Hubby and I came here for our anniversary! It was absolutely splendid! The service was amazing, and quick and the atmosphere was light and inviting. Already planning our next date night there!

Grabbed dinner with my sister tonight and highly recommend the BBQ burger and huckleberry lemonade! Great place and want to bring the rest of my family back! No wait, sat on patio with misters and waitress and staff were super nice! Food was out quick too!

Google
First time coming to ETC, which is nestled right in downtown Meridian. The restaurant was very clean and open, with lots of seating indoors and outdoors. We sat at the bar inside since there was a decent wait to get a regular table. The staff was super friendly and helped us right away. The food was really yummy. The dishes were a little under salted (which I prefer so I can bring it up to my liking). Overall everything was super yummy and there was no leftovers. They also have a great happy hour and their fish tacos are rumored to be legendary. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
atmosphere, food, and staff were amazing. this was my first time here and definitely not my last! will be taking friends and family when they visit. the brussels sprouts were THE BEST. I could eat 20 orders. i need dat recipe…

Google
Ok, I want to start off saying I’ve always been a fan of the food and drinks here. And went in last night specifically because I was craving the French Dip sandwich. I ordered it to go with the waiter who was at the hostess booth. He asked if I wanted it loaded with mushrooms, onions and provolone cheese. Hell yes I did. He punched it into the handheld device and said it would be $28…umm what…that’s wild for a sandwich and fries. But I was really wanting this sandwich and had an extra long Monday at work. Paid and even left a 20% tip on a to go order(I was not offered a receipt and realized this after). I waited patiently, got my food and went home where I opened the box and was immediately disappointed. I was not seeing loaded at all. I had one mushroom on one half and maybe two on the other half, barely any onions and hardly any cheese. I tried calling the restaurant and nobody picked up and was just in a loop with the recording.

My 20yr old son and I came on a Friday night. Great food. Very busy & waited a short time for a table. Inside & outdoor tables. Large variety of drinks. Recommend the homemade fried pickles and stroganoff Mac ‘n cheese.

Google
Eight Thirty Common’s is a great place to eat at with good food, great service and a nice atmosphere. It is a great place to meet with friends or family or for a nice date night. The appetizers are also excellent here, you have to try the cheesy tots! The food is a little expensive in my opinion for the portion sizes and quality but it always tastes good and comes out hot!

Driving through on the way home to Phoenix. Looked for a dog friendly restaurant and found Eight Thirty Common. The food was fantastic. My wife had the Proud to Be an American burger and I had the Grown Up Grilled Cheese. Fantastic!! Adison, our server, was awesome. Thanks for a great experience.

Yelp
This place is so amazing the service is on point my waitress was so nice and on top of that their food is so good

Yelp
The beer and appetizers are good and we were enjoying the patio until the horrible smell of the dumpster became obvious. I wouldn't sit outside again, it stinks.

Yelp
Went here with friends after a walk though he Farmers market last week. Every. Little. Thing. Was. Perfect. We waited maybe two minutes to sit outside because the weather was amazing. Our waitress Jasmine was so personable, she gave us just the right amount of attention. The foodie in me was SO happy! My best friend and I had the BBQ chicken salad with perfectly cooked chicken, the ranch and drizzle sauce were delicious, her husband had the French Dip that looked amazing and their daughter had an Eggs Benedict that truly looked like something out of a magazine - and she said they tasted just as good. I know you might be rolling your eyes and saying this was some basic food but the magic was in that every single item was next level perfect. The more the prices of food go up the more I appreciate a place where there's actual talent in the kitchen and a staff that supports them. I can not wait to go back next time I'm in the area (I don't think I have ever said that in a review) I definitely never thought I'd be excited to try three kinds of avocado toast yet here I am and I was eyeing some good looking lattes too! Sorry no photos, we were in the moment! Maybe next time.

