Unexpected great gelato! This gelato is very light and not too sweet. I usually cannot finish a gelato because always too sweet and it gets boring by the half way of eating it. This was really delicious and refreshing, great job Dolce Brooklyn!!

Tiny shop with amazing macarons (11 flavors) and gelato. There are 9 flavors (with 3 sorbets), mostly the classics, but they are done extremely well. Prices are decent ($7 for 2 scoops) Strongly recommend, especially their sundae option with gelato, macaron and a drizzle. They do allow sampling and my favorites were the mango and mint stracciatella. All 4 that I tried were great. Macaron, I had the passion mango and it was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more flavors. There is some outdoor seating but no indoor seating.

Cute neighborhood gelato shop that sells gelato and espresso drinks out of a window. I got an pistachio affogato which was delicious, well-priced, and didn’t melt too quickly despite the heat. I tried both the earl grey and pistachio gelato, and both were smooth & creamy and the flavors were really well executed. My partner tried mine and immediately went to get his own cookies and cream gelato. Definitely going to visit again if I’m in the neighborhood.

Dolce Brooklyn was on my list of gelato experiences on our visit to NYC. And I did travel over 2,500 miles just to order one simple scoop. I had great expectations to taste a most delicious gelato. It was indeed very good. The quantity however, felt like it was lacking for the price. Many artisanal gelato establishments I’ve frequented offer a more generous amount in a cup. Basically, I finished my order within nine bites. Apart from that, the owner’s daughter and her friend were very sweet, helpful, and kind. I am confident that it will just keep getting better and better.

Seriously delicious Affogato as well as great flavour / topping selection - even for kids ! My two little girls wanted to buy their own ice cream, the sweet woman working was so patient, waited for them to decide on their orders and rang them each up separately, even handing them their change (which was $0.01 each 😂) we will be back again and again!

My new favorite gelato place!!! It was my first time and I got the spirulina with the edible flowers.

The gelato itself is great! BUT, I ordered a pint of gelato to go and the container is 14 ounces as opposed to 16 ounces. It's a bit disheartening to see that this place given the economy has to cheap out it's customers. Plus I feel as if the better food bureau would have a problem with false advertising

My secret gem for ice cream in Brooklyn -friendly staff -variety of flavors changing regularly -toppings are delicious and macaroons go so well with the options I've come here just for the fresh macaroons! The seasonal Pumpkin Spice Macaroon with Pumpkin Spice Ice cream in the fall is my all time favorite!!!

With the sunny and hot weather in NY, ice cream is always a good idea. This little shop serves ice cream, macarons, and drinks from a window. They do have a couple covered benches in front for you to enjoy outdoors. I got a medium gelato cup ($7) with three flavors: pistachio, orange blossom, and strawberry basil. I love how pretty all the flavors were infused together with a refreshing taste. The orange blossom was undetectable though, but still good. Glad to have this ice cream shop in the neighborhood.

Quick spot for gelato and macarons! We tried their chocolate, salted caramel and cookies and creme. They had other good sounding flavors but had sold out of some of them. It's a small spot, you order outside at a window, but once you order you get your ice cream very quickly. They have some outdoor seating as well so you can sit right outside. I like that they have a good amount of dairy free options if you have an allergy or intolerance!

This is a walk up window to buy your gelato. There weren't much flavors to choose from this day so I opted for cookies and cream and chocolate. This isn't creamy and smooth like gelatos ice had. The chocolate tasted better than the cookies and cream. Both lacking strong flavors. The cookies and cream was kinda bland.

My favorite ice cream spot in Brooklyn! The gelato here is so creamy and tastes amazing. I usually get cookies and cream and their chocolate flavor. I have also tried the mango sorbet which is soooo good! Would highly recommend checking out dolce!

