"Chicagoans can live their best lives at this swanky rooftop lounge and bar in the Gold Coast. Devereaux, located up high on the 18th floor of the Viceroy Chicago, combines sophisticated design with sweeping sightlines. The food and beverage program is equally impressive, boasting expertly crafted cocktails and elevated refreshments like truffle deviled eggs and Maine lobster sliders. There’s even a pool for those hot summer days." - Naomi Waxman, Ashok Selvam

"Devereaux is the rooftop bar at the Viceroy (also home to Somerset, one of the best restaurants in Chicago). This place has an upscale art deco atmosphere, and in the summer they open the terrace. Plus, you can get snacks and small plates from Somerset’s kitchen - making this a more enjoyable place to stand around in your dressy clothes than most other spots in the Gold Coast." - Adrian Kane

Cute rooftop, great vibe. The service was polite but pretty slow. We had to ask for our waiter to bring us water. Liked the calamari.

Cool, chill out spot until mid evening. After about 8 o'clock the crowd changes a bit & it 'turns up'. Not rowdy , just more lively. Really good drinks and small plates. The view is amazing in any direction and the city lights are dazzling! Really wanted to jump in the pool! Staff is very attentive, even the security staff is helpful.

Food- decent to average bar food. Drinks- disappointed, They fill their glass up with ice, less variety, and there are much better cocktail bars in Chicago. Their bartenders are not generous on their pours. Service - was good, servers were polite. Views- good. Overall- an Okay experience. Would i go back? Maybe not. Given you can get better drinks elsewhere and that there’s plenty of rooftops in the city.

Pretty place, nice views. The food was quite good, spinach and artichoke dip and the salmon ceviche were very good. Service was quite slow. Drinks were not good whatsoever, and there ton of ice to cover up the fact that they give you a quarter of liquid. La vaquera tasted like cucumber w club soda.

I would make a reservation if you want to sit outside, be aware it's a $40 deposit that goes toward your bill to reserve a spot. Overall the rooftop was pretty small but great views from gold coast, the pool adds to some great ambiance at night. The fire pits and seating all around are great, but the seats are some of the most uncomfortable for a rooftop. Overall the drink selection is ok, but some frozen drinks make it fun on a nice night. If you have a group of 4 or more you can rent a fire pit. Overall we had fun but not sure if I'd come back, leaving it as a four star as service and location were a ton of fun, but unfortunately it wasn't anything special.

Bought a day pass on resortpass. For roughly the same cost as a ticket to the aquarium you can relax at the roof top pool. The unique views of the city and the surrounding architecture are what make this a great spot. Youll be able to take in views of the lake, and see some of the finer details of what makes Chicago architecture great. The breeze is nice, the setting is well thought out. The plants and small flowers placed throughout the roof top are pretty. The pool itself is small and its hard to tell from the photo. Its about only 3-4 ft deep and 15-20 feet in length. The pool heated up by around 1 but was cold in the morning. The food was good, cocktails are expensive but given the property it isnt out of line of what would be expected. The devereaux wont be open, but you will walk through it for the bathroom. There is a small separate bar for the pool. My plans werent for later in the day so this was a nice filler to relax. They also held my bags all day while I was out and about. The food was good! I would recommend the fish and chips over the fish tacos.

Been to Devereaux multiple times! Love the atmosphere, great place to sit and chill and relax and every time I have never been rushed out. Service was exceptional, Gavin the waiter was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had! Super pleasant and great conversationalist. The drinks were great to sip on. Great view.

This bar is amazing!!! Javi took great care of us. He is the best❤️ This place is a vibe. Check this place out. The drinks were good! The view is amazing! I would recommend making a reservation if you want the city views.

