"As one of the go-to date night destinations in Emory Village, Double Zero is an Italian restaurant with all the components for a special occasion meal—a chic, modern aesthetic, mood lighting, fun cocktails and a long wine list, and multiple courses that help you make the most of paying the babysitter for three hours. With fresh fior di latte mozzarella on every pie and dough made from heirloom yeast starter and—you guessed it—Double Zero flour, no one will judge if pizza is your only course (although the pasta is good too). Be advised: the pillowy soft pizza here comes unsliced and delivered to your table with a pair of kitchen shears, which we've seen confuse a few diners. But slicing your pizza with scissors is kinda fun and not that complicated, so just cut the damn pie and enjoy it. photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair Pause Unmute Food Rundown Garlic Knot A small plate carries a single garlic knot that pulls apart into five or six fluffy pieces. A huge heap of crumbled pecorino cheese sits on top, partially melting onto the hot, garlicky knot. This appetizer is a must order. Fritto Misto This is one of the better appetizers for sharing since you get a plate piled high with fried bits of calamari, shrimp, zucchini, and red pepper. The breading has a little heat to it, and the marinara and lemon pepper aioli (an ATL flex) are dipping sauces that just make sense. Spinach & Artichoke Al Forno If spinach dip appetizers make you think of Applebee’s, know that this dip is the equivalent of the Braves going against a tee ball team. A mini skillet arrives with a broiled top. Underneath lies epic cheese pulls peppered with creamy chopped spinach and artichokes. Four triangles of fire-grilled sourdough bread are the best vessel for shoveling the cheesy spread into your mouth. Pistacchio E Mortadella All of their pizzas come uncut with scissors, so get first dibs and cut yourself a giant slice of this pie. Better yet, keep the whole pie for yourself. The pistachio pesto makes things a little nutty and the cherry tomatoes add a burst of sweetness. Diavola If you like your pizza with a little heat, make this your order. Calabrian chilis bring the spicy energy we like, and pepperoni and giant hunks of italian sausage make it extra filling. Duck Confit Risotto A bowl of creamy risotto gets topped with duck breast that’s juicy without being greasy. Acorn squash and butternut squash give the dish a subtle nutty flavor that mixes well with the saltier duck. It proves Double Zero can do more than just pizza." - Nina Reeder
