"Open for: Dim sum and dinner Price range: $$$ Dynasty boasts twinkling chandeliers, views over the city from its first-floor perch on West Broadway, and, thanks to chef Sam Leung, some of the city’s best modern Chinese food. Open daily from 10 a.m. for dim sum, its standouts are the buttery barbecue pork cha siu bao with baked lemon, and the silky, wafer-thin dumplings stuffed with fresh shrimp, scallops, and black truffles. Dinner features a “24-hours notice” menu, with Cantonese delights such as mushroom-braised duck. Service skews more efficient than hospitable, but the food easily makes up for it. Know before you go: If you’re dining in a large group, check out the banquet menus, which offer a good value multicourse option." - Nikki Bayley

"Elegant and traditional, well-appointed Dynasty Seafood should be on everyone's radar. As evidenced by the fish tanks, you'll find some of the freshest seafood on offer here, but there's also an array of dim sum delights and off-menu specials (be sure to ask for them). The menu is packed with choices, but regulars are rewarded by calling ahead to learn of special dishes requiring advance notice. From the classic dim sum selection (steamed watercress dumplings with shrimp and pork; shrimp dumplings), to the congee and soups (crab meat and fish maw soup with its intoxicating aroma, for one), to the sauteed bitter melon with minced pork and olive, all of the dishes served here show the strength of this kitchen team." - Michelin Inspector

Google
Delighted to find an exceptional Chinese restaurant downtown! Highlights included the fried crab balls, whole roast duck served two ways (Peking style and minced meat in lettuce wraps), and deep-fried crab with garlic, XO sauce, and stir-fried rice. Every dish was fresh and non-greasy. The polite and attentive staff provided excellent guidance on selecting a variety of dishes for our banquet. Although parking was a bit tricky to navigate, it was free—a nice added perk!

Google
The Peking Style Roasted Duck exceeded my expectations along with a few other dishes we had. Overall a good Chinese restaurant. They also have free parking.

Google
Dim sums are pretty good. Our server Dennis is very nice and recommended us to try BBQ Pork Pie with Lemon. It’s very delicious and thanks.

Google
Fabulous dim sum here today. Special recommendations from today’s order include: - deep fried squid (mouth watering!) - chicken bun (nice and smooth ginger taste) - beef cilantro vermicelli (pleasant surprise! I know it days parsley but it’s actually cilantro) - shrimp dumpling (this is on par with what I have tried from Hong Kong) - BBQ pork pie with lemon (nice zesty flavor that complements the BBQ pork with crispy skin) Servers are attentive and friendly. Setting is not too loose, but not extremely cramps and is on the noisy side.

Google
Been to Dynasty Seafood Restaurant for dinner before, but this time we came here for dim sum lunch. Place was busy but we were able to get a table. Ordered a mix of dim sum dishes as well as some shared plates. Food was delicious, and service was fairly quick. Servers were friendly and very attentive. Enjoyed the visit here.

We have tried different dim sum spots three days in a row, and I could confidently say Dynasty is my favorite. The quality even surpasses most of the dim sum spots in Hong Kong, and are close to those served at five star hotels. The food portion here might not be as gigantic as other spots, but every dim sum is exquisite and carefully crafted with unique flavor layerings. The price point is steep (Richmond price) but you get what you pay for. The environment is comfy and spacious with a nice harbor view. They also offer 20% off if you leave before 11am. Incredible deal for a Michelin restaurant. The Shrimp & Beet Dumpling (紅菜頭海皇粿) was a dim sum I’ve never seen before. It was so unique and delicious. Also strongly recommend the Baked Char Siu Lemon Pie (檸檬叉燒酥) — I always get char siu pastries but sometimes find them too greasy. The lemon peels and sauces mixed with the char siu fillings gave a refreshing zesty flavor to balance out the oiliness. For dessert, you must get the Black Sesame Sago Pudding (酥皮芝麻焗西米布甸). The black sesame lava exceeded my expectation! Every scoop was sheer satisfaction. Vancouver really takes dim sum to a whole new level.

Google
We were arriving there when they open the door at 10am for brunch to avoid the peak time of waiting. The dim-sums were awesome, very tasty. Yum yum. They also offer 2 hours underground parking which helps a lot to omit the heck of finding parking around that busy area. If you're visiting Vancouver, definitely check out the restaurant.

