Drago Centro

I had a great time dining at Drago Centro. The location is excellent—right in the heart of downtown, with a nice outdoor seating area that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and the staff were all friendly and professional throughout our visit. We started with a delicious appetizer that really set the tone for the meal, followed by the lobster pasta, which was absolutely the highlight—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The steak was decent, but nothing extraordinary. However, the well-curated cocktail menu more than made up for it, offering a great selection of drinks to pair with the meal. Another plus: they validate parking for up to two hours, which is super convenient for a downtown spot.

We had the pleasure dining here. The service was EXCELLENT since the beginning, at arrival, the waitress and everyone who brought our food. We had the Wagyu and the venison, absolutely delicious. The dessert was also outstanding. We had also drinks and wine perfect. I really recommend dining here. I will come back for sure.

They almost forcibly took our drink order (rushed)outside before we got sat. I asked the opinion of the server for wine. Seemed uneducated about the menu. Once we walked to our table, the host snatched the menu from my hand instead of just asking for it. The server spoke to the table with an attitude right off the bat. Our party of six was taken aback by tone of our serve when all we had were genuine questions. (It was our first time there) He stated that our dinner would be a little lite, but before taking our order he insisted we only got 2 pizzas…. even though we really needed to order more food. He never checked on us our whole stay. The place was so loud you could hear the people sitting shoulder to shoulder with you. We certainly didn’t feel welcome. Especially when we could overhear the section next to us got a more immersive experience with the different server pulling out 4 suggestions of wine for his guests. They were intrigued about his passion for food/wine. He seemed more vibrant. It seemed like a polar opposite our table was experiencing. Thankfully the food was great, unfortunately the service didn’t seem like a priority of standard.

Phenomenal staff and the chef goes above and beyond. If you appreciate Italian cuisine, the food is divine. The Caesar salad appears as if it wouldn’t be filling, but it is and the flavors are great. My brother and I shared calamari w/marinara, cacio e Pepe, and I brought a dish of the garganelli home to my daughter. She is sweet as pie because I fell asleep, and I woke up before she was going to sleep and she came into my room excited to tell me she saved me a few bites because she wanted to me experience the amazing flavor of this pasta. She was not exaggerating and the dish did not disappoint. She said the serving was filling, so I would recommend to go orders. The pasta is made in house, the ingredients taste very fresh, the cocktails are wonderful- I had an amaretto sour and it was one of the best I’ve had. If I didn’t have to drive an hour back home I would have enjoyed more. We parked in a nearby structure and paid $24 for valet service. My photos aren’t great because the ambiance is dim lighting. I can promise the food looks great in person and the taste, even better. It was worth the 1hr drive for me and I would definitely come back.

The restuarant is situated in a great location if you love architecture, history, and an elevated city experience. The menu had many strong options but the specials are really where the chef shines. The truffle pasta (not pictured) is my favorite and by far the most versatile offering. Classically beautiful with corteous service, the only thing I’d change is the banquet.

The service and food was excellent. Ordered the lobster pasta, and was impressive, I would suggest more of a spice to the dish. I added the parmesean cheese and this was a game change: Gave a whole new taste, was the best parm I had ever tasted. The Scallops and mushrooms were my least favorite. Nothing to write about. This was my first experience eating veal, and I don't think I would eat this any other way than how I had it prepared at Drago. Was a memorable taste, and very pleased with the whole experience

Attended a fundraiser for Kizuna. Venue is very nice with intimate ambiance. Food was delish and drinks were amazing. Staff was attentive and I felt very special dining in their dining room.

Such a cute little spot in the heart of downtown LA. They also accommodate large parties so great for a celebration spot. Came for my sisters bday and the service and food was delicious.

