"This contemporary Korean restaurant, a la NYC stalwarts Atomix and Jungsik, dazzles with its 10-course tasting menus ($175) served at the six-seat chef’s counter. The selection of reimagined Hanguk creations is inspired by the seasons in Korea and is as pleasing to look at as they are to ingest. Makgeolli-braised baby pineapple with a gochujang-sugar cane glaze, trout roe, and black sesame is a work of art. At the same time, hamachi with konjac noodles, cucumber, and tomato-dongchimi shaved ice is a cool sweet-and-sour stunner. Add-ons include truffles ($50), caviar ($60), sake ($60) and wine ($85)." - Faiyaz Kara

"It's located in a shopping center, but this Korean-American fine dining restaurant surprises with a modern and understated flair. The dining room features a more casual à la carte menu while the six-seat chef's counter offers an elevated 12-course tasting menu with seasonally changing themes.A recent Joseon dynasty royal court cuisine menu featured the likes of Patagonian scallop tartare tossed in Peruvian uni and served with a fried cracker of seaweed. Grilled Wagyu with black garlic and Kaluga caviar is balanced by bright pear, but it's the hot pot that stands out with its savory broth bobbing with octopus, meatballs, tofu, pork belly, shrimp and vegetables. A hearty portion of hand-pulled noodles is served alongside for a fun family-style dish." - Michelin Inspector

Took wife for 10-course Chef’s table experience. It was pricey but worth it. Was very nice to almost have restaurant to ourselves with direct contact with head chef and staff. We were able to get explanations of every dish and share experiences. We enjoyed seeing staff respond to our great experience. Still talking about the skill, artistry, and flavors. We also enjoyed sake flight with dinner. Only issue were Chairs were a little uncomfortable for time spent at long dinner. Wish there was more back support.

Great Korean fusion! Our favorites were the Cheese Tteokbokki, KFC wings, Galbi skewer, Chicken meatball skewer, pork belly skewer, and Shrimp Fire Noodles, and Seafood Bibimbap. It's definitely more of a tapas style restaurant, but the portions are good and prices are reasonable. Recommend making reservations. Service was friendly, and I appreciated that they sought feedback on the food at the end. I'll definitely be coming back! Edit: While the seafood bibimbap was better this time, the mackerel jorim and grilled sea bass were very fishy and disappointing. They still have some kinks to figure out. Edit: Came back and they've fixed the kinks! The prix fix menu was great, and we enjoyed almost every dish. The galbijjim was much better this time as well.

One of the best dining experiences Ive ever had! We did the 10 course chefs table option and it was basically impossible to pick a favorite because each course was so unique and so delicious! Chef Mike was fantastic and a joy to be around and Maddy the pastry chef made some other worldly dessert that I had to slow down to savor! Now that I know its there an will have new menu items monthly I will definitely be back!

Hubby treated me to a “Chef’s Table Dining Experience” (10 courses) at Doshi, located in Winter Park. There were plenty of parking spots at this site, so you don’t have to find street parking….but we still opted to Uber from our hotel. The sign outside is modern and minimalistic, quite unassuming. The experience I had was quite EXTRAORDINARY! I am quite critical of gourmet food (sorry, not sorry🤣). Chef Mike is a genius!!! His menu for Doshi is gourmet Korean-Japanese inspired…but to me, it’s on whole lot of level! I am absolutely excited for his restaurant to achieve a Michelin star! Right now, it’s on a “Bib Gourmand/ Michelin Recommended” status….BUT I believe that this place is well above the many of 1, even 2 star, places that I have eaten from. THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL! I do not give a lot of praises, so I don’t say this lightly. His knowledge of food technicality, balance of sweet, salty, creamy, mild, spice, textures and color is mind boggling. I was speechless for almost all the food that I tasted that night…and I usually have a lot to say🤣 (Hi, I’m Asian Karen for a reason). Hubby did the Sake pairing and said that they were all very good with complimenting the dishes served. Service was great,as well as attention to detail throughout our meal. I highly, highly recommend checking out this place and doing the Chefs Table Dining Experience. Expect great things!

Google
Doshi was so amazing, and a very good date night. The parking lot threw us off a bit, because don’t get me wrong I love a good Sephora trip, but on a date night you want something a little nicer, but the food definitely makes up for it. The decor inside is very basic, but clean and sleek. A very good dress up and look sexy with lots of yummy food kind of vibe. We ordered 3 appetizers 3 entrees and a crudo, they offered a 7 course but we wanted to try more a la carts options, and we were happy with our decision. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, fried chicken, and wavy fried rice for appetizers, all were absolutely delish, would highly recommend. The salmon crudo was a let down for me, the salmon tasted smoked and there was a rubbery skin on it which I didn’t love. For entrees we ordered the skirt steak, scallops and the lamb. All entrees were cooked to perfection and the sides were great, the kimchi potatoes with the steak didn’t knock my socks off, but the appetizers were great sides so we were definitely not lacking food. My fiancé wanted to try the flan and I’m so glad we did, it was lights, fresh, and not too sweet. 10/10 would recommend Doshi for your next date night! Also bathroom lighting is so great!

Google
Doshi was lovely. A different take on the chef's table. I do find the atmosphere a little noisy as it's is in the main dining area. It takes away from the elegance. Even so, the food was great and I enjoyed the culinary adventure from the Chef.

