Sip Milkshakes Emblazoned With Your Face At This New Edible Cookie Dough Shop - Eater Dallas
"Selfie mania has reached new heights in Dallas as dessert enthusiasts can now sip milkshakes with their own faces floating on top, thanks to a new Deep Ellum dessert spot, DoHolics. The selfie shake and edible cookie dough shop comes to Deep Ellum courtesy of the same couple who brought Chills360 rolled ice cream to the neighborhood. In fact, DoHolics will debut right next door to their existing uber-popular ice cream shop at 2646 Elm Street this weekend, CultureMap reports. Much like the rolled ice cream trend that Usman and Javeria Babar introduced to Deep Ellum two years ago from Thailand, (and have since expanded to nearly 10 locations around Texas), they’re bringing the sipable selfie treat from overseas also — India, in fact, where the trend has fully taken off. Here in Dallas, patrons can send a selfie (or any photo of their choosing) to the shop’s printer via an app, and voila, another Instagram-worthy dessert. While selfie-obsessed diners will flock to the shop for the shakes, DoHolic’s signature edible cookie dough is not to be overshadowed. More than a dozen flavors of raw dough can be scooped into cones or sundae-style concoctions topped with M&Ms, chocolate squares, and popcorn. Plus, diners will have a chance to throw back a “cookie shot” — an edible shot glass made out of a baked cookie, filled with what, we don’t yet know.
