Eddie’s Seafood & Soul Food Restaurant

Wanted some stuffed shrimp, decided to give Eddie's a try. We were greeted & seated we already knew what we wanted. I ordered a half dozen of shrimp with fries, Hubby ordered the same with rice & gravy & red beans & rice. Everything was good, fresh & hot. Mrs. Mavice came to the table & talked with us, brought us a platter of butterfly, deviened, fried shrimp that was to die for. The shrimp were golden brown & seasoned just right. The atmosphere was great, would definitely recommend Eddie's.

A nice hidden gem in Shreveport. The service was great!!! My husband loved the stuffed shrimp. I'm not a fan of stuff shrimp but I tried them and they were good. I recommend you try them as an appetizer, you will like them. They make their sweet tea and it's a 10/10 for me. They also had sock it to me cake. It was delicious. They don't serve any type of juice, just an FYI if someone in your party doesn't like soda. This happened to us. Shockingly, the restaurant went to the store across the street and purchased a juice for my son. That was enough for me. So definitely stop in and give them a try. Great Southern Hospitality!!!

this is the best restaurant in Louisiana,, their seafood is awesome it tastes amazing melts in your mouth. their customer service was absolutely the best i have ever had!!! they make you feel very very welcome and very very comfortable! you should definitely go to Eddie’s to eat or take out it is sooo delicious!! They put little notes on top of box which is so cool and will lift your spirits up. i want to say to the staff at Eddie’s thank you soo much for the kindness you all gave me!! your staff is the most amazing that i ever experienced!! Also you can get their Own Eddie’s Famous sauces at Super 1 and Brookshires also their Fried Shrimp and more at Super 1 just a half mile away

Great family run seafood joint! Stuffed shrimp were on point, loved the fries. Would be a great TripleD joint! Nice find that the locals enjoy and I need to return to and try other items. Only issue was that it was warm in the dining room.

Great food; great atmosphere; & excellent service. I ordered the fried shrimp, smothered steak, & stuffed shrimp. All of the food (including the tartar sauce) was DELICIOUS! I arrived at 10:57am (before the 11am restaurant opening along with some other patrons) & the owners welcomed us in with a smile. The restaurant was busy with lots of To-Go & Pickup orders. There was also a steady flow of customers coming to dine in. Highly recommended!

I am new to the Shreveport area. I'm always looking for a great place to eat for lunch and so far I haven't been impressed with the area. However, Eddie's changed that today. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. They had music playing, friendly staff and it was very clean including the restroom. The restaurant is also decorated nicely. I ordered the catfish plate and it was perfect. The fish was delicious. I usually am not impressed by anyone's fish other than my own but I must say Eddie's has me beat. The tartar sauce was also good and I appreciate them for including 2 on my plate because I hate running out of sauce. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any peach cobbler. But I definitely plan to return and will hopefully get to try it next time.

YOU want the best seafood with a great price & great ambience that's full of Flavor, WELL COME ON DOWN To EDDIE'S...Here in Shreveport Louisiana, where the service is impeccable and the staff is so friendly and will recommend great dishes especially their FAMOUS STUFFED SHRIMP, OH my goodness, when I say EDDIE'S food is delicious, it is, our food came in a timely fashion, nothing was over/or undercooked. And the dessert.OMG, the peach cobbler was so good, it'll make you want to slap your mama, that's how good the food is and the staff was amazing & full of hospitality, & they'll make you laugh even if you're having a bad day, this is the place you would want to be to get catered to while having an enjoyable family meal. & EDDIE'S desserts are to die for, they had the best homemade fish sandwich was delicious no soggy fries and the tartar sauce which was homemade is delicious as well. The atmosphere alone will take you away on a ship cruise if you think about it, all are in togetherness, with the best seafood in town, order Eddie's famous stuffed shrimp delicious 🤤 you can't go wrong if you're coming here for enjoyable family-friendly atmosphere that'll make you want to come back and enjoy dinner here again as I look forward to again. We really enjoyed ourselves today.

I was craving a hamburger steak, smothered in Eddie's gravy. Every time I go there the cashier is always polite and friendly. So I want that to get me something to eat today.

Great food always on point missed the Banana pudding cake though got whole catfish and 4 stuffed shrimp

Succulent meaty fried shrimp and filling stuffed shrimp. Flaky catfish and yummy house made tartar sauce. EVERYTHING was fantastic. All made by the sweetest people we met in Shreveport.

First meal we had in Shreveport, and it was delicious! It's been a while since our visit but I believe we met the owner and her son, both very welcoming and friendly to out-of-towners. Great find!

August 2022 Updated review 1) Service has improved leaps and bounds 2) The portions remain large 3) Interior updated. Brighter. Lively. Clean. 4) See the latest pictures. I didn't get menu pictures as I ordered ToGo. Take Away for the UK'ers. All cards accepted. Dining in involves dedicated service via wait staff and the owners. Good to see a local institution remain family owned and operated.

I got the fried catfish and red beans side of corn bread wait time was kind of long but well worth it fish was seasoned to perfection family oriented vibe classic / authentic soul food restaurant

Everything!!! Food 1 Service 2 Ambiance 0... spent quite a bit of money and was totally disappointed. There's nothing for me to say, there was No Highpoint; best thing I got was conversation. Can't tell you not to go BUT...

Lack flavor & authentic Louisiana stuffed shrimp profile. Very nice people, they just need to go back to the drawing board on the recipes!

