"For quality Middle Eastern fare, Dishdash offers a slate of family recipes with a modern twist. Owner Emad Ibrahim is a Palestinian immigrant who moved to the U.S. from Jerusalem before opening the restaurant with his wife Nadiah Mshasha. The mansaf and kebabs are clear favorites, while the toasty lavash and homemade pitas with protein and vegetables are also popular choices. The restaurant aims to ensure the quality of its dishes using free-range chicken, dry-aged American lamb, and sustainably sourced seafood. After founding the original Sunnyvale location in 2001, the team has since opened a few additional casual outposts — similarly called “Dish N Dash” — throughout the South Bay." - Paolo Bicchieri, Cathy Park

Good stop for a quick lunch bite. The hummus with chicken & chicken shawarma wraps were very good. Service was a bit slow despite not being too busy.

Good food, the place is decent for typical lunch breaks with work colleagues...grilled meats are of good quality. I would not advise having Turkish coffee as it has too much sediment coffee powder. Starter order of sharable dips with pita breads are addictive. Rice portions are large, so one must have a decent appetite to finish the main dish by yourself.

The biryani plate was amazing — packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The sauces were great, adding so much depth to every bite. Also can’t forget the appetizer: warm pita with a spiced dip that was just too good. Highly recommend!

We got there for lunch on Saturday as soon as they opened so there was no wait. We love Mediterranean food and have been to many places before. Kebab was delicious and the dessert Kenafeh was very interesting. However, Maza was disappointing. It is a combo plate of hummus, baba ghanouge, and other dips you see in almost every Mediterranean restaurant. It contained so little of dip but had so much other garnish like pickles. You can't really enjoy the zest of it. We also ordered Mansaf which was a very popular dish here, but it looked very different from what I saw on the internet. It had only a little lamb and so much rice and the sauce but no vegetables. It was like soup with rice. The waiter kept interrupting our conversation for various reasons. I appreciated the service but I was also a bit annoyed.

Visited here for a team lunch with colleagues. I had reservation ahead of time. They have seating both inside and outside. We ordered many main dishes. One of the popular item among team members was combo kebab. I also ordered combo kebab, chicken and lamb. It was very tasty. Service was excellent. It is a good place for large group dining. We enjoyed and food and atmosphere in the restaurant.

Tried this Middle Eastern restaurant recently and had a pleasant experience overall! 🥙 Pita was soft and fresh — definitely a good start. 🥘 M’shakaleh (Veg) – A flavorful mix of veggies. I’d rate it 4/5. The rice served with it was especially tasty, but the dish itself could be made better — felt like it was missing a bit of punch. 🍗 Beriani Dajaj (Non-veg) – Loved this one! A flavorful dish that felt new and exciting to try. 4.5/5 and definitely recommend it. Portion sizes were generous — you’ll appreciate the value. 🍹 The mocktails were refreshing too. I personally liked the one with passion fruit the most. 🌿 However, there are few vegetarian options compared with non vegetarian options, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for variety. ✅ Overall, a pleasant experience with good food and a nice ambience. Worth a visit!

Delicious and authentic food. How can I know when I have never been in Middle East? The menu that I don't understand lol. The unknown items made me excited to Google, see how it looks, and try it. This is one of the nice outcomes from being adventurous. The braised lamb in yogurt is just tasty and tender. You can eat the whole thing without use of knife (you need a knife to cut a grilled cauliflower though). The variety of small dishes are great too. The price is on the higher end but the food is big too. Definitely come here to try new dishes!

I came here with a few friends for a delicious meal at Dishdash! The Masa Sampler was a great way to startcreamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and crispy falafel, all super fresh and flavorful. The Kufta was juicy and spiced just right, and the Combo Kebab was a standout with tender chicken, lamb, and beef served over fluffy rice. Great portions and bold flavors across the board. Only downside was the service—it felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to turn tables quickly. Not a dealbreaker, but it took away from the otherwise relaxed vibe.
