This Montrose steakhouse offers its happy hour menu all night on Monday. That’s likely because the $6 seasonal bread and butter plate, served with three different miniature housemade loaves, tastes way too incredible to only be available for a couple of hours a day. The Walnut Old Fashioned ($22) blends Angel’s Envy Bourbon with walnut liqueur and maple-glazed toasted walnut for an added warm, nutty sweetness. "Doris Metropolitan in Montrose is a steakhouse with a Mediterranean bent from the folks behind Hamsa. Dinner here might feel a little like eating steak with your coworkers—everyone is almost also filing in from an office somewhere—but the food is certainly more refined than your average work party. Especially given the steaks are aged in-house. We suggest sitting at the bar where you can gaze at the chandelier inside the aging room, watch folks meet up and awkwardly shake hands, and (most importantly) get swift, laid-back service. "As if the buzzy vibe around the bar at Doris Metropolitan during happy hour isn’t reason enough to venture in, getting a taste of the decadent Doris burger, which is only available then, surely is. All day on Mondays and Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Doris burger, served with truffle fries, is available alongside shareables like tuna tartare, kofta kebab, tenderloin skewers, and half-dozen oysters for $12. Pair with a $10 highball or glass of wine, or enjoy a full bottle of Justin Cabernet for $50.
