"Ekachan is our top recommendation for where to have a sit-down dinner in Chiang Mai. The menu is full of Northern Thai bangers, including spicy pomelo salad with crab, crispy chicken wings glazed with a zingy tamarind and lemongrass sauce, and an excellent duck laab with lots of toasted rice powder. There’s a pretty large patio that overlooks the river, but the inside is also a nice place to bring a group, since they usually have singer/songwriter types strumming away on the guitar. My fiancé and I came here around 6:30 pm and parked easily in the big lot right in front. We had our hotel call earlier to book a table, which I’d definitely recommend since the place gets quite full during dinner. There are three dining areas — an outdoor riverside balcony, an upper indoor deck, and a basement section (where we sat, not much view). The place is clean and nicely lit, but if you care about the view, let them know when you book. Food and service were both excellent. The staff spoke decent English and were super friendly, patiently explaining the menu and giving great recommendations. We loved the stir-fried prawn with shrimp paste, deep-fried chicken wings, and crab egg curry. The only miss was the steak with chimichurri sauce — the steak is not very tender despite having a “Michelin recommendation” sauce aside (so we were told by the staff). Overall, amazing food. Would totally come back to try more dishes!

Everything is superb. I brought my BF to try the food here. He said it is the best thai restaurant I have never tried. He likes spicy. We love Squid dish. Service and staffs are well trained. We also enjoy the little market here in the community.

I was a little skeptical after seeing some mixed reviews however there was no need to be. The staff were extremely helpful from start to finish, the food was incredible. We had a beef curry and prawns in brain oil as mains and the flavours were unreal. Yes the price is more expensive than other places however for the quality of food it was worth it.

The food here is really tasty! 🥰 Service was a little slow, maybe because it was quite busy. Still, it’s definitely a must-try. I recommend booking in advance since walk-in might be tough. We got seated on the ground floor, not bad, but it felt a bit cramped and noisy. Parking is quite limited, only a few spots in front, so better to come early or consider other transport

Authentic Thai Food. Bold, fresh flavors. I recommend the green beef curry and rice (moderately spicy), and the chicken skewers with red curry sauce. Homey, cozy, comfortable atmosphere in a wood building. Music was subtle, but the genres could have been chosen to be more suitable. I like the pamphlet that comes with the reservation. Service is very kind, even if some things are occasionally missed in verbal communication. I was checked in on and catered for very well. Do come on the time of your reservation (not early, not late) to avoid waiting.

Faultless in every way. We didn't book but they still managed to find us a table within minutes. Every one was smiling, the staff were amazing, knowledgeable and they had the art of service off to perfection. Staff training is excellent...I have to give them a 10/10 Food stunning and it's an impossible pick on the menu. Presentation and food quality 10/10 Ambience and restaurant, busy lunch service but still magical . Daily specials on the board 9/10 Overall guys , I have to give you a 10/10 and fingers crossed we'll be back in the next few days for more of your culinary delights and smiling faces.

Easily one of my favourite restaurants in Chiang Mai! The flavours of every dish were incredible, and the warm, friendly team made the experience even more special. I was pleasantly surprised with a birthday dessert at the end of the meal — such a thoughtful touch that made the evening unforgettable. Highly recommend making a reservation before visiting, as it’s a popular spot among the locals.

It’s one of the best Northern Thai restaurants to bring guests and visitors to. The flavors are truly authentic and delicious. I especially love the stir-fried Chiang Da with egg, and the spicy shrimp salad (pla goong) is also amazing. Plus, the parking area is spacious, which makes it even more convenient. Highly recommended!