Yelp
This had to be one of my most disappointing visits. We were 5 minutes early to our reservation, but seated immediately. We waited at our table for 18 minutes, watching several other tables be seated with immediate service, before our server appeared...but that was only after I stopped another server and asked if anyone was available. We ordered everything at this time since we had more than enough time to review the menu. We ordered the finger steaks to open. I ordered the Tres Amigo Tacos, hubby ordered the Flat Iron Steak, daughter had the Chicken Fried Chicken and my friend visiting Idaho for the first time (and I had spent so much time raving about 830 Common to her) ordered the Flat Iron Steak Salad. Finger steaks were quite good as they were tender and lightly breaded. The cocktail sauce was great to me, but everyone at the table was not a fan. Dinner took longer than usual to come out, but we assumed it was due to pacing since we ordered an appetizer. Food arrived and looked amazing. My hubby loved his medium flat iron steak, fingerling potatoes as everything was tender and juicy. Daughter raved about the chicken fried chicken, which I tried, and it was perfectly cooked with crispy batter and fork-tender fried chicken. My friend thought her steak was deliciously cooked to order, but the salad roasted garlic dressing was not her favorite. Also the "salad" was more a steak plate with a side of lettuce. Luckily the server switched out to blue cheese dressing and she was happy. The biggest and most outrageous disappointment was my dinner - I ordered one of each taco, the fish, carnitas and chicken verde. The fish taco was a shining star; crispy and flaky with a lovely cream sauce and fresh vegetables. However, the carnitas adobo taco was so dry, even after adding lime and even borrowing my friend's uneaten garlic dressing, that I could barely swallow the food. I was trying to take smaller bites so I wouldn't have to chew so long before swallowing, but the flavor and dryness just was too much so I gave up. I started with the chicken verde next, taking a bite with eager anticipation, only to be met with a flavorless bite of chicken sawdust. I literally had to chew a solid 5 minutes before I could swallow. I tried again, dousing the taco with lime and more dressing, took a smaller bite and it was horrible. I couldn't make it even 1/2 way through. It was my birthday dinner and I was so disappointed. I was genuinely concerned for other patrons, as I figured the carnitas and chicken were not prepared to order, so anyone else would have the same experience. I walked over to the host station and politely asked if I could talk to a manager to let them know. I was met with rolling eyes and asked, "Why? What's up?". No professionalism, concern or care. I politely explained that I had some concerns about my meal and would appreciate the opportunity to talk to the manager. The host went to my server and let them know I needed to talk to someone and my server uncomfortably came over. I asked for a manager and was told no manager was on duty and only a shift lead was available (concerning). I went on to explain that I could not finish my meal as both the carnitas and chicken tacos were inedible. My server was very understanding and explained that several customers had the same experience, then offered to remove the meal from my bill. I don't believe in this practice as the meal was prepared and I ate 1/3rd of it...not to mention, that was not the reason for the complaint. I am hesitant to return as a place that used to be great, should also be consistent. It was disappointing to be so excited to only have 1/2 of our party satisfied 100% with their meals. Not to mention, the host's flippant demeanor was unjustified. I would have given one star based on my meal alone, but my daughter and hubby genuinely loved their meals. It was also pretty distracting to see heavy clumps of dust spread across the top of the back booth seats, which stretched from end to end...made me question the cleanliness. They really need to bring back their fried Mac and cheese balls!

Yelp
Atmosphere here is very nice. The server was very attentive and helpful, as well. I ordered the meatloaf, and was craving it, but when it arrived, it was smothered in a pasty gravy that really detracted from the meal. I scraped it off and used ketchup instead, and the meal was much better. I wish gravy was an option, served on the side, instead of completely covering the meatloaf. My colleague also complained about the gravy.

Yelp
Phenomenal food, great service, causal ambiance. Love coming here!! Parking can be a pain, but the restaurant itself is worth it.
google avatar

Amy Y.

Yelp
Great appetizers here! Amazing atmosphere with a great little patio with misters to keep you cool. Their peanut lime chicken salad is phenomenal!
google avatar

Elena S.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. The tots are incredible, best thing on the menu. My friends also liked the fried pickles, they are large slices instead of little disks and are crunchy. The ETC sauce is great, the chicken sandwich is average. I couldn't believe how good to kale Caesar was, the chicken a great add. Skip the Brussel sprouts, they have a ton of balsamic vinegar it is overwhelming.

Yelp
Great place, nice vibe. The food was very good! I wish there were more beer options but still had a great time!

