"We weren’t sure if Doom Bar reminds us more of Dracula’s den or Ozzy Osbourne’s, but then we realized those are one and the same (bat chandelier included). The dark, bi-level bar has plenty of space for groups to down pilsners while Slayer blasts in the background (but not so loud you can’t hear your date). Enjoy the Doom Me cocktail (a smooth blend of amaro, rhubarb, and rye), any of the six beers on draft, or the rare herbal whiskeys and rums on the menu. It’s a fun place for wings, fries, and a braised beef sandwich before or after a show at The Franklin Music Hall. Or skip the concert altogether—Doom is just as lively." - Candis R. McLean

Incredible art, friendly service, and an excellent menu. Aa cocktails go the unholy word was heavenly, and the doom me was a chocolate-y \ coffee flavored delight. For spice lovers, the doom wings are no joke; I'm rarely impressed by so called spicy options, but this one came to play.

Great food at great prices. They have some unique crafted cocktails and local draft beers too. The atmosphere is awesome. The music volume is up so you know you’re listening to metal but not so loud that you can’t talk with your friends. A great spot to spend some time on these hot days.

Unique atmosphere and the best bar food I’ve ever tasted. They also have a separate gluten-free fryer that made a member of our party with Celiac very happy!

Delicious food, attentive staff, cool-as-hell vibes. The happy hour selections before our concert were a great deal. I'll come back to Doom every time we are in the area for concerts.

Me and my Girlfriend are in town from Tulsa Oklahoma to visit family and attending a concert at Franklin Music hall. We stopped by Doom 3 times and every experience was super dope, we destroyed the skewered duck hearts and the nachos were dope! The drinks were spicy and hot guuurrrrllllll. Incredibly friendly staff and a dope dope dope bone chandelier hanging to pull the whole place together. The bartenders said this place is only a few months old and I say they are worthy to stay open for a long time. If you’re from Philly or just passing through, give Doom some love.

Super awesome brand new alternative bar! Much bigger than most Philly bars, great staff, the most amazing art on display from a ton of local artists. Make sure to look up and admire the chandelier! They do events, art showings/sales, and a really unique cocktail and food menu!

I love this bar. I love metal. I love the food. The verde chicken nachos are so good. I wish the fried Brussels sprouts were a mainstay because they’re so insane good. All the bartenders are nice , especially April. I just hope one day rhey do a nightmare on elm st marathon while I’m in here.

Yelp
Be the first person to sing praises for Doom on Yelp? Don't mind if I doom (https://youtu.be/OxzpVaiP6eg?si=Ph7WmtiZ84_nymLW)! When I first heard that the space that used to house old Whiskey Dix and Voltage Lounge was becoming Doom Bar, and saw that artists like Doomed Future (https://www.instagram.com/doomedfuture/) and Sea of Doom (https://www.instagram.com/seaofdoom/) were contributing art to the interior I was instantly curious. Then when I heard that it was designed to cater towards casual and diehard fans of all things metal, horror, and dark art I was all kinds of sold! Seeing that its first art show was happening after my friend's holiday cookie exchange party was the perfect opportunity to check it out, and I enjoyed everything that it had to offer. Sea of Doom's stained glass windows, Doom Future's bathroom art, a freaking bone chandelier, and then some added onto the overall aesthetic of the bar. The upper balcony area played host to the art show curated by Sue Moerder (https://www.instagram.com/suemoerderskullart/), and there should be new art gallery displays semi-regularly. Instead of things like sports, it was also cool to see the televisions showing things like classic horror film trailers and scenes. While the old music venue stage was changed up to have table seating that included old church pews, its not implausible to think that a heavy metal bar near a music venue like Franklin Music Hall could have music events in the not-too-distant future. If I weren't dining with vegans I likely would have savored in sharing the communal bone marrow with the table. But Doom had an enticing menu for vegan and meat-eating diners alike. The Sichuan dry rub seitan nuggets were a fiery house of spice that I just couldn't quit. Yet somehow it also wasn't the hottest thing on the menu since the DOOM sauce is labeled as really fucking spicy!!! The libations manu included plenty of enticing cocktails, spirits wine, and a non-alcoholic Sacred Tea. But I was happy to see a draft list that featured plenty of local offerings from the likes of Attic Brewing,, Carbon Copy, and Space Cadet. It's only been open for less than a month now. But with events like its art gallery showing and photos with Krampus Doom is already off to a good start, and it gives good reason to check out their Instagram for the latest on even more events (https://www.instagram.com/doom.bar/)!

Yelp
A very open and dark space with some unique some unique elements like cool lights and art help set the mood. Other than the dark decor this is a pretty basic bar. Something about it reminded me of the barcade in center city- maybe the floor plan. Anyway there are two floors. First floor is spacious and has bar seating and high top tables. Looks like there's a space for live music. The 2nd level is a balcony that overlooks the first. There's a small bar and regular tables as well as a cozy couch. The walls are adorn w some art. My friend had a hot dog that looked pretty good and vegan wings- the sauce was tasty. Drink list was unremarkable but my drink was good. They played heavy metal music as promised and much kudos to being able to hear the music and still be able to hear the bar tender and the people you are with without shouting.
