Duff's Famous Wings

Fantastic place!! We stopped here on our way to Pennsylvania, im so glad we did. We were greeted and seated by very friendly staff! They had a great menu and fantastic service. I got 10 of their death wings and they were really really hot!!! But very tasty. We also bought one of their signature hot sauces. We enjoyed our time here and all of our food. Well worth checking out if your in the area or passing through buffalo.

Duff’s has some really great wings and onion rings as well as jalapeño poppers. The atmosphere is very young and casual. They have a great beer selection. The servers are very nice and go out of their way to attend to your needs. Prices are very reasonable. Parking on the other hand is first comes first serve basis and the lot isn’t very big. Other than that. The food is amazing as well as the service and the prices are very very comparable. I recommend anybody in the Buffalo area to try this place out.

First-time visitor to Duff’s Wings in Buffalo, NY. I was really excited to try it, but honestly, the wings were pretty average — maybe even a bit below. Nothing particularly special. We ordered 5 Medium, 5 Medium Light, and 5 Spicy Garlic Parmesan. The Medium and Medium Light were the better ones, but overall the wings felt slightly overcooked and lacked the flavor punch I expected. Also, it was surprisingly more expensive than what I’m used to back in NYC. The staff were friendly and the service was good, but overall, the wings were just okay.

Always wonderful to eat at a “local” famous place. Wings were very good, crispy and meaty but came on a mound of grease which is not my preference. Good choice of flavors and spiciness for the wings. Small wait on a Sunday afternoon.

So, I know there happens to be a huge debate about who has the best chicken wings in Buffalo. Who's the original or most authentic?... This post won't be able to answer any of those questions, but I will share my opinion of Duff's. The staff are kind and friendly to everyone. It definitely is a busy spot, but I think that is a testament to the consistency they put out time and time again. I am someone who prefers "HOT" wings, but at Duff's medium is definitely enough to heat to satisfy the soul. I think it's worth trying for anyone in the mood for cold beer and hot wings. I'd say 4.5 stars all day!

Duff’s was solid. Visiting Buffalo it was recommended many times and it did not disappoint. Even though I didn’t think they were the best wings in town, they were definitely really good. I also got a beef on weck which was pretty good as well.

Duffs - a family favorite since the 1970s. Great atmosphere, wonderful service and fantastic wings. Hot are VERY hot, so just be mindful of that. Those days are over for me, so it's just mild & light on the sauce now, from here on in. Highly recommended.

The Best chicken wings ever! Their attention to detail tells it all. The wings were cooked perfectly! So crunchy outside and so tender inside. Never had a wings such as this! My whole family loved it.

Duff's means a lot to me. As a born and raised Buffalonian, this for me, was always the apex of chicken wings. I remember when Sheridan Drive was the only location, and we would skip school and go for wings. When I was back in the area for the holidays this year, we stopped in for some wings and I didn't actually feel like I was "home" (for me, home is Chicago now) until I went to town on these wings. Quality has NEVER diminished, service is always excellent, and even though it was a Friday we only had to wait for like 25 mins for the table. We ordered 25 BBQ and 25 Medium, with Loganberry drinks on the side. A truly Buffalo meal.

Good but wildly overpriced and a bit disorganized. First know this place is insanely busy. The wings are good but they aren't THAT good, it appears they are thriving mainly from their name. The wait staff was friendly but we had three different people working with us. We had a table of four, we ordered wings and three appetizers. The appetizers each came out one at a time, about 10 minutes apart each. The wings took about 40 mins to come out, which is crazy. They were cooked well done but the temperature was nuclear hot and I got a bit of mouth burn. That's ok thought, I don't mind food straight from the kitchen, so I could have waited. The sauce is decent but very salty, much spicier than your standard heat scale. Hot is super hot, just like they say. As far as the presentation goes, the wings were so so overloaded with sauce it was almost like a bowl of hot sauce soup with some wings stuffed in it. All in all this was a one time experience for us to say we've been here but I wouldn't go again nor would I recommend it.