Yelp
Tried a new place (new for us) to eat. We loved it!! Great food, drinks & service. We sat in the patio & even though it was a hot day, we were very comfortable with a nice breeze & misters. Our view was a cute little park.

Yelp
Food and ambience is excellent, we've been here a few times and never had a bad meal. Strongly recommend!!

Yelp
Went to Eight Thirty Common for the first time for my birthday and Father's Day brunch, and they made it so special. We were a little late but the staff was super kind and made it work. Brought our baby pup Koda Bug and sat on the patio. The vibe and atmosphere were perfect. I got the cinnamon French toast and the Brava potatoes, which were absolutely to die for. My dad had the biscuits and gravy and said it was the best he's ever had. I definitely stole a few bites. I had a pineapple mimosa my favorite, and Koda Bug got some eggs and blueberries. My mom had the best espresso martini she's ever had, so we'll definitely be back for a girls day. Our waitress was amazing and the manager was so sweet. Even got a little dessert surprise. Thank you for making our day so special. We'll definitely be back

Yelp
Great space and vibe for a rainy, Sunday morning. Waitress was very nice and eclectic, in a good way. Chose a traditional morning cocktail (screwdriver) instead of the ever so popular and visually appealing bloody mary's. Of the three types of toast, the pesto strawberry was the tastiest. The eggs benedict was awesome. Served on a split muffin with maple bacon and a delicious sauce. The potatoes were killer. First boiled and then fried so the inside was soft but the outside crispy. Get in my belly!
google avatar

Raymond S.

Yelp
The smash burger was killer. Sat at the bar and had great service. Food was all amazing. Never had finger steaks and these did not disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
Good experience, nice ambience nice vacation. Server could've been a little bit more attentive than he was but he looked busy doing inside and outside tables overall would go again.

Jonee' M.

Yelp
Food is good but service is SLOOOOWWWWW. My favorite menu item is the waygu corn dogs

Brenda T.

Yelp
Hostess was very rude! Won't try them again. Many other places to eat at in the Valley.
google avatar

Yelp
Busy 30 minute wait but kind and attentive. Text when table ready. We both had French dip and was good. Glad we got here early since it was a lot of people showed up. Suggest u make reservations

Yelp
Great food every time. Service is amazing. Servers and staff are very friendly. Great place in Downtown Meridian.

Ken L.

Yelp
Services were not great. Our server seemed to be spread out and didn't make it back to our table for extended periods of time. My wife and I like to share our food but with no utensils it's quite difficult. When I asked the water person for a knife she said I'll let your server know. The fried pickles would have been good if they weren't scolding hot and both of us burned the roofs of our mouths. A little heads up would have been great. I wouldn't recommend this place.
google avatar

Dun G.

Yelp
The staff was nice enough, place was clean. Prices were okay.Drinks were okay (not worth the price), but the food was meh. My steak was ordered medium and came so well done I couldn't finish it. And whatever the flavor they were going for was gross. Potatoes with it were bad. I got a salad instead and it came with my food and was warm, so it was clearly forgotten in the window. I had the option to eat it and let my dinner get cold or ditch it so I took like three bites and lost it. Waste of money. The rest of my party said their food was just okay. This was a miss.

Yelp
We've been there twice for brunch. The first time about a month ago and there were 6 of us. We had reservations and we were seated within 5 minutes. Except for the kids burgers coming out pink in the inside, everyone was really happy with their meals. The 2nd time, just 2 of us with no reservations and we were seated within 10 minutes. Again everything was great except I wish I had bacon with my avocado toast. I ordered the trio of toasts. After I left, I discovered there should've been some bacon on it, but it was sadly forgotten. I'll be back so they can make it up to me :-) Service both times was great.

Yelp
The food and service was really good. I highly recommend making reservations a reservations as indoor seating is a bit limited. They had outdoor seating but the weather was prohibitive. We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids for dinner. The waiter was very friendly and kept up with our multiple requests for refills, more napkins etc. The food was great but we were too full to order dessert. I highly recommend giving it a try. We plan to go back again soon.

Valerie D.