Google
Overall, a decent chinese dim sum place. Their seafood fried rice was a hit, everyone liked it. Other dim sum dishes are good as well but nothing special

Edwin W.

Yelp
After many decades of life, this was the best dim sum I've ever had. overall, they use high end pantry and product to create clear, delicate flavors and mouth feel. Details: egg tart: they used some special butter that had a deep, clean, rich, flavor for the small, technically executed 4. No shortening like synthetic flavor. chili oil and soy: you can tell it was top shelf. the chili tasted aged or smoked sticky rice in lotus leaf: again, great base flavors, pork broth is pronounced, egg yolk is a nice contrast sesame balls had a great textured black sesame.

Yelp
I've heard this place is famous in Vancouver- I thought it was good dim sum but not great. They have nice views of the skyline and service is best described as organized chaos. The food was ok. Ha gao and shu Mai were standard. Their steak fish was special. They validate your parking in the garage below.

Nikki A.

Yelp
Rude Staff. They knew they were rude because they even asked us not to leave a tip. 11:40am we asked if we can order one more siomai. Waiter said no because we can only stay until 12 noon and they had people waiting for their tables outside. Basically telling us we need to leave. We paid walked out to see about 4 to 5 Vacant Tables and no one waiting to get in. Food was ok though but not good enough to tolerate rude staff.

Yelp
Good dim sum spot that offers 2 hours of validated parking. You order off a menu (not through carts) and everything was good. Love that they offer parking if you park in the garage right under them (from EasyPark) - the validation is through a touchscreen right behind the host.

Yelp
While visiting Vancouver last month, a friend and I had lunch at Dynasty on a Sunday at noon with reservations. We were seated on time and ordered the following: - shrimp dumplings - pork suimai - turnip cake - baked BBQ pork pie with lemon - black sesame sago pudding Everything was absolutely delicious! The shrimp dumplings had a delicate wrapper encasing meaty, plump shrimp. The pork suimai were flavorful and juicy. Turnip cake was pan fried nicely and had ample pieces of Chinese sausage and large chunks of turnip throughout. The baked BBQ pork pie with lemon were flakey with nice balance of savory and citrusy; the lemon balances the richness of the pork. And the black sesame sago pudding was the perfect blend of nutty and sweet with a butter pastry top. Living in San Francisco, California with a plethora of dim sum places and also eating plenty from my several Hong Kong visits, I'd say Dynasty is up to par for quality. The restaurant is spacious, bright, and clean. Great for large groups, and I highly recommend making reservations!

Yelp
Excellent food, fast and great service, validated parking is a no brainer to try this place out. Our first trip to Vancouver BC from San Francisco and we have some good dim sum in the Bay Area. As our 1st dim sum seafood restaurant, this hits the mark for us. The only item that San Francisco does better is the chicken feet, otherwise everything else we had here rivals or tops what we're use to. Shark fin soup was a big plus and reasonable, as it's illegal to serve real shark fin in California.

Allen Y.

Yelp
Great authentic Chinese restaurant in heart of Vancouver Pros - wide variety of food selection and very large portions for family sharing. Excellent and speedy service. The green onion and ginger crab was absolutely delicious. The roasted duck was also amazing. Cons - none! Great place for an authentic Chinese family dinner. There are great selections for everyone and plenty of food to take home afterwards.

Yelp
Ambience: 1/1 Service: 0.5/1 Food: 1/3 Dynasty provided a very comfortable, nice dining experience with a variety of options. However the food was definitely not up to par - every item that I got was either extremely bland or had an overwhelming instead of complementary conflicting flavour. They also charge you for tea and even to get hot water which they do not inform you beforehand. From reading other reviews I was already expecting the charge on the tea and accepted that. However my tea had been sitting too long and was oversaturated so I asked for hot water to dilute it, and I found out I was charged $1 for that at the end when I got my bill. Overall I would not recommend coming here. For the same price there is another Chinese restaurant a couple blocks away with a well-deserved Michelin Bib Gourmand award (Seaport City) that I had visited not too long ago that is a 5/5 (I posted a Yelp review for that restaurant as well). I was debating between the two since they were both close by and decided to try out Dynasty since I'd never been here before. Next time I would not make the same mistake and would definitely head to Seaport City instead.

