roll and the Sushi Omakase: The Angry John roll was DELICIOUS and HUGE! It was such a filling roll with a generous amount of fish. I would order it again! The flavors and spiciness paired very well together to have a great combination in every bite. The Sushi Omakase had 10 different pieces of nigiri to try which was awesome! The quality of some fish didn't seem too high, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the roll. I definitely would come back and focus more on the rolls they have rather than the sashimi/nigiri, but overall it was pretty good!
google avatar

Thao T.

Yelp
The sashimi was delicious- very fresh and a good size cut. The baked dynamite roll was disappointing. California roll on the bottom wasn't warm, it was cold. Tasted really odd at first and was like.. it's missing something. Where's the spicy mayo on the side?
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard good things so I stopped in here recently for a quick late lunch. Love that they do not close in the middle of the day like most sushi joints. The salmon tower caught my eye on the menu so I decided to splurge and order it as my meal. The presentation was very *wow* ...the meal once they do their fork smashing deal in front of you...massive. Enough for 3 meals maybe. Love the amount of food they give you at least you know you will have leftovers. Also a great thing to share if you're with others before ordering other items. The salmon itself wasn't the best I'd had, and the tower had a sweet sauce on it I could have done without. It was tasty but not something I'd rush to order again. Honestly I enjoyed the orange at the end probably more than the dish. I'd also likely take it to go next time as opposed to dining in. I'll give it another chance, perhaps go with someone who is a fan and knows what to order!

Yelp
Let me take you to my favorite sushi spot in Plano, TX (Dallas area), Densetsu. Having grown up in areas with fresh sushi, while in Dallas I had to try many places to find a good sushi spot. Densetsu ended up being that spot! Not only does everything consistently taste fresh and delicious, but they have a wide variety of apps, rolls, bento boxes, salads, noodles, rice bowls, traditional entrees, combo entrees, a kid's menu, and more! And all of their dishes are beautifully presented as well. They have great deals here too! They currently have two lunch time sushi bar specials - a Sushi Combination ($15.95) and Sashimi Combination ($19.95), as well as eight different lunch time bento box specials, ranging from $12.95-$16.95. With flavors and prices like these, this is a spot you don't want to miss!

Yelp
Food is good, serving sizes are average. Quality is average. Servers were friendly and nice. Also, not many seating inside so not ideal for big parties. Overall, it was an ok experience. Also the presentations on some of the dishes were subpar, like the sashimi combos served on a very plain dish.

Yelp
First off I want to say that my two stars is strictly an average from our service (1 star) and the taste of the food (in my opinion of course 3 stars); I honestly rated this place LOWER than normal reviews because of the service and the way my friend and I were treated; but my reviews are usually rated on an average or just taste of food. My best friend and I came here for lunch last week with our kiddos. It was us two and four kids; we asked to sit on the patio because you know eating with small kids you never know what you're gonna get; lunch could be good or bad; so we didn't want to disrupt other people. This place is somewhat small, nice decor, nice size menu. Pricing is kinda in the middle of decent and high. Portions are ok on some dishes not great on others. Service was well.....I've never been treated this way ever with dining out. The business is Korean owned; most people don't realize I am Korean. And well this was very disappointing for me. When me and my bestie go eat we go big. We like to order lots of food. We ordered lots of nigiri, poke salad, the mussels, a few rolls, crispy spicy tuna, kids meals, etc. I've definitely had better sushi; the food is edible. Out of everything I got the sweet shrimp nigiri and the crispy tuna was the best. The poke salad was false advertisement; very little fish tons of avocado and TOMATOES! The mussels were over cooked to a disappointing stage. The rolls and other nigiri were like most places around town; good but not great. When we sat down; being a waitress/bartender for over 10 years back in my youth; I make it a point to always tip generously and always order at once and ask for everything upfront so I'm not running my waitress ragged. We had two young ladies wait on us; and when we put in our order I asked for the kids chopstick helpers and chopsticks from the get go. They never brought them and I had to ask like 5 times before one of them did. And every time they brought out a dish to our table they'd just plop it on the end where we had to get up or reach over to get it; even when they announced the dish and I or my friend was like oh that goes to us they'd plop it on the side. They weren't slammed; it was a light lunch flow; they barely came to check on us and they just kept acting like we were an inconvenience to them for being there; they were not friendly at all. I don't know if they both were having an off day or that they saw two moms bummed down with more kids than adults and assumed we were gonna be a not worth it table tip wise.... I don't really know. But if this is how they normally treat customers; I don't want any part of it. And on top of that they added gratuity; and wasn't going to tell us; I looked it over and was like the tips on there; then she came saying they added gratuity. They messed up both ways.... We would've still tipped more than the gratuity even though they were not nice to us and I won't be back to give business to this place. I love leaving great reviews on my eating adventures; but this one really was a terrible experience. You give off what you put out there in a sense and after 10 minutes of just not being treated appropriately it ruined our whole meal. I really hope they do better with customer service. (Usually I take tons of photos and share on social media; but I hardly took any here)