Very cute gelato shop that opened in Carroll Gardens. I'm not sure if they've been around long but I only started going there this summer. Loves: + Yummy gelato with interesting flavors like green tea white chocolate, orange blossom... I feel like it changes every few days! + The small is two scoops and is like $6 + Very friendly staff + They serve macarons too although I have not had one yet Aside from the above, I'd like to note there are only a few tables for outdoor dining. If you choose to sit and enjoy your treats, I recommend sitting on the west side (farther from Brooklyn Farmacy) as you may get a draft of some of the neighboring garbage bins if you're on the east side.

the gelato was solid but it was a bit overpriced and although I ordered 3 flavors they only gave me 2 (i thought the 3rd was buried underneath and didnt notice there was only 2 until I was almost finished)

Not going to lie, I was disappointed when my girlfriend & I arrived at Dolce. We were like "Oh. A stand hidden in the wall." But for a hole in the wall that has 4.6 stars, that says something, right?!? Fellow Yelpers, you did not disappoint me. Their menu flavors looked modest - a decently small menu. But hell, did it pack A LOT of flavor!!!! My choices of poison were cookies & creme and fior di latte. These flavors were worth the indulgence on a hot day after finishing a heartfelt meal at Cafe Spaghetti. A quick grab from an unassuming stand - why wouldn't you want to try it?

Amazing! Just recently tried their Pear and Chocolate sorbets and I did not miss the dairy at all. The chocolate is such high quality and super rich. I can't wait to go back and try some of the others.

So I have never been a gelato fan until I came here. The flavor choices caught my eye for both the gelato and macarons - I went with banana for the gelato and lavender + earl grey for the macarons and everything was so good and fresh. It felt light and delicious and super creamy as far as the gelato was concerned and then the macarons had the perfect combo of chewiness and sweet delicateness to it- I highly recommend!

My friend and I were in the neighborhood and were craving something sweet. It was just a counter where you can order (no indoor area) but they did have outdoor seating. The staff member was nice and let us try out some flavors before we decided, and we both ended up getting a small cup with two scoops (I think it was $6) of the chocolate and banana gelato. I feel like banana can either be a hit or miss with it tasting artificial but dolce passed the test! It was the perfect sweetness and combination.

My dad & I were wandering around Carroll Gardens & really wanted something sweet. I looked up ice cream spots & this was the first one to come up! It's a counter pick up spot with outdoor dining! The flavors are listed daily! We decided to get a large sundae (it comes with 2 macaroons - we got the pistachio flavor & I have to say .... That was literally the best part) we know how obsessed I am with pistachio but these were PERFECT. We got the cookies and cream ice cream which was so creamy & delish! We added some toppings & it was the perfect pick me up! Exactly what we needed! FYI - staff was super sweet & we will def be back with fam bam members who were jealous when we sent pics! (Possibly even this weekend hahaha)

Tried the Mint Stracciatella Gelato and wow it was so refreshing!! I would definitely order again. Service was super quick and easy and all the other flavors looked so good. Great that they have vegan flavors too! So even your non-dairy friends can enjoy this tasty treat

Dolce Brooklyn has become one of my favorite gelato spots! I have tried the following flavors: Fior de latte, Serious Chocolate, & Cookies & Cream. My go to order is the mini sundae because you get a scoop of gelato, one topping ( i go for crushed cones or chocolate drizzle), and a macaron (vanilla)! I love how flavorful the combo is. You can always upgrade and get the bigger sundae with 2 scoops. The Fior de latte is delicious - perfect balance and not overly sweet. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. They have a cute sitting area for all the guests. I find myself here every weekend :)

So many ice cream shops in the neighborhood but this one has to be the best! So fresh! All the flavors are so good. They change flavors everyday. They also sell pints! My favorite flavor is cookies & cream.

I love wandering the serene streets of Carroll Gardens. Dolce, with their delicious gelatos and sorbet, is a perfect example of the many lovely establishments which inhabit this neighborhood. Whether on a long stroll or just popping by on the way to Key Food, grabbing a dessert from Dolce is always a treat. You order at a counter set up just inside the door and they have plenty of outdoor spots to sit at. Mixing and matching flavors is encouraged. Personally, the Fior di Latte gelato + Raspberry sorbet is my favorite order thus far although there will be many more to come.

Amazing service, the vibes are addicting, and their ice cream is made in house and 1000000% better than Farmecy! (Who doesnt even make their products in house) shoutout Val!

My favorite gelato spot in all of Brooklyn. Their "Serious Chocolate" lives up to its name and has a really great chocolate flavor and I perfect soft creamy texture. My friends vouch for the other flavors too! My favorite is the mini Sundae for $6 which is a single scoop plus a topping and a macaron. The coffee here is good too!

We were craving something sweet after drinks at a nearby bar and decided to try Dolce Brooklyn after reading positive Yelp reviews. It was a short wait before we ordered sweet cream and cookies n' cream gelato and a 6-pk of macarons. The single scoop of gelato was the perfect size for a cool treat. The macarons weren't the best I've had, but they were a tasty addition. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for gelato if your walking around Brooklyn.