Yelp
Tl;dr: The cocktail class at Devereaux was AMAZING, the service here is incredible (especially Andy the bar manager), and I'm obsessed and will be recommending to everyone I speak to. I was looking to get my boyfriend a cocktail class for his birthday, but all the places I knew of didn't have dates that fit our schedule. I found Devereaux on Tock and found that they offer a relatively new cocktail class lead by the bar manager. It can accommodate like 10 or 15 people, but I booked it just for the two of us, and it ended up being a private class. For the class, we arrived before the bar opened at 3pm on a Sunday and the bar manager, Andy, taught us 3 basic cocktails - the Negroni, the old fashioned, and the gimlet. He was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to, and the cocktail choices were ones that I can easily make at home and modify slightly if I want to. We also learned so many great techniques so we don't look silly at our home bar. Andy also explained the differences between nice alcohol brands and let us switch up the liquors we used in each cocktail. I don't like bourbon, so he let me make my old fashioned with gin and I was blown away by how good it was! I truly feel like I understand mixology as more than just recreating a drink from a recipe, and I'm excited to use that knowledge over the holidays to impress my family. Where the service went above and beyond was after the class. The bar was pretty slow, so Andy set us up in one of the heated igloos on the outdoor rooftop and let us hang out and order more drinks. The entire space - indoors and outdoors - is stunningly gorgeously. The outdoors was very well heated and they provide blankets on all the tables. The igloo experience was wonderful - so private and romantic. This is something we would not have booked ourselves, so thank you Andy and staff for making this birthday experience so special. There is no doubt after this experience that I will be coming back just to hang out at the bar, and I've already recommended it to so many people. What a gorgeous hidden gem and amazing spot in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Devereaux is located on top of the beautiful & luxurious Viceroy Hotel. You would think with a luxurious hotel would come luxurious cocktails, but our drinks were very underwhelming. There was nothing special about the espresso martini, it was very average. Not horrible, but not great either. My margarita was really not good. They didn't put salt on my rim, I had to go back and ask for some. It also tasted like they used margarita mix instead of fresh ingredients. I asked for it spicy & all they did was garnish it with a jalapeño. It was not spicy at all. Last, they came in plastic cups that resembled the quality of cups you would find at the cheapest all-inclusive resort you could find. For an $18 drink, I would have appreciated a nicer glass. I understand they need to be plastic because of the pool, but I think they could have done a better job finding nicer looking plastic cups. The only reason I didn't rate Devereaux lower is because it was very beautiful on the rooftop. Definitely a great atmosphere and pretty interior. I think I would have had a better experience if I ordered something that is hard to mess up like beer or wine.

Yelp
Amazing views located at the heart of Chicago! The outside patio has an great ambiance with LED lights and the lighted pool. The views are striking and my pictures cannot do justice! While the food/bites are average, but the drinks are definitely top tier! I recommend this spot for a place to grab drinks after dinner. The service was not as quick as they seemed to be understaffed. All in all, I recommend this spot for the drinks + amazing views. Tip: Make sure to make a reservation in advance as it gets filled.

Yelp
Devereaux had been on my Yelp bookmark list for over 3 years, so I was excited to finally check them out after my anniversary dinner. What I liked: - The amazing views! The view of the gold coast and downtown from this rooftop is hard to match. - It was easy to make a reservation online - The staff were all very friendly and offered good suggestions - They had a decent sized cocktail menu and even had some mocktails available as well. What I didn't like: - I wasn't a fan of the plastic reusable cups. I understand the use of plastic cups while outside, but the outside was closed on the particular night we were there due to the iffy weather. We sat inside. I feel like the material of a cup can influence the drinking experience. It also felt weird to drink a $22 cocktail from a plastic cup. - The cocktails were a bit of a mixed bag. I liked the Hollaback Girl. I tried my husband's cocktail (Tanuki Tea). I thought that this cocktail tasted strange to me. It had too many flavors going on for me. Both of the standard cocktails we ordered (old fashioned and boulevardier) were decent.

