Dolce Salato Pizza Pasta and Gelato Fort Lauderdale

It’s a cute little place. It honestly gives off the vibe of pizza places you see in movies and or tv shows. The food is really good from the pizza to the lasagna. Also the prices are great for the portion sizes! I come in every chance I get. The people are always very nice and respectful. They don’t rush you or get annoyed with you even if you’re a little drunk.

I usually get pizza on Fridays and being on vacation for the first time in Fort Lauderdale / Lauderdale by the Sea. Did extensive research finding a locally great pizzas shop. I went out of my way of ordering my normal pepperoni and got a "Rustic" Personal, and it was divine. Everything from the toppings to sauce and cheese. Tried some coffee gelato and was divine and so fresh. This is seriously THE mom and pop shop to visit if you're from here or visiting! Also if I wasn't clear, exceptional kind service.

A group of us took a ride over to Wilton Manors from Ft. Lauderdale to try the pizza. The pizza was fine and the paninis were very good. I ordered a personal cheese pizza, and the pizza was fine, not great. The crust was crispy, the tomato sauce had little flavor and the cheese was fresh. My brother ordered the meat lovers pizza, and with all of the toppings, he enjoyed his pizza. My partner and his sister ordered the San Remo (vegetarian) panini with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, mayo-pesto house made spread, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They both enjoyed their sandwiches. Overall, nice stop for lunch.

As new residents in the area, we’ve been exploring local spots, and Dolce Salato is already shaping up to be our go-to for pizza. We ordered delivery and were blown away by the quality, even from the comfort of our home. The Food: The pizza arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The crust struck the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings tasted vibrant and well-prepared. We tried the Margherita and one of their specialty pies—both were top-notch. The gelato, which we couldn’t resist adding to our order, was rich, creamy, and indulgent—a sweet highlight of the meal. The Service: Even through delivery, the experience was seamless. Our order arrived promptly, still piping hot, and was carefully packaged. You can tell this team cares about their customers, even when dining remotely. The Ambiance (at home!): While we haven’t dined in yet, Dolce Salato’s ability to deliver restaurant-quality food to our doorstep speaks volumes. We can’t wait to visit the restaurant in person to soak up the vibe and see the team behind these amazing dishes. For anyone in Fort Lauderdale looking for a standout and solid pizza place, Dolce Salato is a must-try. It’s clear we’ll be ordering from here regularly!

I feel like I stepped back in time. 1980s pizza shop and Gelato merged into one. Mom and pop vibes to the nth degree. Outdoor umbrella seating is so nice and relaxing. I came for an enormous mint chip Gelato on a waffle cone. It was so delicious and refreshing. A good simple dessert that didn't need any fuss. It was perfect. Not gonna lie, the pizza smelled amazing. So I will have to come back for a slice!

My partner and I were feeling like pizza and found this place via Google and we absolutely loved it. We got a large pizza, have meatball polpette and half margharita as well as a Mediterranean salad. It was more than the two of us could eat. The owner himself came and gave us plates and checked on us throughout the meal. Everyone there was super kind and frankly I think this place will be a return visit from us absolutely. When we were winding down one of the folks came and asked if we wanted a box and boxed our leftovers. If you want just a slice or even dessert this spot is worth visiting. We will be trying the dessert after

This place was a shock. Having spent the last few years finding nothing but average to bad pizza, we stroll in here and find quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had, outside of Brooklyn. The staff was extremely attentive, and it was a pleasure to speak with the owner and Chef. Prices were reasonable, and I really felt this place lived up to the 5-star rating. Well done!

Craving a slice? Well Dolce delivers a NYC style pizza slide that is worth every bite. Service is fast assuming there are not too many princesses ahead of you. Ambience is nice with both inside and outside seating. There is some variety in slices in case you are having a moment. This is one of the more economical places on the drive that is quality. To pile on the gelato is decent should you feel like a treat

It's been on my to do list for quite some time. I did a take out order. I had to try one slice of pizza there. It's good. Better than most. I'm sure when I order a fresh pie it will be very good. I ordered meatballs That are moist. Worth getting again. The wings are baked. Came out great. Fat little guys. Next time I'll eat there. And have some gelato that looked amazing.

This place is amazing! Seriously, their pepperoni pizza is one of the best I've ever had! The owner is also super nice. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it!