This is currently my FAVORITE restaurant in LA. And my husband and I eat out a lot -- at a lot of different places. Not to sound bougie -- really -- but it has made it difficult for me to be impressed by food. LA has so many good places to eat that it's really hard to impress me unless something stands out. Well, I WAS IMPRESSED!!!! Let's put it this way -- I wasnt too hungry and I don't tend to eat a lot during a single meal -- I often don't finish, give it to my husband or take the rest home on occasion -- but this was SO GOOD I kept on trying to eat past the point of full (which I don't do) because the taste was so good! I was also bummed because I couldn't wrap it up to take it with me because we were going to a King's Game after -- and it had seafood in the dish that probably wouldn't have sat well at all in the car during the game. I was literally sad to leave what I couldn't finish! And I'm usually completely okay with leaving food in almost every similar scenario. Also, the environment is so nicely decorated. And drinks lovely. And although not cheap, also not over the top considering the quality! Its well priced based on the quality of food, service and environment. Service was also flawless! FIVE STARS! You gotta try it!!!! It's my official King's Season/Downtown Dinner Outing spot!!! Can't wait to go back next time! Also -- I'm not a frequent reviewer. I tend to take the time to review if something is either REALLY GOOD or REALLY BAD. If you see me review something where I only say a few words about it -- it's probably I wanted whatever promotion the place had going if I left a Yelp review. lol. If I do those, it's at least some place I don't dislike. But when I actually say something real -- its either because the experience was SPECTACULAR or AWFUL! Hahahahaha

I decided to make a reservation for dinner here last night a few days in advance and arrived early for the reservation. We were planning to hang out at the bar or outside, being it's a pretty big establishment, but I had no issues getting a seat early, which was good. It wasn't busy when we arrived, with many open seats. The host showed us to our table within a few minutes of arriving, and the seat was further back with a nice view of the outside. After we sat at our table, it rocked a little, and that's when we realized it wasn't leverage. Our server moved us to another table next to it. Our server, Collin, introduced himself and gave us menus. We asked for bottled water, but after a while, someone poured iced water into our glass. After asking for bottled water, our server returned, took our orders, and made our drink selection. Everything was going good so far. Eventually, we reminded Collin of the bottled water, and they brought one over. We got our drinks and put in the order for our food, but after this, it started going downhill, and service was non-existent or slower. And then, even longer after asking if we wanted another round of drinks, it took over 15 minutes to get. It took so long for our food to come out that people who came in after were receiving their food and beverages, some even deserts. Eventually, our server returned and apologized. Then, our food eventually came out, and he apologized and chatted with us. It took so long for our main course. It wasn't crowded or super busy when we first arrived or even after we'd been there a bit. However, the service was slow, and we were waiting for the second round of drinks, and the main course was too long. Maybe it was due to being a Friday night or being short-staffed, but overall, I am not sure if I would go back. We wanted to try something new while in LA As a reminder, no one seemed to look at the table or adjust the legs after moving to the other one. Hopefully, the server remembered which table to use, so there was no accident with another guest. Disclaimer: waited so long for the food forgot to take pics just wanted to eat

I want to start off my saying it makes zero sense why that chimichuri sauce was so good...I've never had chimichuri that good and I've eaten at so many restaurants. I think they blended the ingredients instead of just leaving the herbs chopped. That sauce didn't come with my meal but I have dietary restrictions so needed to substitute. Anyway, I had the sea bass and the arugula w artichoke salad--both were fresh, light and so delicious. Everyone in our party of 7 loved their food. People especially loved the rosemary steak special (I don't eat steak so I didn't try it). The servers were on point! They were ready to help us and very much on top of all the requests, from more bread to more olive oil lol Ok so this is just my own personal issue, but I did believe some of the menu items were overpriced. For instance, my sea bass was about forty dollars for that small piece of fish and a half cup of roasted veggies. Now, it's no one's fault but my own that I'm on a budget lol but that was definitely not $40 worth of food. For what it's worth, it's a vibey place that's a bit upscale. It's like if you're in your early to mid thirties and just now starting to feel grown so you dress up to go out to dinner downtown type of place. Super classy and cute.