Yelp
Met up with a group for a birthday celebration here and while the ambiance was nice and the fantastic views are undeniable the service was just very lackluster throughout the night and put a damper on the experience. In the 4 or so hours our group of 15 was at Deveraux they only had waitstaff come around a few times at the beginning to get drink orders. I really wouldn't have minded if they had just told us we should go to the bar to order drinks but they never said anything so after sitting with empty glasses for long stretches most of us did that. I think this actually kept us from ordering any food even though several items on their menu sounded pretty good. I will say that the Lakeshore Spritz and beers I ordered were very much to my liking but that didn't make up for the staff just seeming kind of annoyed and inattentive all night. What drops this to a 2 star review is that one of the bartenders was pretty off-putting and rude to more than one person in our group which I found out after the fact. I really didn't have any personal issue with them until they took forever to close out my tab--by the way the bar had already emptied out a good amount at this point because the outdoor section had been closed--and then noticed they had mistakenly given my bill to my brother. I understand, we have the same last name and mistakes happen then I saw that they overcharged both of us. When I brought it up they seemed to suggest that we just figure it out between ourselves before I told them that neither of the totals we were being charged made sense. They eventually reopened the tabs and fixed them but again it seemed like they were more annoyed by my pointing out their mistake instead of being apologetic. So yeah, the location is great but hopefully you get better service than our group did.

Yelp
Great views at Devereaux! The service, drinks, and tables were good. Enjoyed the ambiance, specifically the lightening and views. Would be fun for a happy hour or group reservation spot!

Sarah B.

Yelp
This place has a nice rooftop! I would come back for one drink another time -- but probably wouldn't go too crazy considering this place is a little pricey. You're definitely getting up charged for the view and the ambiance. I'm glad we got a table that was along the edge, and not one of the more interior tables/chairs. The waiter was nice, although not the most attentive, but that is okay.

Shivali D.

Yelp
Devereaux is an elegant rooftop lounge on the 18th floor of the Viceroy. I visited for the first time as part of a MeetUp event. You enter through Sommerset restaurant - make an immediate right turn into a door and head to the back towards the elevator, take it up to the 18th floor. You'll walk into a beautiful indoor space with a spacious seating area and bar. The area opens up into an extended rooftop with a pool taking the center stage. An absolute impressive spot for date night and Instagram worthy for girls night! If I was in the area for dinner, I'd absolutely look to stop by if I was trying to make a statement on my taste in rooftops. It's not a very high up rooftop but it's the perfect ambiance if you are wanting to be outdoors on a warm summer day in the Gold Coast. They offer small bites and snacks so pre-dinner, post-dinner would be ideal. They have five speciality cocktails, four frozen cocktails and a variety of beer and wine options. I wasn't able to try the food or drinks here but from what I could tell, they looked inviting! I'll be back to take a dip in the pool this summer!

Justine R.

Yelp
Devereux is one of my favorite rooftops in Chicago! They have a perfect view of the skyline and lake. It's the perfect place to grab a drink during sunset or for a summer Aperol Spritz.

Lynnie S.

Yelp
Definitely a must do whilst in Chi! This rooftop establishment offers a beautiful view of the water. We loved the drinks. My friend loved their tequila-based drink, La Vaquera, while I thoroughly enjoyed a froze. Their food is awful, or at least their gem salad and cheeseburger meal is. The only server I liked is Tia, she was extremely sweet.

Roxy G.

Yelp
I had an amazing staycation day here. It couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was also extremely accommodating and helpful. The view is fabulous as well.

Hema K.

Yelp
Expensive. Good for date nights or 1:1 hangs -- not for groups. More intimate than many other rooftops in the area!! We had a surprisingly short wait for a table on a Friday night around 8pm. Beautiful views even though it's not so high up. The pool wasn't open when we were there, but I wonder what the vibe is like when it is! Good cocktails and friendly staff. I usually get a bit overwhelmed by rooftops and the crowds they attract, so I'm glad to have a more chill one in my neighborhood.

Faye K.