Best wings I've had in my life! Wow. Just the right amount of crispy on the outside, awesome Buffalo sauce flavor, tender meat with almost no fat. Medium light was the perfect spiciness level for us. We like spicy food, but want to be able to enjoy the food too. I substituted ranch for the blue cheese that comes with the wings. My husband got the Italian sausage sandwich, which was okay. He was expecting a sausage in a hotdog bun. He said the sandwich could have used some kind of sauce with it (he thought it would be good with marinara). The sandwich had peppers and had a nice kick to it. The fries were thin, lightly salted, and the right level of crispy. Service was efficient and quick. We walked in at 11:30am on a Saturday, right before the lunch rush, and were seated right by away. When we left, the place was full and there were multiple parties waiting to be seated. Ambiance is kind of a diner feel. Bathroom was clean. If I'm ever Buffalo again, I would definitely come back for Duff's wings!

We were greeted upon entering and taken to a table. The waitress took our order which was 2 (10) wings medium, which is their hot. Service was fast and the the wings were delicious, cooked to perfection, it also came with celery, carrots and blue cheese. The waitress was excellent. The atmosphere in the room was great, however the bathroom could use some updating. But overall it was a great dining experience

Definitely one of the traditional wing staples in my opinion , wings were a nice size , the blue cheese was chunky and the beer was cold even giving celery and carrots. If an out of towner asked I would send them here rather than a few other spots ijs!

Visiting Buffalo for the long weekend and made this our first stop. What a great decision!! This is the original location so you know it's seen some things. Come during lunch so you can get the beef on weck + 5 wings lunch deal for $19.99. You get the best of both worlds getting the Buffalo famous beef on weck and some delicious wings. I really liked the horseradish sauce on the weck sandwich and gave it a nice punch. The wings were phenomenal and were super crispy, nice size, and great sauce. I also really like that they bring a Duff's bucket out to discard the bones in. I also got their two flagship beers, the Duffalo and Wingman IPA. The wingman ipa was outstanding and not overly hoppy but had great flavor. I can't recommend this place enough.

I would really like to give 3.5 stars. Buffalo pit stop for some wings. Bar Bill first and now Duff's. While Bar Bill has a local bar feel, Duff's gives me more of a corporate vibe for some reason. We only got 10 piece wings medium because their site does not really promote much else. I am not sure if we took too long to get there but the wings did not have the crisp skin that BB had. That being said, the sauce is definitely more flavorful than BB's, although that flavor is predominately salt. After the first couple of wings, I was a little overwhelmed by the saltiness and was missing the cleaner flavor of the BB wings. So at least in my opinion, go with BB but maybe go with hot or spicier.

Yes, they're famous for wings but their menu has several Buffalo classics as well. Their Beef on Weck was a perfect example of this classic and absolutely delicious! Get it! My only criticism is that $14.99 seems steep for a sandwich that comes with a bag of chips. I also expected that the chips would be homemade and was surprised when they were not. So I'm glad I also ordered the fried pickle appetizer to share. We ordered takeout but their website doesn't have an option for gift cards so we had to call. However the staff members were polite, quick, and food was ready in 25 minutes.

Had to try some Buffalo wings while in Buffalo. I can see why these are famous because they are really good! I like the the wings are small - therefore they aren't fatty. They're just chicken and crispy crispy skin. The Buffalo sauce (medium) is really good. We also got the garlic parm sauce which was amazing. You can tell they make that sauce in house because you can see the garlic, the parm, and the seasonings. So delicious. The fries were great as well, thin cut and crispy! If you're looking for a great wing place in Buffalo, I highly recommend

Call me crazy for going for chicken wings when I'm not a fan of them. I figured "When in Rome". SO glad I did because Duff's wings were DELICIOUS!! They're cooked just right and they have just the right amount of sauce on them. Would def have returned by now if I didn't live in FL. The fries were a bit plain but that was okay with me because the wings stole the show. The service was friendly and prompt Ambiance is what I'd consider old school & very casual. There's parking on the far side of the building so don't worry if you don't see parking at first. I recommend Duffs!!

