Great coffee shop. I tried the pour over and had a coffee from Ethiopia. The bagel I had with cream cheese was also really good. I enjoyed the inside space and really appreciated the two hours of free parking. This is a great spot to come work or have a meeting for one to two hours on weekdays. On weekends I think it’s limited to one hour.

There's so many things about this place that I want to love. I think as a study cafe, it works if you get here early enough when it's not packed or peak hours. This East Pole location doesn't have too much seating. There's a few tables in the back, coffee counter seating, and high table chairs. There was a couple of outlets upside down by the high chairs at the windows. I came on a warm, sunny day so it was nice to sit at the pink metal tables outside. The cortado had a beautiful presentation and just enough of a caffeine hit. The guy at the counter was super nice when I asked him for recommendations and very conversational. Even when it was busy, I felt welcomed and was intrigued by his questions.

East Pole is a delightful coffee shop. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. The parking is validated for one hour on the weekend and two hours during the week. I got a whole milk Latte and hubby got a cortado. Both were very tasty. The bathrooms were clean.

I had a wonderful experience at this space, thanks to Hannah's warm welcome. Hannah was exceptionally kind and patient with everyone she interacted with. Christa also made our visit enjoyable, graciously preparing our coffee with a smile. The environment was calming and relaxing, perfectly complementing the staff's friendly demeanor, and ample seating was available. We indulged in a cheese scone, which I would rate a perfect 100 out of 100, and while the vanilla latte wasn't quite to our taste, it might suit others. My sister and I, as two children of God on vacation, had an unforgettable time. Thank you to the lovely ladies for making our visit special!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Perfect Spot to Savor Coffee & Relax East Pole Coffee in Poncey-Highland is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere from the entire staff. The space strikes the perfect balance between cozy and functional — plenty of tables, chairs, and even a small bar area where you can set up your laptop, chat with friends, or just unwind with your thoughts. The coffee menu is excellent, offering a nice assortment of drinks with flavorful house-made syrups that elevate every sip. I tried one of their specialty drinks, and it was clear they take pride in both quality and flavor. On top of the great coffee, their pastry case is full of tempting treats. I couldn’t resist ordering a homemade chicken empanada — absolutely delicious with rich, savory flavor and a perfect crust. For those who love to enjoy coffee al fresco, there are a few outdoor tables that make for a lovely spot to soak in the neighborhood vibe. The whole experience felt calm, unhurried, and genuinely enjoyable. I’d never visited before, but my doctor actually recommended it as a great place for coffee, a pastry, and some decompression time — and they were absolutely right. I left feeling recharged and happy, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Visiting Atlanta, and staying close to Emory University, I asked Gemini for coffee shops on the way to my downtown destination. Highly rated, East Pole arrived at the top of the list. It was easy to get to on my 8:00 a.m. Monday drive. Parking was convenient, and when I walked in, I was greeted by such a wonderful, smiling staff. While I got my coffee to go, I noticed that if there was ambient music, it was definitely non-intrusive. I have a hearing impairment, and many coffee shops and restaurants are difficult and harsh for me. I would have been totally comfortable enjoying my coffee peacefully inside. Now, the coffee. I ordered a hot, light roast, and it was wonderful! Just what I was looking for in a quality, enjoyable cup in the morning! I should be here at least another two or three days, and East Pole will be my morning destination to start my day! Thanks to the awesome staff! (I’ll get your names tomorrow ;)

Google
Easy to find with ample parking and friendly baristas. The Tahini Rose Latte has a nice herbal taste. I got the Chicken and Pepper Empanada and the Barista suggested the Spicy Potato one. Both were very good with a slightly crispy outside with a warm flavorful inside.

Yelp
The baristas at this location are SO much nicer than the other location! Parking fills up fast, but if you can find a spot, it's very nice to visit east pole and have some coffee! It's not a great working spot since the music is a little loud, but I do see quite a few people studying. The coffee is very tasty but they don't have any matcha.