I came here for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time! The staff was great and the food was delicious! I was really happy with the ambiance and atmosphere when first coming in. While we waited for our party we enjoyed the outside patio with the local fire. For food I shared the 36 oz Ribeye meal that came with veggies and mashed potatoes and WOW!! They bring the ribeye to the side of the table and slice it there in front of you. Usually when you get high oz steaks the bone takes up most of it but not here. This was mostly steak and it was incredible. The two of us shared, shared with the table and still had leftovers to take home! The steak was also cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back

Best service and restaurant in town! Indoor and outdoor seatings are available; and bar and dining room too. Amazing appetizers and pasta! You'll find yourself above standard with their pasta. Their wine book has many selections.

I had a large party of 21 on 11/15/24. From setting up the reservation and working with Ana, to the manager Jamie and server Colin to the amazing kitchen staff who prepared our food - the experience was exceptional. Highly recommend Drago Centro!

Hit or miss if it's busy or not. Have come on a Friday at 3:30pm and it's totally dead; have come at 5pm on a Tuesday and the entire bar is full. Who's to say. But sitting in the glass box that's half outside is a good vibe for a small party (2-4). My drink of choice is the Polly spritzer with no gin (Prosecco only). When I order straight off the menu (with gin) it's too gin heavy for me and more like a drink than a spritzer. $16 The bruschetta duo is tiny and comes with one thin slice each and is definitely an appetizer for one. You could split and cut the five inch toast in half, but why. Not worth $14 ($7 per toast?!) The mushroom pizza was good but incredibly light. It's more of a thin cracker crust than a pizza. Not worth $18. You could probably each both the bruschetta and pizza on your own and still be hungry. Fine for an after work spritzer but the food is way too overpriced to do drinks and snacks.

I had a business lunch here recently and haven't been in more than 7 years, and it was just as good as I remember. Free parking underneath the building, elevators open right into the restaurant. Super friendly staff and the wine selection is amazing. I had several veg options to choose from and went for the ravioli. It was soo good that I didnt even think to get a photo first!

Service while attentive was extremely slow for a restaurant that was not that busy. It took 30 mins to bring out salads and then another 30 for entree. Understanding that our party did not order apps or drinks, still was over an hour to get food. Food was good with exception of steak entree, that was ordered medium however came out rare. Based on prior reviews a disappointing experience.

came with a bunch of coworkers on a Wednesday evening (5:15ish) and they were able to squeeze in our group of 8! Despite opening at 5PM, there were plenty of groups at the bar and throughout the restaurant. The hosts were super upfront about the number of reservations they had and let us know the time frame we had (just under 2 hrs, which was plenty!) We ordered 4 Caesar salads to start and they split all of them into 8 individual portions which was great. I had the branzino (on their menu they described it as Mediterranean Sea bass, which is the first I've heard of it) and it was really delicious. So moist and the skin was crispy too!

Drago is one of my least favorite restaurants. While the service and ambiance are consistently good, the food is forgettable. I enjoy the ribeye, but it's nothing special. The pasta is made in house, but none are appetizing. There aren't many similar options nearby, so Drago works in a pinch.

This place is one of my favorites! Being across the street it is always our go to after work. Betty, Jaimie and Sam are beyond hospitable and make us feel like family. The food is beyond amazing and their drink list is just as amazing. I highly recommend this place and everyone there!

My first time there and glad I attended the meeting. Food and service was on point. The ambiance was nice. I had a medium cook steak with Brussel sprout and it was the best.... We asked the server to bring us 4 of the best recommended desserts and he did not fail...

My favorites are seafood risotto, garganelli with sausage and branzino. Drago has become a go-to spot for me, and it's easy to see why. With its delicious dishes, classy ambiance, and amazing service!