Came as part of my 5,800 mile 30 city food trip. Went to anchor bar for the original and all locals and friends who have been to Buffalo suggested duffs for a better experience. Service was great. Wings were quality. Their hottest flavor was definitely hotter than anchor bar but still on the mild side for "hottest" on menu. Enjoyed significantly more to the original anchor bar...

Came here from a recommendation of a local and the wings delivered! Also, the shoestring style fries went well with the wings. We'd come back if we are ever in the area!

Ordered: 10 Famous Wings + 2 Sides Lunch Special (~$20): with fries and onion rings (+$1) and ranch (+75¢), served with celery, carrots, and Duff's blue cheese 1 Duffalo Beer (~$6) Aya's take: Day trip to Buffalo means trying some buffalo wings! Duff's is up there with Anchor Bar (and others) for the best buffalo wings and after really liking Anchor Bar, I wanted to see how these compared. They have a great lunch special deal from 11am-4pm which I decided to take advantage of. The wings were a good size and were pretty crispy despite being smothered and soaked in their buffalo sauce. These were definitely saucier and spicier than most buffalo wings I've had. There's a strong amount of vinegar which made them a bit tangy; this was a bit overpowering for me. The blue cheese was surprisingly good and didn't have that sharp and pungent flavor it usually would. They give 2 blue cheese cups when I would've preferred the option of 1 blue cheese + 1 ranch; I ended up having to pay extra for the ranch. The fries were pretty standard and the onion rings were solid. The Duffalo beer paired really nicely with the wings and overall, this was super filling and definitely shareable among 2 people. All in all, Duff's was a bit too vinegary which makes the heat from the buffalo sauce permeate more and more as you eat. Not my preferred buffalo wing but really great try nonetheless!

Ordered a side salad, removing tomatoes and red peppers. I received a tiny bed of lettuce with two cucumbers and no croutons for 5.99. Server was great, she assisted with selecting wing favors and preparation.

On a Saturday evening, on a lovely spring day, plan to wait. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but once seated service was very good. Duff's is not a large restaurant, and they have a busy take-out service so there were a lot of people both in the "lobby" and just outside the front doors of the restaurant waiting. We ordered the spicy BBQ wings. They were very good, and very sloppy! The sauce was very generously applied. I did not think the wings were very spicy, but they were still quite tasty.

When you're in Buffalo...gota try as many wings as you can! This was our first time here. Service was fast, wait time on food was reasonable and the dining area was clean.

In the context of buffalo wings, this is as good as it gets! Duff's is one of the classic places to get wings in Buffalo, and this location is the original (I think). The wings are really crispy and there are a ton of different spice levels you can choose from. Aside from sharing a platter of wings, we also got the pizza rolls, which are like fried egg rolls stuffed with cheese and pepperoni and pizza sauce. It wasn't bad, just tastes exactly how you'd expect. The service is quick and efficient -- wait wasn't too long -- and I think it's so funny that they give you a big bucket to put all the bones in. They also provide lots of napkins which is very useful bc these wings get so messy!!! Fries are ok. Ambiance inside isn't cute or aesthetic or anything, but also it's a wings place :p

I picked up an order while in town, intent to try the famous wings. The food was as great as expected and well packaged for takeout. The pickup experience was a bit rocky, but overall easy. I highly recommend giving Duff's a try if you find yourself passing through town, like me.

Duffs is a Buffalo staple! If you have never been, it should be on your list! The wings are traditional and bring back all the nostalgia. We got 10 medium and 10 bbq. Definitely love the traditional medium best! BBQ is good but not as good as the traditional flavors in my opinion. We most recently dined at Duffs on National Chicken Wing Day and were seated in about 10 mins. Service was great as well as the wings. Yum!

When in Buffalo...or close to, come to Duff's! Wings were excellent. Wanted to come to the original location. Only waited like 15 min. Service was excellent and place was packed. Also tried the pizza logs. They were good as well. Wings, 5 stars. I got medium hot and I like fire. I could have went up to hot.

