The cutest food truck! The owner was really sweet! The menu is insanely big, lots of creative options. I loved the steak, egg & cheese and the turkey omelette special. My new go to breakdown spot in the area!

this is a nice food truck! great service and recommendations. wraps were tasty! well proportioned. hot chocolate was too watery so thats the only downside. else this is a really fantastic breakfast truck and you can sit at the park nearby to eat them! well done !

I had initially stopped here during a long run on a hot day, and my only goal at the time was obtaining a cold bottled water. Since the food looked so fabulous, I made note to return some day. Today was the day! My partner and I ordered the chorizo and egg + the skirt steak and egg tacos. The skirt steak and egg was our favorite, but the other was amazing too. We’ll definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

I ordered the lunch special today chicken rice and salad with sour cream. The rice is too moist and no flavor. The chicken is eh. Lunch special not worth $10. I will not be visiting this establishment again. Atmosphere I gave it a ten because your outside waiting for your food.

Great place for breakfast. We had the tacos with eggs and chorizo. Taste was genuinely amazing.

My order was : Chicken and egg tacos. They were made in good time and came piping hot. Was a treat to have hot steaming food in the cold weather. For my taste the tacos were bland. They lacked the punch that you would get from a tacos. The tangy flavour was missing. The box came with a mint sauce, but I think the mix inside should have something to make it more interesting.

Took a nice stroll on a beautiful Wednesday morning and encountered the Eggstravaganza food truck on the Northeast corner of East 52nd Street and Park Avenue. Ordered a Torerro Breakfast Wrap...the torerro is described as steak, fluffy eggs, avocado, and cotija cheese...waited approximately 6 minutes for the food to be prepared. When I was called back to pick up the food, they had explained to me that there are no more wraps and that they prepared an omelette instead...I was a bit confused as when I ordered they didn't make any mention that the wraps were out...then they say that if I want the wrap I would have to wait another 10 minutes. I opted to just grab the omelette. The steak was flavorful but over cooked, the flavor profile of the dish is wonderful however I do not believe that it is worth the price of $11-12 dollars. All in all the staff are friendly and they mean well but don't think I'd visit again for any of their other fare.

One of my favorite food trucks for breakfast when I’m in the city. Really good variety of eggs. Kind people running the truck. Can’t wait to eat there next time I’m in Manhattan

This place does deserve a higher rating. The lady who I assume is the owner is very nice and greeted me. I tried the chorizo and egg on a roll and it was yummy. She said to try the taco next time which I will. I'm curious about the burrito too. The truck has an A rating which is great. Worry the visit if you are in the area.

I decided to deviate from my typical bacon egg and cheese avocado wrap from my usual spot. So, I ordered the Mexican (authentic) from here. More potatoes than anything else. No salsa as advertised. Very light traces of chorizo. Very disappointing..won't be coming back.

YUMMMMM! I ordered up two California burritos and asked if we could also throw in potatoes and mozzarella, to which the wonderful lady said, no problem. She was also willing to provide takeout containers of delicious, authentic-tasting hot sauce. These burritos made our day. They were hearty, filling, and so well-flavored, with the ingredients perfectly blended and seasoned. The lady wanted me to let her know how I enjoyed my breakfast, but my husband and I were just about to leave town. I hope she reads this review. Thank you, it was delightful, and we will certainly come back next time we're in Manhattan!

This is a slightly overpriced Mexican food cart specializing in breakfast and lunch goods. I went with their Chorizo, egg, and cheese which is usually American but I substituted it (for free) as if I'm going to pay that much, I might as well get actual cheese. The egg on there was fine while the chorizo was cut up into very tiny pieces. The good thing was that it was spread around it well but the bad is that there was the lack of snap/crunch from it. It was also a lot less spicy than I expected it to be which I'm surprised at but there were some good flavors. While I prefer the traditional Mexican food carts more (due to price among other things,) it is this area. It's Midtown East on Park Avenue so if you don't expect a breakfast sandwich for cheap. Nice staff here also. The ratings here are accurate for the area, low/mid 3 (if it was anywhere close to other better carts it would be a 2.5 at most.)