Yelp
Our family must do for Sunday dimsum when they're visiting. Have frequented this legendary dimsum spot many many many times over the years and depending on how many people we go with, whether it requires a lazy Susie in the middle and how many dishes besides dimsum we order, their dimsum is spectacular. During my most recent visit in August, we ordered the seafood, mushroom, crab meat & shrimp, shrimp dumplings. The crab meat & shrimp dumpling was as so good and ordered it twice. Get the sautéed pea tips or gai lan, also their shrimp fried rice, delicious! Try to get a table by the window as they have a great view of downtown.

Christina N.

Yelp
Good quality and tasty dimsum. We had to wait a bit to get in even when we came close to closing around 2pm. Once we got in they took our order and food started coming out immediately after. Some interesting things: they don't have shrimp rice rolls or chrysanthemum tea. I would say it's on the pricer end of dimsum places but we thought everything was flavorful. Service wise, I feel like we had to repeatedly ask for soy sauce, chili oil, white pepper for our soup because they kept forgetting or they just didn't bring it. On another note, their chili oil isn't too spicy or what I'm used to but I really liked the flavor and umami of it. We asked for iced waters all around and they didn't bring them until we finished eating. Oh I did love that they included utensils to use specifically to share food separately from our personal ones.

Justin K.

Yelp
One of the best chinese restaurants in Vancouver for dinner. A lot of chinese restaurants have gone downhill, especially after covid. You would think since there are so many options, providing higher quality with the new pricing would be everyone's goal but it isn't. The ambiance here is very classy and it is always busy with great, friendly staff. My friend always orders the "good stuff" so I don't have to worry, I just come with an empty stomach. I'm a big fan of the tapioca pudding dessert and there's is hand downs, the best. There is street parking and underground parking so there's never an issue finding a spot. If you pay downstairs, just remember to keep your ticket as they will reimburse you. This place has become a staple for us when we want to do group gatherings. Call ahead to book a table and order if you want the special items. I highly recommend coming if you've never been!

Minly L.

Yelp
We came into Dynasty for a Wednesday morning Dimsum. The service was great and very accommodating to what we needed when we ordered more food. The food was tasty with a very clean and light taste.

Emily S.

Yelp
Our visit would have been much better if we didn't order the peking duck. It wasn't cut well as most pieces were just skin and they barely gave us any meat, so it was ridiculous to pay $80 CAD. Usually it's portioned with the skin and meat separately so you can make your own wraps accordingly. They also took away the cover of the steamer for the wraps so they became cold and dried out quickly. When I've ordered peking duck at other restaurants, they portion the duck table-side so you can begin enjoying. They then take the rest back to the kitchen to finish up and bring back the rest of your duck meat. At Dynasty, it seems you have to pay for your duck to be done multiple ways to see the rest of your duck meat. We also ordered the king crab which was delicious, but a hassle to eat. The pea shoots were also great, but overpriced. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we won't be back again.

Frank L.

Yelp
Food and service were good, but comparing to dimsum prices elsewhere, Dynasty is pricey. Had three dimsum dishes and one wok tossed flat noodle with beef costed nearly CA$90!

Selena Y.

Yelp
Great dim sum. We didn't realize this restaurant is Michelin guide rated, and it's worth the recognition - the dim sum is made-to-order and tastes both fresh and authentic. Service is also quick and efficient. We were only slightly disappointed that they didn't serve rice rolls here (I've never experienced a dim sum restaurant that doesn't serve it!). The dishes were also a bit pricier than expected, but they seem to be around average for Vancouver. The wait outside the restaurant was long by noon on a Saturday. Definitely make a reservation if possible.

Sabrina H.

Yelp
THIS is where everyone should go for dim sum. Everything is executed so well, this is probably one of the best dim sum establishments in Vancouver. All of the dishes I got were juicy, moist, flavorful. Their pan fried noodles are also delicious and imbued with wok hei. I also love how they are inventive and creative and do new twists on traditional dim sum. For example, I got the truffle dumplings, and while there wasn't as much truffle flavor, it was still delicious with a lot of mushroom flavor all in a delicate crystal skin. As with any dim sum place, everything comes out super quick as their goal is to churn out people. Be prepared to wait as there is probably always a line. I would definitely come back.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I walked in immediately without a reservation! I'm visiting Vancouver for a few days and all my coworkers recommended Dynasty Seafood Restaurant, apparently it's really popular on xiaohongsu which is like the Chinese version of Instagram. After reading Yelp reviews, I'm nervous that I did not make a reservation. On Saturday, I showed up at 9:55AM (they open at 10AM) and there was already a big crowd of diners outside (a great sign!) I was the 6th person in line and they sat my party of two immediately under the condition that we finish within an hour. Easy! The service was fantastic. I had a lot of bones on my plate from chicken feet and the ribs, so the servers changed out my plate like 4 times. Everyone was so attentive and efficient. For our table, my fiancé and I split a variety of items such as har gow (shrimp dumpling), char siu bao (bbq pork buns), lo mai gai (sticky rice in lotus leaf), fung jar (chicken feet), etc I thought everything was really technically good. Like the har gow had the most perfectly thin skin but it wasn't SO delicate that it would fall apart. And the flavors were great. I'm from Bay Area California and, in my opinion, most of our order was better than Bay Area dim sum. The lo mai gai was just okay for us - pretty average and I prefer more filling such as egg yolk.