By far the WORST bang for my buck in recent years! The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1, is because the lemon sorbet is refreshing. That doesn't mean I'll ever come back here though. I really believe it deserves 1 star, but I'm feeling a bit generous. The serving size here is an absolute joke! I paid $9 for a "sundae", which ended up being a smaller size than any other "small" I've ever experienced in my life. Even an infant would still be starving after eating this. It was literally two teaspoons of product. I'm very surprised and suspect that this place even has the good ratings that it does, as buying from this place is practically throwing money away when compared to literally any other ice cream place in the entire city!

Why is it when I bring the fam for gelato the reaction is "it's not like the gelato in Italy". Guess what, it's never ever going to be like it is there, here in the states! So stop looking! Don't come with those expectations and you'll be totally satisfied! Creamy, thick gelato in a variety of traditional and a few unique rotating flavors. There's even TWO chocolate offerings...serious chocolate and bourbon chocolate! Lots of "oohing and ahhing" from our bunch! The serious chocolate was memorable as was the banana, cookies and cream, pistachio and hazelnut. 2 flavors to a $5 small cup. (Comparable to casino prices we're used to paying). Vegan patrons, don't shy away! They have dairy free sorbet available!! The lemon, cucumber, mint is so refreshing on a hot day and the strawberry basil is delicious too!! Both flavors were incredible! Together...wow! Cute, exposed brick neighborhood spot with a lot of local regulars. A few tables inside and a bench outside to bring pup along. Swag and local goods such as coffee for sale. The young girl scooping was on the slower side but very sweet! Someone jumped in to help when the line grew longer. Don't miss their kids happy hour! How adorable! Tues-Fri 2:30-4:30pm $3.50 small cup/cone. A great stop for dessert on a warm night!

I was craving a dessert after dinner one night, but it was kind of late, so I had abandoned all hope that I would be having anything sweet. But then as I was walking down the street I saw a group of people eating ice cream!! I followed the trail and it led me to Dolce Brooklyn, a little walk-up gelato shop with an impressively creative and extensive menu. Their business hours say they close at 10, but they were still open close to 11- score!! They had cups/cones of gelato for $5-6, a small sundae for $8, even a whole hand-packed pint for only $11! (Maybe I'm just used to New York prices, but that seems cheap compared to other luxury NY ice cream brands). But I knew what I needed, and that was a large sundae. $10 for about half a pint of gelato, 2 macarons, whipped cream and a topping. The three young ladies working that night were really excited to make it. I told them to go nuts and get creative with the flavor combos. It was a cute experience ^.^ and the sundae really hit the spot! I signed up for the frequent-buyer stars thing because I will definitely be back!

You know, I wasn't floored by this place. I expected to be, but since going to L'Albero dei Gelati in Park Slope, no gelato surpasses it. I had the seriously chocolate, mango and strawberry mint. The strawberry mint and chocolate were rich and so flavorful, while the mango tasted like a mushed jar of baby food. It's a really sweet place to share gelato on a summer day, but nothing to get too psyched to rush back to.

Delicious gelato! Worth the travel from Long Island to try Dolce Brooklyn....very tiny store, but their selections were great....loved the chocolate and pistachio flavors...tried their macaroons as well, very good, loved them!

A nice establishment to grab a treat. The gelato here is great. There's enough room to just sit, talk and enjoy your sweets. The man behind the counter and I'm guessing he may be the owner was so kind. He allowed us to taste the flavors before we ordered and did not rush us at all. I ordered cookie & cream and Tahitian vanilla gelato. It was yummy, not too sweet and was light. It tasted fresh like it was just made that morning. I ordered a small just because I ate beforehand but it still was a good amount of gelato for that size. But next time I'm getting a bigger size because I wanted more, it was just too good. My friend ordered a pear and coconut gelato which was also yummy. Fruity and fresh. Doesn't seem like it gets packed here and I like it like that. Hoping to come back soon and enjoy some more of this delicious gelato!

I ordered a pint from them that I received in a brown bag and placed it on my bike handle and biked home. I had headphones in and didn't notice at all that it broke through the bag at some point. When I called in to place another order, I briefly explained that I was just there and he offered to comp it! Which was nice because it was absolutely my fault that it broke through the bag. Apart from that, $11 for a pint of gelato is a steal and the macarons are also incredible. I will definitely continue supporting this place even though it's quite out of the way for me.