I don't know why, but I've never noticed this truck before on Park Avenue. More than likely it's because I am running away from all the people traffic on every corner. There are so many office buildings on Park Ave. so the lunch rush is intense. The lines for food trucks are just as lengthy at times. Today I got lucky and a bunch of folks already ordered and were just waiting. The "eggs" in Eggs Travaganza caught my eye. I love eggs...I can eat it any time of the day. However, after reading the menu I opted for some Mexican fare. (Already had scrambled eggs this morning and I was thinking I wanted steak). So instead of steak and eggs, I went for the carne asada (steak) platter. Each platter comes with salad and rice. Then you can choose between hot sauce, cream sauce, or guacamole or all three if you want. I went for the cream sauce and guacamole only. The steak was cooked medium well, some pieces were a little chewy but all had a good flavor - grilled and nice color to them. I didn't think to ask for medium rare...just ordered it as is. (Could use some onions...would've helped to tie the flavors together). The salad it came with was good, the dressing already tossed in, it was a light oil and white balsamic mix (contains cheese). The rice sadly was too overcooked for my taste. Consistency was mushy and just too soft. It did have a lot of ingredients going for it so instead of a 2.5 star rating, I rounded it to 3. The corn, carrots, peas, lima beans, and green beans was a nice variation on the usual plain yellow rice. It was flavorful, just too soft. Now that I know the truck is there, I may return for something with eggs...probably should've on this visit but my eyes floated to the Mexican fare menu. I'm a fan of food trucks in general...they rule the midtown scene for sure.

I love breakfast, but so often I find that the brick-and-mortar deli chains scattered throughout NYC tend to disappoint. Tired of sandwiches thrown sloppily together with overcooked eggs? Tired of hot bars specializing in blandness? So am I. Fortunately, I can satisfy my breakfast cravings at Eggstravaganza, a food truck located on the NE corner of 52nd and Park. The common themes between everything I've tried here: great taste and freshness. Eggstravaganza is consistent and has a wide offering of wraps, rolls, and tacos to choose from. I've ordered the classic meat, egg, and cheese sandwiches as well as wraps from their 'power breakfast' menu, which takes the ingredients a step further (avocado, grilled mushrooms and onions, etc). They're quick and polite, too! While the amount of food you may get for your buck leaves a bit to be desired, Eggstravaganza makes up for it in quality. I've stood outside their truck in below freezing temperatures before, and you can bet I'll be doing it again!

Honestly this place deserves to be a solid 4. I guess it's a bit pricey for this kind of food, but freshness, quality, and the service make it worth it. Also the cost matches that of food around it. I relocated from Texas where you can get bfast tacos anywhere basically and Id say this place hit my breakfast taco craving. The accompanying green salsa had great flavor, but Id prefer it to be spicier.

Surprised to see that this food truck doesn't have more stars! I'd say this place is a hidden gem of the midtown area, especially because the food in the general area is rather boring. Will pop by here for breakfast or lunch during my work shift to grab a quick bite. Their tacos are SO good, made fresh to order, and very reasonably priced. I also like how you can buy a single taco, makes for a nice snack if I'm having a taco craving. I would recommend ordering online to pick up, as you won't have to wait. Lack of 1 star just because their burritos are sometimes on the oily/soggy side. Otherwise, I highly recommend!

The truck is located northeast corner of 52nd street. Went there around 1:30 pm and didn't have to wait at all. There are plenty of space nearby for you to sit and eat your lunch. There are also many other fantastic food trucks nearby. Food: I had the Steak Burrito. I really didn't like any part of the Burrito. The meat was pre-cooked and reheated had a funky oily smell and had no seasoning. Rice was very mushy. Burrito came with corn chips which were extremely salty. The chips reminded me of salty theater popcorn. They are probably good in breakfast items as their name highlights Service: quick Price: if the food is bad then no matter how much you pay it is over priced. Overall: Very very disappointed. 1 star because, lack of seasoning and overcooked rice.

Let me tell you, Eggs Travaganza was really fantastic. The vibe was welcoming as well the workers. Pretty much every item that we have purchased was super fresh and delicious. Staff is extremely helpful and will help you with anything. We will definitely be back soon.

If you love eggs, you really cant go wrong here :) They've got a pretty extensive breakfast menu going and even have GF tortillas! It's a great quick stop on the way to work. Everything is made to order so its a few mns but it's well worth it. Eggs are fresh and tasty and bread and tortillas are healthy as well. Lots of flavor and filling despite the size (looked a bit small..). Wish this was parked closer to my office although i like that I gotta work for it some :)

E G G B O Y S $4 for 1 Taco is EGGSPENSIVE. I mean I would call it a delicious Eggsperience, but the prices were a little too Eggstravagant. My Chorizo and Egg Tacos were actually Eggsceptional. I also tried the Huevos Tocino Taco which was meh. The guac was also meh. Aside from that, the people in the truck were cool. Sadly they didn't have any steak ready or I might have gotten that instead of the tocino. Maybe I'll come back if I'm desperate for a morning taco.

somewhat pricey food truck. they are good though. try the skirt steak and eggs taco ($5). I initially heard about this truck because I was looking at breakfast sandwich places. i was craving eggs for lunch so I stopped by. to be honest, their breakfast sandwiches are generally more expensive than some delis which i just think shouldn't be the case.

