This is a small farmers market, but it is always reliable. You have various types of vendors, fruit and vegetable, honey, baked items, hand crafted sewing/knitting, coffee, music, lunch items, dog items, etc. There are steady vendors and there are some that rotate throughout the season. This market is year round and Saturdays 10am-1pm, rain or shine. The market moves back to 11am from Dec through April. There is parking right at the market but you can walk too. It's under the highway, in between twin bridges. This market has a producer only rule, which means they can only sell what they grow themselves.

On our seventh date, my sweetheart and I set off in search of Ursa Bakery in East Falls Farmers Market. This was my second time observing my sweetheart in action at a bakery. He is lavish in his pursuit of bread and pastries, justifying it by calling it "supporting the arts." I can get on board with that. Everything we tried from Ursa's was delicious. He tore into the fresh bread immediately, and offered some to a hungry-looking whiskey vendor. I selected some radishes and Jersey tomatoes from the produce stand. Although it was the end of the season, the tomatoes were still delightfully sweet, and paired well with the bread and cheese.

McCann farms have a great selection and top quality. Their prices are reasonable. Everwild Farms has some great stuff, it is always good. And there are lots of others. Come check it out.

An excellent small farmer's market. Easy to get to by public transit or just walking. Two of my faves, Angie's and Rowhouse distillery, are there.

Great little place in the city by Kelly Drive to go grocery shopping. Parking is a bit small but manageable. Favorite spot is Sazon2Go

Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. There are also a lot of crafts that serve as good gifts. Bought a homemade peach-scented soy candle that smelled amazing!

Yelp
Checked out the East Falls Farmers Market for the first time yesterday. I was a little surprised to see there were about 10 vendors set up in a small parking lot. It seems you are allowed to park in the same parking lot as well. I did not bother paying for parking, as I didn't think the PPA will be coming around here and I was not expecting to stay long. It took me 15 minutes to check out all the vendors and I even left with a few things. There were two stalls selling a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. I bought 6 peaches for $5 and I've eaten two of them already. Rowhouse Spirits was also there! I decided to taste the gin and the Akvavit (distilled with anchovies and citrus), which I thought I would like. It was an acquired taste, but I am willing to give it another try next time. The gin was a top quality gin. Best gin I've ever had and went down so smoothly, I had to get a bottle. East Falls Farmers Market's Facebook page is also active and contains lots of useful details in regards to their vendors. Even though it is a very small Farmers Market, I would definitely come back again. https://www.facebook.com/eastfallsfarmersmarket/