Another bicycle adventure today took me to the off the beaten path neighborhood of Red Hook. Van Brunt Street was bustling on a sweltering summer day. I needed some relief and sought refuge in Gelato. Dolce was beckoning me for a visit. I chose Chocolate Bourbon, and it was quite tasty. It was exactly what Gelato should be, light, creamy, and not too sweet. I guess that there is no recession in Red Hook, $4.90 for a small cup of Gelato, and no shortage of customers. My gosh!

AMAZING gelato. We were greeted by friendly staff even though it was near closing. The even more friendly owner encouraged us to try all the flavors - there are about 8-10 flavors, and they're all delicious. The owner says he makes the gelato fresh daily, and you can definitely taste it. The fior de latte is simply amazing. It's the basic milk-flavor and it's incredibly creamy and light. The mint stracciatella is also very good. One of the best was the strawberry basil!! All of their gelato is freshly made and super creamy. A medium sized is about $5. It's defintiely worth the visit. Please come and try this place!!!

Yummy! A waitress at another restaurant nearby recommended this place for dessert. When we walked by, an employee was taking out the trash already. I asked if they were closed for the night and he replied yes but told us to come in anyways. We tried some flavors before settling on the strawberry basil and the cookie and cream. Strawberry basil = WOW! So flavorful, and not too sweet. Definitely a must try! Cookie and cream = kids' favorite but I enjoyed it too. Overall, happy with our experience. Thank you for making time for us tonight!!

First-timer!!! Gelato virgin here! I WAS NOT disappointed!! I can't believe this was my first time trying this place down the block from me! (Now I'll probably end up the "Dutchess" or something very soon! They seem to have some unique, rotating flavors, and new surprises! I kept it safe for my maiden experience: one scoop of salted caramel, and one scoop of what I think was called 'Serious Chocolate?' Yum! I especially fell in love with the chocolate (which I believe they always have on hand). It was so rich and tasty! It almost reminded me of chocolate mousse flavor, if it had a little bit of a liqueur hint to it (idea?) as the 2 flavors melted a bit, I swirled them together, and that was also a great idea!! I had gone in after seeing an IG post from them for a special today of Mint Stracciatella (I guess kinda like chocolate chip mint....) I had a taste, and it was good but different. I love everything chocolate/mint. I may hafta go back and try it again. It seemed like the mint was too sweet and/or not minty enough, but I could just be crazy, or just not know what I'm talking about since I'm a first timer, and may be comparing it to 40 years of regular old ice cream! I also want to try the strawberry basil sorbet! That sounds great! I'll prob go back on the next nice day! Update: now 5 stars! My virgin gelato spot! So happy and nervous that it is literally at the END OF MY BLOCK! Can you say weight gain?!?! :o I love that they allow you to taste their super fresh homemade, handmade flavors! Some flavors appear to be rotating and/or seasonal, with s few constants-the good ol' standby's! Right now they gave Spiced Pumpkin, but I was bummed when I went in the other night and asked for a taste, but they had just run out...boo! I did however try the Hazlenut (too gritty for me), and the Raspberry-Mint Sorbetto (amazingly fresh and natural tasting, and wildly refreshing!). Ultimately, I tried, and HANDS DOWN DECIDED UPON, the Van Brunt Stillhouse Bourbon Chocolate! Oh my!!! It was like chocolate mousse! So rich, full of that great liqueur flavor, local (Red Hook distillery), and probably the best chocolate flavor I can say I have ever tasted! Not that it needed anything at all, but it would be nice paired with fresh, homemade whipped cream-like chocolate mousse is usually served! ~suggestion box~