Wendy T.

Yelp
Awesome surprise of a gem! The food was exceptional and delicious, pleasing to the eye, huge servings and reasonable prices. Service was impeccable! Good choice to celebrate our Anniversary dinner!
google avatar

Jerry K.

Yelp
I love this place. Not as cheap as it used to be, but you get a lot for your money. Huge rolls, great service, and a very fresh product!.
google avatar

Nadia V.

Yelp
Sit at the bar for a little extra entertainment. The sushi chefs are easy going and friendly even if they're busy. I wasn't expecting the quality of sushi we got at Densetsu - it exceeded my expectations. Don't judge the place for its strip center location; it is laid back but it's high quality. Service was mediocre - but in fairness - the waiter told us it was his first day. Kudos to him for being honest. I'd definitely go back when in the area. What to order? Everything. Order an appetizer and watch the plates hover over the sushi bar to tables ... you'll get it. You're gonna want it all.
google avatar

James Z.

Yelp
Edit: After going back a few times over the past year or so, the quality seems to have gone down. The tempura appears to be fried in old oil and has this smell, almost like a hospital. Specialty rolls have been ok but strong on the sauces. Have gotten stomach aches after the last few visits.
google avatar

Carla L.

Yelp
Food and service was good. We loved the hamachi and spicy tuna roll. The seaweed salad was tasty and the gyoza crispy. My husband liked the spicy scallop roll. We will definitely be coming back. The lemon martini was delicious. The soft shelled crab appetizer was huge. I would have preferred less batter.
google avatar

Dylan H.

Yelp
I really loved this restaurant! I got the Ahi Tuna tower and angry John's roll and it was soo much food and tasted really fresh! The service was very friendly the waiter recommended some really great options, and each dish was beautiful! The atmosphere was quiet and very intimate. My girlfriend got a sour apple margarita it was strong but really good! Overall I had a great experience at this restaurant and did not go home hungry!
google avatar

Kristal W.

Yelp
I got Oyakko Don, which is pan fried chicken with onions, egg and rice. It was good but it could have used just a tad more flavor. I didn't put any soy sauce on it so I will for my leftovers. It may give it the kick it needs. The California Roll was very fresh. I know it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with this but it's better than any place I've ever had. Miso soup was good but not pictured and salad. I would definitely go back just for the rolls.

Susan G.

Yelp
We were not blown away. Sushi was ok, but not spectacular. And they brought the cut oranges to other tables with the check, but not ours. Not sure why but seemed odd. Not sure we'll be back.