You want excellent eggs and related sandwiches in Midtown East? Forget everything else and go to this wonderful truck! An amazing menu of all kinds of egg dishes, with interesting common and wonderfully unique ingredients, with a Latino fair. But if pedestrian BEC is your jam, they have that too. Service is quick and friendly and prices are reasonable, particularly for this neighborhood.

Felt like all of my midtown food trucks were incentivized by my colleague and none of them disappointed me. This small Mexican truck was famous for its three amigos wrap so I gave a try, very satisfactory! It smelt great even outside the truck. The crust was a little bit hard to bite though.

I've been meaning to try this truck ever since I read about it on Midtown Lunch. This truck is well known for their breakfast sandwich varieties, particularly their "mexican style" grilled cheese. I finally got up early enough to see what all the hype was about and i definitely was not let down!! When I showed up (around 9:15am) there wasn't a line at all, but by no means does that say they don't have a huge fan base. Apparently they weren't at their usual spot yesterday morning and everyone in the area had a freak-out... On to the food, the mexican grilled cheese did not disappoint. Breakfast is always a good thing, breakfast off of a truck is an even better thing... but i can honestly say this square of greasy amazingness is one of the best breakfasts under $5 i've had in a long time. The cheese is nice and melted, blended with chorizo and tomato and placed between two, 7 grain slices of perfectly buttered bread. To boot, the couple that works the truck are 2 of the nicest people you can find at such an early hour of the workday... I was passing this truck and decided to try a vegetable taco. I was deliciously surprised. The taco was not only fresh but also the vegetables had great flavor unlike most places where vegetables are just grilled and thrown in. I would definitely go back and the prices are extremely reasonable.

I got the taco campechano for lunch (one chicken taco, one steak and one chorizo) for $8. The wait was around 10 minutes since there were 2 or 3 people before me. I could imagine it getting really slow though if there's a ton of people waiting. The chorizo taco was spicy and tasty, the chicken was succulent and tender (by far my favorite) but the steak was too tough and sometimes charred around the edges. I enjoyed the meal though and it was definitely filling. I'm excited to try more dishes like the Mexican Grilled Cheese.

This cart isn't your average NYC breakfast cart. They have everything your regular NYC breakfast cart PLUS MORE! Chorizo and Carne Asada! First time trying this place out and definitely not my last. My boyfriend and I tried the chorizo fresco, Carne Asada burrito and the steak and eggs taco. Both of us loved the chorizo fresco the most! The man was more interactive with us than the lady. He was really nice to chat with a little while we were waiting our food.

The most pleasant food truck workers I've ever encountered, especially at 7 AM. I asked, "Can I add avocado to that?" and he says, "Ma'am, you could add whatever you want!" Why can't that be the answer to every question I have? Anyway, I ordered the egg whites/7 grain bread, added avocado, & an iced coffee. The coffee wasn't worth writing about, but the sandwich was delicious, HUGE, and I only paid $6 for the entire meal. Eggscellent.

I have had over hundreds of tacos from various places throughout NYC, and I have to say this is my top 10. Customer service is also top notch and friendly as can be. Overall, tremendous...

I had a Mexican wrap from this truck. It had eggs, chorizo, and potatoes in it. For $5 it's a bit on the pricey side, but I wouldn't have minded if it actually tasted good. It was super bland even though they put hot sauce/salsa in it. I may give one of the other dishes a shot if I come across this truck again. Usually I end up going to one of the many carts serving bacon, egg and cheese on a roll for much less.

Cheap and delicious mexican food. Chorizo salad was well proportioned and very filling for lunch. Workers turned the orders around at a moderate pace and were very nice. Would recommend for a quick lunch on a nice day.

$5 for basically just a roll. Tiny tiny amount of turkey bacon and probably 1 egg. Go to the food cart across the street on 54 and park. Waaay better and 2 dollars cheaper

Charged me $4.50 for a skimpy breakfast sandwich with 1 egg and they even kept the eggshells in it for me. They are overpriced and skimpy on the food. You have wayyyyy better options within a mere 50ft radius. Don't waste your $ here...

This is my go to breakfast stop. The food is delicious, the wait is longer than average food trucks, but it is a really good spot, and they are ALWAYS(weekdays) in their park ave location so you don't have to worry about finding a specific truck location. I really like the El Paso and the Mexican wraps. Their chorizo is delicious! The staff are so helpful, but the wait can be a bit long if you are in a rush.