Google
Decent food but very Americanized, not the type of place to go if you’re looking for authentic Korean ingredients, or even elevated Korean food - it’s more like American food with gochujang and some rice cakes. The atmosphere is nice but the overall experience is not worth the price tag. The desserts were great; the savory food was a hit or miss. The Hamachi Crudo and Black Sesame Panna Cotta were the best items.

Google
Fantastic chef's table experience! Amazing food, very kind and attentive service, and an overall relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Enjoyed a special celebration tonight, but we'll definitely be back to try the a la carte experience someday as well.

Yelp
We finally tried this place earlier this month, and we were so sad to hear they're closing at the end of October. My husband & I both ordered the prixe fixe menu and ordered the opposite thing so we could try a variety of things. Portions were small, but we left both feeling satisfied. We weren't overly full where we felt like we stuffed ourselves to the point of being uncomfortable, but we weren't still starving like how you leave some places because portions were so small.

Caroline C.

Yelp
Food: did the pre fixe. Deliciously balanced Korean influenced flavors. Service: one server for the whole restaurant but she was very attentive and always made sure we had water. Ambiance: modern clean and romantic They will be closing at the end of the month. I highly recommend giving them a visit before then.

Amy C.

Yelp
I heard Doshi was closing soon and wanted to try it out before they closed. It was on my dining list but I just never made it over. Had early reservations. We were greeted and seated immediately when we walked in. It is dark and intimate inside. I was dining with my son. We did 3 appetizers and 2 entrees. Started with the hamachi, mushroom noodle soup and kimchi fried rice. The hamachi was the best appetizer. I felt like the mushroom soup was missing something. For entrees I did the seafood bibimbap and my son ordered the wagyu and potatoes. The wagyu was slightly salty. The bibimbap was good but I think I prefer traditional. I have to say this is my first time eating fancy Korean food. The service was excellent though. We walked out with leftovers of course with the amount of food we ordered for 2. Glad I came to try doshi.

Yelp
Doshi - one of the most exciting new restaurants in Orlando. Combining traditional Korean flavors with modern-day culinary techniques, Doshi excels in concocting fresh, aromatic dishes that leave you wanting more. For my fellow vegetarians, Doshi was gracious enough to invite me in and step up to the challenge in creating a six-course vegetarian prix fixe affair that truly blew me away. I felt as though there was no corners cut and no shortcuts taken to pass off any dish as vegetarian. Their culinary expertise was put on full display as this amazing kitchen developed some dishes on the spot! Words are not enough to describe how inspiring it is to sit and eat at Doshi. The atmosphere is bubbling with energy, intrigue, and passion

Yelp
I had an exceptional dining experience. ! Reservations are preferred. Service was great. Love the atmosphere. Great for couples or friends night out. Food was great. We had the Cheesy Tteokbokki, crispy Brussels sprouts, seafood bibimbap, and fish of day. I forgot to take pictures because I was enjoying the experience. Everything is meant to be shared. Will definitely visit again. Featured in the Michelin Guide. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
Came here with a couple friend. The girlfriend of the couple was Korean and she was pretty impressed. My guy friend is a sucker for desserts and said they were incredible so definitely save room. We unanimously agreed that the tteokbokki was mediocre so recommend skipping it. I quite liked the octopus but they both thought it was a little dry and overcooked. Oysters were on point so definitely get those. Attentive service and quite nice interior design with nice plates.

Yelp
What an amazing concept and so sad to hear that they are closing! However, I am truly glad that my wife and I got to experience this place as it exceeded expectations. I took my wife here for her birthday back in June and we had such an amazing time. We were actually quite surprised how empty the restaurant was for such an upscale and interesting concept, our waitress told us that it was due to slow season in Orlando as summer isn't the best season. That didn't affect our experience at all and actually was quite nice to have a more intimate setting together. We opted for the prix fixe menu as that made the most sense and gave my wife and I a chance to try everything on the menu basically. They also were able to accommodate my wife being sensitive to spicy food so they allowed her to choose either a double option of one of the dishes or a few other suggestions added to her menu. We were grateful how accommodating they were. Our server was also super attentive and polite and she helped us make our night special which I loved. We loved each dish and to be honest the portion sizes were pretty solid given the price. My wife and I enjoyed every dish and there was maybe only one in which we weren't as thrilled. All in all I really loved this concept and I'm truly sad to see them go as I feel like upscale Korean such as this is rare to find. We hope they open again soon and maybe even migrate down to south Florida hint hint ;)

Yelp
I actually came across Doshi from quickly flipping through a Winter Park magazine, and I'm glad I paid attention! My husband and I love trying new places, and we love omakase experiences. Unfortunately (but understandably so), omakase and multi course meals usually come with a higher price tag. What drew us into Doshi was their 7-course tasting menu for $85 per person. Having really splurged on Michelin Star omakase experiences in the past for special occasions, we thought this would be a fun, more affordable date night, and it was! At first, we were surprised to find it in the same shopping plaza as Whole Foods and Sephora, but we liked that we didn't have to stress over finding a parking spot. The restaurant looks a little plain from the outside, but everything is very new, pretty and sleek on the inside. Our server was great! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He looked familiar and when he came back, I asked him if he used to serve at Ava (another local fav of mine) and he had! Anyway, on to the food! As I said before, we did the 7-course tasting menu. My husband and I enjoyed every bite. We loved the presentation and someone telling us about each course. We also did the wine pairing, which was a nice addition to the experience. If your budget doesn't allow for the tasting menu, or if you are a little more particular with what you eat, they have an a la cart menu, which might be a better fit. But I have heard nothing but amazing things about the 10-course chef's counter experience, so I hope to try that next time!