Yelp
Great food. Service is mixed depending on server. Just don't count on happy hour deals. Twice we arrived 20-30 minutes before it ended and our server did not even come to our table with 5 minutes to spare then told us it was over by the time she turned in the order. So if you don't care about happy hour, highly recommend the regular menu
google avatar

Yelp
This is our go to for brunch and lunch. We have been here half a dozen times at least and never disappointed. My husband and I have lunch dates here, we bring out of town guests and I've had girls brunch here too. My kids always love the little books with the menus. It's a nice touch. Our favorites are the beet salad, corn dogs, kids cheeseburger sliders, French dip, burgers...cocktails I like the booze and the bees, if loving you is wrong... always mixed well and not overpowering but a good kick Parking is always pretty easy whenever we come. Bathrooms are clean and servers are friendly.

Erin B.

Yelp
One of our favorite local spots! Everything we have tried here is amazing! We have been for brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. We often bring guests when they are visiting from out of town. The fact that you can now make reservations is definitely icing on the cake!
google avatar

Russ M.

Yelp
Nice little bistro with a limited menu and small but good beer selection. The food was plentiful and decent tasting. My wife had the crispy Brussels sprouts and I the uncommon burger with fries. It's difficult to judge a restaurant on an appetizer and burger but both dishes were good and we cleaned our plates. The place was jumping for a Thursday night so guessing all the food must be popular. It is quite noisy when packed like it was. Overall a thumbs up and will try again sometime!

Kacy W.

Yelp
The food is consistently good, as is the service and ambiance!I One of my most favorite dishes is the Steak Salad!! Fabulous, magical dressing & just a must have item!! Best biscuits in town only on the weekends!! You will go back for seconds & thirds!!!

Shannon R.

Yelp
Arrived for Sunday Brunch. $22.00 unlimited mimosas The food was spectacular! Service was superb! Drinks were so tasty!
google avatar

Paul N.

Yelp
Four of us had the French dip, Wow at $20 bucks each. Super small and they were terrible! Meat was very thin almost no meat! The onion rings were Awful...Water down lemonade. With a super slow waitress. Not sure how this place got any good reviews? I won't be coming back ever! Expensive and left hungry, no one finished their food.

Yelp
I've gone to Eight Thirty Common at least 5 times and it never disappoints! I've gone with my family, group of colleagues and for date night so it's safe to say it's the perfect restaurant for any occasion. When it comes to adult beverages, I highly recommend the drink 'Absolutely Delicious' because well... the name says it all! I had a table of 7 for one of my nights out and the drinks came out fast even on a busy night so I was really happy with the quick service. The star of the show is most definitely the food, I've never eaten something I didn't like. I've had the fried chicken and waffles during a weekend brunch that was fantastic and most recently ate their salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both were superb. They also have a great selection of appetizers to choose from such as the Brussel sprouts and corn dogs if you're inclined. All seem to be a reasonable price for the high quality of ingredients used. Overall, if you're looking for a great time either with friends, coworkers or loved ones, I highly recommend Eight Thirty Common. Great food, fresh ingredients and won't break the bank.

Yelp
Ahhhh mazing. So good. Food is scrumptious and made fresh. Wait staff is friendly and actually cares. I heard table next to me delineate food allergies and the wait staff took the time to get it right. Such a fun atmosphere. If I'm a little blue, I go in there for some of their nachos (oh my gosh!) off the appetizer menu or the chicken friend chicken, as good as in the south...I promise. I would know. The chicken is tender inside, super crunchy outside, generous portions, mashed potatoes, GRAVY TO DIE FOR. Managers are in touch. Again, such a fun, beautiful, happy place to catch a basketball game on the monitor or talk to a complete stranger. I did both. These people should give lessons...Oh, and they don't roll up the carpet early...open on Sunday til 9. Go see 'em.
google avatar

Brendie W.

