Dog Haus Biergarten - Burgers Beer Wings Sports

I liked this restaurant, I especially like the natural fed animals that the meats come from. It seems like nowadays we always have to worry about the antibiotics and over supplements given to animals. So, if this is true and where their meat comes from...it was worth the extra cost. It was a high cost, but you get what you pay for in food quality. The burger was amazing. The fries were a little heat lamp dry and salty. I am allergic to onions, so they made sure not to have them on my burger, but luckily, I inquired if their special sauce had any onions. They had to take it back, so I was left eating my fries solo and then my burger. I would recommend them to inform their customers about the onions in their secret sauce if they request no onions. The restrooms were clean and needed a code to get in.

So there was a mix of reviews in our party of 3. First, my husband was the one who ordered because it is not wheelchair accessible. Luckily there is a cute public outdoor seating area out front where we ate our lunch. My husband was not impressed with the service. He ordered off the app and asked for a Dr. Pepper. But instead of informing him they were out of it, she just substituted it with a Coke. That is NOT a good substitute. She also was not very friendly. As for the food, my hubby was not very impressed with his regular chicken sandwich on Hawaiian rolls. He said it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t that great. My chili cheese dog on Hawaiian rolls was pretty good despite being lukewarm. But my fries were hot and absolutely delicious. My son liked his food ok. All in all, the food we had was average and a bit overpriced. Honestly the best part was their funny box. 🤣

Great spot for finger food and a beer. Nice music in the background and food was fresh and hot. My Mango Cart wheat beer was the highlight for me.

Difficult. Some of the food is not bad and tastes perfectly acceptable. The onion rings, for example, are very good, while the hot dogs are nothing special. The service when ordering and picking up is really terrible and unprofessional. The food was far from ready at the agreed pick-up time. After almost an hour, one of the employees admitted that the slip of paper with my order was probably no longer there. Some of the staff are at least quite nice and make an effort, but the people who prepare the food seem incompetent. Overall not recommendable.

I am thrilled that Dog Haus has finally arrived in DC! No more long drives to MD. Great food, drinks, ambiance, and service. Absolutely love this place! All beef dogs and sausages are humanely raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free on King's Hawaiian rolls. Absolutely delicious—savory and sweet! and breakfast burritos? YES!!!!! Undeniably a must-try! Amazing selection of craft beers on tap as well as handcrafted cocktails. The best part is that the kitchen is open 24/7! :)

Great urban and rustic interior. Wide variety of hot dogs and French fries/tater tots. The southwest tots were fresh and spicy. My only complaint is that on game day, NFL divisional playoff game day, that you turn the music down and raise the volume on the game. I asked multiple times but perhaps doing this is harder than I thought. But somehow when the Commanders game started they found the volume and even lowered the lights. Home field advantage.

Great dinner and drinks at Dog Haus Biergarten DC. This was my first time at a Dog Haus location. I was surprised how well the Hawaiian Rolls used for the Hot Dogs stood up when they were loaded with toppings. It added a buttery sweetness that you dont get with normal buns. The toppings combos offered for the dog are really cool and make for a unique, flavorful and filling hot dog. The selection of regional beers was pretty good too. The service on beer delivery was a little slow, especially considering you have to order and pay for everything on a screen and not with a server or bartender. It was a good dinner and I hope to come back.

I walked in after they just opened. There was the bar keep, a waitress, a manager I believe and 2 other patrons. I stood there for at least 5 minutes. No one asked if I needed help. No one looked in my direction. The server was more interested in what the manager was looking at on his laptop. I didn't stick around to find out if the food was any good. I would imagine if it tasted like the staff acted, then it's probably not that good.

Came here with friends. This is not a great gluten-free place, but after talking to the manager, we were able to find a burger without bun option that worked. The place is fun and a good place to go with friends. The burgers and dogs are great and a great value. They also have a long list of beers. Unfortunately fries are not gluten free.

I really was craving tater tots and a coworker recommended I try this place as I was visiting from out of town. The burger was pretty decent, on a super seeded bun. The cheese was a bit over melted such that it didn't really add to the flavor, that was disappointing. The tater tots were pretty good, super crispy, maybe a touch too much as they were pretty airy inside. But overall still enjoyable. I did like the chili cheese topping. It had a good bit of chili seasoning and wasn't oily and had a good bit of cheddar cheese. Order arrived pretty quickly by delivery and from the app, it wasn't a long wait at all. If need to visit in person to comment on the restaurant itself and its environment.

Chris for his second day on the job was an amazing hostess! The new big Haus burger didn't disappoint! Their chipotle honey wings, sliders and hot dogs are amazing! I love that they sit on a super soft Hawaiian roll! They have a nice happy hour and the atmosphere is super fun!