Nicole N.

Yelp
We went for my fiancès 30th birthday and had the best time splurging. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. We did the prefix menu to try a little bit of everything and it did not disappoint. What an amazing experience. My fiance also loved the bathroom because of the bidet haha. It was a fairy tale evening.

Yelp
I've been coming here consistently in the past year and I have to say I've never been disappointed once. I recently went for their winter tasting menu and everything was super creative and so so tasty. They change their menu often and entirely so you can keep going back for an entirely new experience every month or so. I've also dine at their dining room with a la carte menu and everything was amazing. Everyone I took to Doshi was impressed and I couldn't rave about this place enough. Chef Mike is awesome and such a creative person. We love our conversation with him every time we visit. Also shout out to Austin for always taking a great care of us. He's one of the most caring and attentive manager in Orlando restaurant scene. If I live closer to Doshi I'd probably visit every week. 100% highly recommend this place for date nights or dinner with friends/family!

Yelp
TL;DR: one of the best chefs table experiences we've had, but expensive (but we thought it was worth it). The food was sooo good. Excellent service. The chef was great and clearly loved what he does. . Plenty of parking. Fairly small restaurant. Great sake options. We came here for the 2024 Valentine's Day Prix fixed menu. It was expensive, but it was a great experience! We have not eaten here in the main restaurant area, so keep that in mind for this review. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The interior was dimly lit, but in a well-designed, intimate way. The chef was great! He was very social and we loved talking to him throughout the experience. The guy clearly loves what he does, and he's good at it! The star of the show (as with any chef's table) was of course the food. We didn't opt for the drink pairings, but I did order a sake flight, which was one of the best sake flights I've had. The food started off with Royal Snacks, an assortment of small items ranging from lobster claw ceviche to kimchi. I loved most of these (but I'm not typically the biggest fan of kimchi, so I'm biased in that one). Then we got the Crab Juk, which was rice porridge with snow crab, topped with uni (sea urchin). We're big fans of crab so we loved this one. Next was the Shima Aji-- striped jack with fermented soy milk. This was a small but very flavorful and rich dish. Next was the Spare Pork Ssam, with fermented plum soy and potato jeom. This dish had a wonderful presentation and complex flavor and was sooo good. The next course was Mushroom Naemgmyeon, with cold noodles in a dongchimi broth. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cold noodles, but it was an interesting flavor! The next dish was the Pan Seared Mackerel Sauce with a doenjang glaze and scorched rice milk. I hadn't had mackerel before, but this dish was really good! Next we were served a Lobster Tail with dekepon, kumato, and gochujang vinaigrette. This was one of the largest lobster tails I've had and the sauce was incredible. This was another complex, but really good flavor! The final dinner item was the Tteokguk A5 Wagyu with rice cake and creamy beef bone broth l. I love steak, so I absolutely loved this dish! It was served in an incredibly flavorful bone broth and was so good! Lastly, the desserts came out together: a salted chocolate covered strawberry, Baesuk Sorbet, and a White Chocolate crème brûlée. The chef explained to us that the salt helps to bring out the sweetness of the strawberry. The sorbet was very creamy in an unexpected way, but it was really good! Lastly the crème brûlée was hard to finish after everything else since it was so rich. That being said it was quite good. The sorbet was definitely my favorite though! After this experience, we definitely want to come back to try the regular dining here!

Yelp
Wish I can do 3 1/2. Staff was very friendly and pretty attentive. Ambience was nice and open, not super loud and the view of the kitchen was a nice touch. We appreciated them being able to take us 30mins before our reservation after calling them ahead. We were sat by the bathrooms and had an unpleasant sewage smell come through occasionally but could also be from the heavy rain today. Our full meal lasted 2 1/2 hrs which is a bit too long for 7 courses in our opinion My partner and I ordered the 7 course meals each from both sides and it started off strong. $ 85/person for 7 courses is an attractive price and we were very excited 1st course The oysters and crudos tasted fresh, clean and creative. 2nd courses Option 1: The cheese Tteokbokki barely had truffle flavors but the smokiness from the cheese was nice. The rice cakes has a nice chewy texture that guides the other flavors as you eat Option 2: Brussel sprouts was great with the pickled beets cutting through the fried sprouts and mustard seeds added a nice texture. This is when our service slowed down quite a bit. It was awhile until course 4. 4th courses Option 1: The octopus was grilled and the bitterness of the burnt parts overpowered the sweetness of the octopus itself, the pumpkin stew and small Korean sausage bits. The flavors fell a bit flat Option 2: Grilled Scallops. Scallops itself was sweet, and green sprouts (tasted like sugar snap peas) was nice. But we miss some acidity from both dishes 5th courses Option 1: grilled prawns were kind of plain and not much bigger than run of the mill shrimp one can get anywhere. the rice grits were of a thick rice porridge consistency but good flavors Option 2: was a roasted halibut in a "sour" bone broth. The halibut was cooked well and had a nice crispy outside. The bone broth while having a slightly sweet light flavor did not have the depth or sourness that we were hoping for. 6th course: was the wagyu galbi, this dish was done very well and the beef was some of the most tender we've had. Very reminiscent to an Irish stew with Korean flavors. We both enjoyed this dish 7th course: Option 1: black sesame panna cotta had a really nice consistency and the cherry jelly cut through the creaminess of the panna cotta. Was not too sweet at all, refreshing Option 2: baesuk flan: it was a quintessential flan flavor but we could not pick up the unique ingredients such as the apple in the caramel