Yelp
It had been quite a while since I had visited East Pole. This particular morning, I stopped in on the way to an appointment. Though they were quite busy with people sitting at tables inside and out, there was only one person ordering. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks. I actually had to take a picture of the seasonal menu because when I picked up my order, I actually forgot what was in the cappuccino. It was a sesame rose cappuccino. It was actually quite good. And the two people that were working behind the counter were very nice. I always like to know what's in their hopper so I of course asked. And of course, I have already forgotten. But I will definitely make a point to stop by more often.

Yelp
joycelyn was very very very rude. Ive been here many times I am aware what time you close! I ordered at 5:55 togo you told me you close at 6. Ok got it my food was ready at 5:59 at 6:01 im texting she says loudly you know we close now. Like im a idiot. So rude & a group of people still talking in there not moving & she only said it to me. Seriously 6:01 If you dont like your job find another one!!!!! Disgusting behavior. No one want to support a business with employees like these. Very unwelcoming energy. Then I asked for her name, she said it & then immediately said with an attitude " why"? If that's not a perfect example of what NOT to do on a job...she's perfect for it!

Yelp
This was my first time at East Pole, and I had a lovely experience! The baristas were so sweet and helpful! I ordered the Peach Iced Tea which was refreshing for a hot summer day. The only thing to be wary of is that there aren't many tables to sit at inside.

Yelp
Great. The best. Good seating for working and reading. Staff are delightful. Music is top notch.

Yelp
I came into East Pole to do some work prior to an appointment nearby and was so happy with my experience. I was warmly greeted by the staff upon entering and tried out their current seasonal coffee, a cookie butter cappuccino. It was not overly sweet and very smooth. While I was sipping on my coffee, one of the employees was occasionally walking around and dropping off glasses of water to people- such a wonderful touch. I will definitely visit East Pole when I am in the area again!

Yelp
Overpriced but really nice and clean place . When will this wine bar ever open That would make me visit them more often . Anyway I would still prefer Java vino on north highland over east pole . Java vino has their own beans with their farmer direct coffee shop and more no nonsense just relax atmosphere

Melanie S.

Yelp
The Chai tea was delicious. Thank you for real utensils, glasses and super cute plates. The music was relaxing but upbeat enough that you won't fall asleep. If you're working the other customers appear to be volume conscious and not overly loud. The customer service was amazing!!!! I think I had a mini- soothing experience--or was it an extremely kind exchange that made for a good start of the day. I also had the sweet potato empanadas. Yum!! Double Yum!!! Guess I should have taken a photo but it was too yummy to stop for a pic after the first bite. If you want a special coffee/tea experience that doesn't feel overwhelming distance to humanity, try East Pole Coffee!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee shop to come and work at-- ample seating with a decent number of plugs. Coffee here is great (I usually get the cortado), but I would also recommend their tea selection. I like the white herbal tea-- it comes as a loose leaf tea and you have the option to resteep the leaves if you want another cup as well. Service is wonderful, and the vibes here are great! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Super cute place. Staff was very nice as well. Coffee was very good just got a cafe latte with oat milk it was just flavorful that way no sugar needed!

Yelp
A nice spot for coffee in the neighborhood. The interior is calming and well-decorated and their concise menu features all the favorites. We enjoyed an iced cold brew and a delicious cortado, enjoyed alongside selections from their bakery case. I had the spicy potato empanada, while she had a stunning donut sourced from Five Daughters that made our day. While service was a little slow, the quality more than made up for it. A new neighborhood favorite.

Yelp
My go to place for coffee in Atlanta. East Pole has the most consistent Oat Milk Latte I've gotten at any coffee shop in Atlanta. No matter who is making it, no matter what day or what time, I can expect it to taste exactly the same. Which is extremely rare. Beyond the taste, what I love is that I never have to mix the drink. Syrups tend to sit at the bottom of drinks in a lot of places, but not here. Every sip is perfectly blended. Service is always great. You can depend on a friendly face to great you as soon as you walk in. I'm always greeted with "How or you/How's your day going" vs "what can I get you". I've been to the other locations but this one is hands down my favorite. There's a good amount of space for working. Music provides enough ambiance to be present but not distracting. Only thing to note is that sometimes the AC works a little too well, so keep a jacket with you. Plenty of parking in the lot nearby. Definitely check it out if you've never been.