Clean, modern albeit noisy interior- you can order at a tablet or using a QR code at your table. Service is okay - I feel like I'm part of the process as the menu is long and not sortable. Kind of like a McDonalds - not fun to use. The food was excellent, well proportioned and delicious.

I ordered my food through doordash. However, before I placed my order I called the store and asked if they could fry my egg completely if I add an egg because runny eggs is disgusting to me. The lady who answered the phone was nice. She asked me my name. She told me that she would go to the kitchen and tell them to fry my egg well. So, my food came and there was runny egg dripping out of my sandwich. I was so disgusted. I couldn't finish it.

Had birthday lunch with our 10 year old. Had a blast and he loved that everything was on Hawaiian rolls. Drinks for Dad and I were delish. Great time and will be back.

The food honestly gets carried by the Hawaiian bread. None of it's that good. Pretty crazy to charge $15 for a hot dog that is not much better than a 7/11 dog. Service is also terrible, heard the wait staff and bartenders trash talking my buddy that was with me behind his back. You don't do that to customers. Been going here for awhile and had 1 or 2 experiences with shite customer service, but this right here was a deal breaker for me. Never coming back. Food quality's declined heavily anyway.

Food was great as usual!!! Came out quick and was fresh. Our server was manning the bar and handling tables and was excellent. It was clean and had games on every tv. We had the Chilli The Kid and The Cowboy, along with the Love Boat Tots!!! 10/10

Dog haus replaced the M street chipotle! Excellent hotdogs and sandwiches all served on kings Hawaiian rolls. I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was good! But I would say that the rolls were not able to withstand the weight of the chicken

Just a note: this review is just for the food as I ordered via Uber eats. First of all...it's damn delicious! I ordered one of the breakfast burritos and the sooo cali haus dog! - breakfast burrito is so delicious...I love the addition of tater tots and white American cheese where it's literally a party in your mouth. It's huge...so I had to cut mine in half, which made me happy because I got to reheat and try it again the next day! - I would rate the soo Cali haus dog a 4/5 only because the composition of sliced avocados and tomatoes on a hot dog makes it a little difficult to eat (a good avocado sauce would be bomb here). But the hot dog itself...so good! The bun...delicious. Other things I love: - the kitchen is open 24/7...meaning I can order or walk up to a designated window whenever I want - received my Uber eats order in a timely fashion and was still very warm by the time I got it. - the reheated burrito was still really tasty

This place is fire! Staff is super friendly. Place is clean. Food comes out quick. Maybe 10-15 minute wait dine in. I have been here twice and it never disappoints. My kids love it and so does my wife.

I always go here for lunch after my PT appointment. I get the vegan nuggets and fries every-time and they're always good. The service is always fast and it's clean in here. You can place your orders on the kiosk which is very easy.

No words to explain how impersonal the service is in these type of restaurants... you look for the menu .. you order your own food ... you add your own drink ... the servers just bring them to the table without any other interaction with the guests unless you seat by the bar ... not even to ask you how was it ... the food was good ... I order a burger and added pastrami to it and it was hard to find it in the sandwich... judge by yourself in the pictures

I came here with friends on a Friday. It was rather easy to find a table and it was not that busy. My biggest problem with this place was there are no prices on any of the menus, which is absolutely insane. Since there were no sizes or prices on their beers I assume there was just the one size and it was small one. I got a bacon wrapped dog with condiments. I was then informed that some of the ones on the menu were not available and the hot dog was not wrapped it was just bacon on top. My friend got a brat and they gave her the wrong one. The staff was nice enough but paying that much for average food is crazy because there are multiple other better late night eats in that area and there is no reason to go back.

I recently found out that the DC location was opened. I've been to the locations at Bethesda and Gaithersburg, MD, and only had the Haus dogs and sausages but never the burger. I went in for a pickup order and I opted for the Little Mule, which lived up to my expectations! The meat was cooked to perfection and the buns went well together as they did with the Haus dogs and sausages. Although I would've liked a few more slices of avocado, it was a take-out order, so we sliced up some extra at home. The staff at this location was very friendly and was quick to attend to my needs. Although I was only there for a pickup, the vibe of this location was great. It wasn't too dark or too loud.

I am glad they promoted their business on Yelp! My family and I had an enjoyable time with great customer service. They are fairly new so working out the kinks, so things will happen. Overall great experience and if back in DC, will visit again. Highly recommend

Dog Haus Biergarten Dupont is a great place for a Smashburger there are numerous options and toppings to accompany your burger, which is served on a King's Hawaiian roll. The staff is great, and there are plenty of televisions to watch a surplus of sporting events. This restaurant is near a metro stop, which is always a plus.

There were so many things that bothered me about this place. Service. Ordering. Layout. Atmosphere. Lighting. Expense. Portion size. Cold cheese topping. Average food. Menu. Nashville wings were good. I don't think I'll come back.