Yelp
I came here for a wonderful dinner with a friend. Inside is small, intimate and a very nice/clean aesthetic. We decided to go with the 7 course prix fixed menu for $85 pp and I feel it was definitely worth it. If one person decides to get this menu, both people have to get it so keep that in mind. What we did was got 1 of each option per wave, so we were able to try all the items it worked out perfect and definitely enough food by the end. Everything we tried was fresh, tasty and the service was great. I would've loved if this place had craft cocktails on the menu, but they only offer sake, wine & beer. All in all, it was a nice experience and I would definitely go back. This restaurant is in a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking available.

David L.

Yelp

Yelp
My husband & I recently had a date night at DOSHI and absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful, clean restaurant with friendly staff and insanely delicious food. We shared the waygu fried rice, black garlic hamachi, kfc wings, and fire octopus and we enjoyed every dish. If you have an open mind with food and want to experience the Korean culture, try DOSHI. They even played Korean music which was a vibe.

Sefa N.

Yelp
Recently, I embarked on a culinary journey at Doshi, eager to explore their renowned tasting menu. While the evening had its highlights, my overall impression warrants a balanced assessment. Opting for the tasting menu, I anticipated a symphony of flavors and textures meticulously crafted by the skilled chefs. While the presentation was impeccable and the ambiance inviting, the taste fell short of expectations. Despite the variety of offerings, some lacked the depth of flavor and finesse I had hoped for. However, amidst the array of dishes, one standout was the tteokbokki. Bursting with bold flavors and perfectly cooked rice cakes, it provided a tantalizing glimpse of the kitchen's potential. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy notes, leaving a lasting impression. The service was nice, parking was accessible. I would definitely try other things on the menu next time I visit!

Chris K.

Yelp
Doshi is a wonderful spot filled with great style and tasty dishes. This franchise has been on our food list for quite some time , but we finally made it out here ! Really loved the interior design and concepts for the entire restaurant. It's a small spot with limited seating , but great views for the kitchen and chefs preparing the meals. They offer a la carte, 6 course, and 10 course meal options. All filled with great options and limited choices but , this consisted of various appetizers , entrees, desserts and drinks. In my opinion I think the appetizers were my favorite and paired really well with everything. Our waiter was amazing and he gave us really good recommendations to not only save money, but also get the most popular dishes. I would like to come back for the 10 course meal , but i don't know if I'm patient enough to sit and eat for over two hours. For this being our first time , I didn't expect it to be two hours to get through all the meals, but every bite helped the time pass by.

Jimmy B.

Yelp
Sigh. I was really excited for this place, and was hoping to give it five stars. I just can't though. Let's dive in: First and foremost, we did the $85 prix fixe meal. This by itself was such a great option, as chef's table after chef's table, while amazing in the Orlando area, is breaking the very modest purse strings that the majority of us are capable of shelling out. A sub $100 seven course tasting menu is a great option to allow you to sample some of the higher end items without fully investing in the chef's table. Now, the food - which is the most important part. It was.. okay. Some great standouts personally, like the hamachi, the wagyu and the scallops. Some items were pretty okay, like the matcha cheesecake. The rest of the menu however, was either really lacking (oysters were.. so so tiny.. and just one a person), not.. great (tteokbokki / brussel sprouts) or just plain questionable (octopus). So, why questionable? Well, my octopus had a bit of a strange texture.. a bit stringy/flaky. The other octopus at our table generally cut through like butter, but mine was slightly off. I didn't think much of it until I got home a few hours earlier. Let's just say, I got some good ol' food poisoning that lasted until the next morning. It might have been the octopus, or something else, but it was definitely from Doshi. For a $100+ meal to go immediately into the bowl, lost a few stars for sure. But, here's to hoping it was just an off-night. If I come back for the chef's table experience, I'm hoping to update this with a more positive review.

Mi Yon Y.

Yelp
Very good Americanized Korean food. The presentation and the service was outstanding. I really like the open kitchen chef's table layout. The CHEESY TTEOKBOKKI, rice cake with truffle mozzarella was so excellent. I feel like the truffle took the dish to the next level. The SEAFOOD BIBIMBAP was delicious. It had more seafood than rice which I liked. For me it was a touch salty. Next time I would ask them to use less sauce before they mix it. The WAGYU GALBI JJIM was the most authentic dish to me. The beer-braised short rib is very very tender. I would love to go back and try the chef's table.

Corrina Q.

Yelp
This was easily the best meal I've ever had in my entire life. I took my boyfriend here for his bday a few months ago. We were SO FULL after also :) we did the chef's counter. You will not be disappointed! The chef is super creative!

