Small bar in Brooklyn with a good quality of burgers. A good choice for a lunch and enjoy the area. Nothing special but it's worth it I liked their Dumont burger, plain, where you can taste all the flavor of the burger.

Did someone say the best burger on the planet? I think so 🤩 Been coming to this place for 15 years, and it always holds the highest standard, serves great food, good music, by friendly staff.

So after my first visit to DuMont Burger I left fully satisfied. I went with the house burger, It was everything a burger should be, with crispy fries. Finished it with a nice local beer and called it a night! Excellent service, convenient location and a fair price for the neighborhood.

My friend recommended this place and I had an amazing burger from here! This thick, big, juicy hamburger made me really happy! One of the best burgers in my life! I recommend here to everybody!

Shoutout to Dona, the hospitality and service that was shown towards myself, might only rival the AMAZINGLY FRESH FOOD at DuMont Burger! Kitchen closes at 10:30pm, which i hadn’t realized when I walked in at 10:15pm, but Dona took great care of me and the food came out PIPING HOT. The Mac & Cheese & Fresh Fries Are FANTASTIC! Definitely will be back to tryout the rest of the menu. Their Red Sangria was very good as well!

The burgers are delicious! They grind their own meat. The ice cream is delicious. I didn’t realize that the owner and founder of this place invented the ice cream cone. They make fresh cones throughout the day on the original cone making press.

Decided it's independence day so why not have a burger and this place had one of the best burgers ever. The party was cooked perfectly and the sides that went with it was perfect. I had the chilled cucumber soup and it was really refreshing and flavorful. Their drinks are also great the mint lemonade and summer days *the drink is summer something I forgot what it is *are really refreshing. The staff are also very professional and friendly. So if you want a great burger check them out.

When I lived in NYC, this was my go-to burger spot and 11/10 recommend! The restaurant is small so it can be difficult to find seating in the evening time if you have a group larger than 3-4. But I've rarely had to wait for seating, there's also a bar to I absolutely love the Dumac & cheeseburger. The Mac & cheese has bits of bacon and it's very flavorful. The patty itself isn't seasoned much so that's my piece of feedback. Otherwise I love the seasoning in the French fries and the portion size is perfect. For this review, I was visiting NY and ordered takeout. It was a windy day and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was still warm and delicious.

I had such a great experience at DuMont Burger! The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was lively with great music playing in the background. I tried the Dumont Burger with extra bacon and cheddar, and it was absolutely delicious. The burger had the perfect combination of savory flavors, with juicy meat, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar. Every bite was full of taste, and the entire meal was a treat. It was the ideal spot for a casual, flavorful dining experience with a great vibe.

Wow. I walked in and was pretty bummed that the seating is pretty much all bar-type. Then I quickly did not give a hoot about that when the food was delivered. We started with the fried pickles which includes fried pickles, friend jalapeños, and fried green beans. Amazing. Then the burger came and blew me away! They know how to prepare a burger. This is by far one of the best burgers in New York! Also, fries and onion rings are solid! And, finally, the pickles are out of this world. I had them fried, on my burger, and as a spear on the side. Oh man, where are they getting them from? They're perfect. 10/10.

The burger and chicken sandwich were soooo good. My boyfriend and I split them but next time I need my own burger.

Williamsburg's hidden treasure! We had an absolute stupendous experience here at Dumont Burger! The vibe here is like no other! From the minute you walk in, to the service and most importantly, the food! We ordered: - The Dumont 8oz. Burger / Soup of the Day: Cream of Mushroom (Delicious) - Turkey Burger / Salad (wife LOVED it as well) This was our second time here, Alejandro, our waiter was incredible! He waited on us on both times! Super helpful! He even offered me a sample taste of the soup of the day, as I was unsure of which item to add to my burger. Kudos to you Alejandro! I can't believe it took me this long to try this place. I ordered delivery, and this burger is easily one of the best I've ever had. It's so hard to find a spot that does home-style burgers right, but this place nails it. Also, I have no idea what they season their pickles with, but they are unbelievably good!