Although it's just a little storefront hole in the wall, this family run operation serves probably the best slice of pizza in Fort Lauderdale and certainly one of the best scoops of gelato. It's quick, it's easy and it's reasonable. I'm not sure what more one could want

This was an unexpected surprise. My wife and I wanted pizza last night and want to have a traditional pizza. Knowing that pizza is hit or miss we turned to Yelp and started looking at different places. We decided to give Dolce Salato Pizza & Gelato a try based on the reviews and pictures. Absolutely DELICIOUS food. First off the staff was so nice. Very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small and you order at the counter and they bring everything to you. We start with the Caesar salad. Although it's a simple dish, it was very reasonably priced and very fresh. The salad was covered with a good amount of shaved Parmesan cheese. The pizza oh the pizza. We got a large pepperoni. It came out cooked perfectly. It was loaded with pepperoni but It was not greasy. The crust was excellent. Not to think, not to thin, great texture with a little pull when you took a bite. Honestly one of the best traditional pizzas we have had in the area. Another great part. They were not over priced. Definitely returning to this spot. They just have great food. To top it off, we shared their homemade Gelato. It had to be one of the smoothest and creamiest Gelato we have had.

Dolce Salato is the perfect post-Wilton Drive meal! Get delicious pizza by the slice and top off your meal with a sweet gelato treat! Service is quick, ambiance is no frills, and food is yummy! On my last visit, I got a slice of the white pizza and saved room for a cup of amaretto gelato (which I was so excited to eat I forgot to take a picture of). The white pizza had a giant blob of creamy ricotta in the center that was a perfect textural addition. I sampled a couple of flavors of the gelato as well, you really can't go wrong! I loved the amaretto flavor! Overall, Dolce Salato is a Wilton staple, and the reason is clear!

Dulce Salato has become our favorite pizza spot in Broward! We always visit this spot after a vacation. We land in Ft. Lauderdale and always stop here on the way home. Let's begin with parking. There is a public parking garage (outdoor) a block south west of the restaurant. It's on Wilton Drive and NE8th Terrace. You can sometimes find irking on the street. This is a very lively and entertaining lgbtq area, with lots of bars and restaurants in surrounding are. This place is always packed but there are about three tables outside. The pizza is great! We always order a large pie. Half meat lover and half plain. Extra toasted. Lots of meat on the pizza. The owners are very friendly and service is pretty fast. They also serve gelato! Definitely stop by and try it. Prices are reasonable.

Great pizza, friendly service, cosy environment. Not high-end, but overall great. The only disappointment was that they didn't have any large bottles of sparkling water. I don't really understand why, but hopefully they can change that. Enjoy your meal we did.

Amazing food. Salad, meatball platter and a hot pizza. Service is always friendly with a smile, food is hot and tastes great. If you eat here enough like we do you can also earn some points towards a discount or something. This has become a regular place for us

Wonderful selection of daily made gelato! The gelato is much creamier than most other places. The flavors are all great and it was hard to choose only 3 flavors.

We stopped here for lunch while in the area and LOVED the pizza and gelato. Hubby got a meatlovers stuffed pizza, I got a ricotta and spinach stuffed pizza, and kiddo got a cheese pizza. They were all delicious. The crust was crispy and the flavors...yum! We shared a chocolate gelato for dessert which was fantastic. The restaurant itself is a small, nothing special, but it is clean and comfortable. The service was great. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

Back in South Florida & Jonesing big time for a repeat visit to Dolce Salato. Like in Italy, there's an abundance of specialty pizzas to be had here. Very difficult to choose which one to get. But, Dolce Salato has you covered in the form of a 16" 1/2 & 1/2 pie. You get two completely different compositions on the same 16", 360° pie with no up charge. Simple pizza brilliance. Tonight, I decided to get 2 1/2 & 1/2's. A Margherita & tricolore on one, and a Caprese and polpette grandmas on the other. All were excellent and dead on accurate representations of true Italian (not NYC) pizza. Dolce Salato (sweet & savory) is truly an oasis in the desert of South Florida pizza.

I think this is the best pizza in South Florida and drive 30 minutes for it. They are very friendly and offer pizza by the slice if you don't want a whole pie. A nice day spot as well with inside seating and outside seating in the shade!