Important fact: if you're not familiar with downtown LA streets, I suggest you google Map it ahead of time to see just how to get there before it can be confusing. If you haven't gone to Drago yet, do it. The ambiance is upscale, elegant, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is out of this world. I try to take my mom to new places for different occasions so we can experience different dining spots, but this is the one place she's mentioned repeatedly about wanting to go back to, so I figured she'd appreciate going back for Mother's Day weekend, and as expected she was so happy to go back. Went with my mom and my aunts, and they absolutely loved the entire dining experience. The food was perfection and the service was even better. While I miss the beautiful decor they had during Christmas time, it was still beautiful and overall a fantastic experience. Had a wonderful waiter and an amazing maitre d' that really made sure we had a great experience. So glad we went for this special occasion. Hoping to go back again soon.

This restaurant is impeccable and immaculate. The staff are extraordinarily professional, and I'm sure when the named chef is working the kitchen, the food is most likely glorious. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning... Let me explain I drink one glass of wine one bottle of mineral water I had a salad to start and buffalo cheese, spaghetti, marinara, with what tasted like Thai basil sprinkled on top... The food presented itself wonderfully however, the taste was undoubtedly too salty on both counts. Never before have, I had such a pleasant experience at a restaurant with the exception of the food... The salad was barely edible, and the spaghetti even though House made was barely palatable... It's extraordinary, how the most simple of dishes could get convoluted contrived, and under delivered... I can only attribute just to the fact that the chef... Is just not tasting the food! How do I get food poisoning... This is an unbelievable question. All I can think of is that it must've been the buffalo mozzarella... Have I all of a sudden developed and unconscionable lactose intolerant constitution?... No! Was in someway in some fashion a portion of my meal prepared an area where rolled meat was, perhaps in proximity? I do not know. I am now writing you. This review at six in the morning after an evening of how should we put it complete and utter discomfort. It's a sad state of affairs that I have to write a review for such a well put together Restaurant, that obviously the named/head chef/restauranteur has put his heart and soul into however, these things happen and you have to watch your staff like a hawk. unfortunately, something has slipped through the cracks here and let me just tell you that what slipped through "the cracks" all night for me was not an unholy experience.!. It was HELL. Those of you who are in touch with my reviews, know that I've eaten food all over this world and have watched people toil in kitchens to rise to the top of their game. It seems as though Drago to me is one of those situations, however something has failed detrimentally. Perhaps I will return one day, but for now I'm just a little too scared. Generous two stars

After spending a day at a conference at the Westin Bonaventure, followed by a visit to City Club for a mixer of sorts, a group of nine of us headed to Drago Centro for dinner. We walked in to a nicely decorated, well laid out restaurant. We were greeted and seated relatively quickly for a party of our size without a reservation. Once seated, it took a little time for our server and their team to present us with menus and serve us water. Once things got started the pace improved. Appetizers, charcuterie boards and fresh mozzarella were delivered pretty quickly, and then pastas and proteins followed. After dessert, things slowed way down! We waited and waited for the check. (As mentioned in many reviews, this place is not cheap.) After paying we left and walked back to the hotel in about 5 minutes. I would not rate the food and service on par with the prices charged; but the food was good as was the service.

This restaurant is good, but it is a bit underwhelming. When you walk in, it is very nice - they have multiple different rooms and they're nicely decorated. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our waitress was very pleasant! She is was attentive, made recommendations, and overall very polite. For the prices, especially during lunch hours, you definitely do not get what you pay for. The food was alright, the flavors didn't stand out, per say. The portions are quite small. Overall, this restaurant may be a good place to entertain a client during a business lunch (given the location), but not for a special occasion

Drop into the beauty for Dine LA and the food was out of this world. This was my first time at Drago Centro and it did not disappoint. The Dine La menu is a great opportunity to try four courses of well thought out and excellently prepared food. I'm addition to the food the service was amazing with each course being served to everyone at the table at the same time. No one was left waiting for their food to arrive, talk about service. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone it's a hidden gem.