Yelp
Was lucky to get a table last minute and I was blown away. Our server was super attentive and recommended amazing dishes based on what flavors we liked. The restaurant is not too big but ambience is very relaxing. Everything is dim lit and pretty quiet. The food and the drinks were all so delicious. Cute place for a little fancy dinner.

Yelp
First time having dochi and will definitely be back. We had the s'mores one and can't wait to try others. They were so moist and delicious

Yelp
the interior was super cute, food was just okay in my opinion. service was really attentive and answered any questions we had!! also whoever made the playlist has great taste like aespa?? xg?? le sserafim?? so sad that they're closing but glad we were able to still try :)

Yelp
Mind blowing experience. This modern and elevated take on Korean flavors really blew me away. I did the chefs tasting and it was phenomenal. I loved every bite and can't wait to go back. Service was fantastic as the server was very knowledgeable and a chef came and greeted us. The ambiance and decor is beautiful, perfect for a date night. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really cool spot in Orlando! It's definitely worth trying out. The spot is small, cozy, and quiet. We ordered all the items on the Banchan menu. They were all delicious. My favorite was the fried rice. It was balanced with such good flavor. A lot of the dishes are on the sweeter side if you're into that. The service was good and helpful when ordering and understanding the menu.

Trisha Isabel C.

Yelp
Doshi lives up to the hype with a quaint and friendly atmosphere. The customer service is superb and the food was delicious!

Yi Min L.

Yelp
The food was creative and tastes great. It s rare to find such authentic yet creative fusion Korean place. Chef Mick is a great chef, the staff were friendly. I would def go back for more. The lobster dish was amazing!

Jordan C.

Yelp
I can whole-heartedly agree with other reviews here, Doshi lives up to the hype. My wife and I opted for the dinning room menu (everything is seasonal and changing) and it was delicious. Let's start with the service. We were greeted promptly and seated shortly after (had a reservation). Still or sparkling (complementary) water is offered. Our server came over right away and since it was our first time explained the menu and overall concept (Korean American Fine Dining). I appreciated how personable she was, no snooty snobbery here! We had one point in the evening when one of the items we had ordered (not pictured) was not brought out and she corrected that quickly. I also appreciated the pacing of how our orders were sent out, which our server explained upfront along with heads up that the steak dish we ordered would take about 30mins. The food...everything from the Banchan to our main course was delicious. As stated in my picture, the Kimchi was delicious, I got more. The pickles also had a nice spice and the peanuts were soft and soaked in soy sauce goodness. The KFC wings were perfectly crunchy and piping hot. These were the the "low" of our night, good but not great (Domu is still king). We had ordered the Tile Fish Crudo, but they were out. We got two kbbq skewers and our favorite being the King Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with pickled Daikon. The Bulgogi Skirt Steak stole the show. When I saw "Korean-Style" Mole our decision was already made. It was well balanced, packed with flavor and made the perfectly cooked steak sing. We used the remainder of our rice to soak it all up. Both my wife and I look forward to our next visit and trying the chef table tasting. This is a perfect date night spot or if you are just craving some amazing food.

Yelp
Upscale, refined, and delicious Korean American dining, located right in the heart of Winter Park! They have two options of dining styles, including a chefs table 9-course meal, and the a la cart dining room menu. I decided to give the dining room menu a try. I wasn't too hungry, and was happily surprised to learn that their menu is predominantly small bites (Banchan) and skewers to share. They also have heartier options (like the Seafood Bibimbap) that I will certainly need to come back and try, but today I stayed light. I ordered the beautifully crafted Crudo - with a white fish and a delicious toppings, and the pork belly skewers (super flavorful) and just enough to fill me up. I can't say no to desert, so I tried the doughnuts and ice cream. Tasty, but I expected a little more in the creativity department. Doshi has a rotating seasonal menu, so items may no longer be available (like their Forrest Floor dessert). Overall the experience is great, and the food is tasty.