Yelp
We went for dinner here to celebrate our son's birthday. Posted on their front door entrance is "Face Mask Required. No Mask. No Service." We requested for an outside patio table, we got the last table available out of only four patio dining tables. As soon as we get to their patio and about to seat on our designated table, I saw a big bug crawling on our dining table. The server tried to sweep it with his serving towel and it went down the floor. This Japanese restaurant doesn't have an outdoor patio "bug zapper" in spite of having pricey menu, We ordered Shrimp and Veggies Tempura, ($18.95) with salad, miso soup and white steamed rice. Cherry Blossom ($18.95) roll, Chicken Teriyaki ($15.95) with steamed rice, miso soup and veggie salad, Shrimp Shumai ($6.95), two pieces of fresh water eel sushi ($5.95). Their shrimp tempura and veggies had four pieces of shrimp covered by big slices of fried veggies served on a large plate. It's greasy. The grilled chicken teriyaki was sliced so thin. It's dry, hard and bland. The teriyaki sauce covers the meat just for taste. The shrimp shumai was steamed, taste ok like the one I used to buy frozen from Asian Supermarkets. The eel sushi is bland, you need to dip it in soy sauce to taste. Service is fast. Serving staff always come and ask if we're ok, but never bother to check if the green tea they served is hot or just lukewarm. Never bother to refill my glass of water with lemon. I wonder why there's no local Japanese customers dining-in during the time that we were there for dinner. This place was packed when we're about to leave. I would conclude that this restaurant is overrated.
google avatar

Shelley F.

Yelp
Densetsu is self-proclaimed as the "Best Sushi in Plano." While I don't think it's quite the best, I'd still say it's a job solid spot for sushi! I had the lunch special and Red Mountain roll. I'd say the qualify of the fish on the nigiri is what I'd expect for the price. The miso soup was good, but the salad was too vinegary for my liking. The Red Mountain roll was MASSIVE and filling, but i felt like the rice was just a tad too sweet.
google avatar

Ujin H.

Yelp
Yum yum yum. So glad we tried place because it was so great. The casual atmosphere was comfortable, and the service was fast, nice and thoughtful. The calamari & tempura were crispy, Spicy Murphy was so delicious (still thinking about it), and the ribeye steak teriyaki entree was an awesome deal! We loved it and will be back!!

Yelp
While in the area running some errands, my mom and I were craving some sushi. I didn't do a ton of research before picking this place but saw it had a high rating so why not give it a try? The restaurant was pretty packed when we arrived but we were still able to be seated immediately. With it being a small sized restaurant, the tables are very close together so there's not a ton of privacy. Someone came by and grabbed our drink order and then a short while later a different person came by to take our food order and offer some help with the menu. Staff was friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty extensive i would say. They not only have a large selection of sushi but they also have regular entrees such as noodles, rice bowls and more! Everything tasted really good and fresh. I'm still experimenting with my taste for sushi so im not an expert by any means but if the pieces of the roll are too big for one bite it's really off-putting for me. I'm sorry! The California roll was the only roll that had pieces that weren't the size of my hand, literally. The rolls were very hard to manage lol That being said, now knowing this, i have a better idea of what to order and would likely return.

Yelp
Last night, I stopped by Densetsu for dinner. There is plenty of parking in front of the building when you arrive. When we were seated, we ordered the miso soup, which was delicious on a cold winter day. We also ordered the spicy tuna roll, which had a reasonable level of spice, the California hand roll, which was excellent, and the Ahi tuna tower, which was a little sweeter but had high quality ingredients. The waiter even created an ahi tuna tower heart for us and mixed the ingredients. I can't wait to visit Densetsu again in the future.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and this place has been nothing by phenomenal. However, today (6-27-2022) has been the most disappointing and upsetting. The ahi tower is absolutely lacking tuna. You're essentially paying $22 for one long thin slice of chewy tuna chopped up in 9 pieces with a pile of rice/imitation crab meat. The proportion is way off, as well as quality, and it wasn't like this before. The kids chicken teriyaki is chewy as well and you're literally just ingesting the sauce. I'm just hoping this is an off Monday the restaurant is having because this is enough to deter any customer.
