Dr. Murphy's Food Hall reminds me of a restaurant or foodie Pop up, offering the variety needed especially for individuals who can't decide on where and what to eat. We tried Lexington Betty Smokehouse for lunch. The brisket and pulled pork were tender and delicious, the tangy BBQ sauce added the perfect balance. The thin plastic fork cut through the brisket easily. The side of greens and macaroni added a whisper of heat. The staff were amazing, very patient and extremely pleasant...we even suggested maybe they consider adding fried green tomatoes to the menu. Wouldn't that kick up some excitement...wishful thinking. We also sampled the Crockett Cookies and ended up being split between the butter and peanut butter cookies so we grabbed one of each. Who wants to live with dessert regrets?? Not me. And our last stop was Classic Cobbler, yes more sweets, don't judge. I'm in love with anything lemon so naturally I tried the lemon cream pie and added the brownie walnut pie for later. It was recommended to warm it slightly and top it with some vanilla ice cream, can't wait. Our food experience for two at Dr. Murphy's Food Hall was about $55 and I left with some to enjoy later. We look forward to going back and trying the other restaurants such as the tamales and nom nom our next time around. Oh yeah forgot to mention, there's also a bar so if you need a cocktail they have you covered.