Betty and team are amazing! The food, wine recommendations and incredible service are always on point. We celebrated a 60th Birthday in one of their private dining rooms and it was beautiful. Thank you Drago Centro for a wonderful evening.

Went there for staff lunches. One time I had the branzino, and another time I had a small steak. Prices are pretty much less than $40 for the main course. Haven't tried their desserts as we always run out of time as the service is pretty slow. Beautiful spacious place with lots of sunlight and plants around.

This restaurant is set up for fine dining which is elegant. However, the service didn't follow suit. I had a birthday dinner with a party of 18 people. The service by the waiter (who didn't introduce himself to my party) was mediocre at best. His engagement lacked and the wait for our food and drinks made the situation worse. The good part about our dinner was the food. Every single plate tasted delicious. I just hate that the service lacked in every way shape and form. It almost felt as if the waiter was new. I will not be returning to this restaurant nor do I recommend it.

We had a great experience here last night. Drago Centro is a nice upscale restaurant downtown. Service was top notch. We had the octopus, burrata, and the cured meat board. I had the swordfish, which was delicious.

Food was really good, probably one of the best Caesar salads that I've had in the past couple of years. Service was asked to be expected not over the top, but not bad, just very in the middle. Ambience was beautiful, I think this is one of their winning points. It's very beautiful whether you sit inside or outside and I don't believe you could have a bad table. It's definitely downtown's hidden gym because you wouldn't expect something so gorgeous in this space. Unfortunately, between consuming my salad and the ravioli, I forgot to take a photo. Everyone at the table love their food, and there was not one complaint between 12 people so that should tell you something.

3.5 stars and decided to round down... I have to say this place is a roller coaster for me and it was hard to decide which rating to give it here. The ambience is nice for being in DTLA. It's decorated for the holidays and has both inside and outside seating. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh but a bit underwhelming for the premium prices. The salad was basically just a a spring mix with some slight sauce and pepper. The pasta was very fresh and had good flavor. The dessert was the highlight and very tasty, full of rich soft chocolate with a caramel core and a hazelnut gelato on the side. The downsides are they are very slow. It was warned during our reservation that it does take two hours or so per reservation. However, it still feels longer waiting so long for food and it did take more than 2.5 hours for our table. Also, water cost $112 for our table?!! I didn't even think we got the option to get tap? Overall, this place does have a good food and atmosphere, but prices a bit much for what you get.

Excellent dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with impeccable service . We did Dine LA and were able to sample different pastas, meats and desserts. Everything was delicious. We highly recommend this venue.

The place got packed quickly during lunch. My team and I were one of the first parties to be served. Friendly staff. Ambiance was superb. Felt very upscale. The complimentary bread was delicious. The charcuterie board was tasty. For the main entree, I tried their special squid ink seafood pasta. It did not disappoint. Pasta was Al dente and had a great texture to it. The dish had just the right amount of garlic. Not overpowering. Tomato sauce was superb. The shrimp, calamari, clams, and mussels tasted very fresh. I'm taking a star away because my colleague's jidori chicken dish came out noticeably pink. When brought to the waitstaff's attention, he seemed confused on what the issue was. We had to explain that my colleague was uncomfortable with eating the undercooked chicken. Our whole meal took awhile to come out and we were mistakenly served sparkling water when we asked for flat/still. Overall it was a great meal but I feel their staff can be a bit more attentive.

This is a beautiful restaurant downtown in the City National Tower. We shared a Caesar Salad and a Pappardelle with pheasant. I have never had pheasant before and it was super delicious. The service was also top notch.

The food we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. Our table facing the street was perfect for a relaxed conversation. It is a lovely choice before an art event nearby or a special occasion when you expect a solid flawless dinning experience.

