"Ekachan is our top recommendation for where to have a sit-down dinner in Chiang Mai. The menu is full of Northern Thai bangers, including spicy pomelo salad with crab, crispy chicken wings glazed with a zingy tamarind and lemongrass sauce, and an excellent duck laab with lots of toasted rice powder. There’s a pretty large patio that overlooks the river, but the inside is also a nice place to bring a group, since they usually have singer/songwriter types strumming away on the guitar.
