Yelp
I've been searching for a quality butcher, and I found this place on Yelp based on the good reviews. I must've went to a different location, because this place does not deserve a 5 star rating in my opinion. I stopped by for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and the meat selection was slim to none. The guy behind the counter seemed less than thrilled to answer my questions, and when I asked roughly how many pounds of chicken thighs he had left...he looked at me and said "I don't know" then continued to stare at me.
So I ended up buying the last 3 pounds of chicken ($13) in the entire place. The quality of the chicken was fine, but no better quality then the chicken I buy at a major grocery chain. The seasoning was too light, with a few small slivers of onion as garnish. I had to add my own seasoning, to the already "pre-seasoned chicken" they sold me.
This place is mediocre at best, I personally would rather buy meat from a grocery store and receive proper customer service, then come here to pay higher prices and get treated like an inconvenience. I also don't like the fact that the guy was handling and cutting meat with his bare hands. This is 2018, what food service business still does this?