I came here with my coworkers to celebrate a new associate on our team. Parking is a bit tricky in the parking garage underground but we did self-parking and had to be directed where to park. Parking is a bit tight with cars double parked but there is also valet available. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and swanky with both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I ordered the branzino and that fish was so perfectly crisp and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. All the bones were conveniently removed. All of the desserts were quite delicious but the overall favorite were the pistachio semi-freddo and the praline hazelnut chocolate mousse cake. The restaurant also had a sommelier who was able to recommend the perfect bottle of white wine to accompany our meal. Service was excellent and overall, an impressive place, both stunning and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Last time I went was years ago but this is for my recent visit, at lunch on a weekday and sitting outside in the patio. We had a reservation and didn't have to wait. Service was decent, nothing bad but nothing outstanding. Overall the food is better than I remember. Pros: 1. I got the pappardelle con fagiano e morelle and it was really good. It's the signature house dish for good reason. I love the wide noodles which are tenderly soft and perfect. It has "roasted pheasant" which tastes like good shredded chicken, and some flavorful mushrooms. 2. The dessert was really good - like a cross between a chocolate cake and a mousse. Was supposed to only eat one bite but was too good to resist. 3. I never knew this but there is an elevator that goes from the valet area (if you pull up another 75 feet from the normal stop) directly into the restaurant. Cons: 1. A bit on the pricier side but on par for a nice restaurant in a Downtown office building, plus valet parking.

2 stars for great atmosphere and amazing service but the prices are astronomical (given its location so understandable), but the food quality is so bad. For starters, the bread and butter was average. Charcuterie board was just okay but they came with these little square puffy fried donuts that were the best part of the night. I had the clam linguine which had no flavor. Their menu doesn't describe what sauces they make, I assumed a white wine type of butter sauce but it was frozen clams and linguine tossed in oil with way too much salt and no flavor. The noodles were cooked nicely al dente. I asked for some lemons to squeeze in because the clams tasted so fishy it was inedible. The lemon made everything worse haha. The dessert vanilla gelato was good. Service, again, was phenomenal. I will not return.

The food at Drago Centro was good, but I did not have a good experience here with my large party in the past week. We chose Drago Centro for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and had worked with Drago for our large party reservation. We had initially been placed in the Flower Room, but ended up having to "upgrade" to the Front Plaza since we had exceeded the head count. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to stop by the restaurant and review the room we had chosen until our dinner. To our disappointment, the Front Plaza literally meant the common space shared between the restaurant and the skyscraper that it shares a common entry to. It is not a private patio for our group, and the bustling LA streets were the background noise to our special dinner. There were also other restaurant guests that walked through the front plaza nearing our table to get in and out. It did not feel intimate at all. We were not explained the situation and the difference between the Flower Room and the Front Plaza; and felt we were not properly informed to make the best decision for such an important dinner. We separately also had a minimum spend to hit even though we basically were casted to the front door of the restaurant. As a party of 17, we had to spend at least $1800, and had to adhere to the prix fixe menu provided from the restaurant. For sitting at the front porch, this was way overpriced for the ambiance we had. We ended up reaching the minimum spend for the party, but this was all because we were charged for the water!! Drago had charged us almost $100 for 14 bottles of water. We were NOT informed that the water had a charge, and was also not presented the option for tap, still, or sparkling water. I felt swindled! The server knew who was the head of the party (bride and groom), and did not inform us at the beginning of the dinner! Not to mention, on top of the $1800 food and drinks minimum, we were also charged an additional 20% for service, and 5% coordination fee. What coordination was done? I don't feel this was justified as I was placed in the front of the restaurant with zero privacy. I may as well have just strolled in with my large party, ordered different food, and the ambiance would have still been better. I'll have to say, the food and the drinks were good. I especially liked their chocolate mousse dessert, along with the steak. Pasta also was very fresh. All in all the food was good, but I highly doubt I will be recommending anyone to have any special events here, or returning again as the coordination and customer management was severely lacking. I had emailed the restaurant a week ago and also did not receive any response for my feedback.