Wings were great, service was great! We were traveling to Niagara Falls and stopped because we heard someone on our plane talking about how good the wings were. We are so glad we overheard that conversation!!!

Recommended to stop here while visiting Buffalo for work. Wings stayed crunchy 5 star. Medium sauce was a bit too vinegary. Homemade bleu cheese dressing was ok. I'm a ranch girl and wasn't too fond of it. Customer service was awesome. Original Duffs place is old skool and not modern like what we are use to. Give it a shot to say you did it. Could have went with the small fries, large was too much for 3.

After much consideration about where we should experience wings in Buffalo, NY, we selected this Duff's location. Absolutely no regrets. We did 20 wings, half medium and half sweet cajun. Neither my husband or I found the medium particularly spicy and felt it was comparable to a standard wing, heat-wise. Wings were crispy, hot, and impossible to stop eating, though. We found that having the two flavors was a nice complement to each other to switch things up. Blue cheese was a first for us, but went great with the wings which were accompanied by plenty of celery and carrots. The location itself had lots of seating, service was prompt and super friendly. Highly recommend stopping by.

The food was amazing and fresh. Everything came out quickly and hot. The staff was very friendly and engaged in conversation about how our day was. Would highly recommend and look forward to going again.

I had a friend from the Netherlands visiting and of course I took him for wings. Saturday night around 6pm is not the best time to go to Duffs, they are packed. We had a 30 minute wait, not too bad; it gave him a idea how popular wings are in Buffalo. Once seated the service was good, we had our drinks in no time. My wife and I shared an order of 20 spicy BBQ wings. They were very good, very hot and extremely sloppy! Just wonderful. There was plenty of sauce, but it was not as spicy as I had hoped for. Duffs is my place to take out of town guests to show them the real wings!

Duff's is my family's go-to place for wings. There is usually a wait, but it's worth it! You can grab a beer while you are waiting for your table. We came with a large party of 14 and they were able to accomodate us. It can get a little cramped inside and it is ALWAYS busy which of course means that it's legit! We always order the medium wings with fries. The wings are meaty and fried to perfection. You will not find a shrimpy wing in the batch. They are COVERED in sauce. The medium has some heat! Their beef on weck is also a popular item. I tried the mac and cheese and it was pretty good! They have a great kid's menu for the little ones. This place is definitely no frills, but an excellent place to get a true taste of authentic buffalo wings. Service was great and there is plenty of parking. Duff's will always be a favorite!

I am a true Duff's fan. Will only eat wings when I'm in Buffalo and only from Duff's. I prefer my wings crispy so I like that they have the option to order them xcrispy or xxcrispy. I love spicy but unfortunately my family cannot tolerate the heat so I always order the hot sauce on the side. My boyfriend wishes the wings came in fun flavors like garlic, teriyaki... The fries are good too but are cut too thinly so sometimes they're hard and burnt which I like mine more soggy. The onions rings are a good alternative. We tried the pizza logs for the first time which were okay, literally a mozzarella stick wrapped with pepperoni and wrapper. If you're in Buffalo you must eat here. The restaurant is clean but dark inside so I prefer to eat my wings in the comfort of my home.

Lives up to the hype, I've sample quite a few establishments and duffs is top tier. Are they the best always depends on what you're looking for. Best sauce ahhhhh it's good beat wing pretty solid. You can't go wrong if you're in the area and looking for a legitimate BUFFALO wing

Some of the best wings in all of Buffalo .. it's a must to take people from out of town .. wings are always crispy .. all the sauces are great .. some of the best blue cheese in town and the crispy fries are must

We visited the original Duffs, the originator of Buffalo wings woohoo! And they did not disappoint. We were the first ones in and the staff were ready to assist as we headed back to Ohio to catch an afternoon flight! We had the Buffalo shrimp and fries, the mild medium and medium light flavored wings. They were fried well done and perfectly tossed in the Buffalo flavors. Definitely top of my list for the best wings. The interior of the restaurant is well kept and there are photos throughout the establishment of the building dating back to 1946 which is super cool.