My byline says Livingston, NY, and I have a place there, but I've lived in Williamsburg for fifteen years and been ordering from Dumont in all that time. Something is off about the place lately. Tonight I ordered one of my standards, a skate sandwich with onion rings, and it was pretty awful, to tell the truth. The onion rings were greasy and way underdone, and the skate was greasy and blah. If this wasn't a neighborhood institution, I would say, So what? But it IS an institution, so I want to ask, Do you have new cook? If so, they need to go. Having gone back to my dinner after writing the above, I was overly generous. The take-out meal I got from them tonight was nothing short of DISGUSTING. They get one more chance, and then I'm done.

One of the best burger I've had in NYC, devoured the whole thing. The wings are almost huge and flavorful, blue cheese sauce could use work though. Great service and interior is more of a pub-vibe.

Great mac and cheese + solid burger = Dumac and cheese burger. That's right, the Dumac and cheese burger has combined both of these American classics into one. As expected, it was quite filling and tasty. I got the 8 oz burger, which was quite large, but I was still able to finish it comfortably. I got onion rings as my side, which were definitely better than most, as they were seemingly larger and puffier than usual. That being said, I have a a couple minor complaints with the burger. For one, they put all of the burger toppings (lettuce, pickles, etc.) on the side rather than on the burger. Is it that hard for them to just put it on the burger for me after I had specifically asked for them? Also, the sheer size of the burger made it a bit impractical to eat. And above all, the $19 price tag for this burger was rather expensive. Our waiter was very friendly, though the service speed was a bit slow. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Saturday night, but there were still several open tables available. Overall, Dumont Burger definitely has some good burgers, but potentially not the best value. Still, if you're looking for a solid American food spot in Williamsburg, you should consider Dumont Burger.

The ambience is nice but very casual with lots of bar seats on wooden long thin tables. It has a solid menu and the service and staff are great - but the burger was very average. It was a solid size with the fries though so in terms of bang for your buck it's not a bad deal. Skip the fried pickles though

- I'm only here for the boozy shakes - it was really delicious - they don't allow boozy shakes to go They must get that request a lot, bc I didn't even ask, I was thinking it, but I did not verbalize it - bacon chunks are thick and salty on the maple bourbon shake

Cozy bare bones dive bar. Menu is short and sweet and what you'd expect from such a place. Burgers were great - super juicy, the 8oz especially thick. I had the original which comes as a 5oz patty with special sauce, American cheese, and onion bacon jam. I realllly wished they had the option to make it the 8oz like the other burgers on the menu. Nonetheless, the beef was great and enjoyed it to the very last bite. Fries were hand cut and tended to be on the greasy side, but still much better than any frozen option. Onion rings could've used some work - pretty bland and batter needed seasoning. This is a place you'll either fully appreciate or never return, but regardless, if you're into burgers it's worth a stop.

If DuMont Burger was ever good, it's but a twinkle in some old timers eye these days. $80 for take out for two. Ridiculous. And then to receive underwhelming... everything was a real disappointment.

Stopped by here on 4th of July to grab a quick bite. Sat outside so difficult to describe the vibe but the waiter who helped us was super nice, helpful and appreciative. Food: -Cesar salad - (2/5) - pretty standard and nothing at all exciting. Ordered it at as a side to split a burger. -DuMont buyer - (3/5) - cooked it medium rare which was done correctly but overall the burger itself was lacking. The buttered lettuce was giant and everything kind of slipped out. The other toppings placed on the side which made it harder to prevent everything from slipping out. Meat itself was a bit lacking in seasoning but juicy, so nothing mind blowing but not bad by any means. I probably would stop by for a quick bite but definitely not my destination for burgers.

My girlfriend and I were in the area scoping out venues for her bachelorette party, when we passed by this modest little burger joint with outdoor seating and decided to take a break for lunch. My turkey burger on an english muffin was soooo juicy and flavorful! When you request add-on ingredients like guacamole or bacon, they really do not skimp out on you. (Their double-fried their french fries come in huge portions, as well.) And we definitely beat the heat with a couple vodka lemonades! Come here for casual eats and drinks on a nice day, but don't expect Michelin-level customer service. That's just unrealistic.

