If it weren’t so far from my place in downtown Denver, I’d make this my regular coffee shop and bakery. Their baked goods are top notch. Not overly sweet and buttery- perfect balanced doses of savory and sweet that allows the flavor of dough to shine. I had the infamous almond croissant and apple raspberry strudel with a latte. Almond croissant is beautifully baked, crispy on the outside, layered airiness inside, and right amount of filling that doesn’t compromise the texture of the bread. Worth every dollar. Will definitely be visiting again and bringing friend next time!

Wow, one of the best bakeries in Denver, hands down. The pastries and coffee are superb - the galettes are my favorite. The only downside is that all of Denver knows about this place too.

Delicious pastries and latte. Prices reasonable for a café. Customer service was good but overheard several mistakes distributed to customers. Limited seating but finding a spot wasn't too tricky. Lovely place that's a must stop if you're in the area.

Excellent bakery on a shopping block in an older neighborhood. Very good espresso based drinks, pastries and pies. The cherry raspberry strudel is particularly good. The sweetness of the crust is a nice contrast to the tart cherry/raspberry filling and pairs well with the latte. Service was great. It was friendly, prompt and efficient. The space is in an interesting older building with both tables and counter space for seating. They do have Wi-Fi available. There is a view into the back area where employees are busy baking. The on street parking is limited and can fill up during peak times.

Easily the best almond croissant I’ve had in Denver. Add to that the heavy hipster factor of their interior, and slightly too cool for school attitude but still down to earth, and you got a shining star right here on south Gaylord. Makes sense as it’s connected to the slammin brunch spot next door at Myrtle Hill.

I have discovered that ordering a croissant during weekdays is disappointing. The almond croissants are excellent on a Saturday morning, but otherwise the croissants tasted overcooked and easily crumbled. I am guessing during some weekdays the croissants leftover from the afternoon before are being reheated in an oven. However, this is my favorite coffee shop, and the cappuccino in Rome did not compare to the cappuccino's at Devil's Food. The creama is excellent, and the locally roasted coffee beans for the expresso is outstanding. The vibe is warm and inviting and I have met interesting new friends here.

I'm a newbie to Denver, but this is the best pastry I have tried. Love the atmosphere, and the chai is to die for.

Good American style bakery. Good cakes, tarts, and cookies. Butterscotch tarts are the best. The Chocolate tarts are like mini french silk pies. Espresso butter cream is delicious and melts in your mouth. The booze soaked cake was wonderful. Great frosted sugar cookies. Perfectly soft and chewy center with crispy exterior. Love that you can pre-order for a party 🥳. The walnut croissant is delicious and perfectly textured too!