Yelp
Did the prepaid service for rooftop experience. Weather was bad so we were placed inside which I totally get..... but it was a high top at the tiniest table... it was so difficult to eat. That being said the two things we ordered were tasty.... The smashed cucumber and the sliders. The lady who attended to us was very sweet.... But overall very noisy, not the greatest atmosphere in my opinion. Feel like there could've been a little more effort to adjust things given the weather circumstance.

Suzanne V.

Yelp
Nice view and ambiance on the rooftop. Service was nice, cocktails were good. A bit overpriced but you're paying for the view, so that's expected.

Kate C.

Yelp
Such a cute rooftop bar! The drinks were yummy and the workers were great! Just stumbled in here and was pleasantly surprised!

Amanda S.

Yelp
Stopped here for drinks after having dinner at Luxe nearby with my partner . We were greeted and directed to the rooftop, we instantly felt welcomed. The rooftop was beautiful, especially at night when the skyline looks it's best. It's a cute spot for a brunch with friends or an intimate date night. Here's the thing, once we were seated, we were pretty much ignored. It took incredibly long before we were even greeted by who we assume to be the manager? It appeared they only had one server working indoor and the outdoor patios - which made her incredibly busy. We gave her grace (she never told us her name), especially after she gave us a shot to make up for the slow service. But after that, she disappeared for the rest of the night. I think the server got a little preoccupied when her friend arrived. I wouldn't mind giving the bar another try, but I hope the service is better next time.

Ariana T.

Yelp
Roof top bar in the gold coast! Pool that you can buy a day pass to swim in during the day and is beautiful to look at and be around at night. The food and drinks are delicious and pretty. The view is city and lake is breathtaking! The vibe at night is also really fun!

Nicole D.

Yelp
Tequila espresso martinis and chicken sliders were amazing. Rooftop view is a major plus!

Clara S.

Yelp
Very cool rooftop in goldcoast! It was a beautiful view with good wine and cocktails. Definitely recommend for a scenic stop!

Anna B.

Yelp
Hidden gem of a rooftop! I have lived in this area for a year and had no idea this was on the rooftop of Viceroy hotel! You don't have to be a guest and it's open to public (including the pool I think)! Woo out of towners, have fun w friends, or a great date spot. Drinks are a bit over priced...but isn't every rooftop drink in Chicago overpriced?!

Neeketa S.

Yelp
**Vegetarian Friendly** This place is S-W-A-N-K-Y! We came around 6pm on Saturday to enjoy the rooftop and weather. We ended up staying for dinner, and the next thing we knew it was midnight! We had a great night. Don't get me wrong, the entrance is sketchy. It's literally an alley behind Velvet Taco. You know you're in the right place when you see the string lights along the black wall. Their cocktail menu is fantastic, and they have a full bar. To me, the real star was the number of vegetarian food items they had on the menu! We enjoyed the Buffalo Cauliflower, but the popcorn mix stole my heart!I can't tell you the last time I saw popcorn on the menu! There are beautiful views of the entire city. I would absolutely come back!

Maria P.

Yelp
You're definitely paying for the view. The cocktails however, were simply not good. Both my friend and I got two different drinks and neither of us could finish them. Server was super nice and the place was cute but extremely disappointing for $22 drinks.

Gloria R.

Yelp
The most amazing drinks in the Gold Coast - I've been craving the Pineapple Frose all summer it was so good. My group of 4 were seated pretty promptly at 1pm in the afternoon in the middle of May, and tried their frose, old fashioned, liche noir, and salty dog. Everything was delicious and we were there for over an hour with great service. If your looking for a rooftop bar to enjoy Chicago's skyline without hoards of people, this is it!

Sam N.

