Best Korean Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"It’s all about the tofu at this recently opened restaurant in Duluth’s K-town. The folks here make their tofu (or “du bu” in Korean) fresh every morning with organic soybeans imported from Danyang, Korea and spotlight it into a variety of their dishes. If you’re craving a comforting bowl of soondubu (tofu stew), they’ll have you covered with multiple options, including kimchi, pork, seafood, and perilla seed mushroom. There’s also hearty meat dishes such as LA kalbi and a fantastic tofu with stir-fried spicy pork barbecue." - Michael Tran

Best Restaurants for Soup in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"In a bustling Gwinnett Place strip mall, this spot serves fresh soon dubu, a comforting tofu stew made fresh daily with organic, non-GMO soybeans from South Korea. The menu revolves around steaming hot stone bowls of tofu, from mild and soft to fiery and spicy tofu, topped with enoki mushrooms, oysters, or kimchi. The perilla seed soon dubu stands out with its nutty flavor, as creamy tofu is paired with crushed perilla seeds and enoki mushrooms. Upgrade the meal with thistle rice with undertones of green tea, or the umami-rich mushroom rice with a spread of banchan — from crunchy lotus root to creamy carrot mac and cheese." - Eater Staff

I saw that this was a new place with good reviews so we stopped by to try it out. This restaurant makes their own firm tofu for their dishes which is kinda nice! The decor and atmosphere is super cute with lots of greenery. It’s a clean space and the staff are very attentive whenever you need anything. I was worried since there wasn’t a button but they were always ready whenever you needed them. We got Combo set 2 and set 3 for the oyster tofu soup with LA galbi and the oyster tofu soup with grilled fish. The fish and the galbi was good but the tofu soup was just okay. We always get oyster tofu soups at other Korean places but I felt like the flavor of the soup was less in depth and lacking. However, they do give you a lot of oysters which was nice. The price is also pretty affordable comparable to other places. I would give it another try to try some of their other dishes but I’m still iffy on the soft tofu soup as of right now.

Was in town and stopped by with friends. Although it looks quite unassuming from the outside, the interior and ambience was a lovely surprise when we first entered. The staff are very pleasant. I LOVED the seafood scallion pancake. Was a little disappointed that they didn’t have beef soon dubu jiggae, which is one of my faves. But what they had was delicious (the banchan was average). The spicy dishes can be quite spicy, so beware. But overall, had a very enjoyable experience.

Food was good. Very modern and simple. Interior is spacious which is really nice not to hear next table. Tofu was bit bland. Being made at restaurant thought would have more flavor but maybe I was expecting too much. Overall was good. If I crave tofu....would visit again to try other dishes.

Probably the best Korean restaurant I have been to. Spacious interior, clean and modern. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious and fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection and nothing tasted artificial or overly seasoned. This place really reminds me why I love authentic Korean food.

Always wanted to visit this place. I ordered a hot pot for two. It comes with two bowls of rice and bunchan. It was a plenty of food. We could not even finished. Tofu was dense but easy to eat. I simply enjoyed every bite. What I noticed was their way of service. The servers didn’t come to us unless I call them or make eye contact. They were quick to respond and always near me. Basically they left us alone to enjoyed meal. Recommend to anyone who wants to eat tasty tofu dish.

I’m a foodie who lived and explored extensively at NYC, Las Vegas, & Atlanta all. And this is the only soon tofu place which impresses me that much and offers a unique menu. They make their own fresh tofu from scratch! None of the Korean soon tofu restaurants I’ve dined at can match up on that. And believe me, I tried too many. Kimchi pancake has been my all time favorite but all previous restaurants offered just plain kimchi pancakes without protein. I’ve been dreaming about kimchi squid pancake for years and even tried making it myself but I’m not that good at cooking. It was so much surprise when I found out DuBu Gong Bang offers the exact dish of my dream! I’ve heard of this place when it opened but figured, “maybe just another soon tofu place, nothing special.” Now I regret my own words and wished I could dash here the first moment of its grand opening. Anyways, a bit sentimental. Cuz I’m relocating to Las Vegas and I gotta say goodbye to DuBu Gong Bang. Best wishes to this business! I definitely dream that DuBu Gong Bang can become a franchise and open their branch in Las Vegas!!!

Have been wanting to try this restaurant since they opened and finally had my opportunity. Everything was excellent! From the food to the service to the beautifully designed interior. All our dishes were so tasty and the freshly made tofu is expertly crafted. The banchan and meat dishes were also very delicious. I look forward to my next visit. Will definitely be back.

The wait time for food was quite long. It took about 30 minutes for the first dish to arrive after we placed our order (Wednesday Lunchtime). It seems the kitchen isn’t equipped to handle the number of customers they’re serving. The food was tasty. The tofu, in particular, reminded me of the traditional style you’d find in the Korean countryside