Had an enjoyable dinner here with friends. Everything we ordered was fresh and as expected. Service was also attentive at times but at one point we ran out of water. Other than that, it was great. They also fixed our table so it would stop wobbling. Definitely recommend the Il Polpo. It is seared octopus that's paired with a potato puree, baked onions, and parsley. The octopus was tender and cooked perfectly. Also really liked the Fazzoletto which is a handkerchief pasta. It comes with crab in an arugula pesto with chili flakes and lemon zest. Sounds simple but the pasta was really silky and the flavors balanced one another. Parking is underground. The entrance to the parking is off of 5th St and Flower St but it is narrow so it can easily be missed. The restaurant validates for the parking.

Everything you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber. Loved the scallop daily special, would come back.

This is my second time eating here and it was a better experience! ::Drinks:: I'm a fan of their cocktails! Bella Connection is refreshing and it was made perfectly. It has Mezcal, cucumber, agave nectar, lime, and tajin around the rim. The Hibiscus Margarita is made of Tequila Blanco, lime, hibiscus water, mint, and simple syrup. ::Food:: We ordered so many things on the menu so I'll mention what stood out for me. For appetizers, the Le Cozze e Le Vongole dish came with mussels and clams flavored with tomato, garlic, and white broth. The Insalata di Pesche Grigliate needed more salad dressing but we all liked it. Time for the main dish, I choose the Gil Spaghetti ai Fruitti di Mare. The pasta was al dente and the portion was just right. It was topped with clams, calamari, and scallops; I asked for no mussels. ::Dessert:: The two desserts that I liked the most are the II Cannolo and II Tiramisu. We also got the II Cioccolato and Torta di Formaggio. ::Customer Service:: -Carlos made fabulous cocktails! -Mark was attentive. He checked on us often. ::Covid-19 Protocols:: -Not all the staff wore a mask -Mask required -Hand sanitizers are available ::"MeH" Moment:: -We had a reservation and came on time but we ended up waiting for a while to get seated (it was not busy) but overall we were satisfied with the customer service. I stopped by Drago Centro for dinner with some friends on a Saturday, as we were going to the nearby Hasan Minhaj comedy show at the Microsoft theater on a Saturday. Parking was a breeze as they validate parking for 3 hours (located underground just off of Flower street). We ordered several appetizers to share, entrees, and dessert. My friends were kind enough to let me sample their dishes. APPETIZERS: La Burrata ($17) - This came with some arugula, burrata cheese, fresh tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, thin wafers and some prosciutto. Since no one in my group eats pork we omitted the prosciutto. Everything about this appetizers was extremely fresh, the arugula, tomatoes and the creamy cheese. While everything tasted great, my major complaint about this appetizer like the other appetizers is that they are over priced for the portion that they give you. I would recommend skipping appetizers all together. Insalata Estiva ($16) - This consisted of a summer salad, heirloom tomato, watermelon, mozarella, olive oil and balsamic glaze. The salad was refreshing, but the portion was small. El Polpo ($22) - Seared octopus, potato puree, baked onions and parsley completed this dish. The octopus tasted great and was my favorite of all the appetizers that I tried. ENTREES: L'Agnellio in Padella ($40) - Pan roasted lamb loin was prepared medium rare and tasted pretty good with no gaminess. Eggplant puree and a crispy Peruvian potato rounded out this dish. Il Fazzoletto ($32) - This was my favorite dish of the evening and was made with handkerchief pasta, lump crab, arugula pesto and light chili flakes. Il Branzino ($40) - This dish consisted of a pan roasted bass, risotto cake, summer squash, beuree blanc sauce (we skipped the sauce as no one at my table drinks alcohol). DESSERTS: La Panna Cotta ($14) - The vanilla panna cotta came with a rhubarb compote and a Greek yogurt sorbet. Even though I like panna cotta I didn't care for this dish. Il Tiramisu ($14) - While beautiful plated, taste wise I was disappointed in the tiramisu. Il Ciocolatto ($15) - Out of all the desserts I tried this was my favorite. It consisted of an extremely rich and decadent hazelnut chocolate mousse. Overall all the dishes here are beautiful works of art. Unfortunately the appetizers are over priced given the portion size. All the entrees I tried here were good, nothing really wowed me though. I was disappointed in the desserts except for the il ciocolatto. The have indoor seating as well as patio seating, and provide complimentary bread which was extremely basic and not that great.