Yelp
I have been here a few times since the opening of this place last year and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. When it's dark out I have yet to see anyone jump in the pool although I have heard rumors of people getting in the pool when they have had too many cocktails but this does not mean you should do that:) This place seems to get popping ( i e many people are here ) after 8pm Thursday and Friday I at first thought this was a bit dull but I came back and it was filled with people after i went for the first time when it first opened. That just goes to show you what scott walker said was true " i thought I was right but now I see that I was wrong" Anyways the bartenders seem to be good mixologists. This seems to be good for people watching, if you like to hang out with a well dressed crowd or if you like stiff drinks and good views. This is my neighborhood go to spot on Thursdays -Sundays. The staff below on the main floor when you first get in are very helpful and seem to guide people in the right direction on if this is a good time to go.

Colleen P.

Yelp
Yeah it's a cool view but honestly not even that great of a view. The service was awful the drinks were not worth the price at all. We got all of our drinks in disgusting plastic cups because they ran out of their glasses we spent way too much money on two drinks don't go here not worth it. I'm still upset about it.

Romana Y.

Yelp
Loved sunbathing and sipping a cocktail after a beautiful brunch at Somerset. My French gf brought me here, and we had a beautiful time! Great local crowd, nice setup, and great service. There are towels available in the room across from the pool, readily available to all sun worshippers. Thank you, Lee W, for the bubbles and hospitality. We will be back. Coffee and drinks: 5 Ambiance: 5

Jasmine W.

Yelp
I stayed at the Viceroy during a recent visit to Chicago and this place was a great place to go at night. Super chill and the menu is simple with mainly small plates for apps. Drink menu has cool options as well. Staff is nice and the view is amazing!

Brian W.

Yelp
I like this roof top bar! I've been here a bunch of times this summer with various friends. Good G&T's and espresso martinis! Seems to be the thing. I was on a date last time And my friend was talking with her hands or putting on lipstick or whatever & literally smacked her drink into the wall. Accident of course but what a mess! The server was so sweet literally brought her a new cocktail and I think it was a 12 year rum. Yeah, she was ordering 12 year on date one! No big deal, I'll take the Macallan 12 year please. Oh wait I'm paying! Lol jk fun night and the service is always spectacular. Love the Gold Coast!

Tavi J.

Yelp
I really wish I was able to check this place out during the summertime because the outdoor part was closed. The views look like they would have been amazing though. My friends in town and we already ate, so this stop of the evening was just for drinks. We got the Devereaux Daiquiri and the Pineapple Collins cocktail. Each cocktail was $14 which is expected for this area. I would have to say though compared to most bars this one is tiny during the winter because it looks like the outdoor part doesn't have the retractable roofs like a lot of them do. I think because we came the day before Christmas Eve it wasn't that crowded, but I do wonder if you would be able to find/get a seat on a normal night.

Shuang Z.

Yelp
5 star for the internal design. floor to roof window with a mix of couch, high table and bar seats indoor. The outdoor design is more like JParker with a pool in the middle. 4 star for the view, never tired of the high rise and city lights in Chicago so can't complain about it. 3 star for the drinks though. the cocktails selection are pretty basic and the taste was just a blah (at least for their tom collins and manhattan). Will come back for the convenient location and view for sure ( this decision might be biased because I'm a huge fan of rooftops).

Krupa P.

Yelp
Great ambiance and polite staff. Amazing service--they provided blankets on the rooftop when the temps dropped at night!

Gie G.

Yelp
Although the entrance alley is not so inviting but I would highly recommend this place. The entire venue is fancy, a little flamboyant bar area, and the rooftop view is beautiful though they only have a little small section to move around. Excellent service definitely. I love it when the bartenders and servers are friendly and still professional during "after hours". We had a private event held at this location! it was very busy got a little crowded but servers and bartenders are fantastic!! Servers would welcome and entertain the newly arrived guests with a smile and very pleasant attitude. Food (their seafood menu is fantastic) and cocktail drinks are over the top for a smaller venue like this.! I loved it Kudos to those couple of bartenders!! I see how busy they were and this lady bartender was awesome.! Her hands are full! but always with a smile and greet yah!.. and all my drinks taste very good! I had Pineapple Froze' and Blueberry Julep (I know i know i mixed my drinks !) hahah! I loved it and definitely recommend it!