Yelp
We've been hearing about Doshi and been wanting to try it out, so we thought a birthday celebration was a great excuse to do so! We did the pre-fix 7 course dinner and it was the perfect amount of food. As there were 2 options for most courses, except for a few, we did half & half and got to try it all (all pictured here)! I didn't quite care for the prawn, but everyone else did so that's just a reminder that we all have our own preferences! I really liked the atmosphere inside, and the service was on point. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
There is no question in my mind as to what the best restaurant in Orlando is. This is it. While Orlando received four Michelin-starred restaurants last year, they were very odd choices. I have no doubt that Doshi is better than all of them, and expect it to receive its acknowledgment soon. There are two ways to enjoy this restaurant: ala cart table dining, or at the six-seat chef's counter. We chose the latter, and it is definitely the way to go. The experience is individually curated and largely prepared by Chef Mike, while the other chefs tend to the rest of the room. Chef Mike fills you in on the Korean history behind each of his dishes. The menu is inspired by the food a king would have eaten 500 years ago. To describe the menu as Korean is to completely undersell it, though, as each dish incorporates modern refinements, techniques, and sourcing. The ten tasting menu courses included fifteen dishes, and absolutely every one of them was outstanding. My favorites were: - The incredibly complex, savory, and somewhat spiced "porridge," which was more like a chowder with tender mini rice cakes. - The delightful oyster preparation, which was lightly cooked to bring out the flavor of the oyster, yet still fresh and citrusy with yuzu and cilantro blossom, as you would expect in a raw oyster course. - The A5 Wagyu, which was the single best thing I have put in my mouth during forty years in Orlando. For the past decade we've all had lightly seared Wagyu with nothing done to it to interfere with the delicate fatty flavor of the meat. But what if you lightly marinated it, seared it, and served it with a smear of black garlic and top-grade caviar? The flavor absolutely explodes in your mouth, creating something wholly new, and far surpassing the individual ingredients. Alternate that with bites of acidic Asian pear and you have a dish worthy of the best three-star Michelin restaurants I've been to. Congratulations to Chef Mike for daring to create this out-of-the-box dish. - I also need to give a nod to the dessert, which is hard to describe. Think of a tiramisu, but one made of many layers of crepes so thin and tender they become a single sort of coffee-flavored mousse. Another amazingly creative dish. You will not leave hungry, that's for sure. Fortunately they are happy to pack the final savory course, a royal hot pot, for you to enjoy the next day. The wine service, provided by host Austin, is impeccable, and an interesting flight of wine pairings is offered, although there is also corkage available if you wish to bring your own wines. We did both. The atmosphere is perfect. Low lighting in the stylish dining area, and a livelier counter experience for the tasting menu. As with the best high-end restaurants, the kitchen is organized and professional, so intimate conversation is easy, even at the counter. Again, I cannot stress enough how far above the other restaurants in town Doshi is hitting. I am already anticipating our next visit.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Doshi. We were in the dining room and my friend and I both chose the 7 course prefix; on courses with two options, we chose different ones so we could try more dishes. Our server was great! He was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is nice as well, and it's not a noisy place where you can't carry on a conversation. It's also not a problem to park here, which isn't always the case in Winter Park. They make their own sodas, and both of those were fantastic (though I definitely think the yuja is better). Had a wonderful time and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Stop reading this review and just book your reservation, I'm telling you, you won't regret it! Doshi lives up to its expectations and more. Actually way, way more! We had the table-side reservation with the 6 course meal and were promptly seated as we came in. The interior decoration is chic, but has its own unique character, and I especially liked the wall art too. Not sure why you're still reading for more convincing, I'm telling ya, go ahead and book your table! But if you're wondering how the food went, well here goes! We started the meal with the Amuse which was bursting with different flavor tones, starting sweet and then transitioning to more umami notes. The doshibox came next which was had several unique flavors. I especially liked the tofu which had an almost multilayered crisp texture compared to what I normally expect. The kimchi was also a notable mention as it was subtle and not as vinegary as typical kimchi. The Black Pink was a star of the show because of the multiple different textures that meshed together, and the presentation was on point! As for the wagyu bulgogi... I mean it's wagyu bulgogi, what's not to like! The broth that went with it was fantastic too, till the last drop! I was also appreciative of the chef for accommodating me with the non-pork fried rice option. Now, I'm not usually much of a sweet tooth, but the fact that I'm separating the next two dishes from the writeup above means something ;) The Nitro Patbingsu and Forest Floor were truly something else! Fabulous combinations of flavors and the presentation was unmatched for each of them- words don't do them justice- just look at the photos! I mean having a red bean mousse in the shape of a koi fish... now this is modern art! Very refreshing dish. I've wrote a lot more than I usually do, but with Doshi it is worth it and more! Did I ever mention that you should just book a reservation and experience this yourself? Ya won't regret it :)

Yelp
We had a truly spectacular chef's tasting meal at doshi. We are already looking for excuses to return. The chef was incredibly friendly, welcoming, answered our questions about some of the ingredients and dishes, and the service was top notch. The food..... There were some truly memorable items. It was beautiful, tasteful, well prepared, the menu flowed together nicely, and this place is certainly deserving of its praise. You're thinking about the chef counter, and you like to try lots of bites spanning a wide range of the chef's talents, do it.

Yelp
Before the courses started they brought out banchan. They served 3 small banchan for 3 of us to share and there was no refills. Banchan are meant to accompany the meal and these did not, bc we ran out quickly and they never brought more. The three banchan were "kimchi, kimchi squid, and water kimchi". The water kimchi was delicious. The squid kimchi was good, but too sweet. However, the regular kimchi was not kimchi because it was NOT fermented! It was soaked in vinegar. I asked the waitress when she came by if vinegar was used and she said yes. She said there was a different chef who made it and he tried vinegar to make it quick. Here is where I remind you that Doshi is selling themself as a KOREAN American FINE DINING restaurant. The more I think about this dish, the more I think serving it as "kimchi" is an insult to Korean cuisine and to diners who want to experience and learn about Korean food and are trusting the chefs. It's disingenuous to market yourself using the love of Korean food that a lot more people have developed over the years and then trying to pass this off. The oysters with a kimchi granita were not cold even though they were served raw. And there was no "granita"! Granita is supposed to be icy and I was looking forward to that. The sliced tteokbokki was stuck together, overcooked and mushy. When I tried to separate the slices, I could see that no sauce ever made it between the tteokbokki. When the waitress brought the other lady over (not that I asked, I just couldn't eat the dish and she saw that), she said they sliced it differently this time instead of in cylinders and that's probably why it was mushy. Ok, I'm gonna remind you again that Doshi is trying to sell themselves as Korean American fine dining - and in this dish there was nothing that made it qualify as a fine dining version of a humble street dish. And to make it worse, they got a humble street dish so wrong!!! Fourth course was the BEST and it's the reason I'm giving them 3 stars. This was a spinach risotto with octopus. The octopus was so perfectly perfectly tender and juicy and delicious! The risotto was also good and complemented the dish really well. However....there was nothing "Korean" about this dish...or anything American for that matter. At this point I didn't feel comfortable asking questions to the manager/waitress (she never introduced herself or said who she was). After the brussel sprouts she did not talk to us again while filling up water or putting down plates. What I wanted to ask was if spinach risotto was a substitute. The menu said it was supposed to be a perilla risotto, which would have made the dish have that Korean influence. Now, I did love this dish but I couldn't help but wonder how the perilla risotto would have tasted. Remember, dear food lovers, I chose Doshi because I wanted that Korean American fine dining experience in the food. So my point really is that a place that is trying to act like they are fine dining but can't keep up with their ingredients and have to change their menu like with the kimchi and now with the risotto... it's a restaurant that's not doing their job well. And they're not respecting their diners. Because if I had known that I couldn't get real Kimchi (or adequate banchan for the table) and the dishes wouldn't have that Korean influence I was looking for... I could've gone somewhere else. Because obviously the experience Doshi promised in its premise isn't happening and the kitchen must know that since they're making the changes and not informing diners. Overall, I really think that what they're trying to sell us as diners isn't what they deliver and that's a really big problem. Really disappointed with the overall experience.