This place is a keeper. I was looking a good NY style pizza while visiting Pompano Beach, but instead I found a great one. Perfect crust, delicious sauce and excellent toppings. One of the better pizzas I've had in a long time and I eat a lot of pizza. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy with ample seating both inside and out. On a nice day the outside is the way to go. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. And definitely say Yes to the gelato. Smooth, creamy and delicious. The perfect end to a great meal.

Always stoked to have a dedicated pizza place open and available for late nights on Wilton drive. The staff is always so friendly, the quality of pizza is always perfect, and the gelato is the sweetest treat. It is a staple and we love it here!!!!

I don't understand how this pizza has good ratings. Cheese tastes like s*** and the pizza is way too doughy. Talk about jaw hurting from having to chew so hard/much. Garbage

Delicious dinner. Loved pizza by the slice. We tasted all of them. Peroni on draught. The Biancaneve was my favorite. The pepperoni was really nice also. The stuffed veggie was tasty! Then we finished it off with homemade tiramisu.

I wanted a cute little spot on "The Drive" with delicious pizza and that's definitely what you get here. Who knew it was going to be an authentic Italian place!! My friend and I ordered a small side Greek salad (not pictured), 6 garlic Parmesan wings (not pictured) , and 2 personal pizzas. The crust perfect ! Tasted super authentic. I've never had a meatball pizza with ricotta and needless to say I was impressed. The sauce for the wings was nothing like I've had before. I'm happy they put it on the side without me asking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside. There was a young girl who waited on us. Very attentive and super sweet ! We will be back to try the gelato. It looked wonderful.

Dolce Salato is by far the best pizza in Wilton Manors perhaps all of the greater Fort Lauderdale area. I am from Brooklyn and New Jersey I know pizza and theirs is excellent. Classic with some more upscale flavors. Nice people, clean place. I am not an ice-cream/gelato lover but friend rave about it. Ther is pizza for when your drinking (that place is down the street) and there is pizza for when you want a tasty meal that is here.

You want real deal Italian, you go here! This place has some of the best pizzas and gelato I've ever encountered. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is so cute and quaint. Love hearing the authentic accents and the familial interactions.

One of my favorite pizzas in Ft. Lauderdale. I only have two. I highly recommend it. The Americana Pizza is excellent.

My last lunch at Dolce Salato was really good. I decided to get their Eggplant Parmigiana lasagna...I always get their pizza...which is great...but I decided I wanted to try something different. It came with a side salad. The side salad was beautifully prepared...the presentation was really nice. It came with my choice of Italian dressing on the side. The only downside is that they used iceberg lettuce as the bed of the salad...not the most nutritious nor tasty choice of lettuce....but everything else was good. The lasagna was delicious...a generous portion baked to perfection. I enjoyed every bite. It was firm but at the same time, moist and easy to enjoy. My friend Bob got a panini. It was a good size sandwich with a side of potat chips. Both were really good as well. Overall a great place for a quick meal.

The pizza looked and smelled great. The Gelato looked very appetizing. I went there specifically for their gelato. The place was busy but not overwhelmed. I waited 20 minutes on the gentleman to wait on me and he was busy slicing pizzas and talking on the phone. I made eye contact several times and even held up my credit card but he was totally insensitive and wrapped up in his phone conversation. There were others in the kitchen but apparently this guy was the only one who could take orders. I left without even an acknowledgement that I was at the counter. This man does not know how to treat people who want to spend money in his establishment. I won't be returning any time soon. Service is everything in a service oriented business!!!!!

Delicious pizza and gelato! We started with a caprese salad with thick slices of fresh mozz, big basil leaves, and tomato slices on a bed of greens with a light, flavorful vinaigrette on the side. Four of us split it. Then the pizza arrived - The crust is a thinish type- light, airy, crispy, crunchy. Perfectly balanced and doesn't overpower the toppings. We tried the sausage and pepperoni - crumbles of flavorful sausage and tasty pepperoni amply covering the red sauce topped with cheese... and a Margherita with big basil leaves, Fresh mozz, and delicious red sauce. The gelato? Ah -mazing! Took a few photos of the many flavor options. We tried the amaretto, salted Carmel, and a combo of coconut and chocolate (like a mounds bar) so delicious and a perfect ending to a great meal!

This place always get high reviews but I have to say after getting four pizzas delivered over the years all four were so salty I could not eat the pizza. I think it comes from something they sprinkle on the bottom of the pizza. Last time I ordered I called and asked if they could omit whatever causes the salty flavor but pizza still the same. Expensive pizza to get delivered and it not be enjoyable.