Phil Y.

Yelp
Dynasty was the second restaurant that I tried to get brunch (takeout). The first one that I went to was not doing takeout. Dimsum was Vancouver priced with the basics costing about $10 CAD. Har gow and siu mai were okay. It came with 4 per order. Everything we ordered was okay. Service was good. The employee out front suggested that I move my car into their garage to avoid getting a parking ticket. I can't complain since they fed me on Christmas day, after the first place I went to rejected me.

Earth K.

Yelp
Really great foods. Nice friendly service. Our server give us a trick that we can have free park under need the restaurant. We definitely will be back!!!

Andrea P.

Yelp
We loved everything we tried at this upscale Dim Sum restaurant. The food was made to order, none of the carts you may be used to from traditional dim sum restaurants. The service was typical, efficient but not overly friendly. Beautiful view of downtown and white tablecloths made the experience feel premium. I would come back again and again for all the items listed below. Go early to beat the lunch crowds. Bean Curd Roll - 5/5 Sticky Rice - 5/5 Turnip Cake -5/5 sautéed Pea-tip - 5/5 shrimp Dumpling - 4/5 Taro Dumpling - 5/5 Baked Egg Tart - 4/5

Robert D.

Yelp
I took my friend to this reataurant to impress upon him what good dim sum food and service is in vancouver. For whatever reason, once we were seated, we had to ask the waiters for everything -- like soy sauce, bowl for the fried rice, tissue, etc.. It seems the servers are either disorganized or short handed. At the end of the meal, the food was sub par and that is to be kind. After paying, the manager asked us to leave as there were other people waiting. Looking at my watch, We were not even there for more than 1.5 hours. Seriously?? They charged us 50 cents for every take out counter and also another 50 cents for a paper bag - which they never asked if we needed! And another $7.50 for tea and hot water for 3 people. This is a restaurant that is rude to their customers. Do they deserve to be on the Michelin Guide -- definitely NOT!!! Give your money to other chinese restaurants like Double Double who serve straighforward good food and fast service! Having the Michelin label does not mean anything good!! At the end of the meal, I had to apologize to my friend for a shameful meal!

Emili A.

Yelp
Very pricey dim sum but this is some of the better dim sum than I get at home! It's really at nose to be able to share with a large group as their menu has so many items. We got reservations for Saturday night and had a few dim sum items with noodles and the price came out to $30 a person... again, a little pricey for a light meal but still satisfying! There is parking underground but we opted for street parking. Service was good as they accommodated a last minute reservation time change.

Christy P.

Yelp
I came here for dinner and the service blew me away. The two types of plates, the replacing it when one is dirty without you saying anything, the chopstick holder, the complimentary desserts. Chefs kiss. Also the food was just straight up delicious. Got the crispy noodle, sweet and sour pork and two crab sticks. Would recommend all, you should probably get 5 crab sticks.

Davie L.

Yelp
Food is awesome, I like the crispy crab pastry and Cha shu pastry, also had half roasted which is great with plum sauce

Linh N.

Yelp
Really impressed by the taste of the food here. I have to say.. this place has better dim sum than the places in NYC! Must order: - deep fried squid tentacles (so crispy yet so tender on the inside and perfectly seasoned) - egg tarts (I can eat 2 plates by myself, perfect if you don't like it too sweet) - pan fried eggplant stuffed with fish paste (just a great combo and the eggplant was cooked to perfection) The service was pretty good. They start charging if you ask for more sauce though. Also there's a charge for water as well. We loved the view! Amazing view of the city skyline with the mountains as a backdrop! Would come back here next time I'm in Vancouver

Michael T.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. The food was very good and lots of fresh choices if you like. The service was good and fast. Our food came out promptly. They do validate parking. Wish we knew before we paid :)

Omar S.