Yelp
An elevated dining experience where 6 guests take a seat at Chef's counter & taste 10 unique Korean-inspired courses. And not just any chefs -- you get to experience some of the most talented chefs in the kitchen like former Immersion at London House chef Rikku. Each course is prepared right in front of you with a detailed explanation of each ingredient -- which makes each bite that much better! DOSHI offers two seatings, 6 pm & 8 pm. For parties up to 6, 10-course chefs table experience $165/person. Additional dining room tables are also available with up to parties of 4, & prefixed 6-course menu for $85/person. This is a MUST - for a date night, anniversary, celebration, or just a night that you want to treat yourself! Reservations are finally open!

Yelp
At Doshi I was treated like I was the only one there. Chef was fun to interact with and very genuine. That alone made for an awesome experience.

Yelp
Where do I start? I opted for the ala carte experience over the chefs table which in the end I was happy with this decision. I took myself out for a solo date. I walked in at my reservation time and was greeted by the host who also assisted with serving and bussing the table. They explained the menu and then my server came over. I ordered a glass of wine and I opted for the 7 course pre fixe which imo was the best deal of you wanted to try a few plates. They put the banchan on the table: soy peanuts, tomato and kimchi. All super flavorful and the kimchi had just enough spice First dish was the hamachi. Perfectly sliced fish, right temp and the Asian pear was a lovely touch. Second dish: brussel sprouts with pomegranate. These were like any other Brussels I've had. They were really balanced with the balsamic or whatever they had in the bowl. Third dish: Cheesy Tteokbokki. The runny egg in this gave it that extra punch of creaminess. I wanted more. Fifth dish: smoked octopus with risotto. The risotto was perfect. The octopus was not my favorite but that's also my problem. It has really good flavor tho. Sixth dish: Beer braised short rib with root vegetables. The short rib was so tender and it was like eating a hug in the bowl. The server and I both agreed that you just needed a baguette and the broth and you would be set. Seventh dish: scallop. That pea purée and carrots..sign me up for that again. Dessert: matcha tea cheesecake. It was a nice touch. I didn't think the matcha really fit as a perfect end but that's also my own pastry chef opinion. I loved the open concept kitchen. I sat near the chefs table experience so I got to listen to the chef explaining all the dishes he was putting out. I think my deal was way better than what those folks got but again my opinion. There wasn't many people in the place when I got there which was nice. The music wasn't too loud and it wasn't dark. I will be back for sure! I'd love to see when the menu changes which happens every so often. Thanks team Doshi!

Yelp
Absolutely Devine! We have been wanting to check out Doshi for a while and finally bit the bullet and made a reservation for the Ala Carte menu! We ordered a few things assuming we'd need more, but the portion sizes surprised us. It is a great size for each shareable dish! Obviously their menu changes often, so you may not see something shown in the pictures ever on the menu. Although they do keep a few staples like the Brussels and the Wagyu Short rib. The drink selection is beer and wine only and also a variety of teas! We will definitely be back as the ambiance was outstanding and it is a great place to go with a group of 4 or any out of town folks that you want to show them some incredible local cuisine!

Yelp
Subtle and relaxed upscale ambiance. Flavors were excellent, cold courses were wonderful. Unfortunately, both the tuna course and the wagyu were abhorrently overcooked. 2oz wagyu came out well done, and had an almost gamey texture. Our server told us the temperature was chef's recommendation and when we expressed our hesitance over well-done wagyu, she said "well, have you tried it?" We each tried a bite, to be polite, and unsurprisingly, did not enjoy the borderline beef jerky. We waited for the server to return and she did not. Chef Gabe was sitting at the table of the guests next to us and seemed to notice our discontent, but did not acknowledge us or attempt talk to us and rectify the issue as he was too busy indulging an amateur influencer with her stories for about 20 minutes as we sat there and let an inedible cut of gamey wagyu go cold. Tragic. Ignored our obvious discontent to politic and socialize. My partner was getting annoyed and stepped outside to escape the loud and self-indulgent conversation rambling on next to us. At this point Chef Gabe finally stopped by in what seemed like an afterthought on his way from leaving the table. I told him I only really liked the broth it was in, and before I could elaborate he raved about the broth and then left. I wish he had checked in when my partner was at the table instead of waiting for him to go outside, which he did to escape the disruptive schmoozing going on next to us. Wine pairings were interesting and enjoyable, but overall the experience was frustrating and disappointing, and we are unlikely to return.