We had such a great experience! Delicious pizza and cheese bread. The atmosphere was relaxing as well. There is counter service and take-out but there are also some tables, too, if you choose to stay. It's also perfect because you can get some homemade gelato right after as a dessert

Lived in NYC for 15 years (and a few years in Italy)....so candidly, I am very biased and particular about my pizza ! This place delivered the best pizza I've had in YEARS!!!! WOW.... The crust....perfect combination of crunchy/crispy AND a tiny bit chewy....freakin' perfection. We ordered slices of all the pies they had ready...all were fantastic! We got a couple orders of lasagna, since one of our group has to eat lasagna when on the menu; he said it definitely was one of the best he'd eaten. Salad came with the lasagna....and I kept saying , that darn salad must have been made to order; freshest salad ever! Delicious !!! We had gelato to end and it was just as good as everything else. We have finally found our go-to pizza joint in Ft Lauderdale! Congrats guys on your ingredients, attention to detail and friendly service!

Here from nyc for the winter glad we finally tried this place. The best pizza I've had in broward. Reminds me of keste in nyc. Great family run place. Sauce is just acidic enough and not sweet. Hughe choice of paninis. Nice covered patio.

Chef/Cook was coughing several times while preparing the food. No mask. Did not cover face. Disgusting. We had to throw out the food. After the Covid pandemic, I would expect more from restaurants when their employees are sick. And I recently read that in Florida, Covid cases are "very high". Shameful.

Dolce is a pizza shop but it is heads and shoulders above all the pizza places in the area. They also sell delicious focaccia bread which is perfect for sandwiches.

We were first time customers after hearing good things from two neighbors. We ordered two pizzas and a house salad to go. We had a small sausage and also a large Margarita. Both were good on day one and days 2 and 3. The salad was served in a very small container. It was packed with a good serving, just hard to eat from the to go container. We loved the leftover pizza cold and/or reheated. The staff were cordial and efficient and the on-line order was ready as promised. We will be back.

Wife and I were in the mood for some good pasta, we found this place and MY GOODNESS what a find. She ordered the homemade lasagna and I had a meatball calzone. First off GREAT service, secondly AMAZING crust on the calzone. It was nicely charred bubbly crispy and chewy in the middle. In my opinion a PERFECT dough/crust. Let's get to the meatballs. So many places rave about their meatballs and they're usually dry, NOT HERE! these were some of the juiciest most tender and flavourful that I'd had in a while. The cheese sauce had a beautiful blend of what I think is ricotta mozzarella Parmesan and two other cheeses I can't sus out, regardless they were a perfect blend with the herbs used. The LASAGNA, my brother in heaven you guys gotta patent that sauce. It was so full of fresh tomato flavor with basil. The layers were clearly methodically placed and honestly, the only REGRET I have is not getting a gelato. If I could give 6 stars I would, don't miss this place on your next pizza craving.

Finally got around to ordering from Dolce Salato Pizza in Wilton Manors. We ordered the white pizza (spinach & ricotta) and we added bacon to it. Also the meat pizza (con carne). The crust on both pizzas was amazing! Love their sausage on the meat pizza...it has a little kick to it. We also ordered a quart of gelato (your choice of 3 flavors) and it looks delicious. Too full to eat it just yet but it looks so good...we can't wait! They have free delivery, just call them directly.

I come from the Chicago area so I know good pizza. Pizza here was very very good.. not quite as good as I get in the Chicago area but better than most places in Florida. Very friendly atmosphere. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Went for the first time today craving pizza and gelato. The pizza was a little disappointing very doughy with no crunch and barely any sauce on it, also it could have used some olive oil. The gelato was on point and the service was great very nice people.

The pizza here is by far the best I've had in Broward. You can order customized with any toppings you like. It has perfect amount of cheese and the perfect crispy pizza crust. Parking is always a bit of the luck of the draw especially on weekends but it is Wilton Manors on the Drive. Don't miss this place!

The pizza was the best pizza I have had in Florida. The next time I go there I will ask for less cheese as the pizza had a bit more cheese then I like. The gelato was very good. I have had gelato all over he world and I can honestly say that this was the best I ever had. I am not related in any way to any one that is involved with the business.