Just spent more than a hundred dollars for an order for something special. Missing two expensive items and there is no way to reach anyone to get a refund. Thanks for nothing. Guess I'll have to dispute chargers to get my refund.

Came in on a Tuesday night, the space was pretty chill, just a few people at the bar and what looked to be a work-related happy hour with a bunch of people at one big table near the bar. We were a bit perplexed by multiple options on how to order....by kiosk, at table QR code, I think there was a third option too, I can't remember, it seemed unnecessary. No one hosting, so we decided to just pick a table and go from there. The beer list is long but unimpressive. Some locals, but nothing too notable. We chose our drinks and food, and ordered on my phone. The server who did interact with us was very friendly. He delivered our drinks and food swiftly and asked if we wanted anything else. I had chosen a make your own "impossible meat" burger. When our food arrived, I was surprised to find that the make your own vegetarian burger included cheese. I am lactose intolerant, I did not choose cheese. I brought my meal to server and he apologized explaining that it is in fact a default and even though I did not choose a cheese, a cheese was put on my sandwich regardless. So they remade my sandwich, but they missed the three sauces that I requested on it, making for a pretty dry and honestly incredibly blah sandwich. It was also super messy, I had a lot of trouble eating it. Thinking about it now, I guess it is containers that we assumed were dips for our sides were actually the sauces that I should have put on my burger? I was too despondent to put up yet another fuss so I just grabbed some ketchup from our table instead. The server did also mention they do have vegan cheese, but it's not listed anywhere on the menu or as an option when making your own burger. So I don't know how you're supposed to know that. I would have really appreciated vegan cheese if that was an option. Maybe they should change that on the menu. We chose a side of "hot" fries and tater tots. If the hot fries were hot then I'm the queen of England, they have maybe a sprinkle of some sort of red dust on them. My dining partner got the rodeo Burger that must have been pretty good, they didn't really mention any highs or lows other than as people who like our burgers rare, there was no option for choosing your cooked level. He was pretty much served two slim hockey pucks between Hawaiian rolls. Overall, it was food, the service was kind but there's no reason I will go back to Dupont circle for dub par food.

Apparently DoorDash orders take place over those placed in the restaurant. Bun was burnt. Hot dog was salty!! Tots were cold. Hoping they are just experiencing open jitters.

Anthony is a phenomenal bar tender and a great ambassador for DC. We were hungry and thirsty and he took care of us. Not only were the food and drinks great, but his advice on what to see was awesome.

Came in today for lunch. Food was delicious. It's a brand new restaurant right under Boqueria. Can't wait to be back for happy hour.

Ordered vegan dogs twice in one night and got meat each time. Once for an initial order, when it came wrong i figured a fluke and would try again. Ordered a second time and again: meat! Why even bother offering a veggie option at this point. My partner went hungry that night due to crappy kitchen staff. No one answers the phone when you call either. Employees must be as drunk as the people ordering this bs

Ordered a chicken sandwich. It was barely cooked to standard wellness. Beer was tasty and seemed fresh. But I was shocked when cook came out to relieve the bartender and kept wearing his gloves spreading contamination to glasses and POS machine. Place needs some oversight.

Indulgently delicious and affordable food offerings along with friendly efficient service. I've tried a couple of the Maryland locations and was very impressed so wanted to check out the new DC location; very comfortable and welcoming. They also offer 24/7 delivery and pickup. Highly recommend checking them out! Try the Old Town Dog!

Oof. This place had my molars screaming because darn if there isn't a cup of sugar in every bite. The Hawaiian roll is sweet on its own, but every ingredient was just so overwhelmingly sweet. Even the ranch tasted like it had sugar added to it. Ambience was nice as was the service, but these owners need to cut way back on one ingredient in particular!

Great addition to the fast food segment in the neighborhood. Their Mexican styled sausage was very good. Good bread and they have solid fries. Friendly service too.

I placed my order online. I literately did not get my order until an hour after it was supposed to be ready. And it wasn't just me either. People who actually placed their order in the store and other online orders were waiting almost an hour also. The manager stated that the machine used to print tickets was out of paper and when he refilled it, it didn't print out people's orders. We're standing around waiting just to find out that our tickets haven't even printed and made it to the kitchen?!? And on top of that, the kitchen was moving slower than molasses. They didn't speak English so the guy from the front had to keep going into the back and translating every ticket which took forever. If they couldn't handle this basic lunch rush, how do they expect to last? The summertime in this area is very busy and this will not be able to handle it. Overall, this location needs a big restructuring plan. Just based off this experience I don't want to go back. I literally told other customers while they walked in to not put in an order because they'll be waiting forever. I was very dissatisfied and wanted my money back. Head my warning, don't go to this location.