Yelp
Amazing food. Tried Crispy Brussels Sprouts best ones I ever had also Wagyu Fried Rice, Cheesy Tteobokki and Hamachi. I tried the Crispy Octopus, but don't think I will get it again it was a bit fishy. The service and ambiance was great very friendly staff. I will Definitely come back

Yelp
What a great meal! Admittedly I was a bit nervous before coming. Being Korean, I am very used to the "traditional" version of many of the dishes Doshi had on the menu... but our table actually enjoyed the fun twists incorporated into classics. (like adding truffle to Tteokbokki.) I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the plates- and it exceeded my expectations! You can tell that a ton of thought and care was put into this restaurant- and I appreciated a lot of the small details that Gene and the team put into their dinner service. Little things like even buying brass silverware from Korea; pays homage back to the cuisine that they're serving. All the ingredients tasted extremely fresh, and they were beautifully prepared. I had the A La Carte menu- but I can't wait to come back and try the Chef's Counter next time! Doshi is a great addition to our Orlando food scene :)

Yelp
I came here a while ago to celebrate my friend's birthday and had an amazing time. We made a reservation online in case it was busy and glad we did. The place is small but was packed. The inside was nice, very chill and had a nice ambiance. Staff was very friendly and took their time to answer our questions. We got their 7 course tasting menu which was a great experience that I would recommend. First course- Oyster with Korean pepper migononette, 4.5/5. this was my personal favorite. The mignonette sauce really complements the oyster well. Second course- Hamachi Crudo, 4/5. This was a pretty good amount of sashimi and was saucey, however, the sauce didn't overpower the dish. Third course- Cheesey Tteokbokki 3/5 or Brussel Sprout 3.5/5. The cheesey tteokbokki wasn't anything special but it was good. The size was a good amount and it made me filled me up since it was a heavy course. My friend got the brussel sprout and it was good but heavy on the oil. Fourth course- seasonal fish sour bone broth, 3.5/5. A mildly sour broth with a white fish . Nice balance of meat and vegetable (loved the bok choy) and was great to have after the tteokbokki. Fifth course- grilled scallop, 4/5. Well cook with a mildly sweet sauce. Sixth course- waygu galbi, 4/5. I was excited to try this one the most and it did not disappoint. The meat was tender. It was on the salty side but the rice balanced it out. The portion was good, by this time of the meal, I was full. Seventh course- black seasame pan cotta, 3.5/5. My friends loved it. It was not too sweet with a nice texture. Overall, the portion and the meal was worth it. I would come back again in the future. I would recommend to try at least once if you're into Korean cuisine.

Yelp
So me and my wife decided to give this place a try (backstory we were trying to pick between Doshi and Garp & Fuss but decided to on a whim on Doshi). This restaurant is amazing inside it's absolutely beautiful and the mood is nice and relaxing not very loud not too quiet it was *chefs kiss* perfect! We had a really nice server even though I think she was a greeter she was fantastic most expensive places you get it's way too uptight. She was excellent and so was our "actual server". Very nice very attentive. The food here oh my god it was 10/10 outstanding. The braised short rib was melt in your mouth perfection and the vegetables that came with it were amazing as well. Also ordered the shrimp fire noodles and similarly they too were amazing the hand cut noodles really take this dish the next level.

Yelp
Delishhhhh. This is a truly a little gem we found in Orlando. The food is so good, creative, and exciting. The space has a cozy little vibe and the service is really tailored to you for a great experience!

Carlos R.

Yelp
What a great experience! The right Korean ambience in a place with great people like Elena who took care of every detail in our service turning a regular evening into a great experience... The food.. ... oh boy!!. The food... that's a great Asian culinary experience.. a place to go back and back... and back

Leandra F.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The waiter was snobby and the prices are high. But yes, they are totally worth it. Their Brussels sprout was to die for. The steak is cooked just right. I do think that if someone wants to try the $85 menu and the other person that accompanies you doesn't because they aren't hungry, they should allow them to. I gotta say though that I really enjoyed my food here.

Jessica R.

Yelp
this place is a hidden gem. It is hiding in a Whole Foods Market but when you go inside, you feel like you were on South Beach. Beautiful, ambience, and delicious food. We split some of the appetizers and an entrée and the octopus was out of this world and I liked the KFC chicken. The price point is a little on the higher side just be aware. I wanted a glass of champagne and it was $22 so as you can imagine the bill got pretty hi pretty quick but overall amazing experience and I find something that we will probably do more for special occasions.

Yelp
Made a reservation via OpenTable that wasn't recognized at the restaurant. Thats fine because they have seating at the bar. Waitress seems bothered at first but eventually comes around. Went with the pri fixe and wine pairing. Everything was super OK but not worth the cost.