Yelp
Several people stated, "if you are in Vancouver, you have got to go to Dynasty Seafood: the best Chinese food outside of mainland China." Well, it lives up to it's reputation. Though I have never been to mainland China, it was the best fried rice and dim sum that I have ever had. The quality, complexity, and depth of the food is indescribable. As such, when you are in Vancouver I suggest that you attempt to capture words that fully describes Dynasty. The wait is usually long. Luckily when I called ahead they were able to give me a reservation time 1 hour and 30 minutes out. Even when I arrived, I had to wait 20 minutes. The restaurant demand is that high. It was worth the trip and additional wait.

Clarence E.

Yelp
There's so many places to choose from ... so how did we pick Dynasty? Well, we were looking for good Peking Duck. So first, there's street meter parking, I found right outside stairs I saw but don't. The entrance is through the garage down the alley and parking is comped, so there goes my urban mindset. We walked up through the garage and left the same around closing by waiting for a car to trigger the gate. Now to the food and service. Fine dining! Service is much finer than the typical Chinese restaurant, so there's a plus! Chopstick rests, place settings à la more elegant, so you feel like lingering over a meal than eat and run! Very nice for a change with pricing that matches. So Peking Duck was on the hit list. We wanted straight 1 way but duck in lettuce wrap sounded like a wonderful 2 way option. Duck comes whole presented tableside and sliced on a tabletop behind us. Skins were crisp and not fatty, so likely a better quality. Breast meat could be more seasoned and flavorful but was good. At 75 one way, I would've liked meat on the pieces only skinned. Garnish with scallions cucumber and a thinner lighter hoisin sauce. My favorite was the Steamed fish fillet wrapped in Konnayaku in garlic. Melts in mouth with a noodle like texture and garlic. Veggies were on point and I could've had the whole plate. Rounding out was a crispy noodle with Buddha's delight. Crispy noodles yes! Flavor and sauce was a bit lighter so I focused on the fish. Nice sesame crisp. Yes! and almond cookie both warm to finish. Wonderful meal and not rushed. We closed the place since we arrived later about 90 min before closing. We would've been run out of a typical place. Cheers!

Ppie S.

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance, fast service. Enjoyed everything that we tried so far. Must try!

Yelp
We had a family dinner here tonight and were very pleased with the service, tasty food and the best part, a surprise dessert! Dynasty is a well known Chinese restaurant in the city with higher prices but dishes that stand out for their quality and taste. We ordered: Fried Shrimp Ball and Crab: these small appies were a good way to start us off. I didnt try them but my family enjoyed it! Peking Duck (2 ways): Duck skin with wraps as well as lettuce wraps with duck meat. Both were very tasty and carved table side so you could see that they were giving you a whole duck. The crepe was thin and elastic with a nice chew while the duck was not too fatty overall. I really liked the lettuce wrap as the chunks of duck were nice and large and the portion was quite large! Scrambled Eggs with Prawns and Truffle: meaty shrimp with scrambled eggs and a very noticeable truffle essence. My brother LOVES this dish and their eggs are very silky and creamy. Pork Chops with Plum Sauce: sauce is not overly sweet and the pork chops were of good quality, not being too fatty but remaining tender and tasty. House Special Fried Rice: advertised as having egg yolk and seafood, I didnt find anything too special about the fried rice but our family enjoyed it! Mustard Greens, pumpkin and cuttlefish ball soup: a warm and hearty dish of pumpkin based soup that was a great palate cleanser with the bitterness of the mustard greens and a nice chewy fishball! Came with a huge portion of vermicelli that soaked up all the soup so drink it quickly! Taro, pumpkin and sago sweet soup: what a lovely surprise for our complementary sweet soup! Delicious and a perfect way to end the meal! Overall, the food here is quite good not being too oily or salty. Their prices are a bit higher but not extravagantly so compared to similar restaurants. In addition, the service was stellar, with our server being friendly and attentive. All of the staff there were kind and I felt very welcome in the restaurant. A note though, the menu prices were lower than what was on our receipt so be aware if you are going soon!

Maggie M.

