Though its whole beans are worth taking home, stay awhile at this Silver Lake cafe for a generous latte or a cappuccino and pastry from Sugarbloom Bakery. It’s a very serious coffee shop that serves near-perfect versions of drinks, but doesn’t take itself seriously at all. Refills are $1.75 on coffee or cold brew. Designed by MASS Architects, everything about it is well-considered, from the Scandinavian stools to the fin-shaped sculpture above the counter, which also displays the menu. The attention to detail also spills over into the coffee, which is fully up to Silver Lake hipster standards. "