The tacos are so good. Every flavor is delicious, the tortillas are fresh and perfectly grilled, and the green sauce they use is amazing. I get them as often as possible, which is often since I work in the adjacent office building.

Love this inconspicuous food truck. I thought everything was eggs, but it's not! I get the Three Amigos wrap which has been PERFECT solid lunch and post-run pick me up for me. They are very friendly and service minded. I even got a banana from them to tide me over once when I was just coming from a run. My warmest recommendations!

I wish I could post a photo on here which perfectly describes why I'm so upset with this food truck. I asked for ketchup and they gave me literally one dot. Is that purposely to anger me? What was even the point? Don't mess with a ketchup lover. Plus, I could have gone to a dinner for less than these eggs cost me. $8 for an omlet with nothing to accompany it, which I waited 10 minutes for. Enough said.

This review is for their lunch. The short version of this review would be "mmmmmm!" No wait, "MMMMMM!!!" There. That's better. I went in thinking that there was no way a $5 wrap could not only be filling, but also be delicious. And I was wrong. By wrap, they pretty much mean burrito, even though they have a separate burrito item on their menu. But whatever, not important. The food is delicious. Chicken, vegetables, rice, and lots of green sauce. All cooked, and wrapped up for you. And then smothered in chips. For five bucks. Quite the deal. I didn't even realize it was going to be so big going in, so I got a taco as well. The chorizo taco is cooked and served with homefry-esque potatoes, and is good. Then it too is smothered in green sauce, and served. Sort of a cross between a breakfast taco and a normal taco. Brunch taco? Awesome! Possibilities for 5 stars are there (needs more originality, meats), but currently, 4 and 4+ is fair. But if you're in the area, check it out.

I usually get the bacon and egg breakfast taco, which is never a dissappointment. I've tried the lunch menu a few times (carne asada platter and chicken platter. The lunch meals were good, filling meals but the breakfast tacos are where it's at in my opinion!

3.5, rounded to 4 because of how freaking friendly these people are. Thanks to midtownlunch, I've found myself grabbing lunch here on more than one occasion. The winners are the egg sandwiches (unsurprisingly), and Mexican grilled cheese (YUM). The losers are the tacos. The shell is soggy and dry at the same time, and the meat tastes dry and low-quality. It was bad enough to keep me away from this place for a few weeks. It is hard to spend more than $7.50 here. They have never been that busy when I stop by, but you can call your order in ahead of time. They're very friendly, and on nice days, there is some outdoor seating in nearby office pavilions. I actually went out looking for this cart after trying to look for breakfast food. This cart isn't the easiest to see as it is a bit tucked away and isn't as blingy as some of the other carts, but OMG does it deliver on amazing food. I ordered the Mexican wrap because I heard a lot of other Yelpers recommending it. It was 5.50 (I think) and about the size of your standard 10" tortilla shell. Note that it does get made right away, so if there's a ton of people there, you may be waiting for your deliciousness a little bit. The Mexican wrap was amazing. It's the perfect balance of flavours and really sets itself apart. It's not really overwhelmingly covered in salsa or hot sauce, and really blends well. I also had a bite of the "Park Avenue" and I found it kind of plain after having the "Mexican". While New York City is covered in street carts waiting for your business, Eggs Travaganza is definitely one of them that you should give a chance.

Went here this morning after not having gone for a while. Thanks to a Groupon I was all set to get 2 steak and 2 chorizo tacos when I spotted a new menu item: shrimp and egg tacos. Apparently it's something they're testing out. Normally seafood at a street cart would give me pause but having had their chorizo tacos before I didn't stop to question the offering. They were solid had good flavor and while the seafood taste came through it wasn't overpowering in a bad way. Coupled with the chorizo tacos it made for a great start to the work day. The owners are friendly and continue to offer a very affordable, tasty option for breakfast. Keep it up!

My new favorite little food cart in mid-town. The breakfast tacos are muy delicioso, especially the chorizo ones. The owners are super nice and are just so good at what they do! I love a good product for a great price.

The omelette I had was very oily and did not taste like the ingredients were very fresh. I wasn't in love with the service either. The woman was very sassy and it was not as if there were many customers and she had to go quickly, I was the only one there at the time. One redeeming quality was the price. Cheap for midtown and for lunch. So not a bad deal all in all.