Yelp
We're from San Francisco Bay Area and really enjoy dim sum. We were excited to visit Vancouver and experience great dim sum. The food was good but not great, and certainly not better than our favorite places in San Francisco. Location was easy ride from downtown Vancouver. The actual restaurant had nice appeal aesthetically, but service was pretty bad. While not busy server was always in a hurry to walk away even while I was requesting items like water and soy sauce. I realize that's typical of good Chinese restaurants so no great surprise there. Had the food been spectacular I'd return and put up with bad service, but it was just okay. So, I'm looking forward to trying other places.

Gary W.

Yelp
From the perspective of a San Francisco native, dim sum was nothing to write home about. Spareribs: 5/10 good slippery texture, overwhelming pumpkin flavor Egg yolk buns: 5/10 flavorless bun, mild interior Siu mai: 8/10 pretty good! bouncy shrimp Har gow: 7/10 standard Lotus leaf rice: 8/10 good flavor Service: not bad. attentive. timely refills.

Melanie E.

Yelp
It was a first coming early at 10 am for dim sum. That's what time they open. There was a lineup. I suggest you make reservations. It's rare you can get free parking anywhere in this area. This place offers 2 hrs free parking behind the restaurant. Just make sure you register your car's plates at the booth just at the front entrance. (See photo of the booth) If you're wanting a big selection of dim sum, you won't find it here. We even tried asking for off the menu items but no go. They have 2 pages (see photos). They offer congee & noodle dishes. Overall the food is priced reasonably & tastes decent. My favourites were the bean curd roll and deep fried salty dumplings. With the limited dim sum selections, you may need to double up on your favourites. Service was prompt & friendly. After we made reservations, they tell you it's 1.5 hours to eat. They'll even give you a last call to order. They didn't hesitate to give us the boot to leave. Nice ambience.

Wendy L.

Yelp
This is our go-to spot for dim sum when we are in Vancouver...but we always go with a reservation. On a weekend day, we had a reservation at 10:30am, and a couple tried to walk in without a reservation and it would have been an hour-long wait. The restaurant isn't particularly big so it can get crowded quickly. They have all of the standard dim sum fare (taro cake, steamed pork buns, egg custard tarts, har gow, siu mai, etc) which is all very good, but they also have a few specialty items that are really delicious. Sesame balls at most dim sum places are filled with red bean but at Dynasty, they are filled with black sesame which is SO GOOD. I will have dreams about those black sesame balls. They also have the baked pork buns with the sugar topping (which not all dim sum places have).

Brian L.

Yelp
came back because a friend really likes this place. Food was fine, nothing mind blowing, nothing bad. We ordered several things: ling cod with veg - no complaints oyster casserole - ok, did not like the large ginger chunks but dish was otherwise well-cooked beef stir fry with basil - good abalone sauce vermicelli noodles - ok. slightly mushy, abalone flavour virtually absent jellyfish appetizer - standard, nothing spectacular noticeable difference this time was that they were very busy. And the service shows, not just in the dining room, but also in the food. All the food this day was prepared sloppily. Presentation was sloppy, things not neatly arranged, inconsistent knife work on the proteins, just small details you expect in a high end place. They also charged us for an item we did not order (this problem was addressed). so like my last review, the food is fine. i wouldnt say its the best, but its fine. But the entire dining experience including the food, is worth half the prices they charge. They have a lot to learn in terms of providing fine dining level of service, and yet they have no problems charging fine dining level prices while serving dishes for $45 looking like something worth $20 at a mom-and-pop casual canto eatery.

Lee I.

Yelp
The food is fairly typical but what unfortunately stands out most is Dynasty Seafood Restaurant's rude and unprofessional service. This negatively impacted the ambiance as the wait staff was insistent on rushing our large party for a supposed lunch rush that didn't happen. Prior to the staff insisting that we leave before noon, there were 6-7 open tables should there have been anyone waiting for a table. There were no groups, much less one person, waiting to be seated even an hour past 12pm. We hope management takes the time to review and retrain their staff to treat their customers with more respect and better service.

Edward W.