Food is decent, but it's hard for me to pay those prices and still wait an hour after pickup time. If you d got the time it's well worth it.

Was not happy with the food to say that it comes from a long line of family and friends that branches off to open their own business!! I got chicken w/fries, 1/2dozen of shrimps, 3 stuffed shrimps, and I asked for toast, they gave me toasted hamburger buns!

Doesn't look like a warm Family Restaurant when you drive up. But you walk in and it is like going to relatives for a great meal. Everyone there was awesome and made me and my Grand daughter, Emma, feel like family that they've nit seen in awhile. Emma got the stuffed shrimp and I got the fish and shrimp. The plates were so big neither of us could eat at all. It was so great we went back then next day. I'll go again when I got back to the area.

Great service!!! I was able to grab a half a dozen just before jumping on a plane back home!!!! Gotta love the flavor of the stuffed shrimp! Hopefully I can purchase these for a station at our wedding! Yuuuum

Sent Would really appreciate the status of my order Firstly, I atttempted to have it shipped to me. My parents reside in Bossier City Louisiana and are currently visiting. How cute would it be to have one of my mom's favorite things to enjoy right, WRONG!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately after several attempts to contact someone on the team that would Brittney (who according to her "She a owner", don't say that in broken English it makes you look bad and shows your lack of education. I had to continually call and chase Brittney down because " She a owner " failed to clear her voicemail. To be conservative It was at least a week of attempting to reach her. Don't know if you can call the dialogue we shared a conversation as "Da Owner" offered suggestions such as "why can't they come by here before they leave "and I found this one in particular a hoot "You can try and go to Brothers but, we own that one to". Eddies has not become the historic legend using that mindset as a business model. As a last resort, I placed an on line order on the 1st of June (Receipt # 4812-8412-2356-0365) still no stuffed shrimp. People like to view us as poor business people who lack the ability to follow thru. As a AA woman in business, I struggle to dispel that negative stigma and try to conduct business whenever possible within what I like to view, a way to small family who should support each other. I called Saturday and requested to speak to Ms. Thigpen and anxiously await her reply but more importantly where is my STUFFED SHRIMP. Don't make them right.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but being from out of town, my wife had done some research and couldn't wait to try the stuffed shrimp. The menu is small, and be sure to ask for a smaller portion of shrimp if you need to, because they are HUGE. You can order three instead of the six listed on the menu. Now I don't like shrimp, so I can't comment on how they tasted, but my wife thought they were great, and they certainly looked unique. I ordered the burger, and it was alright. Definitely a fun experience if you are in the area. Looks like you can call in ahead, as many people were showing up to get their food to go.

today is 07/15/2022, i went here for lunch. the service was lousey and the stuffed shirmp were worst than lousey. 45 minutes of my life i will never get back and 20$ flushed down the toilet.

OMG this place has THE. BEST. FRIED. SHRIMP.EVER!!!!! I walked in & instantly thought I walked into my grand mother's kitchen. Seriously, transport yourself to food heaven & go here for lunch or an early dinner. Seriously-- we've traveled around the world & this place has THE BEST FOOD around!!!!

Garbage. Don't eat there. Stuffed shrimp I ordered were old and hard. Take your business elsewhere.

If you leave hungry, it is your own fault. This is good, authentic soul food. I am not crazy about shrimp, but our table had to try the stuffed shrimp. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. They are monsters and so good. I got smothered pork chops and they did not disappoint.

Amazing....the stuffed shrimp, chicken wings and fried shrimp were delicious. We ate so much. My next step....getting those Stuffed Shrimp nearer to where I live. Just spoke to the Owners of Lillie's Restaurant on Hwy 80 in Clinton, they have agreed to try Eddies Stuffed Shrimp in their restaurant. On my way to Lillie's..... If you want the original...Eddies Stuff Shrimp....you won't be disappointed.

Don't judge a book by its cover! This place may look a little sketchy but it's total deliciousness!!!! The menu is limited, but it's better to do a few things perfect, than to serve mediocrity! And this place serves fantastic, makes me remember my southern roots growing up ! Literally food for the soul! I had smothered pork chops that were as good as my moms! The greens and the cornbread, simply amazing!!!! Service was good, everyone was uber friendly!!! Will definitely be back!!

Gosh, I really hate to say that our visit to Eddie's was a huge disappointment. We were so looking forward to our lunch there after the Southern Living hype. Our first disappointment was finding on arrival that there were no lunch specials. But much much worse, there were absolutely no vegetables of any sort nor any cornbread. The smothered pork chops were good, but served only with rice and gravy and a piece of toast. As a life-long Southerner, I cannot imagine using the "soul food" description for a place with no veggies or cornbread. I will be finding my soul food elsewhere in the future.

DO NOT let the exterior stop you from what will be one of the best meals in Shreveport, La.! Other reviews are spot on....stuffed shrimp is incredible! We didn't try the soul food that day, but judging from the number of people walking in and getting their order to go the soul food has to be amazing. We stopped for lunch and I have NEVER had an experience in a restaurant that made me feel immediately like family. The general manager greeted us and several family members that came out to introduce themselves and to be sure we were happy with our lunch. Food is delicious and portions are huge! Go hungry. Limited menu, but all is prepared when ordered...no heat lamps in this place. Do your taste buds a favor and go in there and get the best Shreveport has to offer. Don't expect linen tablecloths or napkins, just expect the best service and outstanding food from people that care what you think about it!