This high end restaurant in downtown LA serve good fresh cuisine with the price to match... the drinks are good as well... But, beware of the WATER service: They will ask you if you want sparking or flat water, with out any clarification. Meaning, they will charge you for both. The "Flat" water is not tap water, it is expensive bottle water. Our water bill was over $120 for the night. They keep refilling the water all night. JUST BECAREFUL !!!!!!!! (My friend said they knew what they were doing..)

Sharing a weird dining experience we had a few months ago here, which started on the lowest of lows and ended on a slightly better note. We've been fortunate that in these 7 years in the US, we haven't been treated differently due to the colour of our skin/the way we dress, until today. This is a $$$ place. We had reservations early on. We didn't feel like dressing up too fancy, we had a tiring week. Everyone who was waiting to be seated was warmly greeted and immediately seated. It took them several minutes to seat us given the fact we had reservations and rest were walk-ins. There was an evident difference in the way we were greeted. We sat and waited for water/menus to be served. Everyone around us, parties who arrived later, were provided menus/water and already had servers taking their order. The waiters did not even look at us or our table, just casually passed by it at least 10 times. Finally we managed to make eye contact with one of the servers and that's when things got slightly on track. Yet our food and drinks took the longest to arrive. It wasn't a busy hour, we weren't ordering a ton of food, given we had limited options as vegetarians. BUT, when our food arrived, it was top notch! We had the marinara spaghetti & the basil pesto spaghetti..the richest, creamiest sauces, small portions, but yet quite filling. And, we were blown away by the panna cotta. The coconut meringue and mango sorbet were out of the world! Undoubtedly, one of the best desserts we've ever had. If you're still reading this, thank you for reading my TedTalk haha! I'm not impressed, the salad had a fly in it and the pasta course was mediocre, the octopus was good and the dessert had a hair in it. The staff were very gracious and took the items off the check . The atmosphere was very nice and I would be willing to give it another try but I am going to have a meat entree

Food is overpriced for the size of the plates. I paid $20 for a ball of mozzarella and two grape tomatoes with one super thin slice of toasted bread as thick as a quarter.

Went here for our office holiday lunch, and it was well below the standards (at least in my mind) of what Drago has been or should be. Here were some of the issues we had. Apparently, you have to ask for bread & butter. Drinks took forever. Refills even longer. We got full on appetizers because our entrees took OVER AN HOUR to be served. Food presentation was totally lacking (it looked like a toddler threw together some food on a plate). Food was also under-seasoned and kinda cold. Sad to say, this place has lost all of its finesse. I won't be going back, and I definitely won't be recommending this place for any client meetings in the future.

We celebrate my birthday last night at this beautiful place the Food was exquisite! The service was amazing the ambiance was so beautiful and the people were very welcoming and friendly! The waiters were very nice.. Kudos to all the staff.Definitely we will comeback!!!!

the service here was impeccable! we arrived a little before 8pm on a friday (no wait!) and was greeted warmly by the hosts. everyone was so friendly and welcoming. they made sure to frequently check on us and never let us run out of water. the pasta i ordered was SO good and the almonds added such a nice crunch! i don't even like almonds but for some reason i couldn't get enough of them! my dessert was so rich and yummy but i would suggest splitting it with a friend next time-the mousse was almost too rich once i got halfway. i definitely recommend this place

Horrible service, food was very small portions, lacked favor. Service fought over taking our table - in front of us. Said we were unhappy and still auto gratuity the bill. Reached out to management with no reply. This place went downhill, fast. Horrible experience especially for a client dinner.