Yelp
Two months ago, we made a reservation for lunch at this restaurant. We ordered the peking duck in advance. Besides the peking duck, we also got the sauteed pea pod stems, shrimp dumplings, typhoon style stir-fried BC crab and braised abalone. For the peking duck, we had it cooked two ways: sliced peking duck with pancakes, and minced duck meat with lettuce wraps. The sliced peking duck was pretty good but I wished it had a little more meat than just plain skin. I liked the minced duck meat lettuce wraps more. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. The 4 head braised Australian abalone also came with sauteed pea pod stems. It was also spot on and delicious. I didn't try the BC crab but my mom and sister said it was good but not spectacular. Waitstaff was nice and friendly. There is an underground garage and you get 2 hours of free parking once you enter your license plate at the restaurant's terminal.

Yelp
Came here with a reservation on a Monday morning and was seated briskly. It wasn't too busy at the time although things started picking up past noon. The dim sum was very tasty although it was nothing I wasn't used to from SoCal. The real standouts in my opinion were the green tea pudding which was very delicious, and the green tea itself! The tea felt incredibly smooth and flavorful and I was very impressed. The price itself was also very affordable. I would definitely come back if I ever get the chance.

Yelp
Pretty good dim sum with friendly service. Ordering is by menu, not carts moving around.

Yelp
Even though we arrived shortly after the opening of lunch, it was quickly busy busy so reservations is recommended. Service was prompt & poised as the previous experiences were. *Recommended ~ beef knuckles!

Yelp
Came here for dinner and glad we did! Ordered the crab, noodles, shrimp and pea shoots? Everything was delicious, portions were big, good service and plenty of leftovers. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Came here for dim sum. They must do a good job in advertising because I realized I had been here the last time I was in Vancouver. I guess if I come back I'll probably come here again if we are in the mood for dim sum. As before it was packed so lucky we came in early and there was a table for five. The selections were typical Cantonese dim sum. The taste was ok as was the prices. Service was quick and water was always refilled as well as tea (and we were given a choice of teas). Atmosphere was also ok, just a little too closely packed (as are most dim sum restaurants). All in all typical experience

Yelp
I like their dim sum especially the lemon puff And the business lunch menu is good to try out as the dishes are always maintain in above average I am sure they do have a good team of good chef. The service is good but lack of staffs! It's common phenomenon in a lot of Asian restaurants. There is always a lot of fun especially in Chinese restaurant in terms of ambiance as a lot of Asian customers do like drinking liquor during dinner with their relatives or friends!

Yelp
Not only is it one of the recommended restaurants by Michelin Guide Vancouver, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is also the winner of Vancouver's Chinese Restaurant Awards in the Best Dim Sum and Best Cantonese categories in 2022. With such a profile, I had very high expectations, and Dynasty totally delivered! We went there for dinner. Every single dish we ordered was delicious! Fresh ingredients, properly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each plate was thoughtfully put together and not just thrown together. Wait staff was attentive, pleasant and courteous. It was such an enjoyable experience that we went back the next day to try their dim sum. Again, the whole Dim Sum experience was amazing. If you are in the Vancouver area and looking for good Cantonese food, Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is definitely not to be missed!

Yelp
So was craving Chinese food and Dynasty came up. Friends and I decided to go and see how the food is. The food in my opinion was okay but not worth the price. We had ordered the lobster sautéed in the salted egg yolk, the crab with sticky rice, the braised duck and veggies (which didn't make it into the pics). So the lobster dish, I think seems to be missing a few pieces for a huge lobster they brought out for us to see what was yielded after cooking looked like someone took some pieces. I think the dish could have used more salted egg bc it seems like it needed more for the flavor. The crab with sticky rice was okay. But I didn't really like the braised duck, for all the hype it did not meet my expectations. Not to mention the bill was hefty, it was at least a third more than what I expected it to be for 4 dishes. How is it that they charge 30 (Canadian) for veggies?

Yelp
Parking: There's street parking and there's free restaurants parking located below the restaurant. You can only park in unmarked spaces or u will be towed. Take your parleying ticket to get validated in the restaurant for 2 free hours. Ambience: Loud, upbeat great for gatherings. Service: The service was friendly but I could tell they were a bit unorganized when it got real busy bringing out portions of our food late and minor misses. Food: everything we ordered tasted amazing Supports Military: No Discount Overall: Great food, fiendly service, and love the parking validation. I would return during slow hours to have better attention.

Yelp
Unlike other dim sum, their waiters are very friendly. Their food is quality. Unfortunately they don't have beef or bbq pho. However, my family is still enjoying the meal there. Btw, they have underground parking lot. So, don't pay the fee just go upstairs and type in your license plate at the tablets front of the restaurant.
