Magical Dessert Bar Brings Unicorn-Themed Desserts to Houston - Eater Houston

"DoHolics is another dessert spot by the Babars, serving edible cookie dough and 'selfie milkshakes'. It is located on the same block as Magical Dessert Bar and Chills360 in Dallas." - Alaena Hostetter

Sip Milkshakes Emblazoned With Your Face At This New Edible Cookie Dough Shop - Eater Dallas

"Selfie mania has reached new heights in Dallas as dessert enthusiasts can now sip milkshakes with their own faces floating on top, thanks to a new Deep Ellum dessert spot, DoHolics. The selfie shake and edible cookie dough shop comes to Deep Ellum courtesy of the same couple who brought Chills360 rolled ice cream to the neighborhood. In fact, DoHolics will debut right next door to their existing uber-popular ice cream shop at 2646 Elm Street this weekend, CultureMap reports. Much like the rolled ice cream trend that Usman and Javeria Babar introduced to Deep Ellum two years ago from Thailand, (and have since expanded to nearly 10 locations around Texas), they’re bringing the sipable selfie treat from overseas also — India, in fact, where the trend has fully taken off. Here in Dallas, patrons can send a selfie (or any photo of their choosing) to the shop’s printer via an app, and voila, another Instagram-worthy dessert. While selfie-obsessed diners will flock to the shop for the shakes, DoHolic’s signature edible cookie dough is not to be overshadowed. More than a dozen flavors of raw dough can be scooped into cones or sundae-style concoctions topped with M&Ms, chocolate squares, and popcorn. Plus, diners will have a chance to throw back a “cookie shot” — an edible shot glass made out of a baked cookie, filled with what, we don’t yet know. DoHolics starts serving up its buzzy desserts this Friday. Stay tuned for hours of operation and to find out what’s inside those cookie shots." - Alaena Hostetter

This place is pretty cool! You can get your face printed on your shake. It tastes great. I think everyone should give it a try, you’ll like it it! Patricia was very friendly and quick with service as well.

First time going, absolutely yummy. The Selfie Shake is cute and delicious. You upload your picture which then gets printed ontop of your Shake. And you can't go without getting The Cookie Dough Shot. 😋The young lady working was friendly and super nice we will be back. Gotta get the Unicorn Shot. 🦄🦄🦄

Go to The Dough Dough in north dallas. This does not compare at all. They didn’t have two of the flavors that I specifically went there for. The one that I did try had a weird texture and was awkwardly warm.

Servers were super nice and accommodating! I tried a flavor outside of the usual for me that I didn't really like, but the toppings were good (and plentiful). Will check out again in future.

Doesn’t taste like cookie dough at all. I got the chocolate chip and it tasted like crisco and chocolate chips. The dough dough in north dallas is amazing.

Yelp
Cookie dough had absolutely no flavor Was also like a warm room temperature Pricey.. for one tiny little scoop Menu very limited Service was good. Cookie dough not so much.. Very disappointed :( I buy edible cookie dough from Central Market all the time and it's the absolute best! Better step up your game because the Ice cream shop next door will put you out real quick! Just being honest.

Yelp
I thought this spot would be a bit better than it was. I can't say that was really bad, just nothing spectacular with the place. The dough I had was very sweet and tasty, but warm. If it were cold, may have been better. For $5,you get one small scoop. Not too sure it was worth the price. The location is a bit hard to find. It's a very small place with a couple of picnic tables to sit on outside. You have to worry about homeless people coming up and asking for money while you're sitting there. I think the better deal for someone is just going and grabbing some raw cookie dough from the grocery store for five dollars and even taking the chance of catching salmonella. The clerk working was nice and friendly. Nothing about this place stood out to me and said, "hey, get in here and check it out"!

Yelp
This is no Dough Dough. First of all I had to pay $10 to park then we walk in and it's just sad. There are only like 6 flavors all of which were horribly bland and in bins covered in plastic wrap. The place did not have the A/C on nor was the dough even chilled. We bought a couple of scoops just to be nice but we will not be going back ever...

Yelp
I honestly wasn't impressed. The flavors here are bland and lack any sort of chunks mixed in / variety / quality of similar cookie dough shops. It's also a limited menu - no ice cream options, which I grew to love with cookie dough at similar shops!
