In the chic heart of Emory Village, Double Zero serves up dreamy Neapolitan pizzas and creative small plates in a stylish setting perfect for date nights.
"As the go-to date night destination in Emory Village, Double Zero has all the components for a special occasion meal—a chic, modern aesthetic, mood lighting, fun cocktails, a long wine list, and multiple courses that help you make the most of paying three hours for the babysitter. Before digging into all the housemade pastas and other Italian entrees, we strongly advise first putting a pizza on your table. With fresh fior di latte mozzarella on every pie and dough made from heirloom yeast starter and (you guessed it) Double Zero flour, no one will judge if the pillowy soft pizza is your only course—even on your fancy date night." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"As one of the go-to date night destinations in Emory Village, Double Zero also has all the components for a special occasion meal—a modern aesthetic, mood lighting, fun cocktails and a long wine list, and multiple courses that help you make the most of paying the babysitter for three hours. With fresh fior di latte mozzarella on every pie and dough made from heirloom yeast starter and—you guessed it—Double Zero flour, no one will judge if pizza is your only course. Be advised: the pillowy soft pizza here comes unsliced and delivered to your table with a pair of kitchen shears, which we've seen confuse a few diners. But if we can be blunt/sharp: slicing your pizza with scissors is kinda fun and not that complicated, so just cut the damn pie and enjoy it." - nina reeder
"This Emory Village Italian restaurant is by far our top choice for a bougie pizza date night since it also has a few highfalutin’ apps and entrees. But with fresh fior di latte mozzarella on every Neapolitan pie and dough made from heirloom yeast starter and—you guessed it—double zero flour, no one will judge if pizza is your only course. Be advised: Double Zero's pillowy-soft pizza comes unsliced and delivered to your table with a pair of kitchen shears, which often confuse diners. But just go with it." - nina reeder, demarco williams, juli horsford
"The $35 summer prix fixe menu offers three courses from a limited selection." - Su-Jit Lin
"Not many places can be a romantic date night spot and a suitable place for Emory students to entertain embarrassing parents, but Double Zero’s stylish modern interior pulls it off. Stop by on any given night and you’ll see couples making eyes at each other right next to exhausted Emory hospital staff looking for a strong cocktail and one of the city’s best pizzas. The menu features a handful of pasta dishes that are all worthy of ordering, but our favorite is the huge braised beef ravioli covered in roasted garlic. And we like broccolini much better when topped on pizzas like their Bianca Meatball, which is served with scissors to cut your own slices. " - juli horsford
