Eaton Street Seafood Market is a laid-back gem in Key West where you can savor fresh lobster rolls and a variety of seafood sandwiches, all enjoyed al fresco.
"Founded in 2007, the quick and casual art deco-style Eaton Street Seafood Market is the place to go for lobster rolls, crab cake sandwiches, shrimp salad sandwiches, and grilled lobster tail — all served with plantain chips. There is a Land Lovers menu (chicken tenders and hot dogs, mainly) for the kids or those with seafood allergies, but when in the Keys, a deep dive into any of the fresh-caught offerings is definitely the right choice. The daily catch is always on the menu, until it sells out of course, and could be anything from tarpon and grouper to snapper and wahoo, which is a year-round favorite." - Allison Ramirez
"If you told us we had exactly one hour to eat as much of the best local seafood in Key West, we’d just go to Eaton Street and order the entire menu. This little seafood market has an impressive selection of local options: hogfish, shrimp, fish dip, lobster, stone crab, conch, grouper, and what feels like a thousand other choices. You can take any of it home to cook yourself, but (no offense) they’ll do a much better job. They turn all that fresh stuff into one of the best lobster rolls in town, fried or grilled fish sandwiches, beautiful little fried shrimp, grilled lobster tails, and more. You can eat it all on their shaded patio with a beer, and since the restaurant isn’t in a particularly crowded area, it’s a great option for a somewhat quiet lunch or dinner. " - ryan pfeffer
"Part seafood market, part restaurant, this spot offers an array of local seafood inside a refurbished gas station. Options include hogfish, lobster, shrimp, stone crab, conch, grouper, and more. You can take it home to cook yourself or let them do it for you. Lobster rolls, fried fish sandwiches, and peel-and-eat shrimp are all winners, especially when paired with a cold beer on their shaded patio, which was once the site of the gas pumps." - Amber Love Bond
"A casual seafood-filled lunch spot situated in a refurbished gas station, offering local fresh catch in sandwiches, salads, tacos, and fried or grilled appetizers." - Amber Love Bond
"Primarily a seafood market for the locals, this spot also serves one of the best lobster rolls south of Maine. The secret is the lobster-to-bun ratio. While many lobster rolls are guilty of overdoing it with carbs, diners are treated to a tidy, buttery, toasted bun generously packed with chilled lobster salad heavy on lobster meat. There’s no real seating inside, so snag one of the spots outside." - Alona Martinez