I wish I could give this place 1,000 stars! I am ice cream obsessed, but very rarely think any particular brand/store is amazing. Dolce Brooklyn is out of this world!!!! I never had it when it was located in Red Hook, but went this past weekend, for the first time, to the Carroll Gardens shop. Oh! My!!! Wow! I got half mint straciatella (chocolate chip) and half espresso straciatella. The flavors were incredible. My son had chocolate and my friend had cookies and cream. I just can't say enough. Texture, flavor...all supreme. My dog stole my son's cone when he was only about three licks in, and he immediately started sobbing. The owner immediately replaced the treat. Minutes later, we were talking and she (the owner) asked if she could take a picture of my son. I said yes, and when he "posed," my dog once again robbed him of his cone. It was hilarious and painful...and replaced again! What a treasure this place is. I haven't yet tried the macarons, but you can bet I will. RUN, to this storefront.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yummmmmmmmmmmm! This place is great, excellent gelato and sorbet made all in the back of the store. All the gelatos are gluten free, all the sorbets are dairy free, and all the flavors are just delicious. They were kind enough to let us taste almost every flavor. (Helps that we were the only ones in the shop.) I went with half blueberries and cream gelato and half strawberry basil sorbet. It was the perfect combination. Every bite was delightful. Literally every time I had the strawberry basil I stopped and said "shit, that's fresh." So, so tasty. Rest of the people in my party went with fior de latte, which was soft and dreamy sweet milk, cookies and cream, which I think was probably the fior de latte with cookie chunks mixed in, which I personally thought it benefited from, and the serious chocolate, which aptly was seriously chocolatey. The medium is huge, we took home leftovers. I can't wait to go home and finish mine off. Plus this gelato place is an extra excuse to trek out to Red Hook!

UMMM.....YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! Seriously? How can you not like a place that has *2* Chocolates?!! And of the 2, one is named "Seriously" Chocolate!! The other: Bourbon Chocolate, which can only be defined as HEAVENLY!!!! You know a place is good, when you sample and the first 2 flavors are what you go with: no need to explore the others!! Let's start with the gelato. It was creamy and good, but my chocolate gelato was a tad bit too sweet. My husband had bourbon chocolate gelato, and his was less sweet and very delicious. Gelato is not supposed to be cloyingly sweet. The staff are very friendly and informative. The space is clean. I would come again, but just order a different flavour.

Delicious ! Stopped in while on a bike ride and was pleasantly surprised. Had a small gelato. Their small is around 5 dollars. The cup is a good size holds a good amount ! I had half mango sorbet and half cookies and cream. The mango was clearly made with fresh mango which is light refreshing and awesome. Cookies and cream was creamy and delish. Much lighter feeling than most gelato I've had but it was still very good. Left me feeling good They also offer soup espresso and tea. One bench outside for outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside. Great spot for some gelato in Red Hook !

Stopped by here yesterday after ending up on the Brooklyn-bound Governor's Island ferry and landing in unfamiliar Red Hook. I will possibly be back just for this place! Excellent ice cream. Rich, not-too-sweet chocolate, and the lemon sorbet is light and tart and a perfect contrast to the chocolate. Most of all, the woman working the window was so nice when I asked for clarity on one of the flavors. It was ignorance on my part, but she made me feel good about it.

Definitely one of the best gelatos ever! The Bourbon Chocolate was absolutely delicious. The flavor, texture, consistency ... everything was perfect. I don't believe I've ever had a bourbon flavored gelato. Highly recommended!

Great find after going to Ikea, so much cheaper than other parts of Brooklyn and super tasty!!

Great place! Definitely something to try, I would probably go to Red Hook just for their ice-cream... You need to try their affogato, one of the best I've ever had (I followed their recommendation to have it with their "flor de leche" flavor). I went there with three friends, we tried 6 different flavors in total and they were all super good!! (And the neighborhood is great to hang out for a quiet day away from the city craziness).

Best affogado I've ever tried. It might have something to do with their artisinal Gelato, which is also one of the best I've ever tried. Place is very clean and owner is friendly.

Can't say enough good things about this new Gelato shop. Wonderful all around. Very friendly family owned business and the various flavors are out of this world and are completely homemade and fresh daily! Try the blueberry if you can. Additionally they are dog friendly with a water bowl outside so stop by on a walk.

After stuffing our faces with BBQ, of course ice-cream was the logical next step. It helped that it was a hot, sticky day and the idea of trying to walk off lunch was quickly turned into "get us into air-conditioning stat!" Entering Dolce, it's a quiet, clean little frozen treat spot with lots of interesting items on their menu, a solid non-dairy selection for those who can't for the life of them digest lactose-proteins. On deck when we walked in was this delightful cucumber lemon mint gelato, which I had paired with a rich dark chocolate gelato. Citrus and chocolate - my weakness. The cucumber lemon mint was perfect for a hot summer day and very refreshing. They let you try as much as you'd like and all the ice-creams and gelato's are made in-house.