Yelp
I have enjoyed East Pole coffee at home many times so, I had to make a stop while we were in Atlanta. The shop had a killer vibe and the staff was amazing. I am a coffee nerd and appreciated the barista talking to me about what was on bar and even offered me to smell and see the beans for each of the pour over options. I went with the La Reserva (Colombian) and it did not disappoint. The robo-pour over machine was cool too. It makes sense to have a few for the volume of coffee they were cranking out. It extracted really well and I was happy with the cup it brewed. Overall this is a wonderful coffee shop that is perfect for a quick hang, date or to work from. Wish we had one in Orlando :)

Yelp
I don't know how and why this coffee shop has only 4 stars. Easily my top 5 coffee shops in Atlanta. I swear their drinks are the most consistent and if you want a simple oat milk latte; they should be your go-to! If you're in the mood for a syrup, theirs are homemade and taste like it! They never add too much either; I'm not a super sweet latte drinker and they make theirs just right. As far as space goes, it's difficult to catch a table if you're looking to work like I usually am but if you can, it's a really nice atmosphere. The baristas are incredible with their latte art and service and they serve 5 Daughters Donuts here, an extra plus! (Bonus: try their potato puff pastry, SO GOOD!)

Yelp
I had a meeting with a client on a Sunday in Atlanta. I suggested East Pole, and he suggested the Poncey-Highland location. I had not been to this East Pole yet, so I was excited to check it out. The location had lots of parking available on a busy weekend. I loved the interior of the coffee shop. The manager was super helpful when I ordered my coffee. My friend bought a donut. I only wish they would have had gluten-free options on the menu. My coffee was amazing. The manager even brought water to our table. I highly recommend East Pole to anyone who loves a great coffee shop experience. Five Paws!

Yelp
A great coffe shop to do work! There is lots of seating but it does fill up and there are outlets along the wall if you need them. The menu was very simple nothing fancy but great if you're looking for a classic drink. The staff is super friendly and quick to make your order. The music also wasn't too loud which I appreciated.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute coffee shop on North Highlands. They have an ample parking lot behind the shop but they share it with other establishments. Came here on Saturday morning and every seat was taken with people doing work on their laptops or just chatting with friends and family. There was quite a wait once I placed my order - maybe waited for 15 minutes before I got my oatmilk latte. The employee apologized for the wait and I didn't mind because the latte was delicious. I did see dogs in the shop (my guess is you can bring them in to order but would probably have to sit outside if you want to enjoy your coffee there). They have some outdoor seating as well.

Yelp
yummm!! love a good local coffee shop. ambiance is great, plenty of seating including some small tables outside. park for free in the deck across the street. super nice staff who will bring your stuff outside so you don't have to wait on it. great coffee, great pastries. just a little pricey but that seems to be the norm these days. will be back!
google avatar

Cynthia G.

Yelp
Very beautiful space - great for working and studying if you can get a spot. The coffee is slightly pricey but very delicious so totally worth it. Also there is a parking lot right behind which is very convenient.
google avatar

Sahaana S.

Yelp
Cute place with a decent number of seats to comfortably sit and work for a few hours. Asked for an affogato which isn't on their menu but turns out is their specialty drink atm - delicious, has coconut flakes in it to complement a coconut milk ice cream scoop.

Yelp
I gave never been to either east poles until now. Fantastic strong, not watered down lattes. I ordered the vanilla one with oat milk. I will say in regards to the other review, the couple of employees were chatty while the barista was making drinks but I still received mine quickly so I don't really care. I have seen at other establishments chatty employees who cannot keep up with a normal place and that is frustrating, even if they're being chatty with customers. I prefer great food/drinks with polite fast service thats accurate to overly friendly extremely slow service. I see no problem here. Also, I am fond of their blue decor and wooden furniture on top of the good coffee and service!

