Dovetail

I went to Dovetail restaurant for dinner, with my husband, while we were on a romantic getaway in Macon, Georgia. Excellent service was provided by everyone we came across, and everyone we interacted with in the restaurant. Our waiter was amazing. The food was so delicious. We had the Roasted Cauliflower and Beet salad. In a larger portion, I could have had that as a meal. We had a trout entree which was prepared so well, and served hot The fish was tender and tasty. The atmosphere was elegant. I would definitely eat there again when we are next in Macon.

We had an exquisite experience for a birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was warm, friendly, and attentive. We started off with a bottle of wine and the put-ups, which I highly recommend. I decided to try the rabbit risotto. Honestly, I was a little hesitant to try rabbit but it was fantastic! The parmesan in the risotto added a wonderful richness that made it a warm and comforting meal. We also tried the grilled pork chop with whipped sweet potato, which was seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal and the overall dining experience. Trust the glowing reviews—they are truly well deserved! This restaurant is a must-try!

We had a fabulous dinner at Dovetail. Our server, Trinity was excellent. The food was FRESH, beautifully prepared and presented, and delicious. We will definitely drive out of our way when traveling just to eat here again. The scallops risotto with pork belly bites and the peach burratta were spectacular.

The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious, and service at the bar was excellent. The ambience was just what I needed after a long work day. Shouts out to Russ at the bar and Kevin who came to check on me after being served.

Perfect restaurant. Consistently excellent food and service. We always go when we're in town, everything on the menu is excellent, but in particular don't miss the Put Ups, any steak or special, and the Cracked Pie. Also a great little bar, with great bourbon selection, flights, and cocktails. Can't rate it highly enough.

Exquisite. Everything. I would say "hidden gem" except the fact that it's clear from other reviews that this is a very well-known Macon star. Loved everything, the look, the feel, the presentation, and unique recipes. Trinity is fabulous: serious, knowledgeable, and vexxingly attentive.

Atmosphere, service, and food was all impeccable. Each dish was explained as it was served or prior to ordering. We ordered a variety of appetizers, drinks, mains, and dessert. Everything was delicious. The photos don't do it justice. The plating was also visually appealing.

Business trip dinner. We were a little late for our reservation and they were not amused and reminded us of it a few times. But we were distracted by an album store on the walk from the hotel (worth the tartiness). Cocktails, appetizers and dinner were outstanding. Much better than expected honestly. Highly recommended and will return there on the. Ext time in Macon. Oh, and don’t ask what’s in their special cocktails they don’t like that either. Very tasty though they are.