Yelp
I was shocked when walking into Eight Thirty Common, it was much smaller than I expected it to be. The restaurant was not as clean as I would have expected it to be half the tables were not clean and the floors needed swept. Our waitstaff was friendly but not over attenive. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich with fries. The coffee drinks/ bar drinks are all delicious! I would try it again.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good. The service was downright atrocious. Wildly so. Our server came by our table initially and slammed down four waters. Made no eye contact. Did not say hello. Did not introduce himself. Came back to take our drink order. And we decided to place our food order at the same time. When our food arrived, he slammed down our food. My daughter literally was so taken aback, she jumped in her chair. From the minute we sat down, Sagan was rude and unhappy. When we were ready to pay our tab, he told us he hoped we had a great night, and he really appreciated us. We all had to laugh! It was the first time he looked any of us in our actual faces and spoke anything kindly. I guess he was hoping for a decent tip. The food's not good enough to go back for crappy service.
google avatar

Drew M.

Yelp
Date night with my wife and luckily, there was seating at the bar. We got some drinks, had a delicious spinach and artichoke dip appetizer then ordered our entrees. As we sat at the bar, I watched one bartender work non stop for what seemed to be the entire time we were there. She made drink after drink without a complaint or break for that matter. Eventually, another server came back to help, but man, it was tough to watch. I know it's hard to get help right now, but why exhaust such a talented person? You don't want to lose her as well! Good took a little longer than I would have liked, and my wife's entree was over salted. My burger was great, fries were so so. Prices are up and we walked away at $150 for two people which included a healthy (and well deserved) tip. Hard to justify that kind of spend at a bar and grill. Happy hour is always great here, will come back for that, probably not dinner. Kudos to that bar staff, you are worthy of more!

Yelp
2nd time eating here wile visiting Boise. The food is great. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the deviled eggs. A must in Boise.

Claudia M.

Yelp
Layla&Veronica were great!! They went out of their way to make us feel great and welcomed great service . These two girls did so well and we were a party of 10
google avatar

Tobhiyah G.

Yelp
The food & service are ok, love the atmosphere. The Brussels sprouts & beet salad are always good but the past few times I've gone the other salads have been meh

Nancy K.

Yelp
Always like the service and the quality of food we received at Eight Thirty Common. Especially enjoy the brunch. The ambiance is good also, although a few times music on a Sunday morning is too loud and is more appropriate for a Saturday night.

M H.

Yelp
Went for brunch, had a reservation. They were very busy when we got there and still waited 25 min for our table. By the time we got the table it had slowe down quite a bit with some empty tables. Sat at the table for a good 20 min or more before we even got water and that was because we told the hostess even though many people working there had passed us many times. Ordered our drinks waited an other 20 minutes before we received them. After sitting there for a good 40 min our order was finally taken, and then of course there is a wait for the food. The food was decent but when a friend got her eggs Benedict her plate had half an egg shell in it. How do you not notice a plate being served with half an egg shell! Anyway all in all I don't know if the waiting was worth the end result.

Yelp
I'm new to the Meridian area. I was looking for a new place to dine. Eight Thirty caught my eye from another review suggesting Fish and Chips. Let me say the other review was spot on. The Fish and chips were spot on. Two large pieces of battered fish. So big I took one home for next days lunch. The establishment was packed, so I sat at the bar. Sitting at the bar was fine with me, to have my drinks without waiting. I'll certainly be back to try other things on the menu, but certainly for the Fish and Chips, Great job and the service was also top notch, Thank you

Sylvan B.

Yelp
Quickly seated, drinks were great, service was quick. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Wish they had more knowledge on gluten free, but we survived lol.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Burger wasn't fully cooked to liking, should have sent it back but it really didn't have great flavor. Very Mid. My friend had the steak salad and said it was great! Server gave us the check half way through our meal and had us pay while we were still eating, rushing us out of there. We ate around 3pm.
google avatar

Jon D.

Yelp
This was really good and the food, service and drinks were great. The place was very busy so with a large group that could be an issue. I would most certainly go back.
google avatar

Breonna J.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I love this place!! Definitely our go to for brunch. I got the Huevos Rancheros this last time and it was good, not my favorite. I should have stuck with my regular order of Cowboy Skillet

Nina P.

Yelp
One of my go to places for brunch. The breakfast potatoes are so good! The lemon ricotta pancakes are always nice to share with the table. Good drinks. Friendly staff.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best steak salads I have every eaten. The flat iron steak was cooked to perfection. It was take-out so can't speak to the venue or service. Highly recommended.
