"Hanging out in a hotel lobby is not something we’d normally recommend as a fun experience—unless it’s the Drawing Room in the Loop’s Chicago Athletic Hotel. It has dark wooden paneling, comfy leather seats, tons of tables, and not one, but two fireplaces, each framed by ornate stone columns and intricate designs right above them. So whether you’re here doing work and drinking coffee or eating a BLT on a lunch break, you can at least stay toasty in Ivy League clubhouse-style." - adrian kane, john ringor
"Land & Sea Dept. is vacating the building’s second floor, home of Cherry Circle Room, a vintage Chicago restaurant without windows surrounded by dark wood; Milk Room, a tiny eight-seat bar that pours fancy drinks and vintage spirits; and Game Room, the bar area outside Cherry Circle Room that serves light bites and beer surrounded by pool tables and other games.