Dined here during brunch, it was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The Dumont burger and Dumac & Cheese burger were delicious! The meat was cooked exactly to our liking. Beer was cool and crisp for the warm sunny day. Service was pleasant, our server was quick and attentive. We came in with our 8 month old and opted to leave our stroller since the restaurant is very small inside. Def recommend and will be coming back!

Martin our server (according to the name on the check lol) was incredible. He was so intuitive that there were moments where I thought he was reading my mind! Lol excellent service and the burgers were amazing.

Solid experience at DuMont burger. The location is on bustling Bedford Avenue, easy to find but parking is murder. Small location, another helper described it perfectly as the whole place is a bar. One traditional bar with 6 small stools, one "island" in the center with 6 stools, several stools surround the balance of the place with a small shelf to sit a cocktail on. Service is quick, cocktails run $9 a clip with a generous pour. Coca Cola is actually served in a Coca Cola bottle. The burgers were very good, quality meat on a brioche bun served with lettuce tomato pickles and onions. You are offered a side of French fries, onion rings or salad. The French fries are well above average while the onion rings were very strange, fresh and hot but the batter has a corn dog consistency. I would not get them again. The DuMont mac n cheese was delicious, I can think of at least 5 of my yelp friends who would be head over heals for it. Looking forward to going back as they have a Fried chicken thigh sandwich that looked outstanding. The reason for three stars you ask? The seating is difficult especially when with groups. Thankfully it was early afternoon when I arrived so there was seating available....there is no way I would go in the evening. The parking in the area as mentioned is a disaster. One of my guests ordered a drink that wasn't prepared properly. Prices are very Williamsburg.

If a burgers could be described as sexy that is definitely how I'd describe the Dumac & Cheese burger! It was so flavorful that any other toppings would take away from the experience. The meat was so well seasoned, the Mac and cheese was perfect, and tHe bun was to die for! The prices were startling at first, but the food was soooo good I finished my entire plate! Next time I'll get the 8oz! So good I called my family in Florida to rave about it and demand they come to New York to enjoy it with me!!!!

This is my favorite all-time restaurant! The food is amazing!!! Their burgers are really large and delicious . I've been here a couple of times with some friends and am always thrilled to come again. DuMont's service is one of a kind. All of the staff there are so friendly and are truly there for whatever you need. You absolutely should stop by for a burger or two if you are nearby. 100/10!

I was surprised how delicious their house burger was. Incredibly generous portion and an even bigger mountain of fries. I suggest if two people order burgers to share one side of fries and add a side salad with the second burger. Will definitely go back again.

Fantastic burger spot for a late night snack after a night of drinking! A friend of mine got the Mac Burger, but I went with the classic DuMont Burger. Service was fantastic until our server left for the night as we were trying to pay the bill.

Ordered it for the first time today through seamless, and I loved it ! The dumac and cheese was amazing and so were the fries & burger. Definitely coming back here again !

I googled best burger in Brooklyn and this place came up, but I'm not really sure why... The burger was just like any other bar burger, and the fries were quite soggy and greesey. The meat was quality, but kind of dry and not seasoned very well. I got the mac & cheese burger, and unfortunately it sounded better than it was. The mac & cheese on its own was cool, but combined with the burger it gave the whole sandwhich a kind of sweet taste oddly enough, which is not what i was craving. Lastly the burger cost me 20$! Pretty steep for a run of the mil bar burger if you ask me. In all honesty if they changed a few things here and there this could be a good burger, but they definitely have to go back to the drawing board. I could see some people really liking this type of burger, but it's just not for me!

Great food, good service, and the location is money. Tried and true neighborhood spot in South Williamsburg. Super casual but perfect for a night cap or a solo walk in, wouldn't recommend as a date night spot or as the prime place for a group night out.

