"In Downtown LA's once-bustling Financial District, I find Celestino Drago's flagship Italian restaurant has a new managing partner in Piero Selvaggio, who is overseeing front-of-house operations and working with Drago to produce an updated, upscale Italian menu tailored for outdoor dining. The restaurant reopened with a newly laid-out outdoor dining area in late July offering full-service Italian dishes such as pastas, grilled octopus, and pan-roasted branzino, but it has seen a significant dropoff in normal business because many bankers and lawyers are staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Drago Centro has always been the biggest, most ambitious of Drago's restaurants — known for expense-account prices, big wine lists, and formal service — and it originally opened right at the start of the Great Recession in 2008; with landlord support and Selvaggio's decades of experience, I hope the team can adapt and bring the restaurant back to firmer footing while focusing on making every guest extremely happy." - Matthew Kang
