"Doto is the rare all-day restaurant that you'd actually want to spend all day at. In the morning they make better lattes than most coffee shops and some of LA’s best breakfast burritos, followed by a fantastic fried chicken sandwich and bright, snappy salads at lunch. And once dinner rolls around, the hill-gazing back patio is the perfect place for a laidback friend dinner. "The bacon breakfast burrito at Doto is modest in size compared to some of the gargantuan bundles on this guide, but it makes up for it in sheer flavor. The crispy chunks of bacon are front and center in each bite, with scrambled eggs, stewed pintos, and molten oaxacan cheese oozing from the tortilla like it was a just-microwaved Hot Pocket. "Chef Jared Dowling’s Doto brings California izakaya fare to the bright and breezy space is a fairly recent (and solid) neighborhood addition after Jewel’s closure. It’s an all-day affair, though breakfast is available daily. Try the mushroom breakfast burrito with charro beans and Oaxacan cheese, a bacon breakfast burrito with tater tots and scallions, a patty melt with egg and beef patty with Mammoth Bakery milk bread, and a Spanish-style tortilla with togarashi aioli." - Mona Holmes