Delores M.

Yelp
Super cool rooftop to have drinks and relax. it's a pool and delicious food to order my favorite was the fried vegetables. Their frozen ros'e is phenomenal.

Kenya H.

Yelp
Thank you to my beautiful cousins, family and friends for making my pool party celebration awesome!!! Thank you all sooooooo much today was amazing!!!!

Natalie H.

Yelp
The staff was nice and courteous and the drinks were great. The rooftop has amazing views of the beautiful city of Chicago

Tara Lynn O.

Yelp
We stopped in for a few drinks after eating at Somerset downstairs! The outdoor area is really cute. The bartenders were awesome. I had mentioned I wanted a espresso martini and they whipped one up that was delicious! They also have a lot of cocktails and frose. It's a little pricey but good for a drink or two!

S C.

Yelp
It's about the vibe and the view. A mellow downbeat soundtrack and responsive service made for a nice start to a busy evening. We didn't eat anything, just drinks for 3 of us before dinner downstairs at Somerset. Drinks? OK. The nice view is factored into the price of your drink. But no surprises. Because one of our group couldn't do the stairs, the Somerset host walked us into the adjacent Viceroy Hotel and keyed the elevator to take us up. Nobody told us to walk down the alley (read in a review), which, by the way, would have been a non-starter on this dark rainy night regardless.

Scott Matthew C.

Yelp
Old Fashioned: 3.5 stars. It needs more bitters plus they were out of the 18 year old singles malt. Great atmosphere! Roof top views of Chicago. The roof top pool closes at 6 PM. Kitchen closes Uber early, 10 PM. I was starving! Great city views if you want a romantic evening.

Yvonne B.

Yelp
I've been absolutely stunned that a swanky lounge has appeared on the 18th floor of what was once the dilapidated Cedar Hotel. During my first visit at least five cast members from Lifetime's reality show Dance Moms showed up and took selfies on the deck. During my second visit last night, a large group of well-dressed people demanded that they have half of the lounge to themselves, even asking that other guests move. I was baffled that Devereaux draws such a pretentious crowd and our server Dominique told us that it's the only rooftop lounge in the Gold Coast. I am still confused because Devereaux is only on the 18th floor and the views are mostly into the windows of the nearby apartments (I watched a guy play the flute in his man panties while sipping my drink last night). Sitting on the couches and lounge chairs is an absolute must. The bar chairs look stunning but are very uncomfortable. My legs dangled because there wasn't a bar on which to rest my feet. The back of the stool is so low that you must sit upright or lean forward onto the table. My friend has some back problems and she was in pain the whole time we sat there. An odd thing about Devereaux is that the servers demand that we give them our credit cards to start a tab right away. Considering the posh clientele, it seemed odd that they'd have a policy that treated guests like irresponsible college students. I don't know if it's possible, but the servers didn't split my bill either time I've gone. The food and drinks are solid; however, I think that there are countless other spots in the neighborhood that are better. Devereaux has a very approachable menu - almost too pedestrian. I hate to identify as a foodie, but I didn't find anything that looked really interesting to me except for the one standout dish: Smoked Beet Tartare. My spouse said that it was life changing! I've tried five of Devereaux's cocktails and all of them were sessionable. The Devereaux Daiquiri was a surprise favorite. I get that Devereaux is a spot for tourists and suburbanites who are having a night out. As a local, I'm spoiled with Chicago's options and have no need to spend time or money at a place that wasn't my scene.

Marissa G.

Yelp
My sister and I happened to be staying at the hotel down here, and oh my, we LOVED this little hidden rooftop spot. Of course, it was winter, so we were in the enclosed part of the bar, but the view was still awesome. We both ordered cocktails and glasses of wine during our time up there, and we couldn't say enough about these drinks. You could tell the bartenders were experts. We also got the shrimp cocktail appetizer, and it was tasty as well. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

Merissa Y.