I usually get the Chorizo salad bowl which is only about $7.50. Great price for the area/quality/quantity if you ask me. Today I tried the bacon and eggs taco. Very good! I would've like to have more than one, but they are $4 each and that's just too expensive. I'll be getting that only when I feel like treating myself in the morning. The people who run the truck are very nice as well. :)

Heard about this while watching Foodography and was not disappointed. I came here for breakfast and grabbed the chorizo roll for $3. Service was quick and given with friendly smiles and my breakfast was hot, delicious and seasoned just right to boot! I'm just sad that it's normally too far out of my way for me to go there regularly!

I started out getting eggs white sandwiches and then joined them on facebook. After seeing another customer posting on FB about losing 16lbs after having lunch with them daily, I asked HOW??? they responded, just let us know and we can make you the same. I have been ordering the same and so far so good. Its a very tasty protein and veg wrap. I just call or text my order and its ready very quickly. All I can say is - Delish!!! and Thank you.

Just had a nice, fresh salad with grilled chicken. Everything was great, very tasty with a little bit of spice. (Something I don't associate with a salad.) Very friendly staff, quick and efficient. I'll definitely be back, and look forward to trying some of their other dishes!

I recently boosted this place twice looking to use a GROUPON that they had advertised and each time I received a different reason for why they couldn't value the promotion, THAT I PAID FOR AHEAD OF TIME. now I'm from New Jersey do unless I'm already over here it's quite a hassle to get back in the area, and cost me extra cash pet train, so to walk up to the truck enthusiastically wanting to taste some breakfast just to have the owners carelessly shrug their shoulders and not even pay their customers attention is sad. SAD. no apology or understanding from either of them just a shrug and a swat goodbye. And p.s. if it was a stipulation to the fact of use then I could understand but to just have potential customers come to your booth and try to use an offer you put out but can't redeem because you changed your mind yesterday is terrible business. BAAADDDDDDDDD.TOTAL REFUND(just for the shrugging and sense of not caring).

A perfect breakfast cart. The lines alone is confirmation that this place delivers on its menu promises. I went with the Mexican wrap mainly because I was feeling the need for chorizo in the morning. A rarity for breakfast in NYC, they fill the wrap with such wonderful flavors in the potatoes, eggs, chorizo and hot sauce. The southwest wrap gives it a nice touch. With a cup of iced coffee it is a perfect way to start the day. Don't let the lines discourage you. They are good with line management and everyone is satisfied in the end.

Well, I waited ... I would say 8-10 min around 9am on a Monday morning. Paid $7 for a so called Mexican (authentic) omelet. It was really an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink sort of eggstravaganza. Filled with peppers, chorizo, potatoes, onions, cheese, and guac- because the toppings were unevenly spread/portioned, I had a surprise in every bite. The uneven distribution would normally be a downer, but in this case I embraced the surprise and thought it was fine. Obviously get it with hot sauce.

I eat here and get eggs whites at lunch hour. No one else serves breakfast for lunch in the area $6 for egg whites and avocado -- seems fair to me. It's always fast and delish! You can never go wrong with eggs ever.

Great breakfast sandwiches! They are always parked at 52nd and Park Avenue in the mornings (at least weekday mornings!). Fast, friendly service and no complaints. Not too greasy, and not too expensive. What more can you ask for?

I read about the grilled cheese sandwich on multigrain bread loaded with tomatoes, chorizo and bacon and added this cart to my "to-eat "list. 5 months later, it was more than worth the walk from 8th avenue in 40 degree weather. There was no wait, my tomato was freshly sliced, no sitting around in some dodgy container. And even after the 15 minute walk back to my office, my sandwich was not one bit soggy. The chorizo makes it spicy and smokey, the bacon was sliced so there are nice sized chunks of bacon in every bite. I might try to make this at home with lettuce and onions, but really, it doesn't need it! Oh this sandwich is amazing. I'll try their Mexican wrap next.

Yum!!! I was craving tacos on a Monday and I was hoping I could find a taco truck around the food truck motherland that is midtown. I'm so happy I found this place! At first glance, it seemed like a breakfast trick with the name "eggstravaganza" but glancing at the menu I see TACOS! I immediately stop. I check the yelp reviews- I'm weary but at this point I'm hungry and I say screw it. I ordered two Cajun chicken tacos - I normally don't do chicken tacos but I had a good feeling about these - and one steak taco. These are Mexico/ California true taco truck tacos! So good, so flavorful. I used to work at an authentic Cali/ Mexican spot so I know good tacos. I'm so glad I didn't let the reviews sway me. I will say the chicken was better than the steak. The steak was a little chewy and wasn't OVERLY flavorful. But still good. I can't wait to come back and try chorizo and eggs!!