I've lived in Greenpoint/Williamsburg for 23 years and Dumont Burger is a place I've been to in the past and enjoyed. It had been a long time since I've been in there but was craving a burger so went yesterday with a friend. The small space had one table seated of 6 or 7 people, all with menus. There were no other customers, including at the bar. My friend and I sat at the bar. There were two people who worked there, a man and a women, both behind the bar. The woman was standing directly in front of where we sat down at the bar, and was texting on her phone. We looked at each other and waited for her to great us. A few minutes later, she had no looked up and neither did the man who was also behind the bar. We were DIRECTLY in front of her so there was no way that she didn't see we were there. After another few moments, the woman finished texting on our phone and instead of looking up and saying hello- or anything- she turned around and walked to the other end where the other male employee was standing at the end of the bar. At this point, about 5 minutes had gone by and finally, in shock, we decided to leave. The lack of "hospitality" was shocking. I was a waitress for years so I tend to be really empathetic towards servers and usually leave a good tip even if the service isn't great. This was jaw-droppingly rude to me. How can a restaurant have people working there who can't even be bothered to say hello to guests. Avoid Dumont Burger at all costs, there are plenty of other places where you will be acknowledged when walking in the door and appreciated for being a patron. If I were the owner of Dumont I would be mortified to have my employees behave this way. Before leaving, my friend walked over to both of them and said, sarcastically "thanks for the warm greeting, we are leaving" to which the both looked at her blankly. What in the world is wrong with people? I guess the 20 somethings didn't get the memo that working somewhere means WORKING and not starting at your phone and ignoring people at all costs. Laughable.

Dumont is our to go Burger joint and we have been patronizing since they first opened and then they sold it and the new management is trying their best to meet and exceed customer service. Tonight we ordered the Buffalo chicken and cream of mushroom soup and the soup was delicious however, we had an issue with the Buffalo chicken sandwich. We called and the young lady gracefully agreed to send a replacement no drama, no interrogation. She was super sweet and we will continue to patronize and recommend Dumont to all our friends. They truly appreciate and value their customer.

Excellent customer service, the server was very friendly and gave good recommendations. I got the house burger cooked medium rare which was perfect in taste and texture, the pickles were also amazing!!! The only reason why it is not 5 stars is the bacon portion was too small and the chips were a bit over cooked. But would highly recommend !!!!

We needed a place to eat after my daughter's graduation, narrowed it down to a few and decided on this one simply because I got a spot in front. Had the Dumont burger which was cooked exactly how I asked, medium rare, also ordered fries with garlic and parmesan, one order was enough for three. Way big and very delicious. The Dumont Mac and cheese was another good sized portion and the cheese was perfect, not too mushy, not too hard. Couldn't eat in but when I picked up, I liked the feel of the place, definitely will be going back after covid19 dies.

Was looking for a place nearby to grab a bite for a going away dinner before the move to Texas. This spot came up and decided to go before the snow started since they had outdoor heating . The server was helpful in explaining the menu and helping us decided what to get. I got the dumont burger and it was pretty good I asked to have it cooked chef recommendation which was medium but it came back about medium well, but the meat was still tender and melt in your mouth good :. So would recommend ordering a temp lower. the fries were great and crisp. And the Mac and cheese was delicious and not too heavy. They do have about 4 tables a heaters above each but since the covering is open on the sides the heater doesn't do too much on a cold night. Dress up if planning on staying to eat in the cold!