Yelp
Here for early drinks with my fellow ladies. Great spot to chill and drink before enjoying dinner at one of good coasts favorite restaurants. On the 18th floor of the Viceroy. Beautiful views and ambiance.

Daniel D.

Yelp
Here's the breakdown as to why 3 stars: Design of this estab is a full 5 stars - Very cool - inside and out on the roof deck. Like real cool. Bartender Service - quite attentive. One bartender even pleasantly served a dressed up wasted brat that for real snapped her fingers in his face, twice - almost violently. Good on him. Cocktails - 2 stars. If you charge what you charge (approx $15 per cocktail) they best be done well. Missing garnishes as described on menu (and really as they are served anywhere else that does cocktails right). Overall the four cocktails our group ordered just tasted "ok". Music - 80's tunes ...and they were pretty great Scene - 1 star. Tavern On Rush may have been half empty tonight because that was exactly who was here. Largely an older crowd consisting of women wearing things that showed too much skin and that they should have only possibly worn decades earlier and older men who enjoy showing the world their chesthair. Overall I want to like this place and so I will try it again. I'm hopeful to find they serve cold beer well and that it attracts a crowd that is less showy and more real

Wynetta S.

Yelp
I enjoyed this rooftop, much smaller than I anticipated but ok. The pool in the middle takes up a lot of space. The management is very friendly and welcoming. The food was good and the drinks were too. I would prefer going during happy hour. The entrance is strange seeing you have to go through an alley but overall good place to visit.

Awesome space. Amazing view, great staff. Super clean and beautiful decor. Very swanky. Just as expensive as other bars of this quality ($7 beer, $10-12 wine, $14+ cocktails). I will definitely be back - I'm just sad that they opened toward the end of summer so I won't be able to come back until next year to use the pool! I almost wanted to give a one star review so other people wouldn't find out about this spot - seriously, it's great!

Yelp
Beautiful city views, mediocre food and service. I've stayed at the Viceroy before, so during my recent trip to Chicago, I was excited to visit their rooftop bar and lounge. Unfortunately, there were several red flags as soon as we arrived. First, the host was inattentive. When we asked to be seated, he waved us in a general area where there were dirty tables. We had to track someone down to clean it after 20 minutes. We then tracked down a waitress to give us a menu - she replied with "I'm not your waitress." We should've left then, but we ordered drinks eventually. My first drink had lipstick on the rim, so I had to send it back. Our food was cold - the cheese on the cheeseburger wasn't even melted. The service was spotty throughout, even when it wasn't busy. I still love the viceroy, but I will not be returning to this location.

Yelp
Great design for the indoor area as well as outdoor pool with seating around it. Cocktails were a total disappointment. My friend and I each tried 2 different cocktails and they were just ok tasting. Prices for the cocktails range from $14-15. The quality of the cocktails was not worth what they charge. There are other places with great cocktails in the area for the same price.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop! We stopped by for a drink on our way to dinner and really enjoyed it. Two of us had moscow mules and the other two had froze, both were very good! You can see the water from the rooftop as well, very pretty.

Yelp
Came to check out the new Rooftop Bar on the block and was rather impressed. Devereaux sits on top of the Viceroy Hotel just above Somerset Restaurant in the Gold Coast. First off, the view was quite impressionable for the location. The setup, though seemingly small, was charming with the obvious feeling of being poolside. Please see my pictures attached. Food and drinks were moderately priced and similar to what you'd expect for the ambience and the view. The food was good and was prepared by Somerset. Pictured are the Seared Ahi Tuna, Garlic Fries, and the Somerset Cheeseburger. Unfortunately we did not enjoy a dish, but they were quick to replace it and Management came to address our concern. The Bartender and Servers were very accommodating and attentive which was nice. Overall, we had an enjoyable time at Devereaux. Considering that summer is almost ending, it was nice to experience this place, as it has great potential of becoming a hot rooftop spot next season.
