Modern European nothing
"Dorian Gray, the Buckhead restaurant named for the hedonistic main character from Oscar Wilde’s novel “A Picture of Dorian Gray”, suddenly closed last week after just five months. Opened by Bo Kvrgic and Nemanja Filipovic in December, Dorian Gray took over the former Yebo Beach Haus space, transforming it into a see-and-be-seen vibe with food and drinks channeling the south of France and coastal European cities all soundtracked by house music. Eater received two anonymous tips indicating Dorian Gray closed without notice Monday, May 15. One tip states that the restaurant’s employees recently walked out due to “nonpayment of wages.” A handful of reviews left by patrons of Dorian Gray on Yelp and Google over the last three weeks also cite staffing issues at the restaurant. “Dorian Gray has permanently closed due to reported mismanagement by the previous owners listed on the website, Nemanja Filipovic and Bo Kvrgic,” a statement provided to Eater by a representative speaking on behalf of the restaurant claims. “The new owners have paid all previous employees in full. A new concept will open in the space in the coming weeks.”" - Beth McKibben
"The Buckhead building on the corner of West Paces and East Andrews has seen its share of popular restaurant concepts (Yebo—relocated, and Coast—which fell with the H2SR empire). Keeping the beachy-feeling outdoor patio and the same divided dining room and bar as the others before it, current occupant Dorian Gray is bringing buzz back to the venue with DJ’s playing house music, vintage Buckhead–meets-St. Tropez vibes, and well-garnished cocktails. Now, adorned with Victorian artworks and stark white tablecloths, Dorian Gray offers a coastal European menu, in which everything can be upgraded with $50 shaved truffle. And all their menu items—from veal bolognese to wagyu carpaccio—are enjoyable, but the well-seasoned ribeye (grilled then finished in a cast iron skillet) is the best reason to make this your new date night go-to." - Nina Reeder
"A restaurant named after the hedonistic character from Oscar Wilde’s novel, offering coastal European and south of France vibes with food, drinks, and house music. The menu includes appetizers, main courses, wines, beer, and cocktails. A DJ spins on the patio three days a week." - Beth McKibben