If I lived in the neighborhood this would be my regular spot, however, I don't. But! This is a great burger at a reasonable price! Boyfriend and I came by early on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy and we were able to choose any section to sit. WARNING: all seats are bar stools, nary a seat back or regular height chair to be found in the place. So, keep that in mind if lack of back support is a dealbreaker. Or do as my boyfriend and stand the whole meal. You do you. (Also note there is a fireplace which is quite pleasant. Lots of people were seating their jackets there so they'd be nice and warm when it's time to go back outside.) (it was like 7 degrees out during our visit.) I ordered the classic burger (comes with dumont sauce, bacon/onion jam, and cheese. It does not include any sides. My boyf ordered the regular old DuMont Burger with cheese and with onion rings. We added ranch dressing for dippage. My boyfriend got his burger medium rare and I asked for mine the same but was told the classic only comes medium. Fine. My burger was cooked pretty perfectly to medium rare. My boyf's got extra time in the oven to melt a forgotten slice of cheese onto it and it still was just slightly less done then mine. If you are eked our by raw ground meat, err on the more well done side. The real show stoppers here were the onion rings and ranch dressing. The onion rings are fried in almost a tempura like batter. They were sweet and salty and delicious. The ranch dressing must be home made and it's exactly what you want excellent fresh ranch dressing to be! This place felt like a lot of bang for your buck in Williamsburg. Our two burgers and one soda was about $25. Not my normal experience in the neighborhood. Next time I'm hanging around wburg, I'll definitely come back.

I stopped by to get the Dumac and Cheese burger and it's no joke one of the best damn burgers I've ever had. Even the fries were perfect. Washed it down with an Allagash White. Only drawback is the size of the place- super small.

There was an issue so I'm redoing my review, after help from the lovely people at DuMont Burger. The burger was absolutely delicious and the fries were perfect. Best burger I've had in the area for sure. The staff was also tried very hard to make sure that I was satisfied and I am beyond pleased! Special thanks to Maggie!

I live around the block and have never eaten here in the 3 years that I've lived in Williamsburg - decided to try it this past weekend. Nothing special at all, not sure why people say it's one of the best burgers in Willyb..? I like my fries crispy, and these fries were the exact opposite. The garlic&parmesan addition was good (+$1.50), just if the fries were cooked longer. The burger itself was okay, I couldn't taste the bleu cheese I added to it ($1.50 for adding cheese, $2 for bacon or avocado). You get a choice of either a 5 or 8 oz. patty($12/$15), I asked for it medium and it came out well done. For the price I would have preferred any other burger; I probably would not come back unless a group of friends wanted to come here. Not a fan of the small space or seating either [not good for groups]...meh!

Something about the way a burger feels in your hand as it goes into your mouth. Large brioche bun housed this imposing patty with lean meat to fat ratio without giving up any flavor or juiciness. Sandwiched with the usual suspects (LTO) and pickles and choice of sauce, it was a normal but simply awesome burger. And it came with stellar onion rings- large fresh cut sweet Vidalia coated evenly and fried to a hard crunch. With a artisan beer or cola... if this is what it feels like to be an American, boy am I proud to represent. Stating the obvious- I'd come back in a heartbeat.

So I checked in on Yelp and got a $5 draft coupons. The hostess denied it; said it was for another location. (It wasn't). We placed our order. We noticed, after a long wait, that a couple beside us who sat after us was served first. (It was our order they ate). They then tried to serve the couple with their original order; which they turned away. The hostess apologized to them; but not to us. Burgers arrived an hour after check in, and they were good.

Smal cozy area! We ordered their fried pickles, buffalo wings and Dumac&cheese burger with 2 local beers. The portions were pretty generous. Apps were fine but the burger was incredible!! Price was also reasonable. Definitely will be back for the burger.

I'm a pickle lover so I didn't give my sandwich as much attention as my boyfriend did (the burgers are huge) but we both loved them and will he coming back! My bf's favorite burger place, my favorite soup place. Lol. Well I gotta say they have pretty good burger, but I'm more a soup person whenever there's soup options. Especially for a cold winter day, their creamy soup really warms u up and comfort my heart. Get there dumont burger! My bf is an expert and picky for pizza and burgers, this is the place he goes whenever he wants burger. It really won't let you down. We have been this place for bunch of times. I don't think it's warm enough for winter time,I do doubt if they have heater, it's warmer than cold outside but still u don't get cozy warm feeling. Another thing I don't like is the Asian waiter. Like I said, we have been in this place for bounce of times throughout the year, the Asian waiter is always there and I never seen his happy face. He's always grumpy with his service and always takes our plates away in a hurry even its empty in the restaurant. Makes me feel he just wants us pay and get out of the restaurant. But other waiters or waitresses I have been served there are all cool.