Yelp
Love the coffee here!! The baristas are so friendly especially the one with the mustache
google avatar

Simon F.

Yelp
Coffee is great but the wait is crazy on the weekends. Ordered 2 cappuccinos to go and waited 30 minutes!! They need to improve capacity. Bakery selection very small
google avatar

Tommy C.

Yelp
this is my review of the whole bean coffee they sale. i purchased Leonel Chavez and Edwin Zambrano. The coffee package does not say what favors are in the beans. Got home and made an espresso and a French press coffee with each bean. Both were overpowering with a chocolate favor. Did not even taste like coffee in my opinion. Wife hated it. $45 dollars wasted. This is not to say the quality of the coffee is bad. This is just a warning if you don't like your coffee to taste like chocolate, avoid these two

Lauren D.

Yelp
While the coffee was good, I found their food to be overpriced and unfortunately a major lack of seating indoors.

Jane D.

Yelp
The coffee was good, but the shop does not have enough outlets for laptops. They also should tint the windows or put up some shades.
google avatar

Dennis G.

Yelp
Great place for coffee. They use in-house syrup and the shop is surrounded by vintage thrift stores and shops.

Ubu R.

Yelp
The quality of the coffee is excellent here! Maybe the best in the city. A regular spot for me.

Kat M.

Yelp
I was so excited to try East Pole in Poncey Highlands. After reading all the review I had high expectations and was looking forward to a great drink. I went for the first time and ordered a cappuccino to go. Unfortunately, my drink was not satisfactory. The bean flavor was amazing but the way the barista poured my drink was disappointing. I didn't even drink a third of it before tossing it. When I walked out I knew the cup felt heavier than a cappuccino should feel. I took my first sip after driving off and it tasted like flavored milk it was so milk dense and heavy.

Natalie R.

Yelp
Incredible ambiance, decent parking and wonderful baristas who help you decide what latte you're craving. It also has good workspace if you want to make a day of it.

Quinten G.

Yelp
A sterile, not a lot of seating, no cover outside. Coffee was good but nothing to write home about. Service was nice and quick.
google avatar

Hector M.

Yelp
East Pole is a must in ATL and the Poney-Highland location didn't disappoint! Cool vibe and friendly/knowledgeable baristas. My coffee was great!

Susa K.

Yelp
There is no specialty for any coffee and combination, so an employee told me that after waiting 15 minutes, I got a small coffee, and I was the only second person in the line. The service is very poor, and they look like they don't care too much. It won't be a fourth-time trip for me.
google avatar

Adam P.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and the iced latte is perfect.

JP T.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Service is great, coffee is even better. Nice, relaxing spot to spend time with friends or get some work done. Don't let the Karen throwing a fit in the reviews put you off from stopping by this coffee shop
google avatar

Yelp
Very pissed about the way my partner was treated on his first time coming here. We ordered coffee to stay and sat at the bar. The staff member had asked if we wanted it to go or not and mentioned we were staying. It took quite a while to get out plain coffee. She must have forgot because she took it to him at the bar in a to-go cup. I had told him about the free refills so when he went up to get one the staff member lectured him about that they only refill the in house mugs and that if he wanted a refill he should have told them he wanted his coffee in. She talked down to him like he was freeloading off the street and he was holding up the line or something. I looked over not knowing what's going on to see him very embarrassed, so he just went along and paid for a new cup to go this time and left. When he explained what happened I was so pissed. I like the coffee here but there's many closer shops to our home. I'm not gonna return here.

Dana R.

Yelp
I have been going to the original location for three years, was super exited to see they've expanded! By far my favorite coffee spot in Atlanta.

Karen P.

Yelp
I have been to both locations in ATL and have had the exact same experience. The service is very poor. The people working behind the counter are more worried about discussing their social lives with each other than taking care of customers. It is too bad because the coffee is decent. There is an air of arrogance and complete disregard for customer service.