Duff's has some of the best wings. They are the perfect size, very crispy and seasoned well. Every time I come to Buffalo I hit Duff's straight from the airport. They are consistently good. I have yet to find my favorite wing spot in Charlotte, NC. I am still exploring. Duff's and At Eleven have raised the bar on deliciousness. They never disappoint me and have high standards. Cooked in fresh oil, fresh celery and carrots and ranch dressing. The service is excellent. The crowd is managed well whether dining in or carrying out. It gets a bit noisy which I don't understand because I personally am too busy eating to be talking so much.

Services good food was pretty good ambience pretty typical I don't know what it is about there wings they just don't seem like the same quality as you would get at like say the anchor.

There is long standing battle of who is better in the chicken wing business. I would never dare offend the die hard Duff's customers! There really is no need to. Duffs always provides top quality amazing food whether it's dine in or takeout. DON'T ask for ranch they will know you're not from Buffalo! lol TRUST me it's a Buffalo thing!Their house made blue cheese is delicious even if you're a ranch fan I never was until I moved to Buffalo. The chicken wings are a tad smaller than other places but I wonder if it's from local sourcing? They are what a chicken wing should look like, not the ones from other places that look like the chickens were forced to hit the gym. The sauce is amazing and the inside is reminiscence of the an old Buffalo hangout. Good place to take out of town'ers who want that Buffalo wing experience every Buffalonian brags about!

Worth every bloody red cent. The wings were great. It's a little hole in the wall but omg! I will be back. The waitress was also great.

Terrible customer service. Disaster wait lines. Expensive. I know the price of chicken initially skyrocketed when the pandemic first started but $18 for 10 wings. No vegan options. Just didn't enjoy the experience.

The service was spot on. Cute little place - gave me memories from when I would take the kids out to eat after a baseball game. Wings were just wings. Not bad but nothing fancy. I think I would return again. And bring the kids.

SO and I were in Buffalo for a few days and stopped in for lunch. The staff here are friendly, helpful and attentive. I ordered 10 medium and SO ordered 10 medium light with a side of carrots/celery and extra blue cheese. The medium spice level is just right for those who enjoy spicy foods, although I liked the crispiness of the medium light. Might be better to get the medium light and ask for a side of medium for dipping if you want to retain the crispiness. Due to the size of the wings and side of veggies, this was a full meal! Bottom line, the service was fast and the food was tasty! One of the best wings I've ever had.

My experience was terrible at duffs , They charge $35 dollars for a double order of wings. The services is OK. They brought the wings and I couldn't even eat them. They were so small they were baby wings.. wings are bought by the pound, this is slimy and bullshit with this restaurant is trying to do selling baby pteeny wings when you're paying that kind of money if you're smart, don't go there . What a heartbreak when you're not ready to eat and you can't because the restaurant tries to rip you off I'll never step foot in that fucking place again should've went to fucking wild wings. anybody that gives his place a good review don't know what the hell they're talking about. They must not have a clue. Worst swings. I've ever had in my life.

Visited the OG location again this time with the family, was not disappointed, service was great, wings were delicious, ordered extra crispy medium, almost too spicy for us, but very good, food arrived piping hot direct from the fryer, not a single small wing in the bucket! Wings, fries and beverages were spot on, never disappointed with the service & wings from Duffs!!!

Easy wait with lawn games and popsicles on the patio. Super friendly service inside. The wings were mouth watering. I did the mild mild and they were the perfect Buffalo wing with a tiny little heat and heavy butter sweet. He did the medium and it was spicy hot and he loved it. The wings are a great size, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. You can also order your wings saucy, saucy saucy, or super saucy! Wing perfection is happening in this family owned joint 1948. I met the new owner and grandson of the original owner. He comes and checks on you himself. He's a sweet little treat. Eye candy and wings!
